You first met Tink while inspecting a human object, carefully taking notes on its details. Lost in your observations, you hadn’t noticed the tiny fairy fluttering nearby, scanning the ground for ‘lost things.’

That’s when he spotted one—only to realize he wasn’t the only one interested. His curious gaze quickly shifted to you.

“Oh hello…are you going to use this?”

He pointed down at the bottle cap, his eyes briefly flickering to your journal. The sound of his voice pulled you from your thoughts, and as you looked up from your notes, your gaze landed on him.

For a moment, you simply observed—taking in his tied blonde hair, delicate wings, puff balls on his shoes, and undeniably cute features.

You give a small smile and head shake at his question. “Oh no I'm not, I was just inspecting.”

Tink flys a little closer to you curiously. “What are you writing down?” You show him your notes happy to share. “I like to journal things I learn about humans. They're so interesting”

Tink’s wings fluttered rapidly as he hovered beside you, his bright eyes scanning your neat handwriting with intrigue. “Humans, huh? I guess they are kinda fascinating,” he admitted, tapping his chin thoughtfully. “Always losing stuff, that’s for sure.”

You chuckled, nodding. “Which works out well for you, doesn’t it?”

He grinned, crossing his arms proudly. “Exactly! One fairy’s lost thing is another fairy’s treasure.”

Looking back at your journal, he tilted his head. “So, what have you learned about humans so far?”

Your eyes lit up at the chance to share. “Oh, so much! Their inventions, their habits… Did you know they have a tool just for picking food out of their teeth?”

Tink’s brows lifted in surprise. “Wait, really? That’s kinda genius.” you turn to him and hold out your hand “I'm (y/n) and I assume you're Tink?” Tink eyes widen a little in surprise when you already knew his name.

He shakes your hand letting out a small chuckle. “Woah how did you know?” you chuckle as well holding his hand for a moment longer to let the warmth of his linger. “Well you've made quite the name for yourself around Pixie Hollow”

Tink rubbed the back of his neck, looking both amused and a little sheepish. “Huh, guess I have,” he said with a small chuckle. “Didn’t realize I was famous.”

You smiled, tilting your head. “Oh, you are. Everyone talks about the fairy who can fix anything.” His wings fluttered slightly at the praise, and he gave a playful smirk. “Well, I am pretty good with lost things.”

Letting go of his hand, you gestured toward the bottle cap he had been eyeing earlier. “So, what are you planning to make with that?”

Tink’s expression brightened as he picked up the small metal object, spinning it between his fingers. “Maybe a tiny shield? A part for a gadget? Or—ooh!—a piece for a wind-up toy!”

Your admiration grew as you watched him brainstorm so effortlessly. “That’s incredible. You see potential in everything.”

Tink shrugged but looked pleased. “Everything has a use. You just gotta figure out what it wants to be.”

You smiled, feeling an unexpected excitement bubbling in your chest. “Would you teach me sometime? How to fix things like you do?”

His blue eyes sparkled with mischief as he leaned in slightly. “Only if you teach me more human facts.”

You grinned. “Deal.”

Ever since that day, the two of you had grown closer—a lot closer. You bonded over shared interests, spending countless hours exchanging stories, exploring together, and learning more about each other.

What started as simple curiosity had blossomed into something deeper, an unspoken connection that neither of you could ignore. The two of you sat side by side, a small gap between you, as you admired the enchanting scenery of Pixie Hollow.

As you spoke, your conversation was light and effortless. “Hey I heard you were captured by humans before. Is that true?”

Tink paused, his wings twitching slightly at the question. His usual playful demeanor softened, and he let out a small chuckle. “Yeah… It’s true.”

You tilted your head, watching him closely. “What happened?”

He leaned back on his hands, staring up at the glowing lights above. “It wasn’t all bad,” he admitted. “I mean, at first, I was scared. Humans are huge, y’know? But the girl who found me… She wasn’t like the others. She was kind. Curious—kinda like you.”

A soft smile tugged at your lips. “Sounds like she made an impression.” Tink nodded, a distant look in his eyes. “She did. But in the end, I had to leave. Pixie Hollow is my home.”

A comfortable silence settled between you as you absorbed his words. Then, after a moment, you nudged him lightly. “Well, for the record, if I ever found a fairy, I’d never keep them locked away.”

He turned to you, grinning. “Yeah?”

“Yeah,” you said firmly. “I’d want them to be free—to go wherever they belong.”

Tink’s expression softened, and for a second, his gaze lingered on yours. Then, with a smirk, he nudged you back. “Good to know. Guess I’ll have to stick around, then.”

