With over 15 millions views on the official YouTube upload (and millions more on reprints), "Close and Open, Demons and the Dead" is one of the most popular Vocaloid songs Hachi released. While the meaning of the song is open to interpretation, Hachi himself has stated he "meant to depict the cruelty of innocent children" in how something pure and innocent can turn destructive. An example being childhood bullying, and how it can snowball into something worse due to the indifferent attitudes of adults. The MV itself is overflowing with references to death and mythological monsters, further adding onto the songs mysterious vibe. Considering how popular and monumental Hachi's works are within the vocaloid community, it is no surprise that 72.3% of all voters recognized the song!
