At the moment we have 152 free Patreon members. And we LOVE that they're showing their support with a free membership! Not everyone has the money to donate to support our mission right now. That's understandable! After all, our target demographic is People Who Need Help With Money Stuff.

But if even HALF of our 152 free members started paying just $1 a month to support the Bitches Get Riches mission... we'd have $76 more dollars every month to put into this passion project. That's $912 a year going toward all this great stuff:

Paying our website hosting fees so we have a dedicated space to keep ALL of our research, resources, analysis, and advice.

Paying our podcast hosting fees so people have access to our original podcast episodes.

Paying our assistant and producer, the lovely Ducky herself, for all the incredible work she does editing audio and video, promoting our work across social media, answering all the emails, and corralling us like a gator wrangler with two hissing prehistoric reptiles who'd generally rather be floating around in the murk than producing useful content

But most importantly... we'd be able to create more blog articles, YouTube videos, and podcast episodes. All of that shit is HARD FUCKING WORK. And while we're doing it, we lose the opportunity to do OTHER paid work.

My Patreon page is still very new. So how's it going? I have 119 members, 74 of whom pay something. I've made 18 posts—a mix of cartoons, songs, essays, polls, poems, and readings. With so much more to come!

My new Patreon page currently has 120 members, 75 of whom pay a small amount a month to access all the content.1 That means nearly 40% of the members currently pay nothing. Right now, unpaid membership entitles you to vote in polls and to access the occasional post I’ve already made available to all. But the meatier stuff, and almost all the new stuff from now on, will require paid membership.2…

I've been giving a lot of thought about how to avoid further crisis. Last time I dipped toe into Patreon I had 5k followers. It didn't click and I focused on something that paid out more. As it is I have a monthly payout of $102* up to $213 in the last week.

But things have massively changed. I now have 51.5K followers. I'm willing to admit, even with regular spam pruning, there are bots and people who aren't active. Still it's a lot of people. Likely enough that there are 450 people who would be happy to pay $10 a month for me to have financial stability (read shut up about having funds crises.)

I have been editing my patreon. I have added $5 and $10 levels. All levels receive free gifts after a year of membership, prints or original pieces for $25 and over. I intend to put in progress pictures exclusively on my page.