Your heart skipped a beat, but before you could respond, he stood up and stretched. “C’mon, let’s go find something fun to tinker with. I think I saw an old human clock by the stream.”

Smiling, you got to your feet, falling into step beside him slipping your hand into his, he glances at you his smile getting a bit wider as he entangles his fingers with yours.

These two were going to be dressed as magical girls but I couldn't think of a design for them, so I drew them in the school uniform. Silver's eyes are too big but she was so cute that I left them anyway. And we get to see her in a ponytail! (Which reminds me of Ryoko Mitsurugi from Real Bout High school.) And I think the uniform is cute, though I will modify the top in the future.

Lilia--oh, Lilia. He was a fighter the whole way here but I won in the end! (Though his eyes aren't very "Lilia.") I'm especially happy with the hair as Lilia's hair style always gives me trouble when I draw him, which is annoying because it looks so simple.

Anyway, I hope you all like these two!

For some people, fictional characters who lie about their identity seem to be a particular berserk button. At least it is among Disney fans; they seem to be harder on characters who do it than those characters really deserve.

For example, Disney's Aladdin. Yes, it's wrong that he lies about his identity and masquerades as Prince Ali. It's portrayed as wrong and he apologizes for it in the end. But when fans call him a "compulsive liar" or claim that his love story with Jasmine is toxic because it's "all based on a lie," aren't they going a little too far? First of all, he's clearly not a compulsive liar. He doesn't lie all the time, or just for fun; he does it because he loves Jasmine and she's required by law to marry only a prince. As for the popular claim that "their whole relationship is based on a lie," I think that would only be true if Jasmine fell in love with him because she thought he was a prince. But she doesn't. She first meets him as a street rat and she likes him then. When he tries to affect a different, "princely" personality as Prince Ali, she disdains him as just another pompous stuffed shirt like all the other princes who have courted her. She only falls for "Ali" when he shows her his true personality again. The fact that he still hides his true identity from her is wrong, but it's not some horrible advantage-taking, the way some fans portray it. To me, that claim seems just as faulty as "Beauty and the Beast is about Stockholm Syndrome"!

Or how about the fans of Mulan who insist that Shang does nothing wrong by dismissing Mulan after the reveal of her gender and refusing to believe her about the Huns' survival. "It's not because she's a woman," they say, "it's because she lied to everyone and joined the army illegally." Never mind that she only did it to save her father's life, or that the law is clearly unjust – Shang himself already went against it by sparing her life after the reveal – or that Mulan is the one responsible for the victory for which Shang and the other soldiers are being celebrated, yet getting no credit. Shang and the other soldiers' expressions show that they feel guilty and torn about this, both before and after Mulan arrives. Shang clearly feels pangs of conscience when Mulan says "You said you'd trust Ping. Why is Mulan any different?" So why do some fans bend over backwards to defend him and implicitly shame Mulan for disguising herself?

Does anyone else have any thoughts on this subject?

I’m in the mood for David. It feels like a David Shaw kind of day. Here’s some Davey and Angel headcannons  some sweet, some kinda sad.. maybe even spicy.

: after their first date, he went into work with the biggest smile Asher and Milo have seen on him since before his dad passed away. He obviously denied it. And didn’t tell them about angel until the relationship got serious 

: The first time they saw each other shirtless, they both kind of stopped for a minute, and just stared in aw of the other person 

: David will sometimes “thank the universe” for bringing them two together……little does he know he’s actually  thanking someone (💋 A forehead kiss to caelum)

: one time angel got into a small car accident. we’re talking nobody was hurt just minor damage to both cars. But the way David was acting you would think it was life-threatening. He could barely sleep. He would cling to angel for days after.  overall just in the panic zone.

: his D!ck is BIG 

: he has piercings he just doesn’t put them in, unless it’s a special occasion. Both for professionalism and so they don’t snag on things

: Asher called Angel “Pack Queen”(queen, being a gender neutral term in this case) and now on occasion, David will call Angel his queen (he kinda joking. kinda not)

: David likes to gently brag to angel, about how just his presence and name can scare the shit out of people. (take my poor Sam for example)

: angel will have David bend down acting like they’re trying to whisper something in his ear….. when in reality, they’re just trying to look down his shirt (get a peek at the man titties ya know)

: David sometimes gets nightmares about his dad’s accident  and when he wakes up, he’s in a bit of a panic and Angel helps him through it.

“there’s nothing you could’ve done Davey”

“our brains make us spiral into 1 million hypotheticals. What we could’ve done, what we could’ve done differently. But…. it was out of your control”

: angel has spent months trying to talk David into getting a pet. But it all comes down to the same thing.

