SEASON 3 THEORIES

Part 1 (Episodes 1-3)

I never made any theories for Season 2, but quite a few of my theories from Season 1 were really close to what actually happened, so I figured I’d give my shot at theorizing Season 3.

I can’t really guess how exactly these plot points will land and in which episode, but I think these things will happen in the first 3 episodes, in no particular order. We’re getting all 3 eps in one night so they’re going to be establishing quite a bit.

Ep1 - Confined

This is the episode where we will see Omega and Crosshair confined at Mt. Tantiss together. Omega has her Season 2 hair, and seems more optimistic than she does later on in the trailer.

At this point I don’t think Omega is treated as a prisoner. I think she’s restricted of course, but it seems to me from the trailer that she’s serving as more of an assistant to Nala Se with limited freedom. Hemlock promised her she’d be treated well, and I feel like he was telling the truth. And maybe Omega has chosen to behave herself (for now) and has made a plan of luring them into a false sense of security so she can find a way out.

And then she sees Crosshair up and alert and not being tortured (and being escorted to another part of the facility? More cloning experiments?) and she decides to escape with him somehow.

Crosshair is disheartened and incredibly sad, maybe because he found out about Tech and perhaps believes his other brothers were captured/killed. Who knows. Someone either screwed with his emotional state before this shot, or maybe he’s just drained from his captivity. But I think it’s the former.

It will show more of the inner workings of what’s going on at Mt. Tantiss, but it won’t reveal too much. I think it will mostly establish what Omega is doing there.

Ep2 - Paths Unknown

As for the boys, we will see that there’s been a passage of time. How much time, I’m not sure. But probably a few months. That’s when we hear Hunter say the famous “Omega’s been waiting for us a long time. I’m not making her wait another day.” (pretty sure that’s all one quote that’s been sliced up)

It’ll establish that Echo has left again with Rex, probably to liberate more clones and look for hints about where Omega is along the way. Hunter and Wrecker are alone. They set up base on Pabu, recruiting help from Phee who is more than willing to help. But they never stay there long, and they run themselves ragged trying to find Omega and not getting any closer. Both Hunter and Wrecker are more angry and determined than we’ve ever seen them.

Ep3 - Shadows of Tantiss

Meanwhile, Omega finally hatches her plan to escape…

Things obviously don’t go according to plan, and she doesn’t get too far before she’s stopped. Just in case, they inject her with a tracking implant…

and she gets imprisoned.

It looks like this little cage situation is the same as this one from the leaked trailer:

Omega’s hair situation is really the only thing throwing me off lol.

So she meets Crosshair again. She tries to get through to him and show him that she hasn’t lost hope. He argues and Omega gets through to him in the way only she can. She finally gets him to agree to an escape.

The episode could end with Hunter and Wrecker getting a call from Rex and Echo that they finally have info on Omega, thus leading into Ep4, A Different Approach (which would make since if you consider they have new information).

So these first 3 episodes will be jam packed with information, and maybe not a ton of action, but will be establishing episodes to move the story along.

Another thing I noticed from the leaked trailer…

Are we getting a flashback(s)? That looks like Hunter’s old armor paint job, and that backpack and helmet to the left is very distinct and only belongs to one person…

I would seriously love to see Clone Wars era Bad Batch again. Maybe flashbacks are interspersed throughout the season for extra exposition/character development/emotional damage. Maybe the first episode opens on a flashback!

Some Thoughts!

Man, I haven’t done a post like this in a while! But I figured I might as well before I work on one of my numerous WIPs XD

—So, I’ve been back on a Zula Patrol kick like you wouldn’t believe. Though that should be obvious with all the memes I’ve been making, haha! I promise this won’t become a Zula Patrol only blog, haha!

—I’ll be working on building my graphic design/editing skills so I can properly redesign my blogs ^^ You can expect a few graphics throughout the month! :)

—Chapter 4 of The Zula Patrol: Dreamscape Crusade Remastered is also coming along pretty nicely. I’ve been enjoying adding the layers of mystery and horror to the world that Multo ends up in. Oh, and a couple of new characters are making their appearance, too. And that’s all I’m going to say about the subject!

—I’ve also been steadily working on Love Language for the last couple of months. I thought FOR SURE that I’d be posting its first chapter by the end of the month, but life happened—not to mention that I keep coming up with MORE headcanons for Multo and Zeeter that I just have to write down and put in the story. XD Also, the story’s grown to the point where I had to break it up into FIVE chapters, now, with the fifth being the actual conclusion. This story’s been so fun to work on, and I hope you’ll all enjoy it when I finally publish it.

—That being said, I did have a few insecurities regarding the writing of Love Language. I wondered if anybody would actually read this story since 1. ZP isn’t a very well-known cartoon, and 2. Even for rarepair standards, Multo/Zeeter sure seems like it came out of left field. And for about a few weeks, I did leave it alone, out of worry that nobody would read it. But then I came across posts in my feed that said that it’s important to write the stories that you’d like to read, even if they don’t get any readership, because telling your story is what matters. I’ve dealt with this a lot since writing all of my stories, namely my Zula Patrol series. And while I struggle with it occasionally, I’m not going to let that whole “nobody will probably read this” mentality stop me from writing about these goofy aliens, and my favorite opposites-attract ship, of which I’m the sole captain.

—While I’ve been working on Blazin’ Trails content off and on, I’m having a deuce of a time trying to work on the final chapter of the original BT. I’ll literally sit down and open the document, looking for something to leap out at me and inspire me to work…but nothing’s working. And I really want to get things started with Blazin’ Trails Redux as well…*sigh*

—As for Super Why stuff, I’m looking forward to seeing the new shorts that are debuting next month! I got to see the first short, and it’s adorable. And I also can’t wait to see more of Power Paige in action! I just really hope that Woofster and Alpha Pig aren’t written out of the show :(

—Speaking of PBS Kids stuff…I kinda sorta got back into both WordGirl and Arthur. GOD, I feel old! And now, I’m half-tempted to have WG guest star in SRBA like Santiago will. The SRBA ‘verse? More like Into the Reader-verse, LOL XD

—Sodor Magic Crusaders MAY be getting an update in the near future. I thought about working on it for the first time in months, and I remembered that I only have a few episodes left until I can get to write the second season.

—Slowly but surely getting back into Honkai Impact 3rd. I still haven’t gotten a chance to watch the part 2 trailer, but it looks like it’s gonna be interesting!

—One thing’s for sure. Power Paige will definitely appear in the SRBA ‘verse. I just have to figure out what her backstory would be as well as her powers and what kind of fighting style she’d have. I know for sure it won’t be a sword—we already have four sword fighters in SRBA thus far (Super Why, Presto, Muse and Jackson).

—In Super Why news, I HAVE been working on the fifth chapter bit by bit, and I’d like to say that it’s about 65% finished. I don’t think it’ll be quite as long as the last update, but I don’t want to speak too soon ^^;

—I haven’t drawn anime in ages, not since I first started uploading on DeviantArt. And I admit, the pic that I’m going to post of Usagi isn’t the best..but you know what? Screw it! The only way I can improve is to practice, even if it’s wonky or incorrect! ^^

Helluva Boss (other) S2 trailer breakdown

Viziepop and the crew are back to releasing Helluva Boss content, which also now includes shorts, so to celebrate they released another trailer going over what will happen for the rest of Helluva Boss season 2.

So the trailer opens with what sounds like I.M.P. being wanted criminals, but I bet it’s taken out of context. Same with the scene of Blitzo saying they are on the run, which likely means he is just trying to get away from someone like Verosika or a ghost given what happens later on.

Points for the writers having Moxxie stand up to Blitzo by saying how much he hates him XD.

The Cherubs will be working with DHORKS! I recall that being a prediction/episode idea in a past work of mine so it’s nice to see that coming true. Looks like they will work together to open a portal to Hell where they kidnap Stolas or Blitzo but more on that later. I will say if it’s possible that at the end of the episode, their actions result in the Cherubs becoming fallen angels as stated in Hazbin Hotel.

Looks like some crazed robot runs amuck in the Lust Ring. If you pause it just right, the robot seems to have a symbol I think is inspired by something from Invader Zim. Wouldn’t be the first time as HH had a Overlord that looked by Dib’s dad.

No surprise, the "GhostF^*$ers" episode is a Ghostbusters parody, among other horror movie parodies and it seems like that hotel manager is possessed by something like demon. Blitzo is confirmed to be afraid of ghost so it would be interesting to see him deal with that fear. Also the episode could go over ghost and states between life and the afterlife, and how they work. I’m also getting a Zestial vibe from the manager from time to time.

We will indeed finally learn what Stolas does on Full Moons, which seems to involve a meeting between the royals of Hell, and not just the Goetia/bird demons. I see a snake demon (which maybe is part of the dinosaur population in Hell), a Baphomet, and what looks like a dog or cat like creature that has same ears as Queen Bee among what looks like wings! Are there other insect hybrids in Hell besides Bee? Could my bee demons headcanon still be actually canon?

