Heard a gen x aged character in a movie recently have the ole “everything is TRAUMA to young people these days…how they’d get to SOFT” rant. It reminded me how much I’d rather be the elder who says “y’all don’t seem ok, what’s happening and how can I help?” type over the “act exactly how I expect and let the world harden you instead of softening the world” type.

After Twilight Princess, Zelda appoints Ashei as her personal guard (Link spends a lot of time traveling). She likes to invite Ashei for tea sometimes beyond her work hours. It's Zelda's way of trying to establish some sort of friendship with one of her peers, which she has some work to do if she wants to accomplish... Talking to Ashei is nice, though, because she has respect for Zelda as a person and not just the Queen of Hyrule. The two have a lot they can relate to, as well, such as being taught to swordfight at a young age.
