Hellooo i saw that you were asking for asks (that sounds funny) and I wanna know some of your hcs on Kevin and Allison being besties/ kevjean relationship

This is my chance to finally share some Allison/Kevin hcs so I'm gonna seize this opportunity with both hands and give you this total MESS of a brain dump

- Allison is the only fox that doesn't make fun of Kevin's eating habits. Kevin KNOWS his relationship with food is fucked up because of the nest and Allison knows it too, so she refuses to make bets or make fun of the way that he eats. Kevin only realised because she once tried to quietly tell Nicky to knock it off when he was pushing Kevin to have dessert or making fun of what he'd decided to have instead.

- Kevin also knows not to talk about the numbers or macros in front of her, too. They have a weird unspoken mutual respect RE: food and they both appreciate each others efforts on that front without ever actually mentioning it. they also have a gesture for each other that's code for "i want a snack do you have anything" and they'll throw each other protein bars if they're out/on a long bus journey etc.

- they are the BEST drinking buddies. Whenever the team starts drinking/partying/clubbing more together post-TKM, they are literally CHILDREN when they're drunk together. Kevin gets tired of the monsters being boring when they go out and there's only so much dancing he can do with just Nicky and Aaron alone. So Allison pulls him up to the bar one night to do a tequila shot, and they literally have the most unexpectedly fun night ever. Kevin loosens up a whole lot without the threat of Riko etc post tkm, and when I tell you he is such a fun drunk. now he doesn't really drink THAT much during the season but off-season? oh he's a party animal. I could write thousands of words about him and Allison getting drunk together and becoming literal best friends as soon as they have a drop of alcohol in their systems but here's some things I think they've done drunk

stole a shopping cart and sat in it as they pushed each other down the road in it (and fallen out of it and laughed so fucking hard) ((but were bruised up as fuck the next day because of it)

he's sat her on his shoulders - while dan sits on matt's - as the two girls try to push the other one off

he's really easily convinced to do things by her. another shot? sure. and another shot IMMEDIATELY after that? alrighty! karaoke? well, okay. jockeyback? stealing traffic cones? pulling pranks and fucking with the other foxes? acting like actual teenagers? okidokie!

she's probably the only person in the world who has successfully convinced kevin day to sing

he holds back her hair if she has to puke

she convinced him to let her do his makeup once. full glam. like a serious look, fully beat, full coverage look. there's a picture out there somewhere of it that she saves for blackmail.

fucked. make out sometimes. strip poker. they dance together :)

he never lets her walk alone anywhere when she's drunk. if she can't find one of the girls to accompany her to the bathroom at a party she'll take him.

she's taught him full dance routines

she was joking that there's no way the raven warmups could be that different to theirs, and bet him that she'd be able to do them without breaking a sweat (he won)

they've both ugly drunk cried in front of each other (but they never talk about that sober)

she's pretty light so he's bench pressed her before

- They know each others drink orders/favourite shots

- if Allison is out, say she's with her friends and not with the foxes, and she has to wait alone for a taxi or walk somewhere alone, she'll call him and he'll stay on the phone with her until she's safe

- They make fun of each other and bully each other like there's no tomorrow (affectionate). the whole "Allison hates Kevin" thing WAS true for a while, but once they get closer, she just pretends to hate him. he's like an annoying brother to her

- Allison is really easily frightened, and Kevin thinks it's funny to scare her. she's never safe walking around a corner or into a room if Kevin is there and in a good mood.

- they're not BEST FRIENDS. like they're not in each others pocket all the time and laughing and joking ALL THE TIME but she can read him like a book. she knows when he's having an off day, or thinking about something too much.

- She also knows when he's being serious and when not to joke around. She knows when he doesn't want cheering up or to joke about something and knows when to back off. The same with him - he knows when she's having a mood that requires being cheered up, or a mood that requires him to leave her the fuck alone.

- He's a big reason why she puts a whole lot more of herself into Exy post tkm. She's always been invested, but once they talk more, and they consider each other friends, she listens to him talking about Exy and it really clicks for her. his dedication. and also how fucking talented he really is. She doesn't do the night training with him but they'll occasionally go to the gym together or start practice a half an hour early to run some basic raven drills.