However the biggest character seen there is that red bird Overlord from the Hazbin Hotel pilot! We finally know his name, which is Basago, I think it’s how its spelled because the subtitles aren’t helping. It’s cool to see that he is still around, actually wasn’t he or that 2 faced Overlord originally supposed to be Stolas before VIvzie changed it? I wonder if Basago is still an Overlord or not? This bring up some other questions, like can Hellborns (especially royals) be/also Overlords? I think so as along with Rosie being an Overlord with her also being implied to have been born in Hell, Zilla looks like she could be part of the Hellborn dinosaur race.

Basago seems concerned about Stolas, making me wonder if he could become an ally of his in the future. Could they be brothers?

Just wanted to point out Stolas reading another romance book, this one called Passion’s Brimstone. The cover has 2 Goetias looking lovingly at each other, making me think the book is about Goetias not happy in their arrange marriages and have an affair with each other, AKA what Stolas is going through. I wonder if it’ll be revealed that the book is based on an actual story, and Stolas finds comfort in another Goetia who hates the arrange marriage thing.

Andrealphus will be getting more screen time. Good because I’ve had some interesting ideas about him since his last appearance but let’s see the rest of the trailer first.

I wonder if that part about Stolas wanting someone to care about him will happen in front of the rest of I.M.P. or even a Goetia?

Blitzo is definitely going to say that rant in front of the Goetia meeting.

BLITZO’S MOM!

(sees tough character in shadow) Who is that? Could that be Satan? Does he agree that royals shouldn't date Imps, or does he think someone is just acting pathetic and dishonorable like Ozzie, Mammon, or a royal?

Blitzo and Stolas are around snow. THEY ARE GOING TO FIGHT ANDREALPHUS!

Yeah that hotel guy is definitely possessed. Given you can see aquatic features, its likely something from the Envy Ring. Looks like it can possess demons too given it is followed by

Millie fighting Blitzo.

That was Verosika cutting that dead Blitzo cake. No surprise she still has issues about him, but it looks like she and him will be able to deal with them in “Apology Tour” kind of like what happened with Blitzo and Fizz in “Oops”

Also is it just me or does Verosika’s chest look smaller then before?

Mammon is at the Goetia meeting? Does that mean Bee and the other sins will be there too? I bet Lucifer won’t be there due to more important things, aka making ducks or spending time with Charlie. Not to mention they haven’t had big HH cameos yet so I don’t see them doing it now, though prove me wrong writers. Also Mammon has a fidget spinner and finger skateboard with him. I don’t think I need to remind people that he is an idiot.

Is Fizz hooking Blitzo up with a romantic hotel room? I see the thing having a hat that looks like Stolas, yet I bet this will be for Blitzo and Verosika.

(Millie with glass in eye) OH SHIT MILLIE! PLEASE don’t let her loose that eye. I’ve said it before but there are too many similarities between Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel already, and we DON’T need any more.

Looks like Millie joins in with Blitzo on his “higher ups suck” speech.

While its likely Stolas’ comment about feeling remorse for what someone does is aimed at Stella or Andre, I feel like he is talking to Blitzo. Maybe Stolas wonders what it’s like for him to kill someone, as maybe he is debating about killing Stella and Andre before they go after him again?

Again, Blitzo and Stolas will fight Andre. Did he ice Stolas’ house? Is that the house Stella was living at during season 1? Did Andre inherit it? Again more on that later.

UGH Again Octavia is complaining about her father liking Blitzo more than he does her and Stella. We’ve seen this already; can we please get something else from her. Back when the Instagram accounts were used, I recall a Halloween pic of her and Stolas where Stolas says Octavia was always against the norm, so why not have a plot with her wanting to do something else with her life besides be royalty, like become a professor in astronomy? This also reminds me of a Tumblr post I made about how Stella could be trying to take her away from Stolas, but now I feel like she would WILLINGLY try to stay away from her father, and I think we can agree that would be sad (and boring) to see.

This is the only time we see Stella in this trailer, meaning she will likely have a small role…again. Recently I made a Tumblr post about if Helluva Boss might have been better if she was dead before the events of the series, and I want to know your thoughts about it.

Looks like Octavia will be getting a song. She is holding a tear drop, which I wonder if it’s a callback to the name of the meteor shower she didn’t get to see with her dad, or if it represents how she feels. Likely the latter.

Are the agents and cherubs going to torture Blitzo by making him look at his past mistakes? That is messed up and would definitely make the cherubs become fallen angels. At least Cletus and Keenie. It would explain that scene of Blitzo seeing his mom. At least it sounds like Blitzo will finally move on from his pain this season.

Stolas singing at a what I think looks like a “Blitzo Sucks” concert with Verosika and Tex. Obviously they want us to think he’s moved on from Blitzo, but I bet they will get together either this season, or they will at least become friends and get together in season 3, as it’s confirmed that Helluva Boss will have a total of 4 seasons.

Nice to get a timeline of when the episodes will come out, I think no one doubted the Ghost and Sinsmas episodes would come out on their fitting holidays. Fingers crossed there are no delays…and that we get shorts between the long gap between June and October.

With this I have predictions for what the episodes will be about. “Full Moon” will be Blitzo and Stolas dealing with DHORKS and Cherubs where they FINALLY get over their drama but decide to become friends/friends willing to try dating. “Apology Tour” has IMP helping Verosika, likely from some fan/rival given the robot looking thing, where they get help from Fizz and Blitzo and Verosika have their own little “Oops” plot line. “Ghostf%$%^ers" will be a Blitzo and Mille team up episode where they deal with a wandering spirit or demon, where tension will form between Blitzo and Millie which I think would be great to see as they haven’t really had conflict between them yet. “Mastermind” is a bit tricky, but I think during a meeting of Hell’s royalty/higher ups Stolas will be missing because he has to deal with something involving Blitzo or Octavia, or both and its likely Andre’s fault. That’s bad as they need for something, so it’s a race against time. I feel like this will be the beginning of a storyline where people will start to look into Stolas to see if he committed any crimes. Maybe it will be about Mammon using that robot I mentioned earlier to try and get Fizz back, and IMP is hired to protect him? “Sinsmas” will be the episode where Blitzo and Stolas fight Andre, who is likely there with Stella visiting Octavia during the holiday. They get into a fight, but I feel like this will make Octavia mad at her dad and decides to live with her mom from now on. This could lead to a finale cliffhanger where in a reverse from season 1, Stolas wants time away from Blitzo, hopefully not as we don't need to go through that again.

That was an entertaining trailer. Love that they seem to be going back to storylines like Blitzo dealing with his past (especially those involving romance) by interacting with his former love interest face to face like Verosika and especially Stolas. I really like that we will get to learn more about things like what Stolas does on Full Moons (if anything) and that meeting of Hell’s royalty.

What I really loved is that Andre will be getting more screen time, as recently I’ve had a new idea for what could happen if he was made the main antagonist of Helluva Boss. In the past I said he would go after Stolas’ family and while I still think that will happen, he will eventually realize Stolas’ position is small when compared to becoming a Sin. That’s right I think it would be crazy awesome if Andre tries to overthrow Asmodeus! I could see other royals not liking the idea of a Sin dating an Imp, so I bet they would want to get rid of him for that and I can see Andre taking that chance to get more power.

Rambling about Legend of Vox Machina casting credits

So like everyone else, I've heard about IMDB putting up cast credits for the first half of The Legend of Vox Machina's second season.  There's been the delightful news, of course, such as Matt voicing Victor, and Robbie and Aimee getting to do voicework for the show.  But looking at the actual episode credits for everyone, there's some interesting news as well.  This will contain spoilers:

Arranging this more or less by actor, just to make things easier for myself as I scroll down IMDB's page:

Matt: Voicing Umbrasyl in at least episodes 1, 5, and 6, Craven Edge in episodes 2,3, 5 & 6, an adaro in episode 3, Victor in episode 2, and Purvan Suul in episode 4.  We'd expect to see Umbrasyl in the first episode, obviously, and 6 makes sense, too, since we've got credits for Kevdak and Zanror in that episode as well.  But I wonder what he's doing in episode 5, exactly.  Meanwhile, it seems Grog holds onto that sword at least until about the time it turned on him on stream, though that could still happen any time before his fight with Kevdak (where, in the trailer, we saw him using his axe instead).  Also, it seems Vox Machina will be fighting as aquatic monstrosity in place of the beholder, which kind of makes sense.  Victor's appearing in the most obvious episode for him too. The really interesting voice credit is Purvan Suul, and for the episode right after the Sunken Tomb.  While I am very much hoping for Age of Arcanum flashbacks, that would be a little late for them.  I wonder if Vax is going to hear from him while communing with the Raven Queen.

Liam: Voicing Vorugal in episode 1 only, at least in the season's first half.  So again, why is Umbrasyl in episode 5 when Vorugal isn't?

Esme Creed-Miles & Gina Torres: Voicing Cassandra and Keeper Yennen in episode 1 only.  We're probably not going see much of Whitestone during the season's first half.

Indira Varma & Stephanie Beztriz: Voicing Allura and Kima in episode 5, with Allura also in episode one.  1's obvious enough; it's a little odder Kima's not in that episode, since the series puts her in Emon already, but perhaps that was just how the editing went.  5's a little more interesting.  The assumption is it'll involve closing the rift in Pyrah, but I wonder if we'll get a flashback to them imprisoning Thordak.  Or if they'll even come to Pyrah to help seal it, but that raises the question of why neither of them appear in the between episodes.

