Una verdad como una catedral, los mods cambiaron la sociedad para siempre. Los mods y los Beatles, habría que añadir. Este es un más que interesante reportaje de Freewheeling que nos envía El Mono. Hay lugares comunes más vistos que el TBO y deslices temporales con algunas fechas y fotos, pero también - lo más interesante- declaraciones de época tanto de mods como de rockers, que reflejan con sinceridad quienes eran y lo que les movía. Por ejemplo ese mod (8' 15") que dice que para salir un sábado a la noche se tiene que meter para que el cuerpo aguante entre 20 y 30 pirulas, y que lo único que le interesa hacer en esta vida es salir ese glorioso sábado a bailar e intentar ligar chicas y lo demás le importa un pimiento. Honestidad brutal, pibe. También está muy bien la sencilla explicación 24' 30" de Beatles pre Brian Epstein > rockers, con BE > una nueva estética derivada- asociada a los mods. Es sencillo de entender, quien lo quiera ver que lo vea. Aunque, y como todo el mundo sabe, los Beatles eran "mockers" y punto.

It's sad that tumblr never quite found the niche of profitability, considering it feels like it has basically optimal design to me in terms of making interesting stuff discoverable while also not cramming a feed full of bullshit I don't care about. "Original posts + a culture of sharing/reposting interesting stuff from other users" works really well! Having to throw a bunch of random categories at news users who then slog through them to slowly teach the algorithm what they actually want to see (as Twitter and Tiktok basically function) is just not nearly as appealing.
