GoT idea ahead
So I've heard the whole "dany hatched the dragons through blood magic/sacrifice" right and I have a half baked thought about how the series ending could have gone.
We've seen that her dragons particularly drogon and her have a very special slightly out of the norm bond right guys so what if that's partly because of the way they were brought into the world. We also know/have heard that when she does drogon takes her body back to old valyria but what if that's because she's not like DEAD DEAD more like in a near death stasis type of thing. What if when she hatched the dragons it affected her as well in such a way that as long as one of the dragons is living then she can't fully die but isn't fully whole either and drogon takes her to old valyria to bring her back via dragon fire. Taking her body to somewhere safe somewhere the magic of the dragons is strong and breathing life back into her. Like having a life bond between her and the 3 dragons would even make her actions near the end of the season that much more understandable because then it's on the context of 2 of her dragons are dead 2 pieces of her life/soul are ripped away brutally of course she's going crazy of course she's rapidly escalating in her descent to madness her essence of being that was equally shared between her and her dragons now rests on her and drogon and she's SPLITTING AT THE SEAMS

You guys this might not be an original thought but bare with me. I was writing the next chapter of River of Gold and I smoked weed (I’m Canadian it’s legal) so now my brain is just coming up with stuff.
What if Tywin’s three children represent his most noted qualities.
Jamie Lannister: Disciplined, Self-Assured and Loyal to Cersei, he to me represents the love Tywin had for Joanna. How he never married again and left the royal court to shield her honour.
Cersei Lannister: Anger, Protective, Strong Headed. Cersei I think represents the more aggressive side of Tywin. She picked up his cruelty, that whole thing about doing anything to put your family first.
Tyrion Lannister: Intellectual, Knows how to play the game. In the words of Genna Lannister herself. Tyrion is the most like Tywin when it comes to court business and dealing with snakes in your corner.
I don’t know if this was intentional by GRRM or if I’m reading too much into it. But I absolutely love how it shows the way Tywin has influenced his children and which parts of him he bestowed on them.
Come to think of it, if those three were as tight as the Stark siblings, I’m afraid they might have been unstoppable.

Serra of Lys
[Possibly a Blackfyre and/or Possibly the mother to (F)Aegon]

The Second Wife to Illyrio Mopatis, but later died in Pentos due to a Plague. He has carried a locket around with a painting of her inside and her stone hands ever since. She was described as having big blue eyes, and pale golden hair which was streaked with silver
Some theorize (myself included) that although it is stated that the male Blackfyre line died out, it doesn’t specify if the female line had so there is a possibility that (F)Aegon could be her son with Illyrio. Added to that theory sometimes is that Varys could’ve possibly been her brother.

[Magister Illyrio [Prince (F)Aegon [Lord Varys
Mopatis] Mopatis/Targaryen/ Blackfyre?]
Blackfyre]
Idk about that one but it would explain why both of those men are working together and towards the same goal since (F)Aegon was apparently a baby, and it would also explain the golden company backing up his claim as they have been known to support the Blackfyre’s every time as opposed to The Targaryens. I also don’t think George threw those lines out for nothing…he’s cooking and I hope we eventually get to find out what