Kelly Hu: Voicing Anna Ripley in episode 5.  Which is really interesting, especially since Matt's credits for that episode are only for Umbrasyl, Trinket, and Craven Edge.  So if she's not buying gunpowder from Victor, and she's *probably* not showing up to kill Percy just yet, what is she doing??

Sunil Mahotra and Eugene Byrd: Voicing Gilmore and Jarrett only in episode 1, at least in the season's first half.  Which makes me sad, and worried for Jarrett's survival especially.  I don't *think* they'd kill Gilmore...

Will & Mary: Voices Kash and Zahra in episodes 2-4.  Which makes sense, mostly.  Hopefully we see them heading for Whitestone in episode 4, since they apparently don't go to Pyrah.

Fred Tatasciore, Janet Varney, & Kestrel Riegal: Voicing Korrin, Vilya, and young Keyleth in episode 5.  Obviously we're getting a flashback to Keyleth's young years in this episode.  It also leaves uncertain whether or not Korrin will show in Pyrah, since he could just be in said flashback.  Keyleth's aramente trial's obviously going to become sealing the rift, so perhaps she'll have to do that without her father's help.

Lance Reddick & Cree Summer: Voicing Thordak and Raishan in episodes 1 & 3.  But not, apparently, in episode 5, so if there is a flashback of Thordak being imprisoned, perhaps he simply doesn't say anything in it?  Raishan would also have to free him silently, but perhaps that part will simply be implied.  Episode 3's also a little bit of an odd time for them to be appearing instead, though perhaps the series just wants to keep track of the two most important dragons even when they're away from our heroes.

Alanna Ubach & Tony Plana: Voicing the sphinxes in episode 6, with Ossysa also in episode 2.  The main question is why Ossya's in episode 6, but it might just be Vox Machina remembering her words.

Troy Baker: Voicing Syldor in episode 3.  Which is does not make sense for Syldor to make a personal appearance in, so I'm pretty sure we're getting either a flashback or one of the twins hearing his voice in their head.  Cue the angst!

Ralph Ineson & Abubaker Salim: Voicing Kevdak and Zanror in episode 6.  Which Umbrasyl is also in, so obviously, we're getting at least one scene of Westrun, probably as setup for the following episodes.  No credit for any inhabitants to Westrun though, so we might even just see them forming their alliance.

Ike Amadi, Robbie, Aimee, and Sumalee's appearances in their specific episodes are all pretty self-explanatory.  

Not appearing in the first half of the season: Dr. Dranzel and Kaylee!  We know they're in it, but apparently not in Vasselheim?  Perhaps in Westrun? No credits for Henry Winkler either, but it makes sense he'd only appear once Vox Machina actually reaches the city.

Cravity’s League of the Universe Theory Update 2

Liberty: In Our Cosmos, New Wave & Hidden Dungeon

Hello! My name is Ori and I’m back with another update for the Cravity theory (part 1 and part 2). This one is going to be pretty short as not a great deal has happened since the last update. The exciting news is we have an official power list that we can focus on now. However, as I mentioned in another post, I won’t be doing these theories as “pretty” as I did before because the research, writing, editing, and compiling of all the pictures took way too much time and effort, which was preventing me from finishing any theories at all ‘cause I was often too tired to work on them. I’ll still include pictures if I consider them super necessary, but otherwise it’ll be mostly text.

Let’s start with the theory!

Liberty: In Our Cosmos Concept Film

As we’ve discussed before, the official MVs for the title tracks don’t count in the theories. Back in our first update for the theory I talked about how The Awakening could be referencing Allen waking up at the end of the Hidden Film, and a turning point in the story line, but nothing quite came out of that.

The Concept trailer for L:IOC offers up new narration, which we hadn’t seen in a bit. We hear Allen’s voice telling us about how they found liberty in the new world they created, while showing us different miscellaneous scenes that seem to have no weight to the story (though I do think that some of them might have references to other characters in a way? Like Serim with the photography, which is associated with Hyeongjun). Allen also mentions how that place represents the freedom they had been looking for, and that it’s a place where they can be together (and with us) forever.

The fact that it is Allen narrating this (beyond the fact that he is the English speaker of the group) fits really well with his character, considering he writes the word “freedom” in his questionnaire for career counseling. It also fits considering his visions seem to guide him to happiness.

New Wave Concept Film + Instagram Posts

I think I can speak for most of us when I say that the concept trailer for New Wave was not how we were expecting to return to the whole story, but it’s what we got. Before we discuss the video, however, we must talk about the Instagram Posts in The Hidden Universe account, as they happen before the video itself.

First, Wonjin says he left a message for the members in the Seoul Tower, and mentions it was the place where they first met. In the next post, Minhee is the one to find the message. We get a very difficult to read picture of it, which I attempted to translate on twitter and now I’ll copy that “translation” in here so you can have it too. It seems to read:

“Hi! I came because I missed you. (Illegible) Don’t we have a story here? Are you just mistaken? (Might be the wrong verb…) Anyways (?) if you hear my voice, come here! I can’t wait to see who will come first tomorrow. See you soon. -Wonjin-”

After that, in the third post, Minhee meets with Serim and tells him that Wonjin called them. He then shows Serim what he (Minhee) saw, presumably through Serim’s power, which we’ve said before allows him to see the memories of other people.

The next post kind of breaks the narrative a little, as we see Allen waking up and saying he had a dream and that they must go. It is unclear, but this could be a continuation from the Epilogue Film of Hideout Season 3, in which Minhee is calling to Allen and telling him to wake up. It’s not a perfect match, though, but it’s as close as we get.

The following three posts overlap with the New Wave Concept FIlm. They meet with Allen at the house-not-house that has the bus stop inside, take the bus into the wormhole thing, and travel into a new world, where Allen welcomes us (in the Instagram post). It is very likely the same world mentioned in the L:IOC Concept Film.

The Elephant in the Room: Is there another version of Cravity?

I mean… the video points to yes, my heart begs no. An alternate dimension is one thing, and while I’m a bit tired of dimensional/time-space travel in k-pop, I prefer it way more to an alternate version of Cravity, because that’s opening a whole new can of worms and I’m not sure how to even approach that theory! Plus technically the new dimension has been hinted at since the beginning of their concept so… Who knows though.

Hidden Dungeon: Official Power List

Hidden Dungeon: Cicada 3301 was a Universe exclusive program consisting of 10 episodes of pure madness and nonsense. In it, the members are part of Hidden School, a school that teaches people how to use their powers and then puts them through a very difficult exam to see if they can graduate. It’s loosely based off of Cicada 3301, a supposed secret organization that posted three challenges between 2012 and 2014 to recruit people for… something. 

Now, obviously, I don’t think any of this is cannon except for the power list, and that’s simply because all the powers match what we’ve seen in the official Cravity videos, save for Seongmin, whose power I got wrong, and Hyeongjun, whom I just simply had no idea what his power was. I also don’t have the full context of what happened in that program because I had to watch it without subtitles, so I might be missing some details.

This is the official list from the show compared to what I wrote in the previous post of the theory

Serim: Memory sharer / People-focused psychometry - Basically the same thing, he sees the memories of others.

Allen: Precognition / Precognition through dreams- Same thing

Jungmo: Animal Communication / Animal Telepathy - Also same thing

Woobin: Healer / Accelerated Healing - Still pretty much the same thing, though the limits of his powers remain unexplored

Wonjin: Telepathy / Telepathy - lol

Minhee: Psychometry / Future-focused psychometry - The show only calls it psychometry, which eliminates the limitation of him only seeing the future. The limits of this power are now unclear but I’ll refer to it as only psychometry from now on.

Hyeongjun: Power Replication / Not identified - Finally we have confirmation to what he can do! Apparently he can replicate the powers of others. We don’t know the limits of his powers since we’ve only seen him replicate Taeyong’s (or at least not being affected by his power) but I hope we can figure out more in the future.

Taeyoung: Time Stopper / Time Stopping - wheeze yeah

Seongmin: Tool Master / Enhanced accuracy and precision - I thought it was that because the only instance of his power we see is him throwing the darts, but apparently he only nailed all of them because he can use every tool to its full potential when in his hands. But now the epilogue of S3 makes more sense with him repairing the radio thingy.

Conclusions

The new world they step into in New Wave has been hinted at since the beginning, I mean, it’s called “The Hidden Universe”, so maybe it shouldn’t have been as unexpected as it was.

It appears to me that there are other instances of powers aside from the boys, since that portal had to come from somewhere (it might even be the source of their stones). This also opens the possibility of more people having powers aside from them.

It is unclear where we are going from here on out, but things are definitely getting interesting. I’ve yet to translate the character profiles from the special photobook they released, because the Korean is too advanced for me. If any Korean-speaking luvities would like to help me translate them to add to the theory, then please hit me up!

Shadow and Bone Season 2 Sneak Peek

I just saw the sneak peek for season 2 of shadow and bone. I’ve been waiting for it for so long but now that its here if I am being really honest I was kind of meh about it. I don’t know if it was because it was only a very short teaser (the video is 55 secs but only about 30 of that is actually footage of season 2) or what but there wasn’t really anything that made me hyped to see the next season. I am hoping that when the full trailer comes out it’ll make me more excited to see the show but this teaser fell flat for me. That being said I don’t want to be too negative so I am going to talk about some positive things I saw in the trailer. 

