#kingdom hearts #kh #ahh this one was so hard to draw; i never know how to combine a bunch of scenes in one picture without it looking cheesy #just threw a bunch of waves and leaves and birds on top and called it a day haha. it might be a bit too busy though #the white line going up the center is supposed to be a trail left behind by the gummi ship! it connects to the ship in the bg at the top #it's kinda meant to evoke little kids dreaming of other places-> getting older and earnestly making the raft to try to reach the dream #->the gummi ship as a premonition of how they'd actually reach the dream in the future. i guess? idk how to explain #and i really wanted to have kairi's expressions be really similar but changing subtly from wonder to worry when she's older #the boys are just max enthusiasm the whole time #but yeah. something something Symbolism and hopefully it's at least kinda pretty if it doesn't make sense #i'm just super proud to have been part of this project! everyone's work is just amazing #the destiny kids give me this soft feeling of kinda lonely nostalgia. it's nice to have a book full of that #very wistful looking through it #fan art #my art #project stuff

#no they were best friends first #it wasn't love at first sight #I think Vasco just gradually noticed that Machete is sincere and kindhearted and genuinely tries to be a good person #and it's hard not to appreciate that Vasco is known for having those qualities too his are just a lot more evident #he's an one person dog but when he gets attached to you he's fervently dedicated loyal caring and supportive #he's perceptive thoughtful and a good listener #sensible highly responsible and keeps his promises #does his part or dies trying even if no one is there to notice #he's learned knowledgeable and a lot more sharp-witted than people give him credit for and infodumps as a love language #their interests and ideologies overlap or at least complement each other #he has problems but really tries to do better and never takes any help he's given for granted #he always dresses well smells nice and has soft pettable fur #and he can be kind of funny and cute in his own dorky way #and Vasco sees how his presence continuously brings out the best qualities in him #and cherishes the fact he can be such a positive force in someone's life #answered #anonymous #Vaschete lore

Liv i’m thinking of roommate!rintaro with his not-in-the-contract-but-act-like-a-roommate-best-friends twins! the chaos they cause,, the rucus in the apartment is never ending, leaving you with exhaustion, but still they make it up by bringing you food and coffee when you are in your exam week or stressfull week at work,

osamu pretty much runs the kitchen when he is the only one who knows where the spice cabinet is and the good plates are, atsumu has his own set of keys that he got made in secret

bickering with atsumu one day when him and osamu are at the apartment freeloading (AGAIN) and going "LAST TIME I CHECKED YOUR NAME'S NOT ON THE LEASE" and atsumu just quirks a brow and gets right up in your face and is like "oh, yeah? when's the last time you checked?" all smug. and you turn and look at suna because honestly at this point you wouldn't put that kind of shit past him. (you make him dig out the lease and prove to you that he didn't let atsumu sign onto it without your knowledge.)

#liv got mail #funnier still: atsumu and osamu have their own apartment in the same building but they spend all their time at you and suna's place #bc they have like one table two chairs and their respective beds and that's IT for decor/furniture #atsumu uses all your nice smelling hand soap and never shuts up about how soft your throw blankets are #and osamu borrows your cookware at least every other day before he eventually just starts cooking at your place to save the effort #hq hcs

Belated 2024 parts collection!

These are a few video parts I did for a collab and a couple MEPs (Multi-Editor Projects) last year. While I would have liked to participate in more, I'm glad I managed three. It was fun to try editing with other sources than just Detective Conan—and to focus on a different aspect of DetCo than I usually do with Sonoko and Makoto in the one Conan part!

The first part (using the anime film Belle and the Wicked song "What Is This Feeling?") is one of five that I edited for the DynamIC Duos collab event at BentoVid. Participants were secretly paired up to make an AMV to the theme "Opposites," and there was a bit of a game of guessing the pairs... but I was pretty obvious because of my subtitles! Still, it was great working on this video with my collab partner Kia, and you can check out all 10 parts here!

The second part uses Cascada's "Ready for Love" and the second season of Birdy the Mighty: Decode (and all episodes save 5 and 11), with the full video here!

The third part uses The Ready Set's "Love Like Woe" and Episodes 173, 268, and 993 of Detective Conan, as well as both volumes of the Movie 23 manga and TV Special 6 (Episode One: The Great Detective Turned Small), with the full video here!

(And because English-language access to Detective Conan is limited, and I like to plug what's available when I can: there is an official English translation of the Movie 23 manga! While it's only available in Southeast Asia, MPHOnline does ship internationally, and they have a few other English-language manga titles (like Zero's Tea Time) that aren't available from Viz (and without the FUNimation dub name changes).)

Amazed to see this review of Good Omens from four years ago that calls it exactly what it is: A gay cosmic rom-com. Such a refreshing and remarkable change of pace from "buddy movie" and "unlikely friendship" and other such euphemisms, which unfortunately seem to be just as (if not more) prevalent in the reviews today than in 2019. Hopefully Michael and David will get to do a full-on sex scene won't have to keep screaming about how in love Aziraphale and Crowley are by the time season 3 comes out...

lowkey it kinda bothers me a little bit that we've literally never seen the inside of a Dunlanding house. The only interiors we got in Dunland were craft areas and meeting-halls, never seen inside of one home. I mean presumably it looks similar to the interiors we've already seen (round, built a little ways into the ground, probably has a firepit in the center, furnished with a lot of fur rugs, most likely a bit smaller), but like, what do their beds look like? do they have bedframes or are they just on the ground? what does the rest of their furniture look like? are there windows or all they all as dark as the other buildings we've seen in Dunland? is it sectioned off into rooms or is it one large circular chamber? what different kinds of decorations would be in there??? I need to know these things!

