i've said it before and i'll say it again, i cannot express how helpful keeping a list of the activities, people and things that help you feel at peace can be for your healing.
when you're feeling disjointed take the list out, how long ago since you last had a conversation with someone that makes you feel loved, did your favourite hobby, made your favourite meal or drink, visited your favourite place, watched your favourite film or listened to your favourite song? how long ago since you last did something you truly love, simply for the joy of doing it?
#hoping i can get this into my head#for me its things like reading and writing and tarot and journaling but for you it might be something completely different#i stopped doing those things a while ago and i just realised i haven't felt right since#recovery#self care#love letters to you

Things that have helped me feel closer to my deities:
Praying before their altars (bonus points if you write your own)
Read books other than their myths (books you think theyād enjoy themselves)
Meditating with them
Learn about magickal subjects related to them
Dedicate a journal for notes and document experiences you have with that deity (including moments where theyāve assisted you and any divination conversations youāve had with them)
Listen to their messages and follow through with them
Light incense that reminds you of them
Find artwork that feels like that deity and hang, print or save them
Divination Methods (Runes, Tarot, Pendulums, Bone Throwing, etc.)
Watch content on different subjects theyāre related to (documentaries on death, relationships, crime, etc.)
Dedicate, care, and/or name pets, plants, plushies, etc to them
Learn not just their pantheon and myths but the culture that influenced them
Wear jewelry dedicated to them (bonus if you have that deity enchant them with protection)
Share meals with them
Thinking of them in passing (like āhey that thing reminds me of *insert deity*ā)
Talk casually at their altars and give them an itinerary of your day
Define your relationship with that deity and refer to them accordingly (if its a more formal/in reverence, use a formal title. if itās warm/personal, use an affectionate name.)

my marauders headcanonās : a series
regulus black first cause he is me and i am him.
first off he does have curly hair. idc argue with a wall or something
he writes so much sad boy poetry and even song lyrics sometimes. he has FILLED journals with his writing and has his whole life within the pages of his writing.
especially when sirius leaves the family he has at least 2 journals filled with his angst about his brother replacing him with his friends.
this is also where he has record of his infatuation and hatred of james; very much āi can hate someone and still find them hotā type of thing. like i said we are one and the same
he is the most observant little shit in the world, very just lovers regulus if ykwim. he sees past people masks in seconds. he can tell what peopleās motivations are and what their perspective is. he spends so so so much time people watching
he enjoys studying, though he doesnāt need to (his parents tutors taught him well beyond his schooling ever would) but he loves to study and write notes and figure out why things are the way things are. he is obsessed with finding different ways to make potions. making things more efficient for himself and trying new ways to make a potion.
pandora is his absolute platonic soulmate. they love to just sit with each other and can always understand one another. pandora will listen to him rant endlessly while reading his tarot.
he knows abt rosekiller before barry or evan do. regulus tries to let it play out on its own but those boys are insufferable and codependent and regulus SUFFERS through it
will always like his tea with so much sugar you would think itāll rot his teeth
very very word oriented. he has a list of his favorite words in one of his journals (self projecting but itās fine shhhh)
is obsessed with james. absolutely obsessed with him. even if he presents it as hatred, he just wants that man SO BADLY
and all his friends know it too
so every time he brings james up in conversation his friends collectively mentally facepalm

What Is Lunar Eclipse Bringing In For You!!šš
Hello everybody!!!
I'm back with another pick a pileš„°
I know I'm literally posting it on the DAY of the eclipse, but I got to writing it yesterday only, and with the last pile my laptop literally fell apart.
I completed writing it in class, because...who listens to lectures anywayš¤Ŗ
ANYWHO! Enough chit chat!
Choose whatever pile resonates with you, whatever does not, remember to just pass it onš„°
Pile 1>>2>>3
Enjoy! (Posting it from phone, apologies if the formatting is badš)
Pile 1
Hey there loves! I hope lunar eclipse has treated you well!
For you I saw more of a building your own self sort of a thing. I saw an animation of you know sort of a stick figure thingy, and it was entirely made up of small paper bits, and you were rebuilding yourself again and again by replacing those bits with other bits. I think you guys are constantly figuring out which self is your most authentic self and the one where you are happiest being yourself. Ofcourse, this doesnāt come easy, which is why you are in a constant process.
For your oracle cards, we have
St. Johnās Wort and Marigold: Against your will, there will not be; no entrance, no welcoming. Be Gone.
Witchās Rosary: Craft your skills with intentions repeated, a practice of magick powered by purpose.
Iāll add your tarot cards here only, because I think they make more sense if I read them all together.
Your tarot cards are,
4 of Cups, 3 of Wands, The Fool and The Empress
For all of you, I believe you guys are free to choose, free to welcome whatever you want this lunar eclipse. It is your own decision, whatever path you want to choose, whether it may be your love life, your career, you focusing on your own self, focusing on forming a community for yourself.
