I need to know if I'm the only person who can't stand reading hardcovers with the dust jackets on??? The way they slide around and start tearing or curling at the edges drives me crazy sjsbnsn the FIRST thing I do before reading any hardcover is take the dust jacket off and never put it back on 😭 (I keep them for storage if they're exceptionally pretty or if it belongs to someone else then I put it back on when I give it back, but most of them get thrown away) I always see people reading books with them still on though and it makes me suspect I might be the outlier here...

1. her hair has sharper edges and often doesn't want to stay put thanks to static electricity

2. the umbrella works as her main conductor, collecting electricity for her to store/power up her attacks in general

3. her having electricity powers doesn't mean shes not immune!! hence the thundershock scars on her arm. normally, using her powers doesn't give her a scar. overusing her power and unleashing a very strong attack will cause more scarring to appear.

Because it's fucking canon that in the middle of a fight for chays life, a fight he already knows is going to cause some damage, a fight he's outnumbered for and no one even knows he's there, he still keeps yok from losing an entire shelf and mirrors and alcohol. He knows she is a small business probably knows her entire Financials what with him being Mr. Mcsnoopy face.

Genuinely the thing that annoys me about BH AS A GROUP (I love them all as individuals taken out of context) is that of the three parties we’ve seen they are the LEAST concerned with other people besides their own.

Vox Machina are always going out of their way to help people in crisis. The Mighty Nein are more selfish and somehow even MORE insanely devoted to each other but they still usually pause and think about other people.

And maybe it’s because BH’s story didn’t involve all that many “town saving” adventures to give them that kind of “doing good feels good” dopamine in their low level days before they were thrown into “you have to save the world and barely any of you have any reason to care about other people” and that makes sense, but it makes their decisions and decision paralysis all the more frustrating because none of them- NOT ONE- is thinking beyond well what does this option mean for ME, instead of “well what does this option mean for the average Exandrian citizen.”

And part of me hopes that having the Nein around, who are very self-interested and recovering broken people who had no reason to care for others, but do believe in doing good and minimizing damage and acting quickly when their rash decisions have consequences will be a boon to them. Like, don’t get me wrong. I’m very excited for the silliness, but I’m praying for some perspective from people who have been the people the Hells are.

Aoiugghghh hang on. Carver comforting romanced Anders after Hawke gets left in the fade. They may not like each other, barely tolerating the others presence, but after Hawke is gone sharing stories of them is the only way the two of them stay sane. Carver hearing the news and immediately seeking out Anders because that's what Hawke would have wanted, for anders to be safe, and now that they're gone, suddenly obeying his sibling's wishes doesn't seem so awful.
