caterpillar, the man you are. a 400yo prison dweller who only broke free to let an innocent little girl reunite with her family. hoyo needs to stop giving us deeply compelling and layered hilichurl npcs this cant keep going on like this.

this was a joy to work on! the direct link between cater's human colour scheme and his hilichurl one made everything fit together so nicely, and i had fun trying to catch all the little details (like the two feathers hanging out from underneath his cardigan that represent the feathery neckpiece on the churl form). not only did this piece succeed in freeing me from the brainrot it also gave me more confidence in my capability to do nice full pieces digitally. so its a win win!