I mean the list feels endless. Lunar eclipse is a fated time for things, and for you I feel like whatever you want this time, youāll get it. Like it is up to you to focus on whatever and receive what you are focusing on. I have also heard that you shouldnāt manifest during lunar eclipse, or eclipses in general, but honestly, if you are feeling called to do so, you should listen to that calling.
The oracle cards are also saying that it you who is going to decide, nothing will happen if you donāt want that to happen. Everything is your will. And when you want something, be really really intentional and determined about it. Affirm about the things, sit and visualize those things, journal about them. Like keep that thing in your prayers and your thoughts sort of a thing.
Sit and reflect on what you think is the thing you need and want right now. Be determined but also be open about it like The Fool, open to the possibilities of it happening, especially if it feels like its something impossible. Be really fkn assured that whatever youre choosing to want is for your greatest good and you cannot, and will not fuck it up. Its such a fun energy to be in, because I am honestly extremely scared of eclipses, and I just spend the whole season crying my eyes out. I hope yāall are feeling well, because it seems to me that lunar eclipse isnāt forcing you to focus on one thing and deal with it. It letting you take the wheel and nudging you to take the steps this time, and the eclipse will help you achieve that thing and get that thing.
You might be confused as well, you know, that usually eclipses have a greater impact, but nothing is happening right now kinda thing. If you have something in mind that you wanna focus on, you can also ask for a hint, or even take this reading as a confirmation!
Okay! This is all I have for you today! Thanks for reading <3
Pile 2
Hey there loves! I hope lunar eclipse has treated you well!
For you, I saw a very barn type place, or like a farm-y place. It was very bright, sunny (not the kind where youāre all sweaty ugh), and there was a rainbow! I saw you being very very jolly, like literally sprinting and jumping with excitement and all the people you love, your friends and family were cheering you on from a distance.
Now, for your oracle cards, we have,
Harvest Witch: What sacrifices have you made for the greater vision of what is to be?
Adding your tarot cards here itself, because they give a better picture together,
The High Priestess, 10 of Pentacles, The World, 10 of Cups, 3 of Pentacles and The King of Pentacles
Now, the oracle card is talking about the chances you have taken to get out of your comfort zone, to get out of the habits of the current you, or the old you, in order to reach new heights. How much have you consciously put in the effort to grow and reach the highest of the heights you are supposed to achieve in this lifetime.
Thatās the thing I saw when you were in that barn, that is such a happy version of you, and with the excitement that I saw, it really felt like either you were dreaming about it for a long time, or you just thought that this life was never possible for you.
Even with the tarot cards, they are telling you to follow your intuition, listen to it very closely. I think with the eclipse its calls would be getting louder by the minute, especially if you are missing the signs or outright ignoring the signs.
You are on a path to great success, you are yet to see the World and everything else that it offers, everything that you didnāt think it will offer.
Iām sure many of you might be content with where you are right now as well. But with this opportunity, you will feel content like never before. You know if youāve got rose gold glasses on right now, pursuing this new path will give you ultra 4k HD rose gold glasses. There is a fulfilment you havenāt felt before, and itās gonna come like fresh air to you, like youāve breathed for the first time, like your lungs have felt the cleanest of the air in a long while.
Spirit might be showing you a collaboration or a partnership which is your ticket for this new world. You might be sitting frustrated about everything, and this opportunity will just drop in. Listen to your intuition, if its telling you to go for it, you better go for it. Donāt double guess it, listen to yourself and let your intuition get a breather because I think itās been trying to get your attention for a while now!
Also, I think you might have to travel for this, like actually go some place far, which is why I saw your friends and family at a distance. But donāt worry, they are very happy for you and they are cheering you on, and obviously, you can always come back home for them!!
So get out there and you better enjoy the heck out of life!
Okay! This is all I have for you today! Thanks for reading <3
Pile 3
Hey there loves! I hope lunar eclipse has treated you well!
I saw you making snow angels!! Very happy, healing your inner child sort of a thing (Iāve never made a snow angel and I really really wanna). It also makes me think of leaving an impression, or a lasting imprint. Like you say something to someone and it really sticks with them, or youāve done something that people always remember, even years down the line, they are like āOh you remember [Name] did this amazing thing that time?ā and you are fondly remembered.
It can be a really small act of kindness also that people remember, or youāve helped someone and that memory is you know forever in their hearts kind of a thing.
Okay, so for your oracle cards we have,
Falling Leaves: Let go of the things that weigh heavily on you; you deserve to take up space.
Crow: Pay close attention to the winds; thereās a message making its way.
The first card again tells you to take up space, which is what you do essentially when you are making snow angels! (11:11 pm make a wish~) You take up space, you do your thing, and that is where you create your mark, your identity. It shows that you were there, you existed, you took up your space, youāve marked it as your own.
