You know what's funny? The minute people start aiming higher and taking out the powerful and wealthy and "elite", they're going to change the gun laws. Because their goal has always been for us to stay fighting each other instead of looking towards them as the real threat to our life, liberty, and freedom.

luigi mangione
I wanted to write a dedicate a serious post for Luigi since today is one of his first serious trial dates/days.
Luigi has NOT been convicted as guilty, which means he maintains his innocence. I think I'm guilty of this too, but when we call him a hero, we take away the little grace and dignity he has left. I'm not saying that I'm perfect, but recognizing that he is still innocent until proven guilty is something we should practice.
That means our love for him needs to go beyond the assumption that he is guilty. A lot of people have been saying they like and love him because he did something good, but it is difficult to justify when that if you don't recognize that he is a human being.
Recognizing him as a human being means you take the correct assumption that is IS innocent. When you look at it that way, you'll realize that Luigi is a victim of this entire situation, no matter how strong Luigi has seemed to be in this entire process.
He's a few years old than me, which means, he's just a guy. A kid. Stellar intelligence and future that he had which got destroyed because of how cruel and hierarchal this "so-called" justice system. Let's remember this is the same justice system that strangely struggles to give needed charges to rapists, believes in reducing gun regulation and solving school shooting issues, and advocating for corporation because trickle-down economics (thanks reagan!! fuck you.) is a convenient excuse to milk money from the average person.
We live in an unjust society that will always remain no matter where you go in the world. It will always exist and the best we can do is keep ourselves close to the truth rather than fall prey. We are smart, independent individuals who can pick and choose the things we want to in logical ways to adhere to what is right.
Luigi Mangione is a human. He is a human. He is a human.
Keep repeating this to yourself. He is a human being who when to Penn. He has two degrees. He has a family. He has friends. He went to parties. He was in clubs. He had jobs. He tutored. He ran around on the beach. He went to Hawaii. He had back surgery.'
I hope Luigi's story inspires us all to realize that no-one is perfect. We all have something dark and painful within us all that manifests differently.
With that being side, let's keep hope on our side. Let's use the things we have learned about Luigi and approach his situations with confidence, forgiveness, and kindness.
Fuck these insurance companies, health or not. Fuck the government (in certain aspects not entirely!) and most of all, good luck Luigi,.
We love you.

Any tags pertaining to Luigi fics were on purpose; I want this post to get as much coverage and attention as possible!

It's actually insane to me that his name is more censored than Ted Bundy or Dahmer. But, then on the other hand, their victims were women and gay men, so I am not surprised they don't give a fuck. God forbid a CEO feels uncomfortable 🙄
Tumblr media
the level of censorship around this man is ridiculous, what happened to free speech? It’s just his name.

can’t believe tiktok is actually getting banned, twitter is infested with bots and brainworm-infested musk bootlickers, facebook is king of QAnon, instagram caught the plague from facebook and is dying a slow death in real time… and as the dust settles… only Miss Tumblr is left standing… failing upwards once again

Lesson #1. Don't listen to the media.
Lesson #2. Take it all in.
Lesson #3. Make up your own mind.
Lesson #4. Our enemy is not each other.
Lesson #5. Our enemy is our oppressors.
Lesson #6. This IS about class.
Lesson #7. Those who see themselves as above, do not stand with us.
Lesson #8. We stand together as one, and we have the power. It's why they don't like unions.
Lesson #9. They want to divide us.
Lesson #10. United we STAND. DIVIDED we fall. Pick up those around you who are falling, and help them stand back up. Help everyone you can see that we are equals, we may be different, but we are all equals. We all deserve to live with all of our HUMAN rights, including the right to life (health), liberty (choice), and the pursuit of happiness (defend our life and our choice).
NYT has been discouraging reporters from sharing photos of luigi mangione - not due to concerns for his safety but to dissuade sympathy - and refuses to post his alleged manifesto in full. and today, they published an opinion by bret stephens about how brian thompson is the "real working class hero" of this story.
reddit deleted luigi's account, which was completely innocuous and consisted mostly of him giving out advice in health subreddits. they're also deleting any post that includes his alleged manifesto and banning users for sharing it.
luigi yelled that this was "an insult to the intelligence of the american people" while he was being dragged by police and news pundits are framing it as a deranged and violent outburst. news media are picking apart details of his life to paint him as a cold-blooded and mentally ill individual. even something as innocent as playing "among us" with friends is being framed as some insidious look into an assassin's disturbed psyche, ffs.
news media are also capitalizing on luigi's supposed "bizarre and impossible to understand" politics as an obvious way to paint him as a scary individual when the guy is... a centrist, at most. whose views are similar to those of your average college-educated white guy.
multiple news media also keep harping on about how luigi comes from a rich family. an obvious attempt to break the class solidarity that's been formed around this case by continuously trying to tell us "oh he's not like you guys" while ignoring the now pretty well-documented accounts of his multiple health struggles throughout the years.
and all this, and he hasn't even been found guilty of the crime he's allegedly committed. luigi is, as of right now, still innocent until proven guilty. and the news are trying to tear him apart because they obviously fear the symbol he's becoming for low and middle class america.

