Most of the time with con horror stories or con drama the difference between incidents of cons ran by men and women are so fucking shocking like most of the time it ends up like this

Women: Yeah Jane didn’t really know how to handle running a con. She overbooked the hotel, she didn’t pay the artists for art, everything was a disaster, the con got kicked out of the center two days early because of bounced checks, no one got their refunds, the staff had to figure out how to pay the guest voice actors, and do damage control and she fucked off and never showed her face on the internet again. It was her first time ever running a con and it went down in flames. She did try to show her face again but was immediately shunned.

Men: Oh yeah, Jerry ? Started a sex cult. Yeah minors were involved and I think animals too. Used to force girls to dress up as his favorite characters and hand around him or he’d threaten to blacklist them with blatant lies and of course everyone believed him because he surrounded himself with an echo chamber of creeps like him and any con staff that loudly protested against him were blacklisted from working in any con in the state. He went on regular power trips and used abusive language and was just a terrible person to be around and would book voice actors who were also known creeps and would loudly defend them online. How long did he run the con ? Fifteen years until they had to remove him from the head con chair because multiple victims threatened to go to the police but they replaced him with his buddy Mike. Yeah he’s still allowed to attend the con despite everything and he still has supporters and staff is alerted of his inappropriate behavior but they don’t do anything about it.

None of the kids at a gaming con play test booth knew how to use a mouse and keyboard. So they replaced it with a controller. Then half the kids walking up brushed the controller aside and tried touching the monitor.