I also think, because of the snow, that the winter season might be important for you.
Also, with the crow card, you might get an idea, an epiphany sort of a thing from someone else. You know when you are walking and you hear someone else say something and it just clicks for you, that yes! That message was definitely for me. You know literally wind coming up to you with a message, because..soundā¦carries through air.
Oh and crows are also related to ancestors, so it might be that they are contacting you, or telling you something important. Maybe they have some ideas for you to create an impact on this world.
Now for your tarot cards,
Death, 9 of Cups, Ace of Swords, 3 of Pentacles, King of Pentacles and 8 of Pentacles
With all of this pentacle energy, I feel like whatever the eclipse is bringing you right now, its gonna be long term, or its gonna unfold over a long period of time.
There's something you have to let go of, or remove from your life in order to have greater emotional fulfillment. In reference to the snow angel as well, you're healing your inner child by taking up space in the snow, so it's sort of like you have to let go of that part of yourself which inhibits you from pursuing those things, you know that part of you which thinks āno ew its cringeyā because you feel like you'll he judged, but in reality if you go and do that thing, it's gonna literally feel like you're enjoying it from deep within your soul.
The Ace of Swords also tells you that you are going to get a new idea, some sort of epiphany, which can help you in your career and generate alot of wealth for you as well.
You may come up with this idea on your own, and then partner up with someone (King of Pentacles) who already has some expertise in the area, or they have the resources to take your idea to the next level. At this time you might be getting constant downloads of ideas, or you'll be getting opportunities or signs about collaborations or partnerships.
Grab these opportunities with full force, you're gonna have a lot of fun!!!
Okay! This is all I have for you today! Thanks for reading <3

PILE 1
if you're wondering how you can manifest things super quick & easily, you are at the right place!
the answer is: simply by asking and letting go. some methods i'd recommend are the love letter method, or any letter / paper method (specifically anything that has to do with folding paper) for that matter. the 17 second methods and the surrender method.( you can either ask me doubts/questions about this in the comments or search them up on yt)
you are the people that think of the first case scenarios first. y'all overthink sm, which is obv not good. and i'd say that you shouldn't supress those negative thoughts but rather face them. 2 major things for you guys is facing your fears and doubts, 2- letting go and trusting the universe/spirit/god (whatever you believe in) also you guys could resonate with the little mermaid's story.
SURRENDER and LET GO!
ask and surrender. believe in the universe (444) and you've LITERALLY got this.
PILE 2:
Okie so if you're wondering how you can manifest things super quick & easily, you are at the right place!
the angel numbers that you see are not just co incidences, no, nope. they mean something. they are a reminder! they are a sign!!
the way that you guys manifest is through emotions my dear empaths. like even before i started your readings that is something i picked up upon, and if you want to know a litlle more scientific stuff about it then do check out barbara fredrickson's broaden and build theory. that will help you know what i mean. . whatever you feel within is what you attract, so think of good stuff, happiness, celebrate small victories.
some manifestation methods i'd recommend are gratitude, crystal work, green witch kinda stuff? water manifestation (especially sun water) , fake it till you make it, journaling & shadow work.
PILE 3:
hello! if you're wondering how you can manifest things super quick & easily, you are at the right place!
you are my prayer peeps, doesn't have to be very religious but you do believe in the power of prayers or asking the universe.
right off the bat you guys are my socially? "weird" people. the kids that are creative and different. yall are ENTHUSIAISTIC fssss. sm energy,sm passion ong. and the way you can manifest is through directing that energy into the right place. yall seem mis-directed in some way. another way you can manifest is through talking and connecting? writing? something around those llines like sharing your work/thoughts in some way.
i think you guys should read about ancient greek wisdom.
old literature and ancient knowledge will guide you towards an entire new perspective/world.
also calm tf down, like yeah we get it you want to have that thing rn/in a week but calm down my friend, ground yourself. also y'all need to relax & guide your mind it seems veryyy excited. its good but NOOO (its not helping atm)
basically redirection, taking steps, community, sharing knowledge & gaining knowledge, anient related stuff, prayers and staying happy/motivated, being free spirited, working with animals?.
some manifestation methods i'd recommend are vision boards, prayers, ancient manifestation tricks/methods? connecting with people/ sharing your knowledge., having a white pet could be lucky for you. or white is your lucky color and color magick too and taking actual actions/steps!!.
i think that you guys are pretty good at manifesting already, its more like a confirmation? (okay i fucking just realised y'all chose the weird barbie, its so reallll)
lmk your thoughts!!!

What is your advice for someone who can read tarot relatively okay for other people but is trash when it comes to reading for themself? (Cards dont make sense and literally every card is reversed despite careful shuffling to get a healthy mix of both upright and reversed cards)
*hugs* I know that frustration all too well.