“Milo‘s mate needed some help with something so I went over to their house and saw Milo‘s cat aggro….. he’s really sweet and fluffy…”

: when David was talking to the other pack members about their treatment of Milo. Angel had their ear up to the door. so if Milo doesn’t give sweetheart a play-by-play angel will.

The theme I was going for for this holiday secret Santa illustration was "wish", and I instantly thought about Star from Disney's recent release "Wish". So I illustrated Star with Milagro (@just_firinnie's gender-bend Encanto character).

I tweaked a few parts of the design😅 I hope it's okay🥹

Mary Poppins is probably the first progressive Disney movie. It marks an interesting start of a long process that would lead from the cultural conservatism of Walt Disney himself to the more progressive liberal values from today's age.

Yeah, the film still ends with the nuclear family established almost like the perfect family structure. But noticed how the family isn't fixed by the father gaining even more control over the them, what would be expected from the time period, but by the father letting go of the strict hierarchy that he himself put over them in the beginning.

The film puts a lot of the blame for the family's situation on Mr. Banks himself. Mrs. Banks first wave feminism is played for laughs, but the film is more sympathetic and supportive of her than of Mr. Banks.

Mr. Banks believes in order and discipline, and strict gender and class roles, and that is what leads his family to intense suffering. Even his wife, Winifred, a suffragette mind you, is still highly submissive to him in the beginning.

Mary Poppins represents an element of unabashed fun, optimism, and chaos, clashing with Mr. Banks' strict order several times, breaking apart with the strict gender and class roles, at least for a little while.

Mary Poppins manipulates, subverts, and slightly mock Mr. Bank's sense of order and discipline several times over the film. Mr. Banks himself describe Mary Poppins' philosophy as "sugary female nonsense".

Mary Poppins is strict and disciplined herself, but around her all rules bend, and even the upper classes can dance happily with the working classes as if they are all equal.

Heck, the final scene, Let's Fly a Kite, it's literally all class rules being broken for the final time. Even the greedy bank executives are flying a kite, as happy as children, not exclusively thinking of money for the very first time.

Mary Poppins, intentionally or accidentally, is a very progressive family film for its time.

It always bugs me just a little bit when I see people casually gender bend Disney princesses. Like I GET ITS FUN TO IMAGINE CINDERELLA AS CINDER-ETHEAN OR WHATNOT DONT GET ME WRONG, but like I do t think many people fully comprehend how many of the princess’s stories revolve around them being women, and existing in a world that treats them as such. I think it was only after Moana that we started getting princess stories that didn’t do so.

I’ve always thought this, but I guess after seeing some ai generated gender-bender art calling belle bello, that I just thought was ridiculous.

So I was trying to scroll through Reddit to see if there was a thread about a female fan school, and, spoiler alert, there wasn't at all. (Which I find annoying, since I was looking for inspo for a future fic I'm writing.)

But in my failed efforts to do that, I found another thread discussing why some people don't like female Yuus. Basically, it boiled down to two reasons. One is just plain ol' misogyny. Honestly, that explanation is about as surprising as if Crowley did turn out to be the final boss, since it pops up in not just all fandoms, but everyday life. I do think that's a huge part of it. But the second one was that some people think a female Yuu "breaks their suspension of disbelief." Sorry, I have to call bullshit on that. In reality, a straight up female presenting Yuu is more possible than what one might think. Because...

Crowley is willing to bend the rules whenever it suits his agenda. With Crowley most likely being the final boss and the one that brought Yuu to Twisted Wonderland in the first place, him breaking the rules to have female or genderqueer Yuu stay to fulfill his plans seems super in character for him. Plus, even if that weren't the case, Crowley already allows a fae war general that is centuries old, a grown ass lion man, the son of a man who bribed him to into accepting him (which is highly illegal on both ends) and a literal fucking goddamn robot to attend there. If Crowley is willing to all that slide, I think he would do the same for a female or genderqueer Yuu. Yuu has nowhere else to go, so that gives him even more of an incentive to bend the rules in that instance.

News Flash— all male Yuus are "breaking the rules", too. Yuu is magicless in the canon and no one without magic is able to attend NRC at all. If Yuu was genderqueer or a girl, that's just an added reason and nothing more.

Female staff and faculty working at all-boys school is completely normal. Hell, my cousin's girlfriend even used to work at an all-boy's school as a cook, and she never had to hide her gender to work there. It's not that big of a stretch for a female Yuu to work as a janitor at the start and have others know about her presence and gender for Crowley to just give her a spot as a student like in the canon. The same could be said with genderqueer Yuu.

Outside of changing a couple lines, the game would be virtually the same. Yuu is already a blank slate and a self insert, so they could be any gender, race, sexuality, etc you want without it affecting the overall plot a ton.

