What we're doing here

Hello! After seeing @noctua-an-owl's awe-inspiring thread of First Round Gameos on the bird app, I realized that I could do the same thing over here, since tumblr is better suited for storage. We managed to hunt down almost 200 of the First Round Gameos released this August (plus three Jameos for enrichment!).

And now we get to look forward to ANOTHER WEEK OF GAMEODENS*?? Amazing!!

Expect about 4 gameo(den)s a day during this second season, before we go back to first season re-runs. If you'd like to contribute to our tracking sheet, it's here. If you want to share anonymously, feel free to message me with links or questions.

Thanks to @deadboyagency for posting so many of these already, and the biggest hugs and gratitude to @noctua-an-owl who worked (and is still working) tirelessly on twitter to collect these gameos - my work very much builds on what they did so lovingly. If I've missed anything from either round, please please please send me links and tips to Gameos, yours or others that were publically posted.

I will update posts with new information as I find it, especially when I can track down online handles, and I'll delete duplicate posts to keep it tidy. <3

Our “very literature and history inspired” cameo ✨

We asked about Edwin’s favourite books, and whether he would have read WW1 poetry (his answer to that one actually kills me) and what part of history he would have been most shocked to find out about after coming back from hell. 

Also the line “I have a feeling you both perhaps have more brains than Edwin” will make me giddy with joy forever!

🍬 Happy Halloween! Here's some new George content as a treat 🍬

I think it is so interesting that he talks about Edwin moving with a flourish! We can see some examples of this even if we just look at a few moments from the show. It's in how expressively he talks, it's in how he swivels on his heel when he moves, and it's in how he looks just as surprised as Charles when they're listening to new ideas.

I wanted to appreciate everything George put into his performance for a moment. He's so complex, so comfortable in his skin. I love that George mentioned that Edwin does not have regrets or guilt about his capabilities. He is comfortable how he is. I also love that he humored us and gave us gems like he is comfortable with specifically Charles touching him. I just love that Edwin feels so confident in who he is and what he wants.

How have you enjoyed your Cameo experience?

“I've really enjoyed my Cameo experience, you know. It's been a really, um--you know, there's two reasons why I say I've been moved. I've been moved because people have shown generosity to a cause that's, you know, obviously very close to my heart, but I've also been really moved by not just seeing the love for the show but by feeling it. People have asked really specific, intricate questions, really detailed questions, which goes to show, to me, one, probably how many times they've watched the show, in the best way, but also kind of how invested they are in it, really. And, you know, me, Jayden, Kassius, the rest of the cast, this has been nearly three years of our lives that we've poured into this show and we all love it so much, and we've been really invested in it. And generally when you put so much into something, you want--you hope that something comes out of it, and this has been getting to feel that come out of it this week, because I'm not really online in a sort of interactive way, has been very special and very gratifying and very moving. So yeah, thank you, to everyone."

Received a Cameo from George today. He is so thoughtful-- I had written to him about how the most impactful scene on the show was Edwin's scene with Simon in Hell, as it identified this deep wound in me (in terms of being a full-ass adult queer who has only quite recently accepted their own queer identity) that began healling with "if you punish yourself, everywhere becomes hell." His response may have made me immediately cry tears of gratitude. My question itself is rather basic-- blame it for being at work and rushing when I submitted it, but his reply is not rushed at all.
