this started because one of my ex best friends was REALLY into danganronpa and we were rp partners for a hot minute and liek . i ended up having a dream that kazuichi souda and keith kogane went to the mall together, told them about it n we were liek "hah thats funny" n then the danganronpa au was born even though i wasnt even into it at the time (became a major hyperfix and still is :'/)

There are REASONS I can't and won't teach at a high school (even without considering the issues that make it basically impossible for me to work at a job for more than 20 hours a week), even though I do ok (I hope, some combination of imposter syndrome and my inability be huge) at teaching at a university and these REASONS need to be fixed. Raise teacher pay so teachers don't need second/summer jobs, allow them some freedom in what/how they teach (trust them, they are pros), change the schedule because nobody wants to be in school/at work at 7:30 except masochists (and people being "at work" 9 to 5 is als arbitrary and stupid and, like c'mon, can't we coordinate stuff without listening to a literal system of gears and dials?), change the curriculum in so many ways but focus more on building critical thinking skills because 1. the new careers being pioneered due to advances in tech require people to be able to think, 2. I want people to think so they wake up and cooperate to avert the multiple crises that threaten the planet, and 3. thinking is based and funpilled and everyone should try it. And that's just the start of the stuff we need to do to make our education system decent.

And of course the healthcare system needs a whole bunch of work as well but I was only a pharm tech for a month and a half before absolute DESPAIR killed me so I am not really qualified except to say that patents and private health insurance are stupd and should be abolished, and MD programs should be expanded, more funded, more accessible, less punished, etc.

"But you don't know that nurses work very hard" is never, ever the right thing to say to someone complaining about medical care or the medical establishment in the US. Both are objectively terrible, and sticking up for them only furthers the exploitation of those hard-working nurses you claim to be so worried about.

The same goes for winging "but teachers work very hard" when ppl complain about the school system. Y'know what would be of great benefit to those teachers? The very same changes that would benefit the kids.
