oh wow, okay, suddenly it's like my 40 fic children are staring at me in the dark with unblinking glowing eyes. it's very hard to pick favorites but also there's a solid 25 that should know they're nowhere close to making the cut. anyway!

1 – and it all comes down to you

probably not that surprising this is best boy. i love time loops. i love eddie munson. i love the song "gypsy" by fleetwood mac. i've talked a lot about this fic in the past, but yeah! it's very special to me!

2 – good grief

speaking of a fic very special to me, it's the former favorite child. my first brush with my tried and true trope, bad matchmaking. a fic i wrote at a time when knox/charlie had under 10 fics to its AO3 tag's name. oh how far we have all come!

3 – four weddings and no funeral

i don't know what to say other than jamie/colin compels me! this one includes what's probably my favorite scene i have ever written in a fic and, overall, i had a lot of fun with the plot. something about falling in love over a series of weddings.......(everyone go stream the movie Plus One on hulu, xoxo)

4 – armed with stories you will leave

you never forget your first (for stranger things and my ao3 account at least; we don't talk about the ff.net days). i wrote this in a four hour binge after my brother and i finished watching the first season. it was like i was performing an auto-exorcism. mike wheeler, you will never be unloved by me and this fic is the testament.

5 – i've got a feeling (everybody had a good year)

went back and forth a lot on number 5, but i ultimately went with my 2021 ted/trent yuletide fic. there's a lot of individual lines i'm really proud of in this fic, though i'm mostly just proud this monster that took on a life of its own got finished in time. reading it, you can definitely tell i've watched a lot of british rom-coms, but that's what i like best about it. rom-communism is life.

I still hate what Kash and Maya did or like how they went about it, but I still loved every single character.

Duffy can eat a dick. His boring ass really thinks he can judge Maya for something she hasn't even done. She deliberately hasn't gone after Kash. Maybe if he weren't an entitled lameo she would have been more interested and they would have stayed together. He needs to realize that just because he's been in love with her since college that she doesn't owe him anything! Now I'm only on episode 7 but I already know he's gonna get with Ichabod's widow. And they fit because she's entitled and boring just like him. This is the same bitch who told him he can do better than Maya... no tf he can't. But he needs to stick to the rivers and the lakes that he's used you.

Maybe he would bother me less if he weren't white... but he's been tap dancing on the edge for 6 episodes and now the motherfucker has finally crossed the line.

fwaaf season finale

Omg omg I absolutely loved this episode!! So many feels and spoilers below. Obviously I think a few things should have been different but as a whole it was so great and justed capped off the show perfectly!!

Gemma and Duffy and their family were so freaking sweet and cute they made me cry. And while Duffy was still a bit of a weiner he was freaking hilarious. (I honestly think this was the funniest episode of the whole show)

Craig and Zara were really cute too!! I also loved the whole Caleb thing (is it just me or was that whole joke a New Girl shout-out?)

Tony got his citizenship! And him and Andrew just gave me a tooth ache!!

So I know Ainsley has been a right stroppy cow for a lot of this show but she was so funny in this and I really appreciated her growth by the end.

Quick shout out to Marcus! I loved him and the fact that he became Maya's campaign manager!! Sooo perfect!

Bashir and Fatima were super cute too I'm glad we got to see them one last time!!

Finally Maya and Kash!!!! So cute I'm glad they got time to work on each other. It was perfect!! Also Maya's last dress was freaking beautiful!!!!

All in all I really enjoyed this show!!!!

8 . Hands brushing unexpectedly

“WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?”

Maya yelped by the door, as she watched Sebastian dragged an unconscious Mr. Roth by his legs across the room.

She had met Sebastian two weeks ago, on games night. He was Gemma’s younger brother, who had moved back to London recently. He was funny and charming, and Maya felt herself instantly captivated by him. Which, to be fair, considering her past crushes, meant he was trouble.

Sebastian immediately dropped the man’s legs with a loud thud, moving quickly towards her. Maya felt an urge to ran away from him, but he walked past her, looking out to the corridor, and then closed the door. He returned to his previous task, dragging Mr. Roth towards his desk and pulling him up in his chair.

“Is he dead?”

Sebastian lips curled up briefly “No, just asleep” he leaned over towards the computer, using the host’s hand to access it.

Maya stepped slowly backwards to the door, jumping on her feet at the sound of his voice.

“Please don’t”

It was a request, not a threat, Maya figured from the softness of his voice. Whatever he had done to Mr. Roth he could do to her, yet he gave her the chance to trust that he wouldn’t.

He raised his eyes towards her for a second, and as he saw she wasn’t moving he looked away from her, and back to the monitor.

“I’m an agent of the Secret Intelligence Service, and we suspect Mr. Roth has information of a terrorist group active in London”

Maya frowned, taking in consideration his words “Secret Inte-... MI6? You-you, you’re a spy?”

She’d asked him, but he was obviously distracted, talking to his earpiece “I’m copying the files into the pen...- no Morgan, I’m not asking her that. Because not. Can you just stop, please?”

Maya felt her curiosity peaked, and after a brief hesitation, she decided to see for herself what exactly was Sebastian after. She moved towards him and stopped by his side, right in between him and the host. She tried to stay calm even though she felt Sebastian’s eyes watching her as she surveyed the information.

“They’re funding his campaign” she noted, leaning down over the monitor, and facing him. He was already gazing at her, his blue eyes focused on her face, and she felt her heart race. Their hands were brushing against each other. They were so close. His skin was so soft. And he smelled so nice...

Suddenly he pulled her down, hiding them both under the desk, just as the door was being opened. Apparently a bodyguard noticed the host’s absence, and came looking for him. The man called for his boss, who is sleeping in his chair with his head back and mouth open. The guard stepped closer to the desk, it’s only a matter of seconds until he finds them.

Maya quickly comes up in a - terrible - plan.

She moved to her knees and got up from beneath the hosts legs, making it look like she was... well, it’s quite obvious.

The bodyguard was taken by surprise, but since he gave no signs of leaving Maya decided to take the little act to its end. She faked a wide-eyed, shocked expression and pointed to the door, yelling for him to get out.

The guard’s face was all pink as he quickly left without a second look, closing the door behind him. Sebastian jumped up at the sound of the door closing.

“That was, humm... very clever” he clarified, clearing his throat.

Maya gave him a triumphant smile, taking pride on the success of her plan.

Sebastian smiled back at her, and walked towards the door, opening it carefully, making sure the hall was cleared.

“What now?” she asked as she followed him. He turned around to her and raised his hand, a chivalrous gesture for her to go on, and as she moved past him he simply replied

“Now I go after them”

So, here’s the third drabble, using this prompt list. I am having a blast creating these ships - correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think I’ve seen any of them out there!

I had hoped to write more often, but I’ve been doing extra-hours at work and honestly I’m feeling a bit burnout. 

But I love to write, so I promise to update as soon as I can, maybe just at a slower pace than I anticipated. I’m already looking for another prompts for each pairing, so if any of you want to help me decide, I’m open for sugestions and requests!  ❤ ❤ ❤