I am so gosh darn autistic.... I'm drawing all the Westerosei Dragons and trying to map linages.
SO! I watched Haley Wipjacks wonderfulll Targaryen Family Tree Video
youtube
And listen. Watch it while you read this or do anything its a hoot ok? But that lead me down a "Dragon Pit" one could say because if they have such lineages for the humans why not the objectively cooler dragons? If they are a war beast you would think that they would carefully control the breeding and health of them right? Well apparently I keep better track of breeding in my RATS than the TARGARYENS DID OF THERE DRAGONS. Too into incest to keep track of there dragons.... BUT THERE WAS INCEST IN THE DRAGONS TOO FOLKS.
As far as I can tell nobody has tried to figure out the lineages, or those who have don't have animal breeding experience so are making less than educated guesses..... SO I AM GOING FOR IT.
Also GRRM be damned he wrote so little about the dragons dude has to be regularly asked by professional artists the colors of the dragons HE HAS COMMISSIONED THEM TO ILLUSTRATE. I kid you not the WIKI has multiple artists quoted as saying they had to ask GRRM cause the dude refused to like... document this. ___-LINAGES-___ Lets start on the biggest point I have... Linage Ignorance.
Here is an example of a clear lineage for the Iconic Tripple Crown winner Secretariat. Horse racing was mostly payed for by the upper class so it was posh. We have secretariat at front and all of his ancestors from left to right starting with his mother "something royal" all the way back to a great great great grand mother Catnip. and in fact there are 32 tripple great grandparents documented. This is for a horse thats job was only to run fast and long. FAST AND LONG thats it. According to Oxford Accademic The oldest horse pedagree was 3000 years old but we have a 4000 BCE pedagree chart that may chalenge that.
SO anyone who wants to say "Well its a pseudo Middle ages period nobody documented that stuff back then" LIES. People have controlled the bloodline of there working and war animals IN detail for millennia... and the Targaryans care about blood, a lot. They 100% would have chosen to restrict access to breeding to breed center dragons to get traits.
"But Horsefreek!" you cry confused. "Arnt the dragons magic and breed magical becasue they don't know how it happens in lore?"
And Aristotal thought Eels came from "but they originate in what are called the entrails of the earth, which are found spontaneously in mud and moist earth." - [Cresswell translation, 1887]. The Mysters knowledge is flawed and nobody can get close enough to shove an arm up the dragons cloaca to check for internals, so a female dragon is just one that lays eggs. Heck we have to DNA test some modern birds to tell if there male or female without egg laying behavior. You can at least track matrilinialy through nests to tell whos the mom of the eggs in the nest, theirs no known cuckolding in dragons. We have rumour that they can swich sex but its only a theory and has never been outright proven with an example, look back to Aristotals nonsense about EELS. It took us until this year to understand how some eels reproduce. They have no idea what the heck is happening in there world.
The lack of information is ASTOUNDING. And I will fight GRRM to write a bestiary or Dragon Guide. He is such a coward for leaving it so empty. Again... dennys parking lot SIR. My wheelchaired ass vs you. __-ONTO THE LORE-___
Balerion - He was born just before the fall and was about the size of a horse so approximately a year or two old when the Targeryans fled the calamity. He is the only surviving male adult dragon from old Valeria and therefore has the most diverse genetics of the group. Big, black (with red undertones) and had black with red flame. He was also the longest lived dragon living to at least 208. He is likely the father of any dragons after the two females who participated in the concurring.

Meraxes - She dragon (implying that she layed at least one clutch of eggs as only laying eggs got a dragon labeled as a she dragon) who died during the faild conquering of Dorn. She was 30+ when she died so definitely old enough for bare minimum one clutch but likely multiple if other prolific females had anything to prove. She was silver with gold yellow eyes. We have no modern official depictions of her (the old ones are not modern cannon) and so we get to decide some things about her. I mainly did some back tracking because evidence points to her having layed at least one clutch. I believe that there is evidence that she had at least 1 kid that survived the Cannibal (the dragon that lives on dragon stone that eats other dragons). That Kid is Quicksilver. She did die in 10AC but that still provides plenty of time to have layed a clutch that hatched in 7AC containing Quicksilver. Knowing that Quicksilver is her kid and that she lived till 43AC we have 3 dragons who could be her kids, Dreamfyer, Vermithore, and Silverwing. I beleve Vermithore is described too close to Vhegar and Balerion to be her kid, but I think we have a high likelihood that Silverwing and Dreamfyer were Her (quicksilver) kids. Knowing a bit better what her grand kids (and great grand kids as Danys tripplet boys are likely Dreamfyer's) and kids look like with at least some knowledge of what she likely looked like knowing the avialible breeding males at the time were the Cannable or Balerion. And the Cannable ATE OTHER DRAGONS so I dont see a female dragon approaching him for breeding. So yes I made an educated guess. Her egg is also from a male female pair that died during the 100 years of blood and was born on dragon stone not long after arrival.