Nikolai and the Twins look so good and am looking forward to seeing them in action looks like we get a shot of them on the boat:

The crows also look like they are getting up to their old tricks, I am hoping they are going to rescue Matthias. Also we do get a shot of shirtless Matthias and how can you complain about that:

But the moments that got me at least a little excited were these shots which I am positive are darklina tether bond moments:

What with my habit of analysing every little detail I did spot some things that I thought were interesting. First is their location, its hard to make out (I have brightened the pic to make it easier to see) but just behind alina you can see a post which to me looks like it could be one of the posts from the war room:

The other possibility could be the bed posts in Aleks’ room but they are straight up and down and it seems like the one behind Alina curves in a similar war to the ones in the war room. 

Aleks’ location is also one we’ve seen before its from the tent where Aleks put the amplifier on Alina. You can see that the drapes hanging down, the lantern and the candles all match:

There is also another shot at the end of the trailer where Alina appears to be in the Shadow Fold:

I actually think this is also from the tether bond. I think the way they are going to present this bond is going to be a bit like a dream scape that takes them to places that are familiar to them both and that have some significance to their relationship. They had many moments in the war room including intimate moments, obviously the tent scene where he puts the amplifier on her is where their relationship broke down and then the fold has always been significant to both characters. These could be three separate occasions where they meet through the tether or it could be that their environment changes as their discussion does, for example in the first gif of Alina being in the war room this could be when they first come to the tether, its a place that represents a time when they had a good relationship and trusted each other, a place where they had both tender and passionate moments. I could then see the scene shifting into the amplifier tent when Alina points out that he betrayed her by putting the amplifier on her and trying to steal her power. In the clip Aleks says ‘Are you willing to sacrifice that which is most precious to you’. I think here he is warning her that if she wants to be this war time leader then she must prepare herself as she could lose those that she cares about the most like he did with Luda and others over the years. I could also then see the argument moving to the subject of the fold and that’s when their environment will shift again so that they are standing in the fold. So basically the environment around them will shift in accordance with their moods and the memories they are thinking about eg Alina thinks about him collaring her so they are in the tent where that happened. 

Another small detail I noticed and this could definitely be me looking too much into it but when Aleks approaches, who I am going to assume is Alina in the tether bond, the threads on his kefta change from their regular black to a more golden colour (gold being Alina’s colour) as they reflect the candle light:

Its less noticeable because the scene cuts to the next clip pretty quickly but the same kind of thing happens with Alina but as she approaches the shadow on her shoulder grows blacking out the gold threads on her kefta, it is also on the opposite shoulder which gives this mirroring like effect:

I suspect in that scene as she continues to get closer that shadow will grow even more. I think this is supposed to show how they are the mirror of each other and that there is a little part of each of them in the other. 

Anyway that’s all I’ve got to say about the trailer, like I said I wasn’t really all that overwhelmed by it but hopefully I’ll find the full trailer when it releases more exciting. How about you guys, how is everyone feeling about the trailer?

it looks like the next episode will have some backstory for M’Benga and Chapel 👀 

and it might mean it could be lighter on Spock, and more Pike, M’Benga, Chapel, Ortegas, guest star focused

and then if the musical is more or less an ensemble (with some Kirk/La’an focus - which might literally just be one scene, like Chapel’s song, who even knows) and the finale is the Gorn (even though Spock does get scenes with Chapel) I might actually applaud them for lessening Spock’s screen time in s2. (I can’t wait for the season to finish so I can rewatch it again in order.)

I feel like gifs (and probably the discourse I keep hearing about regarding Spock and Chapel) from the episodes might make it seem like Spock is there all the time, but the season has been lighter on Spock imho

It’s not that I don’t want to see Spock, I just want to see other characters. Especially characters that don’t have 80 episodes already lol 

And M’Benga this season was very !!! I wasn’t that sure about him last season, but this season made me a huge fan. Yes, I know I talk about Kirk all the time, but I do like other characters.

Now the initial shock of seeing only one of the new wave of main couples in a show from these upcoming projects, I decided to go back and rewatch the GMMTV trailers. And to be honest, now I’m not sat here going ‘Who are you? And who the frick are you? Wait, you, I know, hurrah.’ I did come out thinking there were a number of shows I’ll likely give a chance, or at least check out the first episode.

Ploy’s Yearbook - looks cute and yay girls, but not for me I feel. Next!

We Are - mixed feelings for this one, but I’ll give it a chance. I’ve not really gotten into anything that’s a simple fluffy uni romance in what seems like forever, which is what this is giving, so it’s going to have to charm the pants off me, have something about it & excellent characters/chemistry to keep me invested beyond 3 episodes. Happy to see PondPhuwin again, as well as MarcPawin. Not been super interested in the other two couples as of yet, but that’s mainly down to the few things I’ve seen them in, or shows I’ve skipped so maybe missed out on chances to get attached to them. 4 couples though, that’s a lot of cast to juggle but not impossible, and I guess it depends which are maybe main vs side couples and how complex their stories/relationships are. Fingers crossed their stories can be woven together well.

The Trainee - I’ll give it 1 episode to win me over. OffGun is an odd one for me. Theory of Love really didn’t endear them to me as a couple. I wasn’t keen on Off’s character and to me the story just felt so drawn out. I was so put off that I couldn’t bring myself to watch the absolute masterpiece that is Not Me until much later, after realising First was in it. Not Me was a serious drama and OffGun were amazing. I’m waiting to see how they fair in something more recent that is on the lighter side so am planning to check out Cooking Crush when it finally gets here. If CC wins me over then I might go into The Trainee more excited. Though I’ve been enjoying the more serious shows recently, I still enjoy lighter stuff so if it’s fun and can hook me with something, then I’ll maybe tune in past the first episode.

Only Boo - I’m glad I watched these trailers again as my first impression of this one was very much a nope. But I dunno, on a second watch it did seem far more charming than I’d given it credit for. I’m definitely going to watch the first episode, because I feel like maybe it’ll pull a My School President on me where I wasn’t going to bother watching but then I did and it was one of the cutest and most fun things I’d ever watched and fell in love with the characters. So, though I still feel that it might not be my thing, if it brings the fun and charm in the first episode, then I’ll keep tuning in.

Pluto - definitely will be checking this one out. I’ve been waiting on 23.5 for forever (give it to me already) so I’m glad that a second GL is in the works. The plot looks pretty interesting so unless they somehow manage to mess everything up and make it terrible, I plan to be watching every week.

On Sale/Peaceful Property - haven’t looked up what the actual title is lol. Is this just bromancy? Again haven’t gone looking for an answer but it looks fun and ridiculous and TayNew are here (this gives me OTT New like he was in Warp Effect and I’m living for it) and Janhae who is my queen 😍. So yeah, I think this one could be really fun and spooky so shall be checking this one out for sure.

Ossan’s Love - yay, a new EarthMix show. Really excited as enjoyed the original office-based season. (I mean the airport setting was cool and all but I missed my Maki in season 2🙁) Anyway, this could be pretty fun and EarthMix are my first loves. Guess we’ll have to wait and see how long it takes to get the project going, but it’s definitely one I’ll be watching when it comes out.

My Golden Blood - *narrows eyes* okay being a huge Buffy/Angel and Vampire Diaries fan back in the day I’m cautiously interested as do enjoy vampire stuff. Now having seen the trailer, this could be great or it could be kinda cringe. I guess it depends how the show is presented as I do love some campy horror fun but I imagine this is more on the serious side so we’ll have to see how they balance things and how much flying and vampire hissing they do at each other come the proper thing. Joss and Gawin was not a pairing I was expecting but I could see it working. Also, with the special blood mention, kinda got me thinking about Kissable Lips. Anyway, shall be giving it an episode to win me over.

Kidnap - again, not gone looking but is this a BL or is it bromance/gonna look after you cos you’re like my little bro type thing? Either way, it looks kinda cool and shall be giving it a shot as love the bromance buddy action movie aesthetic. So the more competent protector and his hapless partner lol.

Summer Night - I know I’m not alone in thinking we had a DunkPhuwin series for a whole 5 seconds lol. Not my kind of show so… next!

Wandee Goodday - this one I’m definitely interested in checking out. Seems a solid, on the mature side drama so hopefully it’ll turn out great. Nothing much to add, just looking forward to this one.

High School Frenemy - never been a fan of this kind of enemy schools/classes in anime and manga so not planning on watching this at all. Enjoy if it’s your kind of thing.

My Love Mix-up - I love the Japanese adaption, but like for Cherry Magic I have no knowledge of the manga or how close the live action versions were to the source material. As tv shows/stories I really like them, so will be interesting to see what differences there might be with these new versions. I think Gemini and Fourth were a great pick for this. Definitely watching this one.

Enigma 2 - didn’t watch Enigma 1 so until/if I ever get to that, this one will have to wait.

And there we have it. A few that interest me so definitely want to give a watch, and most of the others I’m willing to give a chance. Looking forward to hopefully seeing more of the ‘merchandise’ couples in the 2nd part.

“And you cheated your way into Beacon!” Love that line, gotta be one of my favorite lines now. Not because of its direct context, though.

