when i started watching g1 for the first time, i was NOT prepared for whatever the fuck its doing with Megatron's transformation😭😭

it gave me so much psychic damage

For those outside of America going "why don't you fight back" or "don't you guys know what's going on?" let me explain something to you.

We know.

There is nothing a lot of us can do right now.

We are either minorities surrounded by Trump supporters or struggling to make ends meet or (most likely) both.

These first few days are designed to exhaust us. It's the same tactic he used during his first administration. Overwhelm the media and the masses so that the more sinister things he does gets swept under the rug.

And honestly, a lot of us are checked out because we spent the last four years warning people about a second term because our lives were on the line and those we thought cared about us proved they didn't.

And now we're just trying to find some sort of semblance of happiness in this joyless world we're now living in. We fight when we can, we bring attention to what we can, but a lot of us are just fucking exhausted.

So please, cut us some slack. We've been fighting for the last eight years, we still have to fight for the next four.

Right now, survival is the only rebellion we have.

Garrus' interactions with Shepard post-Thessia are so fucking well written. Everyone else is telling Shepard they're sorry or doing a soft sad voice asking if she's okay but Garrus has this moving little speech about how losing a fight isn't the end of the war and I just. He's so fucking good. He knows what Shepard needs to hear and has the experience to back up the things he says. He's so good to her

physics is great, the physicists say things like "for the first fourteen point two bajillionoths of a second the universe was made entirely of bananas. and then the fruit field collapsed and for the next twelve nanoblinks there were only electrons and apricots" and i just go "that's great, tell me more" and yet despite the temptation to do so i don't think they're even trolling me, i think the thing about the fruit field might actually be true. or have been true for fourteen gigaquadillionths of a second after the big bang. aren't we lucky that happened or we'd all just be made of bananas? what a strange universe we inhabit.

#i love skience it's so weird sometimes #i am watching a youtube video about the higgs potential #the scientist is trying to make it understandable to laymen but i have no fucking clue whether any of this is true it just seems cool.#there's these tiny bisons that make things have mass and they wear tiny mexican hats on their little particle heads.#but also they're not particles they're a field and this is true of all the other things that we know like electrons and quarks and odos.#but maybe not neutrinos as there is a chance those are all left-handed which would mean they don't talk to the hat bisons at all.#this is fantastic stuff i love it. they should add new particles every few decades just to keep us all on our toes.