Vhagar - The old lady of HotD. My least favorite dragon with my most favorite storyline. Laena Targaryans death by her fire was a transcendent piece of media, hands down amazing perfect moment. In lore and in show Vhagars a hater. Vicous and willfull. Layna seems like the best time she had in her life. Laena gave her her only known peace and joy, and when she died she just gave up and became a grouchy old lady. Valid honestly. SO here's the deal. Shes our only known female dragon to survive the conquering. So everybody thinks shes the mom to all dragons of the second generation. I think Ive proved that wrong. I do think she has a handful of direct kids I can point to. Vermenthore starts with a V and was brown like her and looks a lot like Balerion in lots of depictions. Sheepstealer a fellow brown born atleast 32AC but likely Vermenthores hatchmate at 34AC. And honestly I think that Caraxes is her kid but I think his father is The Cannibal and not Balerion. He was hatched very late in Balerions life and Balerion was in Kings landing during that time in the Dragon Pit built for him in his old age. Vhegar was on Dragonstone after the death of her last rider and only returned to the dragon pit just before Prince Baelon claimed her in 73AC. Caraxes was born sometime in the late 60AC. He was old enough to ride in 72 AC when Amon claimed him. That implys that he was fathered on Dragonstone. Also it just fits the bloodworm, freak of nature, to have a Cannibal freak of a father. I do not think she had any clutches after that. I chose to draw her a little younger with more of that brown bronze tone than in the show where she has oxidized so green. Tho the green will come into play in lineages to come later.

The Cannibal - Legit almost nothing is known about him except hes black and was likely on Dragonstone before the Targaryans. He was black. That's it... I'm waiting to draw the wilds after everyone else. So lets look at the possible current liniages:
--Balerion or The Cannibal
Egg- x
--Meraxes or Vhegar
Thats it. Thats all the info we have. We know that Vhegar was the child of two Dragons who died after the fall but early during the 100 Years of Blood after the fall of Valeria, and we know that Meraxes is the child of another pair and hatched first. And we know Balerion is the only Valerian Dragon to Survive from the fall. The Cannibal is just rumor and horror. Thats where we start.
From an art standpoint I have Quicksilver done and I'm working on Dreamfyre. I'll likely wait to post the next part till I have Vermenthore and Silverwing done as well as to me (bar Quicksilver who is likely Meraxes and Balerion's baby) they are all the same generation, and will be a good lore building standpoint.

Dany Targaryen who cannot have her own biological children but when she liberates Westeros she adopts so many orphans. She DOES break the wheel, she restores peace and even though she has lost people close to her, it doesn't stop her from loving her subjects.
She especially has a soft spot for women and children. She makes sure the children she rules over are always fed, with proper clothes and shoes.
They are all given a choice of schooling, boys and girls alike, children from all classes, cultures and backgrounds.
There is no more Iron Throne because Drogon still melted it down. Maybe her reign does begin with ashes ... but like a phoenix, her people rise.

In my personal opinion a lot of people misunderstand the situation around Ned's battle at ToJ. Ned and his men fought and killed several men of the Kingsguard. But why? Why won't they let him get to his sister even though Rhaegar and Aerys are dead?
"I came down on Storm's End to lift the siege," Ned told them, "and the Lords Tyrell and Redwyne dipped their banners, and all their knights bent the knee to pledge us fealty. I was certain you would be among them." "Our knees do not bend easily," said Ser Arthur Dayne. "Ser Willem Darry is fled to Dragonstone, with your queen and Prince Viserys. I thought you might have sailed with him." "Ser Willem is a good man and true," said Ser Oswell. "But not of the Kingsguard," Ser Gerold pointed out. "The Kingsguard does not flee." "Then or now," said Ser Arthur. He donned his helm. -Eddard X
Aerys is dead. Rhaegar is dead. Aegon is dead. Rhaenys is dead. And they know Prince Viserys is alive and unprotected at Dragonstone with a respected knight. Why not go to him? The next in line. Why stay and guard Lyanna? Because they're not guarding Lyanna. They're guarding their King. Jon Snow. They are the kingsguard and their knees do not bend easily. They cannot bend their knee to anyone other than Rhaegar's last living son. They know Lyanna is dying, they know Ned will take Jon away. They might even think Ned will kill him then and there, why not? His faction killed Aegon and Rhaenys. They aren't stopping a young man from seeing his beloved sister, they're stopping him from killing their rightful king.