- They're iconic when they get together to do press after games. they bounce off each other like nothing else. they're just so funny. and he's also like andy murray in that he will ALWAYS defend her, dan, and renee's talent if interviewers start to focus more on him instead of the girls. he'll step in if an interviewer says something shitty or misogynistic. she LOVES directing objectifying and misogynistic questions his way.

- She calls him a bitch and makes fun of him for being a nepo baby. He calls her an asshole and makes fun of her for being a rich kid.

- Have gone to banquets as each others date.

that's just a few random thoughts off the top of my head but yes. Allison and Kevin. Literally the only Two Pretty Best Friends ever to exist.

I've seen this being shared before but I wanted to have it on my blog anyway. That last devnote just kills me. And Astarion does, in fact, kill you if you let him. I like that it happens. I think that was one of the moments where it broke that romantic vampire trope. You can't trust vampires - they will eat you!!

I didn't know much about dnd vampires, and having already lived through that vampire loving phase in my teens he wasn't really interesting to me, at first glance. But being a vampire is not really the main focus of his story, is it? It's trauma, slavery and survival. It's how strong he is despite being so goddamned scared.

Which makes him human more than anything else. I think we like him so much because of that.

i understand the frustration with “i made this gay pairing cis x trans so they can still have biological babies” with no thought to other methods and how ppl assume thats the case when it comes to mothpool aus where mothwing is also the mother of the three, but also…. idk i kinda dont give a shit if someone wants to do that and i dont really think its inherently transphobic as long as its handled with care and respect.

what really concerns me about this debate is how some people are adamant that you cannot portray trans people having biological children in media or youre being disrespectful. and im gonna say as a nonbinary person who doesnt want children for themself- thats kinda fucking weird? like i understand that for some people, theyre trans themselves and theyre speaking from a place of dysphoria, and i absolutely get that, which is why i think the topic should be handled with nuance and diversity in trans characters, but like…. guys. pregnant trans men exist irl. trans women get people pregnant irl. trans ppl’s ability and right to parent and have biological children are being debated irl. we get denied the opportunity to adopt as well.

in a climate like this, are we SURE we want the stance on rewrites and headcanons in the silly cat books to be “if you portray trans characters having children, especially with a gay couple, youre a transphobic freak no matter what!” does it really matter? especially if its being done by a trans person handling the topic with nuance who has a lot of trans characters with varying perspectives?

obviously yes, remember that thats not the only way certain gay couples can have kids, remember that not every trans person is fully comfortable with it and keep that in mind, remember that surrogacy and adoption are also perfectly valid ways to give fan babies- but remember that there are OPTIONS. not that you need to condemn the idea of transgender parents in the first place unless they fit the very specific criteria of “proper transgender representation” and anything that dares deviate from that is proof the op is a transphobic monster (bonus points if theyre a trans creator bc i mostly see trans people getting shit for this and it kinda pisses me off. although idm if cis people do it either as long as theyre handling it with respect)

i saw an account post that, unfortunately, if you are a jason todd fan account then you’ve most definitely gotten an ask along the lines of “if you like fanon jason then you’ll definitely like canon helena/steph/mia” and was wondering if you’ve ever gotten an ask like that

I've gotten a few about Helena specifically, never Steph or Mia so I'm going to talk about Helena rather than generalize what I'm about to say to both of them too (because I was actually thinking about this a few weeks ago!)

Those people are right...in a way. If you want christian guilt (that Jason does not in UTRH and should not ever struggle with) and genuine efforts to be accepted by the Bats? You want Helena. A character whose relationship with killing can be benefited by people bringing her into their light without rendering her previous choices pointlessly antagonistic? that's Helena.

Then there's also the factor of Helena often, in canon, being treated as unstable and untrustworthy, no matter what she does to prove otherwise. and that's seen as a continued failing on her part, even if it's others that refuse to believe in her. Jason constantly being pushed into those situations in fanon and canon is very Helena coded. He's got her good and bad.

But if you like the Jason from UTRH era, arguably the best written Jason post-resurrection (which isn't saying much because...we all know how he's written most of the time), then Helena would never work for you because they're so different. Even with fanon, there's only a certain extent it can apply to. Helena's not Bruce daughter, he didn't raise her, she was never family for him outside the costume (or in it. but that hurts me to say), and she certainly wasn't Dick's sister. So those dynamics should be different inherently, even in fanon where they're altered to resemble something like what Helena has. There's still a history that Jason has here that she naturally doesn't.

