sometimes out of the blue i'm reminded how we go from rj's egwene, who talks repeatedly about how she'd happily give up the amyrlin stole so the white tower can be whole — if only the other amyrlin weren't power-mad elaida — to bs's egwene, who is obsessed with maintaining and cultivating her power for power's sake and refuses to ever acknowledge being wrong

#and i get mad all over again #just!!!!#what a gross misunderstanding of egwene as a character #and literally her entire arc #and every action she takes from the moment she's raised to amyrlin #but also just: every action she takes #egwene is rand's foil #her number one concern at all times is duty #she cares about her DUTY to the white tower #she cares about getting the aes sedai READY for the final battle #she and rand have exactly! the same! goal!#just in different spheres #leadership is just a means to an end #and the end is the world being as ready as possible #for the final battle #to minimize the damage #this comes up again and again with other characters who rise to leadership #even galad with the whitecloaks!#my hatred for what sanderson did with the books only slumbers never dies #and only grows the further away from them i get #wot book spoilers #egwene al'vere #sanderson critical #words

#mlp #my little pony #mlp infection au #mlp infection #twilight sparkle #Sorry for leaving the ending open ended but I genuinely couldnt decide on just one way for things to turn out and I liked the idea of #leaving it open the most #in my mind sunset's final message is like we found a recording from the later days of the infection and we dont know what happened in the #end because the recordings stopped/ended #In any case I think they were able to put twilight and the others to rest #but who knows who survived the “final battle” and who didnt #also yes Twilight created harmony syndrome but not on purpose lol #it was the result of her botched attempt to create a spell that makes ponies immortal #obviously it backfired lol #and the irony is that twilight ends up dying before any of her friends #if they didnt want me writing my little pony horse tragedy they shouldnt have left mlpfim off on the note that all of twilight's friends #were growing old without her #ending thats been haunting me for five years #if anyones seeing this this is an open au btw so feel free to adopt any of the ideas if you like! : )#tw thanatophobia #thanatophobia

I was so sad when they cut Luke teaching Percy sword fighting from earlier episodes, one of the main reasons being because it would have meant that they couldn’t reasonably have Luke giving Percy instructions during the Ares fight, but having sword fighting lesson flashbacks during the fight was genius it tied everything together really well and made so much sense considering Luke hasn’t been in a huge portion of the show and your average viewer wouldn’t necessarily recognise his voice