They butchered all female characters and it's true, but people can simply don't like Sansa's chapters or don't enjoy her character because she's classist. She thinks bastards are beneath her in earlier chapters and in Alyanne. She's disgusted by Arya spending time with Butcher boy and other peasants because they're beneath her.
I'm not saying she's s bad person or the worst one or that we should blame her for being passive while being hostage. She's a kid, she's s victim, she can still have a positive change. but I'm reminding that saying people are misogynist because they don't like her is a reach. And it's not that people hate her, they just point out things she did or thought about in canon and her fans scream "you hate her! You hate women!" No. It's okay to not like a character, you can point out their flaws, it doesn't make you a mysoginist.
Oh, trust me, the issue isn’t that people simply don’t like Sansa—it’s why they don’t like her and the patterns that emerge when you look at how traditionally feminine female characters are treated in fandom discourse.
See, I don’t care if someone criticizes Sansa for her classism. That’s a valid discussion. I don’t care if someone dislikes her personality. Not every character is for everyone. But let’s not pretend that the dominant criticism Sansa gets in fandom spaces has ever been about her early prejudices. No one’s out here writing essays about how Sansa Stark needs to deconstruct her internalized feudal biases. What do we see instead?
“Sansa is useless.” “She’s weak.” “She’s stupid.” “She just stands there and does nothing while other people suffer.” “She should have done something.”
And that’s where misogyny enters the chat.
Because when you actually break these takes down, what they boil down to is that people resent Sansa for not being proactive in the way that they think a strong female character should be. She’s written as a character whose resilience is passive rather than active, who survives through adaptability rather than aggression, and fandom hates that. This is a known trend in media reception.
Feminist film and literature studies have examined this bias for decades. De Beauvoir discusses how femininity is traditionally coded as passive, and because of that, it is devalued in comparison to traditionally masculine-coded traits like physical strength, direct confrontation, and assertiveness. Susan Faludi discusses how women who embody traditional femininity often face more ridicule than those who adopt “strong” or “unconventional” roles. And the male gaze, as theorized by Laura Mulvey, conditions audiences to respond more favorably to female characters who are active participants in traditionally masculine-coded spaces—combat, strategy, direct rebellion—while dismissing those who navigate systems through softer, less immediately visible means.
Sansa fits this mold perfectly. She does not fight with a sword, she does not make grand speeches, she does not take direct violent action, so fandom deems her “useless.” But here’s the catch—this standard is not applied equally.
Think about how Tyrion is treated for his ability to navigate the political landscape through words rather than force. Is he called “useless” for not picking up a sword and charging into battle? No—because intellect and political maneuvering, even when nonviolent, are still considered active and thus valuable in a way that Sansa’s more passive survival is not.
Now, compare Sansa’s treatment to Arya’s. Arya is beloved in fandom spaces, and yes, she has her own set of haters, but notice how different the tone of that criticism is. Arya is rarely called “useless.” She is rarely ridiculed for being afraid. She is allowed to be traumatized, to make mistakes, to be messy and complicated in ways that Sansa is not—because Arya performs a more masculine-coded form of resilience. She fights, she kills, she runs, she rebels.
And just to be clear, none of this means that Arya’s arc is bad or that her popularity is undeserved. The problem isn’t that Arya is liked—it’s that traditionally feminine resilience is not. The issue is that Sansa is not disliked because of her flaws in isolation, but because those flaws reinforce her femininity, and femininity is what people are actually responding negatively to.
This is why calling Sansa hate misogynistic is not a reach. It’s not about saying that everyone has to like her. It’s about looking at the larger pattern of why she is dismissed, why she is mocked, and why so many people cannot accept a female character whose form of strength does not align with masculine-coded ideals.
So no, I’m not saying that every single person who dislikes Sansa is a raging misogynist. But I am saying that if your criticism boils down to “she’s useless, she’s weak, she’s stupid,” you should probably examine why those specific critiques keep coming up for female characters who embody traditional femininity. Because it’s not a coincidence.