Ok, so here are some things I say to everyone where tarot reading is concerned:
It's not just what the cards say, it's what they don't say. A tarot deck works by representing the whole world and all of the various turns and twists of fate people can experience. When Death shows up, but not the Ten of Swords, that's because you're dealing with Death, but not in the form of an ending. Likewise, if the Three of Coins appears and not the Eight, then your experience will reflect financial growth and demonstration of your mastery, rather than the learning of that skillset.
For this reason, I encourage diviners to adopt a different method for reading inversions than "the bad version of this card" or "the opposite." For the latter, there's already a card in the deck for any "opposite" meaning you could come up with. For the former... every card can be bad or good in the right circumstance. For myself, I use a method where the inverted cards are signs that the querent will have difficulty understanding that card, and I should take pains to carefully explain that one, pointing out nuances that might be missed. Generally it means the card is "shadowed," or their own beliefs and views obstruct the truth. Another really good one I read recently is the idea of an upright card being "invoked" and an inverted card being "banished," which is a very interesting perspective. I like the idea of "this card is departing from you, or taking its blessing/curse/experience away."
Those two things I say to everyone, just to clear space. The first really specific piece of advice I'd give to you if you're having trouble reading for yourself is do not add cards. Read what's already there. Take a picture of it, note everything in a journal, and look at it periodically. Focus not on what your feeling is, but what the card means. Do research, look it up in books, especially your own writings on the card if you have them. Seriously, adding too many cards makes the reading even harder to read. "Clarification" cards are a joke.
In addition, check your spread. The spreads we use are how we talk to the world and ask for information. Make sure that when you lay those cards in that pattern, you actually want the information the spread can offer. If you're looking for advice, don't ask a spread that's solely about prediction, that sort of thing.
I'd also suggest you take a look at the deck and see if it really expresses how you experience the world, and then I'd do divination that has nothing to do with your wishes for a while, to see if it can accurately relate the world to you. I wanna be specific here- what I'm talking about here is not how you wish the world was, but rather how you experience the world as it is. The deck is meant to reflect the world as it is, and reveal its secrets to you, and if the deck isn't doing that for you in your readings, you may need to use a different deck, or maybe even a different divination method at all.
If all your cards are coming up inverted all the time, that's a sign. The deck is specifically speaking to you and saying something to you. If it were my own deck, that would be a message that "you ain't gonna get it, so you may as well stop asking." I can't say what that omen means for you, but I would consider it a big one, maybe a step or two above "stalker" cards, and just below the significance of a reading that's more than 80% one suit. If that's the case, I'd ask your cards what they're trying to tell you that you're not getting, and record the answers. For myself, I use three-card combinations for those kinds of specific questions.
If you wanna reach out and talk to me more in depth, I'm definitely available if you wanna come off anon and have a conversation, or you can just send a few more anon asks if that's your comfort level. I hope I helped, one way or another. *hugs*

Intro post
Hello! My name is Frog. Don't ask me why I'm not frogkin, but my name is Frog, I don't know. /silly
If you're coming from my main blog:
Yup, this is the "super secret" otherkin account of @tadpoles-and-daydreams. I decided to make a separate account and blog for dragonkin and dragon work rambles, since... well, to be honest I just wanted to separate my blog for witchcraft writing, tarot, etc. from this. This is a more personal blog in which I mostly reblog and post random little memes and tidbits, heavy UPG, dragon work, and what the hell does it look/feel like finding out your soul is draconic anyway?
And just in case: if you're coming from my main blog and are unfamiliar with any of the shit I'm talking about here in terms of otherkinity, dragonkin, being a dragon- please feel free to send in asks. I plan on writing more in-depth in a bigger post about what it is, what it's like, how I found out about it, etc. etc. but that will take a lot of time and energy that I currently don't have. Further down, though, I give the best TL;DR I can!
If you have no clue what the fuck the main blog is:
I talk about my experiences as a witch and meme about the funny side of witchcraft over there. Go there and check out my tarot readings if you want a dragon to throw some cards at you, or if you want to hear more about my craft outside of dragon work! I write a lot as a witch over there so if you like my witchy posts here, it's worth checking out.
He/him pronouns
Trans, panromantic, polyamorous, just generally queer

My special interests include: Writing, Genshin Impact (I don't associate with most of the fandom they scare me), music, anime, the ocean, and "weird miscellaneous facts."
Dragonkin, specifically an amphitere.
local funny little witch man, I work with primarily with my deities and dragons and get bullied by a deck of cards a lot.
My familiar- though I hesitate to use that word due to its connotations as an "assistant" rather than a partner in my practice- is the one who kickstarted this by implying my energies were draconic in nature.
