Hermann Göring's creation of 1933, the Gestapo, Geheime Staatspolizei, the secret state police charged with identifying individuals considered undesirable, was a redoubtable weapon in the hands of the Nazi power: a veritable device for terror. On 20 April 1934, oversight of the Gestapo passed to the head of the Schutzstaffel (SS), Heinrich Himmler, who was also appointed Chief of German Police by Hitler in 1936.

In 2013 this then never seen footage was shown in a French documentary called “La Naissance de Charlot” also known as “The Birth of the Tramp”.

This scene very similar to one in his never released short film “How to Make Movies”, shot when he went over to First National in 1918.

I watched the documentary Les 76 derniers jours de Marie-Antoinette. It was not bad, I think. Although their Maxime looks like a random guy with a wig on, he has his Brount with him. 😌 Nice to see them together.

Regarding your question, the documentary was available on Dailymotion in 2020 but now it is not available on the platform due to Copyright and I just wanted to download it but I only took screenshots of rare and personal photos of Claudia that were shown in the documentary ( I will publish it soon 😊).

Citizens of the frev community, I have found perhaps the best documentary on the French Revolution that we have right now. It is by no means perfect, but it is the most accurate one I've seen. Also it's filmed in the style of The Office and it's free to watch on YouTube. It looks like the ML movie is gonna be on Netflix instead of theaters here and I gotta admit I'm a little disappointed! I kinda wanted to hang out with other ml fans irl for a bit, all incognito but maybe wearing one of my pins to see if anyone recognized it.

I AM glad that this should mean I can watch it in French, though. And also that it will be easier/cheaper to watch.