Streets are saying what Aemond is doing here is taking a ring from his brother.
Some say it is some kind of betrothed ring with Helaena and others that it is Viserys'. I don't know what to think actually bc I don't know anymore what they want to do with Aemond in this part. What do you think?

It can be he wears both rings but I think Viserys' ring is the one he wears on his little finger and it's the one he wore before going to battle (????

Satin Flowers Theories That Spark Joy:
1. He is a highborn!!!!
DEFINITELY POSSIBLE!!!!!! Satin having skills that mainly a highborn would have {reading, writing, etc}, him being bad at keeping fires in Jon's fireplace going {which is something a servant would do, and not a highborn}, etc.
2. He is the real Prince Aegon Targaryen {son of Prince Rhaegar Targaryen and Princess Elia Martell *who was "killed" when Tywin Lannister and his army sacked King's Landing*} and not Young Griff!!!!
A little out there, I know, but it's a fun theory!!!!!!!! If Satin is Rhaegar and Elia's Aegon, and Jon is Rhaegar and Lyanna's Aegon {or whatever Jon's real name might be, I really hope it's not Aegon}, then that means Jon Snow has been {as far as we know} one-sidedly so beyond down bad for his own biological brother for like 3 books {knowing the Valyrian's, that's not a bad thing, but they're men *again, still not a bad thing, but same sex marriage is illegal in ASOIAF, and one or both might understandably not be into family fucking*}.
And if they're both Rhaegar's sons, them and Daenerys {Rhaegar's little sister} completes yet another 3 headed dragon {Dany as Aegon The Conqueror, Satin/Potential Aegon #? as Rhaenys, and Jon/Potential Aegon #? as Visenya. Walk with me. W A L K W I T H M E ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! }
More cons: 1. Satin being Rhaegar and Elia's Aegon would mean that another heir to the Iron Throne has thrown his life away to serve at a place that will kill you if you try to quit. And 2. As far as we know, Jon and their friends are the only support he has, and that wouldn't be enough to help him reclaim the throne {that Daenerys is also fighting for}.
3. He is one of Robert Baratheon's bastards!!!
Robert {a Baratheon man with Targaryen blood} was in love with a Stark man {Ned Stark, and not Ned's sister Lyanna *who went to war for, but couldn't even remember what she looked like*} and now Jon {A Stark man with Targaryen blood} in love with another potential Baratheon man with Targaryen blood?!?!?!?! {They'd still be related, but not as close as they'd be if he was Rhaegar and Elia's Aegon!!!!!!!!}
---
Satin Flowers Theories That DO NOT Spark Joy:
1. He is one of Littlefinger's MANY spies!!!!
WHAT WOULD BE THE POINT?!?!?! I mean, if it somehow ties into Littlefinger's whole climb up the Ladder plan, sure. But other than that, he would just wasting his time, money, and a very pretty boy that can make him even richer.
2. HE IS ONE OF JON SNOW'S KILLERS!!!!
No matter Satin's possible station in the world, he literally has NOTHING to gain from killing Jon!!!! Jon comforted him when he was scared, stayed by his side while fighting, elevated his status {which includes living with Jon in his chambers instead of barracks full of men that hate him}, verbally tore apart all who talked shit about him, etc!!!!
The only thing Satin gains from killing one of his very few supporters, would be getting hurt and killed by enemies. Saying that Satin Flowers is one of the men that killed Jon Snow is about as believable as Sansa Stark causing the Doom Of Valyria {which happened centuries before she was born, but knowing Sansa antis, I'm sure they've found a way to blame her for that, too 🙄🙄💀💀}.
---
Or, Satin Flowers could be just as GRRM introduced him as: A former sex worker turned into a man of the Night’s Watch, nothing more, nothing less. But I have a feeling that GRRM has plans for Satin, and I PRAY those don't include hurting or killing him right after the mutiny, or him being a traitor. Either of those would kill Jon....again....💀💀💔💔