For everyone, regardless of how you found me:
This is where I plan to blog about my experiences when it comes to working with dragons, and fucking being one apparently. I want a safe space to write about my experiences, no matter how much I change. I feel like I've only dipped my toes into a vast ocean, a whole new aspect of my identity and my craft. I decided that I wanted to be able to write completely transparently about it- fears, mistakes, flaws and all- without it reflecting majorly on my main blog/my professionalism as a tarot reader who's just starting out.
So expect it all; the funny, the cool as fuck, the ranty posts, everything. This is just as much a tumblr blog as it is a journal, for me. I heavily value transparency, and that's something I can't be in public as an otherkin.
So I'll do it here instead. ^-^
Important posts:
A post I plan to update continuously of everything I know about my kintype:
The current closest reference I have for what I look like as a dragon, although admittedly not fully accurate:
#otherkin#dragonkin#amphitere#amphitere kin#alterhuman#otherkinity#nonhuman#therian#??? is it rude to use that tag too I'm not therian but it's related to therian stuff#idk I'll leave it there and then if someone comes for my throat I'll change it#therianthropy#alterhuman community#otherkin blog#otherkin community

āļøSUNSHINE ASTEROID - 3742š«
Disclaimer:
I DO NOT PLAGIARIZE, COPY OR REWORD ANY OF MY FELLOW ASTROLOGY OBSERVERS POSTS AND I DEMAND THE SAME IN RETURN
Today we'll be talking about asteroid āļøSUNSHINE~
This asteroid helps you learn the ways to overcome your seasonal depression by checking the sign, house, and degree in which it is placed along with checking the aspects its making with planets and where the aspected planets are seated to see what you could do to make yourself happy.
I'm using my sunshine placement as an example for your better understanding. Here we go!š«šš»
I have sunshine in aquarius at 16Ā° in the 11th house. The asteroid aspects are
Conjunct neptune in 11th house
Conjunct chiron in 11th house
Opposition saturn in 5th house
Sextile jupiter in 9th house
Okay, let's go with the placements :-
Sunshine in aquarius and 11th house could mean making friends, surfing online to distract myself, also maybe watching movies, Netflix, Amazon prime your phone, tab, computer, or even TV . Anything techno can help amazinglyš
Sunshine at 16Ā° (cancer degree) - this could mean cooking, cleaning my house space and baking can help me. Also I'm getting you know, having a nice bubble bath in the tub, just playing with water or taking a nice shower bath
now let's go with the aspects :-
#3742 is sextile jupiter. Learning and travelling can really help me freshen up. Even exploring new things can help me forget old stuff from bothering me, making me feel better or occupied. This also adds on cuz my jupiter is in 9th house
#3742 opposition saturn. Okay, this can be a bit confusing. Saturn has got to do with authority, strictness, limitations and My saturn is in the 5th house. Sunshine- saturn says that I would probably need to stop stressing/being tensed about everything and freshen up. Like I said before, The house ur planet is in also depends on the result so I might need to freshen up and do something creative(5th house), like this can also be about entertainment and self-expression. Again here, I need to watch happy, comedy movies or even movies/shows meant for kids or the ones I watched when I was a child. Also maybe Journaling, writing my feelings down in a diary can help.
#3742 conjunct neptune. Involving myself into spiritual activities, exploring about the occult world can really heal me. Anything spiritual like reiki, tarot, aura reading and cleansing, crystals, astrology, runes, witchcraft can help me heal when I learn about them.
#3742 conjunct chiron. I have a strong feeling that getting into shadow work will help me so so much because chiron is the wounded healer and shadow work is all about connecting with the dark part of yourself. It's just like the right piece to my puzzle. Getting into shadow work will help me so much because shadow work is meant for healing and connecting with your dark side.
Hope you all enjoyed reading this post!š Feel free to reblog and tag me when you doš«ā¤
Have a great day ahead!š
PS : thankyou so much for the support I have been receiving recently. i am so grateful to my dear readers. Love you all!šš½

hello this is more about tarot but how you do get into it? Honestly your posts made me so interested but I donāt even know the first step myself š„²
Hey:) I'm very happy there's interest in that as I've been actually contemplating about making educational content or even a course or something, sometime in the futureš
A few basic tips from me would be:
1. buy yourself a deck you resonate with (doesnt have to be the rider waite tarot)
2. watch readings on youtube from readers u resonate with. The practice of choosing the right pile itself is a good beginner exercise.
3. journaling, shadow work, meditation, writing in general all are very good exercises to calm your brain down and tap more into your heart and be able to feel the finer aspects of life. Also to get to know yourself and your energy better - that way you can pick up easier on things that don't belong to you (others energy during readings)
4. learn the basics of tarot like each suit (the elements), major & minor arcana, the journey of the cards, the meaning / symbolism of every card. Knowledge in numerology and astrology also would be very helpful.
5. despite tip 4, don't focus all too much on the meaning and let your intuition work too. If you focus and obsess over the traditional meaning of each card you will be doing the reading with your head instead of your heart. And i believe the best readings come from the heart cuz they're the most pure and genuine.
