How do Dragons treat their young?

Dragon eggs are rarely left with the dragons themselves. It’s so rare that they hatch in the first place that they’re taken to safety soon after they’re discovered for fear of squashing/freezing/stealing.

Dragons usually aren’t very paternal creatures by nature, the only beings they truly form bonds with are their riders. But once the young dragons hatch and are taken back to live in the caves, it’s not unusual for the clutch parent to assume the role of “guardian”. Ie making sure they’re not eaten by other dragons.

Occasionally there while there will also be dragons like Bat, who are very tolerant of other dragons, especially young ones. And will allow them to nest with him. But that’s highly unusual.

Also, when did I say he bullies him? All I meant was “Shuichi does not like some things Kokichi does, like eat his string.” Not that Kokichi bullies/harms him???!

He definitely isn’t a bully in the traditional sense, (he’s funky like that) but I could see people start to kind of see it like that?

Like once they’re middle schoolers or smth I could see teachers talking about him like “oh that Kokichi, he used to be so sweet but now he’s practically obsessed with annoying poor Shuichi” with Shuichi kinda not seeing it as bullying? He’s kinda grown to understand that pranks and general mischief if just how Kokichi shows he cares yknow? They get in a fight but when Shuichi finds a live spider in his desk the next day he just kinda understands that as Kokichi’s way of saying he still cares.