Joffrey laughing while talking about Rhaenyra’s death to then die the same way Aegon II only adds fuel to my theory that in her final moments Queen Rhaenyra placed a real curse on her brother and those who share his likeness

“Rhaenyra Targaryen had time to raise her head toward the sky and shriek out one last curse upon her half-brother before Sunfyre's jaws closed round her, tearing off her arm and shoulder.”

Sacred fire, blood, and willing self-sacrifice - these are the elements required to forge Lightbringer; the same elements Dany invokes when she walks into the pyre to birth Drogon, specifically.
The dragon has three heads, the Child of Three.
Dany functions as Nissa Nissa by bearing her breasts to the flames, burning and sloughing away to merge with Drogon, collectively becoming Lightbringer, and finally being reborn as Azor Ahai.
Her children are Legacy (Viserion, born of mercy), Opposition (Rhaegal, born of vengeance), and Lightbringer (Drogon, born of self-sacrifice) - collectively forming the three headed dragon: the Lady of Light, the Shining Lady, Daenerys Targaryen.
Child of three, THE DRAGON HAS THREE HEADS. (And they’re all her).

A list of my most unpopular ASOIAF opinions and theories
Please remember this is all based on the books alone, and there also might be SPOILERS for Fire and Blood and the Game of Thrones book series.
ALSO I might open the requests for Game of Thrones fics and headcanons, and maybe for Baldur's Gate as well once I get back into it.
Okayyy so here we gooo.
1. Maegor's story doesn't add up
Don't get me wrong, he must've obviously been a horrible king and a shitty husband, but reading the chapters that talk about him in Blood and Fire, it all just felt like a list of rumours and versions of all nefarious crimes he would've committed. There are about five versions of whatever he did with each wife of his, each of them more depraved than the one before.
Again, I don't think he was an angel or anything, but my theory is that his history was written by biased sources. His reign was made illicit by Jaehaerys, so it would've been in his best interest to have him remembered as nothing more than a viscious monster.
It's a form of "damnatio memoriae" that we've already seen, in a way, with Mushroom and the Dance of Dragons. When in a conflict, and especially after a victory, each side wants to depict the side they beat as badly as possible Caesar did a similar thing in "De Bello Gallico", the book about his conquest of the modern French and Swiss territories. In this book he excuses his conquest with the supposed preparations for an attack by the Helvetians, a fact that was proven to be misinterpreted as it was a mere pacific migration. And again, he did the same thing when he accused them of cannibalising each other while being under siege, another untrue fact made up to just make them seem worse.
So in a way, Maegor's reputation could've been made worse by following historians to legitimate Jaehaerys' reign over Aerea's claim.
2. Incest has no effects on Valyrians
Okay, this is a bit weirder. My theory is that Valyrians practised incest because it had no effect on their offspring.
Looking at the Targaryen family tree, I noticed that the cases of madness increase the more Targaryens marry with other houses. Baelor the Blessed was the first mad Targaryen, and he had a grandmother of house Harte and a great grandmother who was half Arryn.
Before Baelor, Helaena is questionably considered mad as well, which would prove my theory furthermore had it not been for the amount of trauma she endured in her life so I'm honestly not gonna count her as "mad". Rhaegel Rargaryen was the second confirmed mad Targaryen, with a Martell mother; his daughter Aelora is questionably considered mad too, and her mother is an Arryn.
Aerion Brightflame was another mad Targaryen, with a half Martell father and a Dayne mother. The last two mad Targaryens were Aerys II and Viserys III, but at this point, the bloodline was mixed with others enough to make the Targaryen madness an unpredictable factor.
