was reading Sherlock holmes and this popped into my head

#I’m fine with writers doing something different with a character but they keep making them weirdly mean for no reason #please stop mischaracterizing the blorbos #Sherlock is not a heartless machine of a man. he has allot of compassion he just has trouble properly expressing it.#Why do they keep making him emotionless and broody #well the broody is accurate #stop making him mean to Watson that’s his hypeman bestie soulmate he would kill and die for #And he has a sense of humor. he’s described laughing giggling or chuckling in the books allot. Especially at his own jokes #Batman is a genuinely good person who cares about the people around him and also the entirety of Gotham #He cares about his mentally unwell villains and wants them to get the help they need #And he also doesn’t kill. Under any circumstance. Me: God do you ever think about how Tate most likely moved to Gravity Falls to help his father, like I don't think it's ever mentioned Fiddleford brought his family there. Could you imagine, Tate being so young trying to help his father and being unable to because Fiddleford's mental state deteriorated so much so quickly? Him eventually giving up because he believes there's nothing left to do. But he still stays, he's still in Gravity Falls, the place that took his father away from him. Did he ever confront Stanley? Stanley doesn't seem to know there's a connection to Ford and Fiddleford, how would he react to actually meeting Ford? To learning what actually happened? Would it even help ease the pain?