I doubt any of the named guys in the story would care that much about Yuu's gender. Sure, the Sunset Savannah guys would be much less rough on her and be more helpful. And sure, I can see small to medium style changes to how the cast would interact with Yuu if she was a girl or female presenting. (Like for example, I can see Ace and Deuce being more protective of a female Yuu while Riddle would treat her the exact same as the canon.) But I doubt they would fuss over it and treat her like a princess like the RSA boys. Hell, if anything, I think the fact that she's a literal alien from another world where Disney is a thing would be far more lucrative to them, especially Azul, who is known for wanting huge secrets to use for his advantage. Not something as minor as her gender.

As for outsiders, it's revealed during Book 6 that Crowley lies constantly to the press and others about the overblots. I can't see him doing anything different in this situation.

Honestly, if we follow that logic to its conclusion, then the school wouldn't allow anyone of any other gender besides cis guys period, including non-binary and other genderqueer people, which is...yikes. While I highly doubt most people saying this are intentionally being transphobic nor would I ever accuse anyone of being that by saying that statement in of itself, but that's how it comes across to me.

Most important of all, there's a female Yuu in the Savanaclaw manga, who, at least far as I've seen, is not confirmed to be hiding her gender.

So, yeah. If you aren't a fan of female Yuu fics or RP, that's fine, and to each their own. You are certainly entitled to your opinion and preferences. Yuus of other genders are cool, too. I've read some great fics with male and gender nonbinary Yuus. I just think the argument that the universe and fan content would have to bend over backwards for a female Yuu to exist holds no water. In reality, it's more possible than what some want to think.

Disney Legacy Challenge

10 Generation: Disney Challenge

Defeat = beat in chess, fighting, magical duel or other appropriate competitive event OR (optional rule) murder

Rules:

Look through all challenges for current princess. There are some timing restraints and traits mixed in you’ll need to take a look at.

When the heir (next princess) is born, you’ll need to look over all of their rules as there are some timing restraints in the rules (parents needing to disappear as a child for example).

You can have any mods you feel don’t give you an advantage for any rule in the challenge.

The princess can be any gender or sexuality, it’s up to you to decide how close to the movies you want to keep it.

Aging should be turned on but you can try it with any lifespan length and you may change the length of the lifespan whenever you want.

The main point is to have fun so you can bend or add rules as you see fit. 

If a challenge requires a pack you don’t have, you can bend or skip that rule. 

If you’d rather not have your sims constantly dying (Disney parents die a lot), you may remove them from your household and reintroduce them when your sim finishes their challenges.

Most princesses do not require specific traits or aspirations because I wanted your sims to be unique characters whose day-to-day lives go as you choose. Also maybe you wanted an extra challenge so you made Snow White, who has to do all cleaning, a slob or lazy. You can add rules if you like or bend them but if you use this template, please credit it :) This legacy challenge was made by my wife and I <3

Cinderella (Cinderella)

Mother dies when she’s a child

Father remarries and dies shortly after, before she’s a teen

The stepmother and stepsisters must have negative traits

The stepmother and stepsisters have to be enemies with Cinderella

Cinderella has to have neat trait

She has to do all the cooking and cleaning

As a young adult, Cinderella throws a (gold) level party were she picks her prince

Cinderella marries prince

Generation Two

Snow White (Snow White)

Start as toddler or child when mother dies

Father remarries evil queen and then dies

Snow White runs away as a teen and runs away to live with seven dwarves (children)

Dwarves must have a trait that represents them/their name

Dwarves must get an A or complete aspiration before aging up

Snow White must do all cooking and cleaning for dwarves

Snow White can never answer door to strangers especially elderly women

Snow White must marry the first age-appropriate Sim they see (that matches his/her sexual preferences)

Generation Three

Aurora (Sleeping Beauty)

Taken from her family as a baby

Raised by erratic-traited fairies

She must reach level 10 of the gardening skill

She must have the lazy trait or (optional rule) a custom trait mod for sleepy

Must meet a sim as a teen and fall in love

She gets pregnant and (optional) sleeps through the pregnancy

Sleeping Beauty can’t wake up until the queen is defeated by the love interest

She must have at least three children

Generation Four

Elsa (Frozen)

Must have at least one sibling

Parents must die when she’s a child

Elsa cannot interact with other sibling from childhood to young adult

Elsa can’t leave her room except for school until young adult

Elsa runs away and lives somewhere blue and/or white

Elsa must reach level 10 singing (optional) and become at least a Master spellcaster

Elsa must become friends with sibling

Elsa must defeat an evil sim OR a sibling’s love interest (preferably both) (Hans)
