Historically the yakuza as an institution has been exclusively made up of men, and the Tojo Clan is no exception. This is not to say that women have had no part in the clan; they simply operated in an unofficial capacity. Not only do women make up a significant part of the civilian workforce associated with our businesses, but I am certain that many of you have an ane-san in your family or know of one enough to understand their influence. It may be a comparatively quiet power, but not one to be underestimated.

Interestingly, Tojo has had women take front-facing roles in a way that many other organizations have not. As I am sure you are aware, Dojima Yayoi briefly held a position as acting Fifth Chairwoman in 2006. She continues to command a great deal of respect in the clan, and rightfully so.

Despite this, many in Tojo tend to relegate the role of women to accessories at best. It is an unfortunate reflection of the workplace culture of this country, though markedly worse in several areas. Operating outside the boundaries of the law is not an excuse for operating outside the bounds of basic civility.

I would like to take the opportunity to remind all members of the clan that they are to treat their coworkers with respect, regardless of civilian status or gender. They are here to work, not be harassed.

Within the Hakuho Clan specifically, such behavior will not be tolerated. There are members of staff who are far more valuable to our operation than anyone who would choose to break our codes of conduct.

i can't be sure but i think the reason phan doesn't trend when the other tags are is they aren't really all individually trending, but because they get grouped together they all trend as a collective so it's less that the danisnotonfire tag specifically is getting a lot of traction and more that the daniel howell, amazingphil, danisnotonfire, dan and phil tags all are and thus they trend together, whereas the phan tag isn't grouped with them so while more posts are tagged phan than any of the others it's standing on its own in terms of trending. also people look up phan a lot less, since we know browsing the tag counts for engagement that's definitely also a reason

i can't really fault them for not grouping phan with the other tags though, like i'm assuming it's a general rule not to group rpf ships with the standard tags of the fandom they're from lmao that's fair, even if for dan and phil specifically it wouldn't really matter

hi do u have film camera recs??

First shoutout goes to the Olympus PEN series: these are half-frame cameras that essentially double your typical 36 exposure roll to 72, with, IMO, not much compromise in pic quality. Essentially you get two rolls for the price of one. Can’t really rec a specific model because I forget which is which. Can be picked up cheaply secondhand but may have various functional issues. I recall the PEN-EE is good maybe…they are small and good looking

Lomography makes very fun, portable point and shoots if you want to avoid the risks of buying secondhand. The LomoApparat is kinda like a juiced up modern version of the point and shoot I use (Colorsplash which I would rec if you can find one), has a built in flash with colour gels, multi and long exposure modes I think. Also they make this fun Egon Schiele model

Pics ripped from the website gallery for the camera. It kinda vignettes and edge blurs but bottom line it’s a well performing point and shoot that you can buy readily also it looks cool. The other Lomo cameras they have on the site are probably worth a look also.

For a while when I wanted to upgrade I was eyeing the Minolta X700 because of pics I saw from @ginkgolyn on Instagram

Didn’t get it because it was kind of out of my budget. I was also considering a Pentax K1000 (‘dependable workhorse’) but ended up getting a Nikon F801 because it was the cheapest decent camera that could do full manual I could find (SGD$160 for the body and an F1.8 lens). I would recommend it as an affordable step up from entry level it’s just chunky and annoying to carry around

Ultimate rec is just trawl secondhand sites like Facebook marketplace and etc for deals. Older people often clear this kind of thing for cheap because they’ve become phone photography pilled or whatever. Dedicated pop up stores that sell film cameras mark prices up because film is trendy now and it’s kind of easy to fleece a teenager for an ugly and unremarkable point and shoot