#I mean I guess this just means I'll need to figure out these things myself in reguards to what Margim's house looks like #but it would have been nice for lotro to give me more to work with as a starting point y'know?#I think that they should have some windows at least. like not made of glass but just some way to let in natural light and fresh air #the other buildings we've seen in lotro look cozy and all but they just So Dark #I assume the other ones in-game had some sort of windows (I think you can even see them on some exteriors)#but they were just literally never sown open on the inside #as far as beds go I think that‚ regardless of what the 'norm' is in Dunland‚ Margim sleeps on the floor actually #I mean think about it she's literally been sleeping on the floor her whole life. I think she would feel too exposed sleeping off the ground #so she just has a big pile of furs and blankets and other soft bedding she sleeps on #obviously I didn't do that in her lotro house but that's just bc they don't give me enough fur items to make that vision work #lotro

As far as mainstream toy collection goes like of all things to be popular why squidhmallowss and funkoos theyre so bland overall

on further reflection maybe it isn't out of character that i liked the kens over the barbies when a lot of the joke is how the barbies are all blandly nice and hypercompetent which as you may know is like my single most uninterested gender dynamic for fictional characters

#i shouldn't be saying any new opinions without rewatching the movie maybe fan response & hindsight is biasing me but it's like #oh you have men that are allowed to be silly and cringe but the women are all nice and have only minor surface level flaws? cool im bored #and the human characters honestly fall into a similar trope. the human women have *more* personality but still very little.#margot barbie as i remember her didn't really. have any flaws or do anything really wrong but she at least had desires #so she's *better* than the others. none of the other barbies except weird barbie are even distinguishable smh #i mean issa rae had the funniest jokes when she was allowed to speak but that's about it.#avpost #there's a reason the main barbies sequence i can remember is when they pretend to be stupid to get the kens to like mansplain to them #bc it was the one time the female characters were allowed to be like. silly. and not boring or trying to force an unearned serious beat.#unfortunately the idea of bad and/or cringefail women is antithetical to a movie like this but idk that's the characters i actually enjoy .#weird barbie could have at least been cringefail but she's still. hypercompetent too. :-/#idk maybe on repeated viewings ill catch more Subtle Flaw Nuance that makes the female characters less boring to me but #it just feels like based on what the movie was going for they were targeting all my personal least fave female character tropes #well meaning liberal babys first feminism media can fall into this trope of goofy men with competent nice women and its soooo dull.#like not always i have enjoyed my fair share of well meaning liberal baby's first feminism media. i have a soft spot 4 it.#but its usually things where the women have conflict *with each other*. or its horror media. so the women aren't all perfect/nice.

I think I'm struggling creatively because as time goes on I find less and less motivation to write (and read, tbh!) stuff that's

good wholesome queer representation

escapist everything-gets-better fantasy ("because life is hard enough why would you write about miserable things")

palatable to people who disagree with me

And obviously I'm nowhere near finishing even a single original thing yet ahdfhajf but I've been looking at publishing videos that people who have experience in the industry have made and. Man no wonder that so much milquetoast stuff gets put out nowadays

#not to be a hater and controversial but #the fact that its often straight people judging whether queer representation has problematic elements (and similar situations)#and lots of queer media seems to be made with straight people in mind (at least as a considerable portion of the audience)#and ugh in general/unrelated like. i just want to write litfic about the human condition XDD and structural inequality #but if i do it with fanfic nobody will read it because my most popular fics will always be ones where white men kiss each other for 3k word #obviously i'm grateful that anyone reads anything i write aggdhfh it's very nice to be heard #but fr my most popular fics are NOT my best ones #and yeah like if i write original fiction it's unlikely to do well in publishing because there's no hot sexy straight romance or wholesome #soft high school good representation queer people:3 #maybe i can put in a red herring twink guy idk #also i'm just so bitter about linguistic inequality still XDD like. in a video abt fantasy tropes the person making the video hates they #said that they hate 'overly long fantasy names' that they can't pronounce #which just made me go 'silence anglo' mentally because omfg super often those names are just BASED ON CULTURES YOU'RE NOT PART OF #(disclaimer i know not all english speakers are ignorant hahfjsdhjfj)#but yeah its funny when old english inspired names are too hard for modern english speakers like welcome to being anyone else lol #its somehow considered a minimum requirement of knowledge to be able to pronounce names like george and matthew correctly #but then for other languages it's a special courtesy if people say names right #afujishgfis and this is just one example #rant #writing #literature

pretty little ginger cookies!!!!! 🧡

#I'm so excited to eat one..........after dinner..................off in the distance............#it was a 'ginger cookies without molasses' recipe so it called for maple syrup BUT i used honey.#did not have molasses (i keep forgetting to get some.............wish they made smaller jars......) or maple syrup #(no great maple syrup consumption in this household but i do try to keep it on hand for baking but i need to get more of THAT too.)#(had had the previous jar for a while. you should be careful with even eternal syrups.)#they should be hopefully!! a nice mix of Soft And Hopefully A Little Crunch.............#it's my brother's birthday next week and he likes gingersnaps (but again. no molasses) so i at least wanted to make some ginger thing.....