We learn a few things about this line:

1: The rest of team JNPR were told about Jaune cheating to get into Beacon (They were chill with it tho,, means he’s just as chaotic as the rest of his team)

2: While Yang seemed surprised at Rens outburst, she wasn’t at the information, meaning team RWBY was also told at some point (They r bestie teams that is all)

3: The hidden context behind this,, Ren doesn’t think Jaune is terrible or anything obviously,, but something tells me JNR never sat down and even TALKED about Pyrrhas death. They never dealt with it, and just pushed past it. All Three of them pause for a moment, Jaune doesn’t even argue back, BECAUSE GUESS WHO THE FIRST PERSON WAS THAT KNEW HE CHEATED HIS WAY INTO BEACON?

If he would have said anything else on the subject they would’ve just shut down.

I’ve been THINKING of this for MONTHS, actually. They’re SCARED, Ren has so far gone along with everything just FINE but he’s literally the “We need an adult” meme at that point.

They should be in CLASS, not saving the literal world from an immortal Grimm witch!!!

That moment in season 3 when Garmadon and Lloyd come across a nest with some kinda bird baby inside and Lloyd picks it up and Garmadon said “It’s going to know someone has touched its young”

And the when Lloyd asks who IT is, he says “Daddy” and yes people in the comments were laughing bc of how he said it, but WHO other than Garmadon would know that feeling more than anyone else in the show? When he was trying to turn Ninjago into his own image, and when the serpentine suggested getting rid of Lloyd he snapped at them and threw them off the ship/locked them up. The only reason the venom didn’t take him over entirely was because the love for his son was THAT strong. It took Ninjgos first and greatest evil to truly corrupt him.

In the intro of TLOVM, there’s this snowy place they’re apparently going to in the future, and I am super excited to see whatever it is because the lighting and just how the background looks for it?? BEAUTIFUL?? It’ll probably be a ways off, with them being arrested and all.

SPEAKING OF WHICH, Is the King still under control? How are they gonna Roll themselves outta this mess? (See what I did there?)

Also I love that when the guards get there, after already shooting the driver, Percy just stands there getting surrounded by guards, and honestly its a cool shot but he is gonna have some EXPLAINING to do to EVERYONE. Considering the others look mighty surprised by what’s happening, he hasn’t done THIS before. Also did I mention I really like his plague Doctor mask? Super cool.

So like I know Angel is the bad boy, fuck boy and everything else but them making him sleep with Letty? I feel like he really never would’ve done that. That’s so fucked and messy and her ass better not be pregnant! He shouldn’t have been the one to go anyways

Gilly was really the only one visibly upset about Coco and I don’t appreciate that at all

I hope something actually happens with EZ and that girl. Especially since Emily is on his line again. Can she just go to jail or something?

I'm cancelling majority of Season 4 of Miraculous. INSTEAD...

Oh my gods, I just saw the trailer for 'Hack-san' and I AM SO ANNOYED RIGHT NOW!!!

As far as I am concerned right now, I will accept SOME parts of this season.

Telling Alya? Questionable but okay

Luka getting to know? This will help them in the future cuz Luka is awesome.

Chat getting sidelined? Heartbreaking but okay fine, I'll take it.

ALYA BECOMING LADYBUG? BITCH NO.

This show is about Ladybug and Cat Noir- Marinette and Adrien.

For me, Season 4 right now is gonna be Chat being heartbroken cuz wtf man, his lady is being distant as fuck. Being Chat Noir always gave him a sense of freedom, but now he feels more and more like Adrien as Chat as well, trapped and useless to everyone around him.

So my dude goes and tells Ladybug that he can't do this. It's too much and she has Rena Rouge, Carapace and the others to help her. He is not important anymore, so it'll be fine if he gives his miraculous back to her.

Ladybug is shocked. She never wanted this. The main reason she was staying away from Chat is because of all the mental damage she suffered from Chat Blanc, because them being close, them being in love, basically destroyed the world.

So she sits there and she listens to her best friend (cuz Chat is her best friend, not Alya, fight me Thomas Astruc) say that he is gonna leave her, and she just kinda freezes.

Chat being Chat, sees this and goes to her being like, "Milady are you okay "

and before he finishes, he sees that she is basically having a panic attack and she's not breathing (duh. The number of expectations this kid, YES KID SHE'S LIKE 14, has is heartbreaking and she's been bordering on Anxiety and Depression for too long) and has tears streaming down her face and Chat immediately goes and hugs her and helps her through it (Imma stick to the 5-4-3-2-1 technique cuz its been effective for me).

After that happens they finally show some vulnerability to each other, and Ladybug finally tells him about Chat Blanc and how she's basically traumatised because of it.

Chat is heartbroken.

He never thought that him loving Ladybug could have such drastic consequences, and so he asks her if she wants him away. She could choose another Chat Noir, but this time so the fate of the flipping world doesn't hang in the balance, and after like a few more hours of opening up to each other, they decide that Ladybug and Chat Noir will always be Ladybug and Chat Noir. Best friends, partners and each other's solace.

Nothing else. At least until Hawkmoth is defeated.

And so they both go home, and Marinette is finally at peace cuz her partner is her partner again and she doesn't have to do all the unnecessary crap of having new superheroes in every new episode.

Adrien on the other hand is defeated as fuck. My man is so sad and he doesn't know what to do. He can't talk to Nino about this, he can't talk to Alya about this (they're just not that close, honestly) and he doesn't know what to do.

So, he bribes Plagg with a wheel of Camembert and transforms before going to the one person he trusts as much as he trusts Ladybug (3 guesses who lol)

Marinette is a little surprised to see her partner less than half an hour after having a huge talk with him. Of course, Chat doesn't know that and he just wants a friendly face who he knows will listen to him without an ounce of judgement.

And so Mari invites him in for passionfruit croissants she definitely made for Adrien that morning and makes them both comfortable in her room.

And then Chat talks.

He talks about how alienated he felt, he talks about how scared he is and he doesn't stop talking to Marinette until they're both just wrapped around each other, asleep, leeching off of each other's warmth cuz getting up to take the blanket was just too much work.

In the middle of the night, Plagg detransforms and goes to the other Kwamis to look at these two dumbass kids, who have way too much weight on their shoulders.

As the sun rises, Plagg (after being told by Tikki to 'be subtle for fucks sake, Plagg') gently wakes Adrien up, and Adrien leaves a note for Marinette, thanking her for listening to him, and leaves again.

And then, they go about their days as usual. Go to school, fight Akumas side by side, with a little extra help from Rena Rouge and any other hero, but people in Paris can see that it's The Ladybug and Chat Noir team once more.

And at night if the two heroes spend a little extra time together, as Chat Noir and Marinette, then nobody knows about it.

ON THE OTHER HAND, Alya is getting a little annoyed (just like we did with her lol) and straight-up asks Marinette what was the point of telling her all this if she was just gonna use her as a sidekick and Marinette (who has a lot more confidence considering during day time Adrien boosts her ego, and at night Chat does it) just goes "cuz you are a sidekick...? Your job, along with every other hero I give the miraculous to is to help Chat and me." (is this a little OOC for Mari? I don't care lmao)

Alya bristles and goes on to make a series of bad decisions to prove that she is vital to the tram, but she only adds a lot of drama smh.

OKAY BACK TO CHAT AND MARI. Gods they are SO in love. These two fools really do friends to lovers properly and cutely. Mari unknowingly gets over her crush on Adrien, and develops one on Chat instead, never realising that she fell in love with the same idiot.

And Adrien? Gods, he doesn't know how he never SAW Mari. Funny Mari who always beats him in Videogames and always gives him the best food (cuz gabby is a dick and doesn't feed his son enough) and gives the best hugs and always comes to every single tournament of his to cheer him on and laughs at all his puns and talks to him every night until they fall asleep together, either in each other's arms or over the phone. (If you think Adrien didn't get another phone just so he could talk to Mari as Chat at night and to send her memes during his photoshoot, then you're lying to yourself, bestie.)

And so one night, they kiss.

And everything seems so, so right.

And then they both get an akuma alert so Chat has to go asap, and Mari quickly transforms to meet him. They get there, and Rena Rouge is there, but with different colours and Ladybug and Chat Noir are confused cuz you know.

This is their friend. Their ally.

And then Rena turns around and says,

"Hello, Marinette."

End of Season.

season 5 trailer screenshots: my thoughts

first and foremost i feel like brida’s revenge is going to be one of, if not, the central focus of season 5. then we, obviously, will have uhtred going to reclaim bebbanburg, and then edward trying to reunite all the kingdoms.

just from the trailer it looks like this season will start with a bang and end with a bang. so, in saying that. some scenes in the trailer stood out to me and some really made me nervous, so i really want to talk about a few of them, starting with:

1. brida and sigtryggr(?)

i was wondering throughout the whole trailer where sigtryggr was, and this very well could be him. obviously, where brida and sigtryggr left off in season 4 was an icy place (more so for brida) and since she is in full revenge mode, i highly believe she will also go after sigtryggr for “abandoning” her, or her wishes to kill uhtred at the end of season 4.

my biggest concern for sigtryggr is that he will die by the hands of brida very early on in the season. which i hope does not happen because not only does he not deserve to be killed be brida. i, selfishly, need a lot more sigtryggr content then, possibly, just 1-4 episodes. i really thought sigtryggr would have a bigger role in season 5, but i am concerned from the trailer and some comments that i’ve read, that he won’t play much of a role like i thought. and instead, what we do see of him will have to do with brida’s vengeance.

i hope i am wrong, because it would be a real shame to waste sigtryggr’s character after they beautifully introduced him in season 4, just to further brida’s hate and vengeance. but, considering this is the final season, i feel like a lot of the characters won’t be in the movie. and considering, sigtryggr’s role i wouldn’t be all that surprised if he is one of the many characters that end up dead.

