The wind softly blew in the breeze, sending leaves floating in the sky. A large elder man picked up a small stone and threw it into the water. It skipped a few times, creating ripples in its wake. He smiled and laughed, placing his hands on his hips. Turning around, he faced his partner who had his nose buried in a book.

"This place is nice, Frankenstein." The man walked over and sat beside him. He peered over his shoulder, looking at the contents of the book. It was an assortment of medical documents, each detailing intimate aspects of the human anatomy. His partner hummed to himself and leaned into his warmth.

"Say doc," The elder began. Medic lowered the book down onto his lap, holding it open. He looked over his shoulder at his lover. Tilting his head, he shot him a interested look.

"Ja, mein Heavy?" Medic said, giving him a grin as he watched the wrinkled skin of his partner turn pink. He briefly giggled and closed the door, putting it to the side. Moving onto his knees, he moved his face towards his. He grinned wider and fluttered his eyelashes.

The Classic opened his mouth to speak, stammering out words. "How did ya, uh-" He looked down at the food laid on the picnic blanket. "How did ya get into science?" The words fell from his mouth as his face grew even more heated.

The Classic leaned over, picking up a sandwich. He took a bite and looked at Medic in awkward silence. The doctor smiled and giggled, raising a hand to his mouth. A dreamy sigh fell from his lips as he watched crumbs litter his partner's lips. Bits of mustard lined the corners of his mouth.

"You're being awfully nice, Heavy." Medic said and looked away from him, looking out towards the lake. Tears burned his eyes and poured from them, rolling down his cheeks. He raised a hand to his face and promptly wiped them away. Promptly, he looked back to the giant.

The Classic's heart swelled in agony as tears sparkled on Medic's face. His heart dropped to his stomach, twisting in his anxious knots. He opened his mouth to speak. "Is this nice, doc? Are-Are ya okay?"

Medic simply nodded and sniffled. "It's more than okay. It's...It's perfect. I-I always assumed that you perceived me as lesser than. But this? It's everything I've wanted."

but a good day for charles !!!!!! in my Humblest of opinions, a 'good day' is probably any day he can just. be with the x-men as a family. any day they dont have to worry about any kind of threats or have to do any x-men training or any of that: just a day they can really behave like a typical family and relax together

bonus points if erik can be a part of this perfect day/vacation without incident. i mean, his happiest moments were with him, weren't they..

What are your thoughts about the pacing of the series, because I personally think that everything has been rushed to absolute hell.

The only real timeskip we get is the 10-11 months at the very beginning when Izuku is working on improving his physical condition to receive OFA.

After that, it's like all of the major events are spaced at like days or weeks apart, and I just don't like it. You're telling me all of these major events happened in their FIRST YEAR at UA alone? Yeah, I'm not buying it at all.

I really don't get it either, to be honest.

The beginning was a little weird to me, considering we're going from middle to high school very quickly with very little in between the time skips to get us settled in. And once Izuku gets into Yuuei, it's just one plot point after the next, after the next, after the next - it's exhausting to read through. I have to admit, I'm a manga reader through and through, and I'll defend reading the original all day every day, but sometimes I wish we had more filler or at least more chill arcs in between whatever the next calamity is going to be.

I continue to refuse to believe that ALL OF THIS happened within the first year at Yuuei. Besides being the single worst year in the school's history for staff and students alike, there's just too much at play here that needs to go down. They should've broken it down into the cast's entire three years at Yuuei to make it more believable. Give AFO more time to get Shigaraki ready, give Shigaraki more time to perfect his control and his techniques, give the League more time to become a more feared villain group - and give the kids more time to BREATHE. They're literally kids, they shouldn't have to deal with all of this in their first year alone. Can you imagine how AWESOME it would be if we had to see third-year Izuku going toe-to-toe with Shigaraki? How awesome it would be if we got to see them all matured, having trained themselves up, and going all out in a civil war against the villains' side. But we won't get that, because - and this is my opinion - everyone is too impatient to get the ball rolling. I don't think Horikoshi and the team want to wait until 1-A's third year for a climactic battle of ideals. And that's honestly kind of disappointing.

It's too much even for the audience. Many times in the manga I had to stop reading for a while because I needed time to process what the hell just happened before diving into the next problem at hand.

I don't know. You've got a good point in that the pacing is off, even for a shonen manga. I know it's taboo to even suggest, but I really do wish there was more manga filler to at the very least give readers time to process each arc. I know that's probably what the manga breaks are for, but I jumped into the manga after MHA started airing as an anime. It's too much.

Then I guess Ranma. Like every other character is a martial artist. The residents of Nobiki-cho don't stand a chance out there, and that's including Mendou's resources of the disgustingly rich. Sasuke could kill Megane if he so chose I think. They'd have to get through Lum but she's too preoccupied wrangling in Ataru who's trying to get Shampoo and Kodachi's phone numbers.

Anyway, the whole cast is at each others throats when suddenly a warm familiar voice speaks up:

"Everyone! Lunch is ready! Be sure to wash up!"

Char, who’s pretty good for a Ceruledge and even (eventually) got the Partner Mark, meets Corruption, who’s definitely super evil. How long until Corruption bullies Char about her height? Or maybe about having Pokémon she could consider friends (I’m sure it’s common to have more evil Ceruledge bully less evil Ceruledge for being too soft or something idk)