6. Take every reading with a grain of salt. No matter who does it. If its you or another experienced reader. Energy is maluable and what was said today, might've been true for today, but may not be true for tomorrow. If you obsess over the readings or get paranoid or let any other toxicity infiltrate your headspace regarding the readings/topic - they won't come out pure. Meaning your intuition will be dampened by the paranoia for example and since tarot works with your own energy, u'll be attracting cards that reflect that. And then your brain will use them to affirm to your paranoia - or whatever other bias you're having. Its very important to have a pure and relaxed energy when you read so nothing interferes with the process. This is done with lots of self work or if you're generally gifted with a personality/energy like that (i think i.n could be a great reader if he triedši just had to mention him)

Online grimoire/journal, page No. 1 (probably more than that but its been years. Let's call it page one).
Getting to know my tarot deck/reintroducing myself to the community.
(In this post I write briefly about not feeling like I'm in tune with my practice, or myself at all, and then I get into my interview with my "new" tarot deck. If you just want to see the interview, keep scrolling until you see "The Interview". I think a more journal-style grimoire is the direction my posts might go. I don't see a lot of people talking about their shortcomings in this community, or maybe I just don't follow the right people who do. I used to be super active in this community, 1k followers who actually kind of cared and interacted with me on tumblr and discord. I did online readings, made posts about spells I've done, things like that. Well this isn't going to be like that. This is for me. If you feel as though you're lacking/want to get back into your practice, I feel the same. You can come with me on this journey and follow, or you can just read this and go about your day, or you can scroll right past it without giving it a thought, anything you choose to do is ok! I might share personal things on this blog. Not super personal, they will all be related to witchcraft, but instead of giving other's advice I'm going to be writing down my practices, tarot card readings, and everything else as a reference for myself. If that type of journey interests you, I implore you to give a follow and come along. Maybe if I know people are interested in that style of blog, it might motivate me to do it more lol. Thanks.)
I don't really read tarot...In fact I don't even think I can call myself a practicing witch. I've been on and off for just a little under a decade. Sounds like a long time when I say it like that, and I know so many things but I'm also still beginning my journey. CONSTANTLY beginning the same journey over and over again, it feels like.
Anyways, I got a new tarot deck probably two or three years ago...I actually got 3 new decks at the same time, and I've really only sort of used one. I've felt bad about it for a while. They just sit there collecting dust. For some reason, I was feeling drawn to this deck in particular and decided to go ahead and try my hand at getting to know the deck. Needless to say, it was a very insightful "interview" if you can even call it that. I wrote small passages in my notebook, but I wanted to type here to get my thoughts out. This might be long, you don't have to read it, I'm sort of more doing it for me...as a journal entry type thing I guess, but also as a reference to my interview with the deck so I have a more detailed version of it than just what's in my notebook. I just didn't want to use up more notebook that I needed to.
Before The Interview
Deck: The Antique Anatomy Tarot Deck
Why I bought it: I was intrigued by the name and the art style. It's beige which I like, and I love bones and antique type things so I figured hey why not.
Why I was drawn to it today: Recently I've been thinking about things I can do to help better myself. Growth wise. It's more about me and less about coming back into my practice. I have a couple decks that I thought about but none of them seemed right. Until, DUH! Antique Anatomy. It's literally focusing on the self, and not just the outer self but LITERALLY the inner self as well. That seemed helpful.
I started by cleansing it with incense smoke. I didn't do anything in particular, just held it over an incense stick that was already burning and talked to it a little.
Then, I looked at the cards. Actually looked at them. Took mental note of the colors being used, what bones were on which card, what the labels on the elixir cards said, what flowers were used in the art (if I was able to identify them by eye), how many of each flower/certain things were on the cards. I looked at EVERYTHING.
And Now, The Good Stuff. (there are 6 questions, in each one I'll include the card pulled, the zodiac sign/element related to it, numbers such as the number of the card or how many of a specific thing were on the card, and colors used on the card. I'll include key words that relate to all of those things, and then lastly I'll include my interpretation for each one.)
The Interview
Please Introduce Yourself.
Death: Scorpio - 3 - 4 - 6 - Red - Black
Key words: Stability, fairness, solution, growth, regeneration, passion, love, power, pain, necessary, emotional.
My interpretation: When I flipped the card, I literally said "how did I know it was going to be death?". I was thinking it to myself as a joke, but then I flipped it and BOOM. Death. That's alright, though. Also I find it interesting the deck showed me a Scorpio card as an introduction. I'm a Virgo, and I love/hate Scorpios. They have taught me so much, some have damaged me, some have loved me endlessly, and currently I'm in a relationship with a Scorpio. Very prevalent sign in my life. I think by introducing itself with this card, it's telling me that it is an emotional and powerful deck. It sees itself as necessary, powerful, un-biased, but at the same time also very passionate, loving, and may even acknowledge that it might sometimes tell me things I don't want to hear. It also seems to be good at helping people explore their shadow, which is interesting because that's actually something I've been doing recently, witchcraft aside.