2. stiorra

in the trailer, we hear stiorra say “you will pay for this!”. and then she tells uhtred “what your destiny has brought me is pain and grief”. now, it’s plausible those two lines relate to sigttryggr and his death. but they could also refer in a general sense.

“you will pay for this!”, sounds like it’s aimed at brida. and there’s a lot of reasons why stiorra could be saying it. firstly, it has to do with sigtryggr’s death. secondly, she is referring to all that brida has done - i.e, coming after stiorra’s family (uhtred and young uhtred) or starting a war with the danes, etc. which i know lines up with sigtryggr, maybe, dying.

“what your destiny has brought me is pain and grief”. again, this could be a general, broader meaning. it could have to do with sigtryggr. or i choose to have naive hope that this isn’t about sigtryggr and it’s about the chaos in general.

i know, at some point, sigtryggr may die. and what stiorra has said in the trailer doesn’t exactly calm those nerves. but, like i said above, i choose to remain naively hopeful that we at least get to some more than a few episodes of stiorra and sigtryggr, as well as sigtryggr overall.

also, one last point. if/when sigtryggr does die it seems like stiorra - based on her clothing and style - might lead his danes. she looks so dane-like with her hair, makeup and clothing that it’ll be interesting to see her become more of a power figure among the danes. if she is married to sigryggr (or even if she isn’t) i’ll be intrigued to see how she rules and how she’s grown as a dane. i’m guessing we might get a time jump in season 5 as well?

3. sigtryggr or sigtryggr’s brother - rognvaldr

this could be either sigtryggr or rognvaldr, but i’m leaning more towards rognvaldr. i’m not sure why, but i’m basing my assumption on the hair as it doesn’t look exactly like sigtryggr’s style from the promo photo that was posted. i mean, it could also be a random person too. either way, if it’s sigtryggr or his brother, or someone completely unrelated to the main cast, whatever is going on seems to be pretty painful - a punishments of sorts. and i have a strong feeling brida is involved.

4. sihtric?

this looks kinda like sihtric, which has me worried. they haven’t really zeroed in a lot on sihtric these past few seasons and if this photo is him, that could only mean one thing - death. not sihtric’s death, but i am worried that it may be related to his family or a close friend, and if it’s a close friend that really only leaves finan or osferth (’cause we all know uhtred ain’t dying this season).

5. where’s osferth?

i think i only saw osferth once or twice throughout the whole trailer, and that was only in background shots, which has me quite worried. i know that a lot of characters may not make it out alive this season, and apart of me thinks osferth may be one of them...we know from alex’s bts post that uhtred and sihtric are in the ‘seven kings must die’ movie. and we don’t yet know about finan or osferth. but if the writers wanted to go down the path of killing any of the core 5, my money is on osferth (not sure why though).

the photo above is from them sneaking into bebbanburg, but where’s osferth?. he could be back on the ship or could be somewhere else entirely helping out, let’s say, father pyrlig or eadith, he could even be recovering from an injury. but i would think something as important as re-taking back bebbanburg, osferth would want to be there to help.

6. finan

the only reason for this was to highlight how good finan looked in the trailer, ahaha. i’m loving the new haircut, he looks so much fresher and cleaner with short hair and beard. perhaps, married life suits him?, ahaha (fingers crossed).

7. brida

and lastly, brida. it’s inevitable that brida is going to cause lasting damage this season. and i have a huge feeling she will be apart of many deaths that may happen. while i understand her feeling betrayed, i don’t think this season will convince me her vengeance is justified. and if she kills sigtryggr, i’m not going to lie, i will dislike her character very much.

the thing is, judging from what we’ve seen in the trailer, brida knows her path for vengeance only ends two ways - kill uhtred or be killed by uhtred. i don’t expect brida to make it out alive this season, and if she does, i will be very surprised. i think there are so many times uhtred can spare her. and after all the chaos, death and pain she is surely going to cause, i have a feeling it will motivate uhtred to finally give brida’s wish and send her to valhalla to be with ragnar.

overall, i am going to go into season 5 with low hopes on who is going to make it out alive, and what i expect to see happen. i have seen a lot of people say they have diverted from the books quite a bit, so those may not be a concrete idea of what may happen this season. but, despite my nerves and worry for several characters i love. i do think this season will be epic. there is not one part of me that thinks we wont get epic fight scenes, epic bromance scenes, epic cookham squad moments, etc.

however, my only concern is that very quickly brida will become quite unlikable (if she isn’t already for some people) that it ruins the tone of the season. i have my fingers crossed the pacing is set out well, we see characters develop (for however long they are on screen) and the season focus’ on the amazing friendships of the cookham squad, and we finally get to see uhtred re-take back his home land of bebbanburg.

Episode 2 of season 4 is confirmed to be "Lie" and a Kagami episode. I'm not entirely up-to-date with the spoilers but I think it's most likely this episode

I guess the show will take the route that ep. 1 "Truth" will be about the Lukanette break up and in ep. 2 "Lie" so will Adrigami. I won't lay judgment upon this decision yet, I want to see the episodes first. The parallel in the titles is interesting tho and maybe that's how we can identify what Kagamis powers will be!

Going by the parallel, if Luka as "Truth" wants to find out secrets and bring them to light Kagami might be the complete opposite. Maybe she can sense the desire of people, the life they wish they had and what(or who) they wish they had in their lives and use it as bait to lure them in so she can get them.

The reason that lead me to this idea is the one thing everybody screamed about when they saw the trailer, Adriens "sacrifice". Because I'm gonna be honest here, the more I look at it, the less it looks like a sacrifice to me. I know everybody seems to agree on this but what we have seen just doesn't add up to me.

I mean, Ladybug is the one these two who is perfectly SAVE and out of harms way when this happens and Kagamis attack seems to be directly after Chat Noir. HE is the one trying to escape the attack not Ladybug.

Not gonna lie, I'm kinda lost on how the white energy ball works. Ladybug seems to be on a lower level than chat but she isn't in danger of getting swallowed by the energy? The attack really just seems to be after HIM

So how could he sacrifice himself for her when she is not even in any danger?

This is why I think there might be a very different reason for why Chat let's himself fall into the white nothingness (totally not a visual callback to Chat Blanc noooooooo) and with a SMILE on his face non the less!

Every episode has a topic and I think here it'll be "the life we have vs the life we WISHED we had" and we will see how it'll affect at least Ladybug, Chat Noir and Kagami.

Concidering that this is probably going to be the Adrigami break up episode its fair to assume that it could happen because either Tomoe and/or Gabriel do not approve of the relationship between their children (we already saw Gabriel sabotage Adriens relationship in Chat Blanc) and Kagami gets akumatized because of it (also parallel to Chat Blanc where Adrien was able to save Marinette from the akuma). She then "freezes" her mother as we saw in the leak.

There are so many possibilities with Kagami in this scenario when you look at it from an "the life we have vs the life we WISHED we had" angle: Maybe the forced break up happens because of the business contract we saw in "Animaestro" (the episode also included the almost random topic of the possibility of Kagami and Adrien leaving for Japan)

and Tomoe tells Kagami they will go back to Japan but Adrien and Gabriel stay in Paris. Kagami would then loose every friend she tried so hard to make, loose both Adrien and Marinette and go back to being all alone. That is one HELL of a reason to get akumatized!

Continuing this topic with Marinette/Ladybug it would explain why akumatized Kagami seems to ignore Ladybug to go after Chat Noir. As we also know from the trailers Marinette will loose alot of her social life to her duties as Ladybug AND guardian, Marinette is definitely NOT excluded from the longing for other circumstances in her life.

But the thing with Marinette is that while she indeed has the emotional tumult for Kagami to target her, the circumstances in which she losses her social life give her a purpose to NOT give into the longing and it saves her from Kagamis power.

Marinettes social sacrifices are painful but she knows they didn't happen for no reason. This is the complete opposite to Adriens losses in life and in my assumption the reason why Kagami not only goes directly after Chat but why he then lets himself fall with a smile.

When I see this moment from a "the life we have vs the life we wished we had" angle then I realize again just how much Adrien LOST already and how purposeless it must seem from his perspective.

-Emilie got sick out of nowhere and then just vanished from the surface of the earth in Adriens eyes. He has no idea what happened to his mother, she is just GONE.

-Nathalie may start to become his new mother figure now but she is also bedridden with the same "condition" as Emilie. So even that light is dimmed with a certain darkness.

-Chloe officially crossed a line in "Miracle Queen" and from the way she behaved there Chloe will get even worse this season. Oddly we kinda tend to forget it on some levels but Chloe was for a long time the only friend Adrien was allowed to have. And while they definitely drifted apart althrough s1-s3 Adrien still genuinely cares about her and with her going "antagonist to villain" now, it makes Chloe one more person Adrien now losses.

