Jester surprises Fjord out of his thoughts when she waves Eadwulf over with her outstretched hand, and says, “puppy, come here.” Fjord blinks in a daze. His head is foggy with sleep, that’s all. There’s no way she called him puppy. Eadwulf looms over their hammock, mouth and brow pinched tight. Jester gestures him closer, and grabs the front of his jacket to help lift herself so she can kiss him, “good morning. Have a good day at work.” Eadwulf clears his throat, but doesn’t say anything. His ears are pink. “And Fjord too,” Jester adds. Fjord moves in a haze, like he’s dreaming, and pushes himself up enough to accept a kiss.  Now there’s a blush across Eadwulf’s face. Fjord’s face is hot to match. This was unexpectedly domestic— goodbye kisses before someone goes off to work. They both look to Jester. Her tail wags against Fjord’s leg under their blankets. “Thank you, puppy,” Jester says, “have a good day.”

So, my birthday day is in a few days (7\31 for anyone interested) and my dad sent me an early birthday text.

Now this shouldn't be an issue but 1) he used a childhood nickname that literally everyone called me from the age of 3 to about 12ish before it started being less used\a rarity and 2) I am terminally online on Tumblr

So when I got the text, it was a bit of a double slap

also re: thriller bark, extremely funny to me that this arc has two of THEE most annoying villains (hogback and absalom are not only unbearable freaks who do nothing but terrorize women but absalom is just mid as hell and boring he doesn't even put his pussy into being a mad scientist) and two of the funniest most likable/ least annoying (perona is my hot topic princess whose power is literally what if a girl could make an intangible squishmallow that gives you crippling depression and gecko moria is just some fucking guy who commits to the bit) on the same team like damn i know the vibes in those evil team meetings were fucking abysmal