3. There is no good or bad in the Dance of Dragons
So I think we could theorise that Valyrians can perform incest so long as it remains within pure Valyrian blood.
Edit: some of you have pointed out how there were other signs of incest complications in the Targaryen family such as malformities and stillborn babies. I really am no biologist and I don't want to dwell into that "Valyrian race supremacy" craziness, but those cases are once again always correlated to marriages between Targaryens and other houses, for example all of Maegor's stillborn and unborn children (as 5 out of his 6 wives were not Targaryens/Valyrians) or the following cases.
Rhaenyra had a claim on the throne because of Viserys' will, but Aegon had a claim on the throne because of the laws of Westeros themselves. You can argue that Alicent wasn't the nicest stepmother, yet you can't look me in the face and tell me a woman in the middle ages married to a KING to whom she had given THREE SONS wouldn't complain when the king dismisses all of them and their claims in favor of his firstborn daughter.
Otto may have manipulated Alicent, but that was just how a Lord was supposed to act in that situation: have her marry the best candidate (the king), have her birth at least a son (she did) and make sure those children are first in line for the throne (as it should be, by the laws).
Viserys shouldn't have remarried if he already had his heir, period.
At the same time, Rhaenyra had every reason to fight for her claim and try and go against the actual laws of Westeros, but it was inevitable that many would've seen badly her attempt at claiming what was Aegon's birthright.
Lucerys was an asshole for mutilating Aemond and never showed remorse, quite the opposite. Aemond was an asshole who shouldn't have had all the power he had, plus I hardly believe his and Alys relationship was really consensual so there's that..
In the end, they all had their rights and wrongs, but that doesn't matter at all. The only point about the Dance is the fact that a pointless conflict led to the downfall of one of the strongest families in Westeros history.
4. Rhaegar didn't love Lyanna
I hate the series for making them marry. Like, seriously, have D&D ever read the books? Have they not read what happened between Maegor and the Faith when he took another wife??
Never, not even in the most twisted of universes, would the faith let Rhaegar kidnap and marry a Stark girl while he was still married to Elia. That just wouldn't be plausible.
And I also don't think he'd just fall in love at first sight with a random girl at a tournament. She was a beautiful soul and had many qualities, but she had nothing that could truly make a man throw away his whole life to pursue her.
He needed another child. The dragon has three heads. He had Rhaenys and Aegon, but Visenya was missing (I just made up the name for the third possible child considering he was naming them after the three conquerors lmao). He needed Lyanna to have that third child, and he knew how to get her to get what he wanted.
Perhaps we'll find out this isn't true. Perhaps Rhaegar really was head over heels for Lyanna, but I honestly really really doubt it.
5. There is no certainty on who the Prince that was Promised is
No matter what the show wants us to see, we still don't know who it is. It could be Daenerys, it could be Jon, it could even be Stannis and we're not gonna know it until Martin reveals it.
I honestly think Daenerys is Azor Ahai, but I'm still curious to see why we would need to revive Jon then. And considering Stannis' sword possibly being Azor Ahai's sword, is it a fake one made by Melisandre to get what she wanted from him, or does he actually possess the original sword?
Well, these are the first theories and opinions I could think of right now, I might post more in the future. Again, please don't slander me in the comments, these are just my personal opinions and I respect all others.