-How much do I have to say about Gabriel? "Stormy weather 2" already forshadowed that Gabriel will loss Adrien when he continues to go down his evil path and Adrien brought up the possibility of moving on with life without his father. And now with Gabriel being ShadowMoth he will distance himself even more from his son. Gabriel is definitely a person who must basically feel almost lost to Adrien.

-Of course Kagami herself which the break up and loosing her after they became such great friends

-and we can even include Marinette and Ladybug on this list. Adrien/Chat in the s3 finale at last accepted that Ladybug doesn't love him and the summary of "Truth" says that Marinette "neglects Chat Noir" because shes so overwhelmed. So the potential for Adrien feeling like she's drifting away from him as well is definitely there. And I think Marinette is reasonably enough to include here because if she has no time or opportunity to see everyone else, then it also means Adrien doesn't get to see his very special friend very often either.

-combine this with how lonely Adriens civil life normally is and how "Chat Blanc" forshadows that Adriens popularity will increase even more now and how that will definitely affect him

Then you know what? I would perfectly understand why Kagami would go after Chat in particular when she feels such a longing in him for a life where things are normal and peaceful and his loved one do not slip right through his fingers for reasons he cannot know. Adriens losses in life and the way he has to accept that a normal life in general just was never meant for him just HAPPEN to him and therefore I completely understand it if Chat letting go with a smile on his face has to do with him not being able to resist the longing he feels within. He already has to fight and suppress it every day in his normal daily life but faced with an Akuma like Kagami might be he would succomb to it. Because unlike Marinette he can not hold onto a purpose that explains his losses and gives him the strength to hold onto reality.

I will stop here because I don't even know if this will actually be the case x3

But can you imagine how heartbreaking it would be if we were to hear Emilies voice talking to Adrien for the first time and it's the reason why he let's go of his staff??

After Alex closed Tripp’s journal, he met Michael’s gaze across the table at the Crashdown. 

His golden-brown eyes were heavy with pain, the reminder of how his mother’s story had ended was still fresh between them despite the span of months since the fiery end of Caulfield. What had resulted in being the fiery end of them, even though Alex hadn’t known it at the time. The look of sleeplessness in Michael’s face reminded Alex, that outside of this small piece of Nora, he had the weight of Maria still in the hospital recovering from the pathogen Flint had released. The press of the Deep Sky ring in his pocket warred with the hesitation to place one more burden on Michael, would the abacus of their fragile friendship balance out?

He flashed to that last argument in Michael’s bunker, a disaster of his own making, thinking he could believe in his father, but thankfully harm was averted at Crashcon. That recent memory was motive enough for Alex to decide. Whatever happened next, he needed Michael on the same page with him.

As Isobel moved to leave the table, explaining to Michael that she needed to check on Max, Alex held Michael’s gaze deliberately. Then he folded his fingers down, until the last three fanned out in a downward W. 

“After what happened with Maria, maybe you should come with me, Michael. You can help me shake some sense into Max,” Alex heard, tuning back into Isobel’s voice. Her eyes moved back and forth between them, a crease of suspicion wrinkling her upturned nose, as she stopped on him. “It’ll be a good distraction.”

Without looking at Isobel, Michael’s eyes remained trained on Alex’s hand. “No, thanks, I’m good here. I’ve had my fill of stubborn ass people who don’t want to listen to sensible advice from me, so I’ll catch up with you later, Isobel.” 

She made a dismissive huff but did not argue, leaving with the barest semblance of a polite goodbye to Alex, but that was typical Isobel Evans. Michael waited until his sister was on the other side of the door, before speaking quietly, his gaze finally moving up from Alex’s hands to his face. “I haven’t seen you flash that sign to me in years.” 

“Glad to know you haven’t forgotten it.”

“You, making the ‘wait for me, I want you now’ signal? Nah, that’s been burned into my brain over the years.” Michael said it with a faint trace of bitterness. “I guess news travels fast, Maria only dumped my ass this morning.”

Alex winced and looked down, swallowing the surprise and spark of hope that welled in his throat at that disclosure. It was better to concentrate on the unique talent he had of stepping on landmines around Michael, than wonder about what had happened with Maria. It looked like he was still good at causing harm without intention, judging by the stung bite in Michael’s voice. “Fuck, I’m sorry, I didn’t know. I wouldn’t have-”

“No, I’m sorry,” Michael cut off his apology firmly with a wave of his hand, calling a time-out. Alex waited, his teeth pressed into his lower lip as Michael rubbed his eyes with a weary half-smile. “I’m being an asshole right now, and that’s not fair to take it out on you. It’s been a shitty day already, and — anyway, … you definitely know how to get my attention, Alex.” He tilted his head, self-deprecation on his face, “for better or worse, you’ve always been good at that.” 

It had been the sign they had developed whenever their paths had crossed over the years while Alex had been on leave in Roswell, but it had started that summer after high school. After Michael’s hand had healed poorly from Jesse, the last three fingers had been left frozen in a claw, it had been a shared fuck-you to his dad to use it to form their own secret communication. A three-fingered W, turned upward meant it wasn’t a good time, and he would find Michael later; turned downward, well, that meant it was safe to approach him, and it had often ended in a hurried blowjob in his car. Perhaps he should have used more care in using it now, but Michael wasn’t the only one running on the fumes of insomnia and stress. “Sorry, I needed to talk to you, and I wanted to make sure you didn’t leave with Isobel-”

“It’s fine, really. It’s not a bad memory either, remembering that we had our little secret language.” Michael wiggled his fingers in reassurance, his left hand still wrapped with a bandanna. “I can make that signal a hell of a lot easier now, too. But anyway, what did you need?”

There was still a voice inside Alex’s head that said ‘you’, no matter how long it had been. He shoved that down deep, along with his curiosity about Maria, and concentrated on his purpose. “Your advice on something, and then if it’s not too much to ask, your help.”

“Anything.” 

Alex blinked, nonplussed by the easy acceptance. 

Michael gestured encouragingly, “seriously, anything, just tell me what’s going on because the way you’re hemming and hawing, it is freaking me out.” Suddenly, all expression washed out of Michael’s face as a horrible thought occurred to him. “Did you get deployed or something?”

“Not exactly, not how you’re thinking,” he winced at the earned glare from Michael as he continued to stall while the words still tripped and fumbled around his mouth, heedless to the mounting frustration between them both. He sighed, and regrouped. Pushing the closed journal aside, Alex dug into his pocket and laid the signet ring on the table before Michael. “Let me start at the beginning, I found this in my dad’s things.” 

“Jesse never seemed like a jewelry kind of guy to me.” Michael picked up the ring, examining it closely with a sarcastic smirk. “Other than parading around town with that wedding ring, when everyone knows your mom left him back during the Bush years, Dubya that is.”

“My father is all, was all, about appearances.” Alex placed the photo of the group on the table, sliding it over to him. “That ring marked his membership in this paramilitary group called Deep Sky. Every man in that photo worked at Caulfield, at one time or another.” He tapped his finger over the face of his father, then moved it to the right. “That’s my dad, and that is Ricky Long.”

Michael frowned, pulling the picture closer to squint at the faces. “Wyatt’s dad?”

“No, Forrest’s.”

“Nazi guy? Seriously?” He rubbed at his chin, the stubble longer than usual painting his jawline. Alex dragged his eyes away with effort as Michael considered that information. There was a reluctant understanding in his eyes, having recalled that Forrest Long wasn’t just ‘Nazi Guy’ to Alex, but someone who had expressed interest in Alex. Personal interest. “I guess that’s something you guys have in common then, dirtbag dads.” 

He didn’t look thrilled to admit that to Alex, but it was a mark of how far they had both come as friends that Michael had said it anyway regardless. It was kind of him. It was the same type of empathy Alex had extended toward Michael, when he had expressed interest in Maria. Cut open, bleeding under his skin from all the ways he had squandered his own chances, he had said something similar to Michael once upon a time. That was what love was all about. Then he had kept saying it, until he believed it most days because wanting Michael to be happy was the easier ask.

It was a gracious sentiment that was entirely wasted by Michael when it came to Forrest Long. 

“It would be, uh, something to bond over, if I hadn’t noticed that Forrest wears the same ring now.” 

Michael’s eyes sharpened. “Family heirloom or do you think he worked at Caulfield?”

“I don’t know, but he is an ex-Army vet.” Alex tapped the photo of the members gathered together, “That was part of what I’ve been looking into, identifying everyone who worked at Caulfield right until the end. As for Deep Sky, I don’t know if it’s military service, Caulfield, or a family legacy that ties every member together, I just know that Dad kept in touch with those who were involved at the prison.” 

“Makes sense, Jesse was able to get a hold of the atomizer and pathogen that Charlie developed from somewhere. For all of his strutting around at Crashcon with a uniform on, that didn’t look like it was an official use of government property.” 

“Right, it definitely wasn’t, and before you tell me to leave it alone-” Alex began, remembering Michael’s response to the investigation into 1947. He had considered Alex’s actions back then to be an act of futility, something that could only hurt by being revisited. The past being the past, unable to be altered. 

This time Michael cut him off, “No, I was wrong about that. I, um, I finally realized that just because I don’t see you connected to that place or the rest of your family, doesn’t mean you don’t. And while I wish that you didn’t, Alex, if digging into this gives you some sort of peace over it, then do it.”

