I was talking to a girl I was on a date with about sea squirts, and how weird they are, and she decided to kiss me...
...anyways we make stuffed animals together now.

At a bookshop. Overheard a customer walk in and instantly asks the clerk if he "remembers who he was talking to last week in here."
Clerk: brian
Customer: ah, thanks
(edit as I'm writing this: I realize Brian is most likely one of the workers but I hope it was just like some random other customer he struck up a convo with and this clerk remembered all of this)

5) most of my childhood under 10
4)The multiple times that i secretly walked to school no matter the weather. I was like 12. I also would walk all the way to other peoples houses all the way out of my trailer park to go have dinner with them, also secretly (did i mention i barely knew these people ir theur neighborhood)
3) each time i almost fell of the stage in theatre.
2) doing challenges for the internet without even filming it and almost choking.
1) and finally. The fact that my entire life up to now, if i find a random thing, on the ground, in my house, outside wherever- i either ask people if they dare me to eat it or im alone and curious so i eat it anyway. Some things are not severe but mostly weird. Yes i have consumed at least two or three random pills in my lifetime.

In which I try to make you laugh by explaining how I nearly got concussed by a bookshelf:
a tragedy in three acts
Act I:
I use an old timey CD/radio alarm clock from a garage sale. I've had it for 5 years. The alarm buzzer isn't fully reliable. But I have the 'tism. I'm emotionally attached to it and as such, still use this shitty fucking unreliable little bitch of a clock and wake up on time only if the clock feels like actually going off.
Act II:
Girl, (me), tired of little bitch alarm not going off, decides to try the CD alarm function instead of the built-in buzzer.
Why not try a phone alarm? --you ask.
Well, because I'm unwilling to subject my high-strung anxiety-riddled psyche to the Doom Horror Fallout Video Game Sound that is the iPhone alarm. Because (bis) reasons.
So, the girl (me) determinedly changed the clock-radio function to CD-alarm. Popped in a Hits of he 60s CD.
Forgot about it. Fell asleep.
Act III:
The alarm woke me the FUCK up.
With this:
Cooooouuuuld THIS, beeeeee MAAAAAAAGIIIIIC.... MAAAAAAAAAAAGIIIIIIIIIIIC..... MY HEART'S ALLLLLL A-GLOOOOOOOWWWWWWW....
An oldies song. At FULL FUCKING VOLUME. BLASTING next to my ear.
FROM TINNY ALARM CLOCK SPEAKERS.
Suffice to say, the girl--me, tumbled out of bed and hit her head on the corner of her bookshelf, Swearing Violently in Complete Tortured Agony as the song continued blasting.
I was able to turn it off. Eventually. And my head is fine, thank you.
I am STILL using that alarm clock.

june 2024 book wrap up
Funny Story by Emily Henry ☆☆☆☆☆
Peaches & Honey by R. Raeta ☆☆☆☆☆
Bartleby, the Scrivener by Herman Melville ☆☆☆
One Dark Window by Rachel Gillig (reread)
I had a few exams and the semester was ending, so I haven't read much. I'm planning to read a lot this summer though! I read Emily Henry's Funny Story and Beach Read! I liked Funny Story better! An immediate favorite for sure! It just hit me really hard, very unexpectedly. Funny how Happy Place hit my friend very hard, and I had the same experience with Funny Story. Loved both of the characters and loved to see them fall in love! Beach Read was still very good! I loved it! It was very millennial (I say that with the most love).
I also read Peaches & Honey by R. Reata! Also loved it! It's everything I love about fantasy! I realize I might not enjoy most trending fantasy/romantasy books because they are all very similar. I enjoy stuff that is more original? A bit different? Anyway… for anybody who loves subtle fantasy and historical stuff with a cute romance in the background, they should check it out! Also, it's quite short! It's a little treat! I kind of love how not grand it is. It's not trying to be epic even though the story has potential to be stretched out to a five-book, 500-page series. Can't wait to read the second part!
Speaking of my favorite fantasy, I reread One Dark Window and now I'm one-third into The Twisted Crowns. I loved it so much I had to reread it. AND I NEVER REREAD BOOKS. I can't name one book I've reread. I don't do that, so you can see how obsessed I am. Anyway, I am rereading them in Polish (my native language) and the translation… kind of sucks, kind of ruined the book. Also… SO MANY MISTAKES. I started taking photos of all of them, and I might be sending an email to the publisher because this is sick and twisted. I didn't pay for physical copies just to have them filled with mistakes. Maybe I'm being dramatic, but they really pissed me off because the story is so good and so beautifully written, and they are ruining it!
In June, I also was reading The Serpent and the Wings of the Night, got pissed off 130 pages in when the main girl thought the main guy could probably fuck real good (meanwhile she is terrified of him and won't trust him. Don't piss me off). I'll finish it soon though… I hate DNF-ing books.
Oh, and here as a little treat, given we are halfway into the year, I made a silly little tier list with everything I've read so far!

Me and my mind
Tumblr media
My essence is defined by philosophical dogmas and social interaction. My consciousness is a part of my physical nature, inherently connected to the functioning of the nervous system and the entire organism. The world around me is the environment in which my organism functions and develops.

Ichi buys a T-Shirt Online — 👕
Hey there, berries! Gather around because I've got a little story to tell you! Spoiler alert: it's about patience, Snoopy, and a t-shirt!
How I found the T-Shirt — 💻
The other day I stumbled upon a cute online store that had super duper cheap prices! Naturally, my first thought was, "Is this real?" The prices were so unbelievably low!!!!!!!!
After doing some research (always do your research!) and being sure that the page was safe, I added a super cute Snoopy T-Shirt to my cart and bought it the same day!
The Wait... — ⌛
Now, let's talk about patience... Waiting for that package to arrive felt like watching paint dry! Each day was like an eternity, and I couldn't help but wonder, "Will it actually show up? And if it does, will it be... in one piece...?"
After three days passed, I had time to think and adjust my expectations. For the price I had payed, even if I received a piece of fabric instead of a t-shirt, I was still gonna be happy! I just wanted the package to be here already!
And... the day finally arrived! I swear, I've never ripped open a package so fast before. There it was, in a little box, my beloved Snoopy t-shirt! Happy piggy dance!
Uh Oh — 😬
Now, here's where the plot thickens... As I eagerly put it on, I realized that it was a little bit small for me. Oopsie! Turns out, I was so excited about the low prices that I forgot to double-check the size chart on the website!
But hey, size oopsie aside, I'm super happy with my new Snoopy t-shirt! (I didn't own any Snoopy t-shirts before, so I'm happy to have my first one!) Sure, it might be a bit tight, but nothing a little stretching and strategic breathing exercises can't fix, right?
Patience — 🍃
And you know what? This whole experience made me think about patience. Sometimes, good things really do come to those who wait, whether it's a package arriving at your doorstep or life's little surprises!
Patience also helps you consider different perspectives while waiting. It allows you to think calmly, avoiding getting swept up in the heat of the moment.
The End — 🏁
So, that's my story and my small victory of the week! Let's celebrate these little things more often! Who knows? Maybe next time I'll nail the size, hehe!
Alrighty, my berries, that's all from me for now! Keep being cute, and remember, be patient with your environment, with others and with yourself the most! Write you next time! Byeee!