just caught up on yellowjackets, and i have random general thoughts (that im sure other people have said before)!!!
i have no proof fr, but for whatever reason i am convinced that mari is pit girl.
also, i think that the antler queen is a revolving position?? like lottie is the og (obviously) , and maybe van next bc when she was into “the wilderness”… girl that was scary and intense. so maybe lottie or the powers that be passed it off to her for a hot sec as like a thanks for her obedience??? (idk im just talking and i don’t have the best memory so pls correct me) then nat: our gorgeous reluctant, but natural leader, and lastly/now shauna! idk it just randomly reminded me of how in polytheistic religions, different seasons are ruled by a different deity. so maybe it’s a revolving position??
my good diva misty, i believe is something like the hand of the queen or a judge + executioner. kinda like justice personified, trying to keep things in check?? it’s just something about the way she’s drawn to nat, lottie, and shauna in general. maybe i’m overthinking it (real omg i never realized she was holding corn moment) but the way misty and nat’s “friendship” worked, how protective misty was of nat, why she’s so anal about figuring out what happened to lottie, why she’s so fickle about if shauna killed lottie or not. like…what if she’s not just nosey and desperate? what if she subconsciously feels a need to help/serve them?
plus what if it’s her duty to get whatever the wilderness wants, back on track? maybe it really was fate that caused her to accidentally kill nat. what if personal vendetta aside, teen misty remembers and knows that shauna isn’t fit to be the queen? side note: THANK GOD misty finally stuck up for herself to shauna!!! it was a long time coming <3! misty could be shauna’s ONLY punishment (at least that she recognizes), which also makes me think shauna is the new queen bc why does she ALWAYS GET A SLAP ON THE WRIST WHEN SHE DOES TERRIBLE THINGS?? aside from misty (and maybe melissa), she’s basically immune to serious consequences and dying. even the car brakes thing! sure maybe it was a coincidence, but i don’t think it was a coincidence that misty was also there when it happened.

Potential Stannis / Agamemnon parallel
I can't find the source for the claim that Stannis will burn Shireen in the books, but really I just wanna yap about the potential parallels between Stannis and Shireen, and Agamemnon and Iphigenia.
I have seen a lot of the argument that "Stannis wouldn't do that" mainly based on the "pray harder" quote, but GUYS that's the point! Grrm loves a tragedy!
So quick recap of the Iphiginia thing:
Helen of Troy, yada yada thousand ships about to launch, someone kills a sacred deer, they can't leave until Agamemnon sacrifices his daughter Iphigenia to Artemis.
So if Grrm were to take inspiration from the Iphiginia myth, then a few parallels that could be pointed out would be;
both are strong, war competent kings, leading a large army that is now stuck.
in order to continue, they both need to sacrifice a beloved daughter to a god

I don't really talk about theories and such, but I really believe in the whole 'fertile targaryen women = more dragons.'
If anyone wants to put down the op of this theory - because I cannot find them.
But ultimately I agree with the above, and yet, whenever targ women have miscarriages; it's almost like they're blood sacrifices for the dragon line to continue.
It's like a circle and the dragons rely on the women, while the women rely on the dragons. Not only for some sort of spiritual connection, but as a means of defending themselves.
Whenever women are abused and mistreated; this brings down the number of dragons and potential dragons.
And what I truly believe, is that when a Targ woman has a dragon, she is not only protected, but reverred and respected. They can get up and go whenever they please. They have power. It doesn't matter the size of the dragon, they have one nonetheless.
So, why didn't everyone in House Targaryen have a dragon? Mixing the above with also the idea that the father of the family ultimately decides who does and doesn't get a dragon. They decide who does and doesn't get POWER.
Therefore, it sort of seems like with Jahaerys the Conciliator' - that he decided who in his family would have dragons and who wouldn't have a chance. He had many girls; but only like one or two got the chance.
For example, Alyssa married Baelon (her brother) and then she rode her dragon after her marriage.
Ultimately, what I'm trying to say, is that women are an innate part of the dragon lifeline and vice versa. The treatment of women are reflected in the entrapment of the dragons, i.e., the dragonpit. Where they really should be out, free and hunting for themselves. They should have their own power.
Great sources with brilliant takes and info:
