Well I have recently watched all of Fear The Walking Dead so now I think I want to do one of those head canon things for pet names. So here you go. :) enjoy my thoughts.

Pet Names~~~

Troy Otto; gosh this man, where to start? First off i feel like he'd love to call his S/O Kitten, he's literally such a predatorial man. Second favorite would probably be something small as well, like Baby Girl or Baby Boy. Like he wants to protect you, so he's gotta remind you that you're smaller than him. (Side note: first nickname before you got to know each other would definitely be sweetcheeks or sweetcakes)

Nick Clark; please he's so gorgeous and sweet. He's protective, yeah, and a little unhinged like Troy, but different. He'd call you something more equal, like Love or Darling. Because yeah.

Wes; there's literally not enough about Wes anywhere. He'd probably put you on a pedestal, idk why I feel that way but I do. He'd use nicknames like Princess or Prince. At first it'd be ironic of course but as you got closer he'd really mean it.

Alicia Clark; this one. She'd be so iconic but she use such sarcasm at first with you. Pookie. It starts out as a jab to get you to hurry up and let her save you from a herd "come on! I don't have all day Pookie!" Shed say, not knowing your name yet. But it sticks much to your dismay

now that i've taken in the entire show and am about to rewatch simply because i can............... i'm so pissed that dave erickson got fired because damn........

FTWDs final season could have been so much better if it was revealed that Troy was running padre and controlling madison (as revenge) this whole time. He knew enough about nick and Alicia to make madison think padre knew who and where they were this whole time. And here are some other reasons how this storyline would make sense and be more interesting:

- Troy has a military background so him taking over and running a military base makes more sense than two teenagers building it up by themselves because all the adults died.

- taking and training up children to be solidiers also would make a little sense because of his own fucked up upbringing and the idea he has of the type of people who were made for this world. He would have probably had the same idea as shrike, that the kids stood a better chance at padre than with their “weak” parents. The mother of his child dying for being a good person and not getting to raise their daughter (who would not be named after his abuser) could have also played into this idea of the kids being separated from their good parents.

- shrikes radiation cure experiments: Troy ran walker bite experiments before, just to see how people would turn. So it would also make sense if the work we see shrike doing was something he approved of or an idea he himself came up with. As for shrike, it would make sense that she turned out this way if she’d spent years being mentored by someone like troy otto instead of becoming evil and stealing children just because her dad died.

- the scene where madison smashes the glass to expose “padre” would have been such a good and shocking reveal if it was Troy. Imagine Madison finding out that Troy is not only alive but had been the one running this the whole time!

There’s also a lot of other things I would have done differently for the other characters too and I would have liked Madison to have a little villain era and do some really fucked up shit as she tries to take down Troy and padre. How dark would Madison go? Would she survive with her humanity still intact?

I know I’m just talking into the void here because no one care about this shitshow but I just hate it when shows have a plot that could have been good, maybe even great but then completely miss the mark and fans come with better theories and ideas with minimal effort and thought.

walker strength is so inconsistent 😭😭 y'all remember in ftwd when noel fishers character got pulled through a tiny hole in the wall? like the severely decayed walker was inside a vent and broke through the wall and yanked that mf off his feet and broke his neck from the force?? what was that?? 😭 how did it do that?

Well good news about that, except for a bunch of dead characters, the locale is doing much better now.

today I am (once again) thinking about s8's lost potential. thinking about how they established a theme of second chances and forgiveness and change (how this applies to victor and daniel and madison (probably others, too, but I don't know their stories as well) thinking about how madison forgiving charlie too late which resulted in her death (it was the thought of disappointing madison again that had her kill herself) thinking about how that could've been a mirror to the troy-madison relationship. how maybe if she made the same mistake twice: holding on to old grief for too long, it might've led to much misery and destruction (i mean. it DID, but it wasn't framed as such by the narrative. no, the narrative told us, troy dying etc was all good and well). how maybe they could've turned the return of Crane (you know 1/2 of PADREs leadership) not into a joke but instead into a credible threat that'd need all of them working together. thinking about how this

could've been foreshadowing instead of just a pointless interaction

like, if they wanted a happy ending, they could've had that in a much more satisfying way than what we got (the random return of alicia last minute, tracy staying with madison of all people, everyone being ok with madison killing tracy's dad in front of her??)