2. What are your strengths?
7 of Rods: Fire - 5 - 7 - Yellow - Orange
Key words: Evaluation, patience, conflict, perspective, determined, optimistic, growth, success, does not give up in the face of adversity, experienced warrior.
My interpretation: By showing me the 7 of rods in response to what the deck's strengths are, I think it's telling me that it's main strengths are focused around personal growth, which I guess makes sense. It's telling me that no matter how hard it gets, or how often or little I use it, it has the patience and determination to still help me through whatever I may need guidance on. That's very kind, thank you deck. It's also telling me that it knows and has seen a lot, which I don't doubt at all. By just sitting on my shelves, it has seen me through heartache, love, sickness, new jobs, new homes, depression, happiness, tears I've cried and why I've cried them, it has seen every part of me. It has perspective that maybe I don't, and it's optimistic that we can work together to better myself.
3. What are your limitations?
Strength: Leo - 6 - 8 - Red
Key words: Control, artistic expression, ego, anger, passion, values, understanding, calm demeanor, quiet resolve, understanding.
My interpretation: Okay this one was really interesting and sort of seems like the deck pulled a "my biggest weakness is that I'm too passionate about my work!" on me, but let's see if I can make some sense out of it. By showing me Strength in response to what the deck's limitations are, I believe it's trying to tell me that it does find itself a little big-headed or mainstream in a sense. Just looking at the key word "artistic expression" makes me think it's telling me to try to look further than just the colors and numbers on the cards, because maybe what the artist is trying to express isn't precisely going to align with what I need to hear, but the deck can't express that? Some other limitations it may be trying to express is that it's not going to be quiet about things. Besides maybe sometimes having to dig past the art for guidance, it's not going to sugarcoat or hold my hand. As much as it will support and have patience for me, that doesn't mean it's going to baby me. I appreciate that.
4. What can I learn from you?
Page of Coins: Earth - 6 - Blue - Purple
Key words: Fairness, values, orderly, determined, calm, peace, grief, sadness, prophecy, dreams, high power, studious, diligent, introvert, misses out on lighthearted aspects of life, buckle down, study, money, creativity.
My interpretation: I think by showing me the page of coins in response to what I can learn from the deck, it's telling me that I can learn how to be more in tune with myself, emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually. It's telling me that I can learn to dig into myself (and perhaps my shadow?) to find out more about myself. It's telling me it can show me how to interpret my dreams better, it can help me stay more focused, and potentially even help me connect with a something higher than myself again. All of this seems essential for my own personal growth, and if I can learn that from this deck then I would love to work more with it.
5. What is the best way to work with you?
2 of Coins: Earth - 2 - Yellow - Purple
Key words: Balance, duality, opposing forces, orderly, determined, optimism, growth, prophecy, dreams, higher power, harmony, over-indulgence, stagnant, creative solutions.
My interpretation: By showing me the 2 of coins in response to the best way to work with the deck, I think it's telling me a couple ways, both deck and user focused. One thing it's telling me is that it might work better with a higher power also helping? I don't exactly have one I guess...I love Aphrodite and have had altars for her in the past, and still consider her my patron Goddess but it's been so long. I'd have to rekindle that relationship and I don't know if I'm ready for that right now. It also seems to be telling me that it can work better by helping interpret my dreams, too? I've never considered using a tarot deck as a dream interpreter, but I do get prophetic dreams in a sense and I take my dreams very seriously, so maybe that's something to consider. I think it's also telling me that the best way to work with it is to stop over indulging myself in things that aren't good for my mental or physical health, which makes sense. How can one effectively get guidance when they aren't in the right state of mind or physical well-being? All in all, I think that the most important thing it's trying to tell me is that no matter what I may or may not do, we can work well together if I stay optimistic and determined to grow. If I ever stop having the motivation to better myself, then it doesn't think it can do much for me.
6. What is the outcome of our relationship?
Knight of Elixirs: Water - 4 - Purple
Key words: Stability, foundation, nurturing, caring, mystery, prophecy, dreams, high power, luxury, expansion, growth, loving, appreciate beautiful things, affectionate disposition, finding ideal partner.
My interpretation: By showing me this card in response to the outcome of our relationship, I think it's telling me that I'll be able to have a little bit more routine and stability in my everyday life. I think it's also telling me I'll be able to connect with my subconscious mind more, as well as my softer emotions such as nurturing, caring, and loving. It can help me appreciate smaller things in life instead of always looking at the bigger picture. By "finding the ideal partner" I think the deck means that it can help me find things in everyday life that will help with my personal growth. Ideal things to interact with and love besides literally the people and animals I love.