I'll be so honest right now the thing I love about everyone not caring or congratulating the guy who downed the UnitedHealthcare CEO is that this will inspire other "copycats" if you know what I mean.
There are people who have nothing left to lose, people who want to make a mark in history, people who would want to be known nationwide, people who see through the NYPD's bluff and realize that they can get away with ending a CEOs life when everybody wants you to get away.
I'm not promoting anything! But this is something that has been seen time and time again in history, soooo

He's more likely to be 'some poor schmuck the cops grabbed to look like they're on the ball because they can't catch the real shooter' than 'latter-day (and somewhat unhinged) Ezio Auditore wannabe who's kind of an asshole but not 100% a dick and understands that the culture war is a distraction from the class war'.
As more news about that guy who shot that other guy breaks, please do keep in mind that cops always lie. Please do keep in mind that any information given to the press by law enforcement cannot be considered in any way reliable until it's been corroborated.

So funny how Blue Cross basically went "You guys make a great point" and rolled back their anesthesia policy after the United CEO was killed
Seems like we might have found a form of protest that works

Remember that the supreme court said that the KKK can threaten as much as they want as long as it’s not a clear and imminent danger to everyone? The second the rich are in the crosshairs that goes out the window. Remember who the state was built to protect. Brandenburg V Ohio(1969)

every single comment on this post has been nuked by reddit.
per what reddit mods have said, they are apparently cracking down on anything glorifying Luigi Mangione or "promoting violence".
so we're absolutely clear on reddit's opinion of "promoting violence":
r/CombatFootage, which regularly shares high definition, extremely graphic war footage, including drones dropping grenades on prone soldiers in Ukraine/Russia and people having limbs being blown off by explosions, has 1,761,375 subscribers. It is one of the top 500 subreddits by subscribers and in the Top 60 NSFW subreddits.
The Columbine Shooters have a subreddit for discussing the Columbine Killers and their families with over 33,000 members. It has been active since May 5th, 2020.
Tumblr media
The Sandy Hook shooter has a subreddit dedicated to discussing him with 3,551 members. Here are some of the posts, in addition to pictures of him as a child. It has been active since December 3rd, 2021. he is also described by a mod of the subreddit as "not a pedophile, but an ephebophile."
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Pennsylvania Weis Markets shooter has a subreddit dedicated to discussing him with 500~ members. It has been active since April 15th, 2022.
Tumblr media
The Apalachee High School shooter has a subreddit dedicated to discussing him with 260~ users. It was created the day of the shooting, September 4th, 2024.
Tumblr media
if you dig through the frequent contributors to these subreddits, you will find that the vast amount of crossover from the users occurs in communities such as r/teenagers, r/highschool, r/roblox and a wide variety of subreddits dedicated to self harm, severe mental health struggles and other mass killers or topics related to them. totally normal stuff that reddit allows.
this is without seeking out all of the alt-right rat nests that have buried themselves underneath somewhat innocuous-looking community names pushing dog whistles and avoiding overt calls for violence.
every last one of these social media platforms, including the one that we are on, overtly allows glorification and deification of the most notorious, mentally unwell, violent, extremist mass killers in modern history. but if you show any kind of approval of what Luigi Mangione is accused of doing, you are censored not in days, but hours.
i sincerely hope this opens the eyes of people who previously didn't see the forest for the trees. this is what is meant by “they got you fighting a culture war to stop you fighting a class war.” not that our cultures aren't significant or that we don't have differences, but that ultimately, the divide among us lies in wealth, not in skin color.
as long as the "poors" are killing each other, there's no reason for alarm or concern. it's only when the roles are reversed that we see action taken or examples made of people like Luigi Mangione.