Alex looked down, feeling the weight of relief that Michael understood. After his father’s body had been removed, after the questions and lies had been spun, he had spent the entire night sleepless over having been made into an effective weapon to force Michael’s compliance. Helena had known where all the weak spots were thanks to Flint, and had armed herself with a depowering agent. Once Flint was recovered, there was nothing stopping him from employing a similar tactic in the future.

“If anyone’s going to destroy me, it might as well be you.” Michael had once declared with a bold carelessness that had infuriated and terrified Alex at the time, but that was nothing compared to now having a lived experience to back it up. His mind had easily used the memory of Maria’s collapse after the faintest exposure at the Crashcon and had exchanged her with Michael, being torn apart molecule by molecule, by an invisible threat.

Give him an enemy that he could see any day, especially one that bled. 

“I’ve been fighting so long, I don’t know what peace looks like anymore.” Alex held out his hand for the ring, and Michael gently laid it in his palm, brushing his fingertips over Alex’s skin. A lifetime of controlling himself kept the reaction off his face as he rubbed his thumb over the raised emblem of Deep Sky. “But I have learned recently that when something seems too good to be true, it is.” 

Neither of them mentioned Jesse and his performance from the last few months, but Michael frowned again, “Wait a second, you think Forrest targeted you on purpose?” 

“A member of a secret paramilitary organization just happens to ask me out after I was involved in the destruction of Caulfield? You really think that’s a coincidence?” Alex raised his eyebrow skeptically at Michael, before looking out the window to watch the pedestrians on the street. 

“I think you’re the hottest guy in Roswell, so I’m not surprised he asked you out.” Michael flushed a little when Alex turned back to stare at him in surprise over the flattering comment. “Seriously, you’re a catch, but I will agree, it’s not a good look that he’s got that ring. But maybe it’s crap he wears because of his dad, and he’s got no idea he’s parading around?”

“You’re being awfully generous.”

“Isn’t that what you want? Because last time I checked, you were the one telling me that I should have faith in people, even if they give me no reason to.” Michael flattened his hands on the table, drawing Alex’s attention to the bandanna on his hand again. That damn fight kept echoing between them to Alex’s dismay, but Michael didn’t let him linger over it, “While I stand by what I said about Jesse, ‘cause he messes us both up, all I know about Forrest Long is that he is way too interested in Nazi history and he has good taste in guys.” Michael wetted his lips, nervously to tack on, “I also know that I trust you, and your instincts, so if you say there’s something not right about him, then I believe you.” 

“There’s something not right about him,” Alex repeated seriously.

“Then I believe you, so what do you need me to do?”

“He wants to get close to me for some reason, probably related to what I know about aliens, so I’m going to let him. And I need you to back me up in case something goes wrong, and maybe use that lock pick you have in your brain?” Alex waited until Michael nodded in agreement, feeling the swell of gratitude at his support. Anyone else would probably think he was being paranoid, or that this was a delayed reaction to his father trying to kill them, but Michael, for all of his previous counter-arguments, had never truly believed in the good of humanity. Maybe in a few days, Alex would feel guilty in relying on that. Maybe in a few days, his suspicions about Forrest would be eliminated.

“He’s involved in running the open mike night at the Wild Pony with Maria, so I thought maybe I could perform a song or something? He drives a Prius, and while he’s listening to me sing, you could slip out mid-song and insert this into the code reader of his car.” 

On the table was a small device that mimicked a thumb drive, small and black. It was the type of technology that Alex had used in the Air Force, tracking terrorists abroad. It had taken a fair amount of searching to purchase the equivalent stateside to have on hand. Michael picked it up curiously, turning over his hands.

“It’s designed to download the GPS history of his car,” Alex explained, before rubbing the back of his head in thought. “That’s how I uncovered what my dad was up to, first by tracking his movements. If I let Forrest take me home, I can gain access to his laptop and phone.”

Michael furrowed his brow in concern, “You’re really willing to go that far? And what if he is involved in something shady, what then?”

“My father and brother both used me to get to you, there’s really nothing I wouldn’t do to keep that from happening again and if it means playing along with this guy, letting him lead me to the members of Deep Sky? Then I will.” If anything, his words only deepened the concern on Michael’s face, but Alex had been committed for a long time. Since the red level threat. Since the short ride to the recruitment office. Maybe as far back as his guitar going missing in the music room.

“I’ve slept with guys for worse reasons.”

A change in the Protagonists’ Goals (And a suggestion on Creepy Luz)

            I think Eda’s Requiem will establish a change in the protagonists’ agenda, as they go from mostly reactive, to straight-up proactive in a battle against Belos?

         Because up until now, they haven’t been particularly concerned, nor under the impression that there’s a final battle they’re building up to. All Luz knows is that Belos wanted the Portal for some reason, but she’s under the impression that she destroyed it, effectively putting a halt to those plans. Lilith is also aware of the Day of Unity, but we don’t know how much she knows… Which, given how Belos later explained it to the Coven Heads, leads me to believe Lilith was mostly clueless beyond Belos needing to consolidate power.

         My point being- The protagonists aren’t really planning nor considering any proactive steps against Belos! To them, it’s probably the status quo as usual, where they just live and mind their own business, occasionally evading the law for the odd crime they pull here or there, likely interfering when they see the coven system up to no good… 

        And that’s it! From Eda’s perspective, she might be under the impression that with herself and her family pardoned, Belos is just going to go back to business as usual- Ruling as he’s always had, for fifty-something years.

         So there’s a good chance that’s how the protagonists have been operating in Season 2 so far… Just focusing on surviving and getting by, like Eda had prior to Season 1- Rebelling against the system by leaving it and occasionally imploring others to do so, but there isn’t some particular idea of a full-on, focused revolution meant to target and actively supplant Belos’ influence. But, that gets us into Raine…

         Raine IS leading an active revolution, it seems- While Eda and the protagonists are focused on themselves because they frankly don’t have the resources for that, and aren’t aware of any drastic event/spell that Belos is building up towards… Raine does, they were fully privy to Belos’ plan to merge the worlds, and they know about the fixed portal, given how it was right behind Belos during that meeting.

         With their influence as a coven head, it seems Raine is gathering a proper, organized effort with an actual game-plan and everything, proactively dedicated towards overturning Belos’ dictatorship completely, by open confrontation if need be, and as it’ll definitely become. And they KNOW about Belos’ plan, so there’s an active time limit before everything is irreparable damaged-

         So regardless of how Raine and Eda work out together as a relationship… I think there’s a good chance that we’ll see the protagonists’ goals and status quo be shaken up now. While they were all preoccupied with just getting Luz back home, now they know that Belos plans to mess with BOTH realms as well- And that means we’ll probably see the protagonists rally up as they realize they need to do something, and start taking the fight to the Emperor’s Coven ASAP.

         The fact that they weren’t probably plays into Hunter sparing Luz, Eda, and King at the end of Separate Tides- Aside from the fact that he’s a kid with morals who is looking for any excuse to leave people be… They aren’t actively opposing the Emperor’s Coven with the initiative to overturn it, just minding their business for the most part, and interfering with the occasional, smaller scheme that they come across.

         But now they know that they HAVE to do something about it ASAP, lines need to be drawn now and sides taken… They have to focus on taking down Belos, and they’ll know he’s fixing the portal. Which, the synopsis to Eclipse Lake and Yesterday’s Lie indicate that Luz is still planning to make her own way back home- But it’s possible that with Raine’s information, the protagonists will consider, at least as a backup, using the repaired Portal by seizing it in a confrontation with Belos.

         Basically, this episode is definitely going to shake things up as the protagonists shift their goals to actively opposing Belos, because they’re aware of some endgame plan of his that will completely change everything- So no more living on their own like Eda had! We might see more of Raine’s rebellion, assuming it isn’t crushed and forced into hiding… 

        Or at least, the protagonists wait for additional information from Raine to act upon in the meantime. Their perception of Belos will change as they realize just how nuts this dude is, and that could really influence any later interactions with Hunter down the line, as they might confront him over this.

         Given how the Season 2 trailer shows Belos attempting to open the Portal with his own take on the key… That might end up coming into play with Yesterday’s Lie, and who knows! With Lilith’s Scrying Potion, the protagonists might attempt to take advantage of this… But on the other hand, Belos is aware of the Scrying Potion, and likely to weaponized that by tricking his enemies on the other end.

         On a final note- Now that we know Belos wasn’t looking for access to the human realm but to merge the worlds with a specialized Portal… This GREATLY increases the possibility that he has a reservoir of Titan’s Blood and has in fact sent people there- Possibly as research into Earth’s properties, and how it can nullify wild magic. Which means there’s a good chance that there are other people loyal to Belos, waiting on the other end for him….

         Which, increases the likelihood that Creepy Luz IS an agent of Belos- And that Belos was able to communicate with them across realms, when he realized Luz’s presence. He might’ve relayed a message to his scout to impersonate Luz to take Camila as potential leverage, while keeping an eye on the entrance to the Demon Realm from the human side- Especially if Belos took advantage of Luz opening the portal to send HIS own messages over.

        Belos would totally use this knowledge against Luz, especially to reveal that Camila is happier with Creepy Luz- Which could serve to demoralize Luz at a crucial moment, and make her liable to despair and desperation that he can manipulate.