I think it's too vague and unhelpful of a thing to say if you're trying to make people interested in Helena or change their portrayal of Jason. But I do see the basis of it.

I had a writing assignment in class and long story short, I wanted to write Zachary so here you go 🖤

Pairing: Zachary x MC

Tw: death, feelings of grief, Zachary being Zachary?

Zachary was silent and lost in thought as he walked down the dimly lit sidewalk. It had now been 8 years, 5 months, 27 days and 13 minutes since he had lost you. Just the thought of it made his hand clench tightly around the bouquet in his hands. How could you have just left him? He thought about it every day, every minute, every second. 

He could still hear the tires on the car screeching as he swerved to try and avoid the other car, he could still feel your lifeless body in his arms after he had crawled out of the wreckage and dragged you out. He could still taste the metallic taste of blood in his mouth from his injuries. He didn’t acknowledge the paramedics when they asked him questions and tried to check him for injuries. All he could do was stare down at you lying lifeless and bloody in his arms. He didn’t care if his favorite shirt was covered in your blood as he held your body tightly to his chest. His hand had stayed intertwined with your limp one, his thumb rubbing over the matching ring you wore on your ring finger. That day was supposed to be yours and his honeymoon. He could still feel the screams and sob that came out of his throat when your body was ripped away from him by the paramedics. 

He had made sure to give you the most extravagant funeral money could buy. Anything for you. He has barely left the house ever since that day. Why would he? You were the only one he had ever loved. The light in his darkness. His muse, his life, his universe, his everything. The only people he talked to were his parents but even then he was becoming withdrawn from them like he had with everything else in life. 

How could anybody expect him to get better? He would never be able to see you smile, your tears, how cute you looked when mad. His gallery was the only thing that had held him together for so long. 

He had made sure to kill that drunk bastard long ago. He made sure to make it slow and painful, making them feel every bit of pain Zachary felt when they took you away from him.

Zachary’s thoughts were interrupted when he realized he had finally reached his destination. He knew the place by heart now as he quickly walked and weaved through the different tombstones until he finally got to the one that was covered in roses from where he brought a new bouquet every time he visited. It had to have been one of the most beautiful tombstones in the graveyard with how much money he had spent on it along with making sure the graveyard workers kept it clean and looking new.

Zachary let out a heavy sigh before speaking quietly, even if it was nighttime and nobody was around he didn’t want this moment with his love to be interrupted. “I’m back again love, how are you?” He spoke softly into the night. No response, like always but he didn’t care. Zachary bent down and placed the bouquet of roses that he had been carrying onto the front of the tombstone. Zachary just stared blankly at the tombstone afterwards, the place beside it he had already gotten ready, with his name already on there in beautiful font. He was just waiting for the day he got to join his lover and rest beside them now. And that’s what he had been doing for the past 8 years. Maybe then in the afterlife he’ll be able to hold you again, kiss you, whisper the sweet soft words and keep up with those promises he made the night before your wedding. Maybe you two could have a second wedding, even more extravagant then the ones you both had when alive if that was even possible. Zachary couldn’t help but smile at the thought as a tear dripped down his cheek from his bright blue eyes.

Zachary’s thoughts were interrupted once again by a sudden sound in the nearby woods. Someone else was here. Zachary stayed quiet as his eyes scanned along the edge of the woods when he heard a deep chirring noise. Whatever it was, it wasn’t human. Zachary had the thought of running but he looked down at the tombstone and stayed still. Perhaps this was the moment he would finally join his spouse again and see their smile. He hadn’t expected it to be this early but he would take it. As the chirring sounds got louder, Zachary’s breath got heavier. He was thinking about his parents' reaction to finding out about their son's death right over his beloved souse’s grave. Maybe he should have given them a call before visiting again. Maybe Zachary should have been a bit nicer to the shy gentleman that dropped off a package at his house today. 

The few streetlights at the front of the cemetery flickered as the chirring got even louder and Zachary could barely make something tall moving out of the front of the woods in the dark. “I’ll see you….very soon…my love.” Zachary whispered softly and shakily as he looked down at your tombstone beneath his feet. He heard the thing suddenly starting to move very quickly towards him and closed his eyes, ready to finally see you again.