Very insightful. If you got through this whole thing, thanks for reading. I'm going to post a bit more frequently and hopefully that will actually help me gain the motivation to do this stuff more than just once every 6 months. I think it's essential for my personal growth, and for some reason I'm really obsessed with that right now but I lack the time and motivation. I don't actually lack time, but things are hard when you wake up late and you feel like every day is sleep, work, maybe eat, sleep, repeat. Here's to hoping this is the beginning of a new chapter for me.

Diviners: what are you reading
Fortune tellers, diviners, tarotists, astrologers, geomancers, bones-throwers, rune-readers... what are you reading??
Iāve heard tell, recently, of someone who got a reading from a Tarot card reader. The client came in with questions about their business.... and the Tarot card reader answered with advice about the gods and spirits, and connecting with the ancestors. Ā They talked in numbers of disks and singular swords, and emperors and Devils.
Umm.
My friend was bewildered. And angry to be out $45. Ā And lacked advice ā actionable advice ā about how to manage a deteriorating relationship with a business partner.
OK, I get it ā I myself have shelves that are bending and sloping under the weight of tarot card decks and books about astrology. Ā I have piles of workbooks and guides to being a better astrologer. And Iām certainly interested in gods and myths and legends of spirits, and how to do magic to make them help you get what you want. Ā If youāre anything like me, THATās on your bookshelves, too.
BUT.
I read eight to ten books about business ā about sales, about administration, about marketing and advertising, about business design ā every year. Ā I read two or three biographies of historical persons (partly to pick them apart for astrological purposes, partly because real people are interesting). Ā I read five to six books about magic, because you have to keep your skills and techniques up-to-date, and know whether or not youāre doing stuff right. Ā I read three or four books about history (ancient and modern) to have examples to draw on in consultations with clients. Ā I read four or five how-to books (and devour YouTube educational content) on sewing, embroidery, woodworking, and more, every year. Ā As my parents (and I) age, Iām reading more books about health and medicine, too.
And because Iām cis-, and white, and straight, and male, I read books by and about and for women, queer people, women of color, men of color. Ā I read books by non-Americans, too, and try to get a sense of the world beyond my state and nation: geopolitics, the economics of South America, the logistics routes that make T-shirts and jeans in the US possible. Ā
In ancient times, the laws of the city of Delphi, home of the most famous oracle in the Mediterranean, simply required that only a woman could sit on the tripod in the adyton and prophesy. Ā By the Classical era, it was required that she be a married woman with children, in her fourth decade ā someone who knew something of the world, and knew its pitfalls and challenges, as well as its opportunities.Ā
Please donāt get me wrong ā if youāre nineteen, or fifteen, and starting to learn a form of fortune-telling or divination, thatās fine. Ā You donāt have to be married and in your forties to start. Ā You donāt even have to wait for someone to give you a tarot deck or a pack of runes. Ā
But PLEASE āwiden the horizon of whatās valuable knowledge for a diviner. Itās not just the official meanings of the cards in the little white book. Ā Itās ALL the other reading and information youāre carrying around in your brain: the things you learned in summer camp about making Friendship Bracelets and the class about computer programming; the obsessive binge-watching of every documentary about China you could find; the map you drew in your journal in math class of who was kissing whom; the lemonade stand you ran with your cousin during the family reunion; the book you borrowed from the library about how to write a novel. Ā Fortune-telling, divination, is a weird method for deciding what information you carry around in your head is relevant to a given conversation with a client or a friend. Ā ButĀ feed that head. Ā Locked up inside that head is a treasure-house of experiences, and the more you put in there, the more that you will be able to unfold to a client in the course of a consultation.

My message as a crusty and incredibly poor witch:
You don't have to buy all that stuff! You don't need three different books to keep witch notes in! Your altar doesn't need all the fancy trimmings from the metaphysical store I promise!
I know that's like, a no brainer and most witchy pages and resources will tell you that, but it bears repeating cause I keep seeing "witchcraft shopping hauls" from new witches and it makes me wanna gag, it serves so much capitalism I hate it. So I'm gonna give my two cents on having an affordable and sustainable practice. Today's post will be about magical notebooks, and I'll probably write other posts about things like spell ingredients and tools, and I definitely wanna do a whole one about witchcraft books. Content warning, I explicitly advocate theft among other things.
I have an incredibly loosey-goosey practice, it's 100% vibes based most of the time and 80% when it's not. I keep a journal and it's full of songs I've written, correspondences and spells I'm workshopping (love going back and taking notes on how it worked out), tarot readings, adventures I've had, stories I've written, photos and drawings and stuff (my favorite is my staff badge from when I sold fireworks). It's very personal and goes everywhere with me, so it's full of my own energy. My journals are hardcover sketch journals I liberate from the local big box, but they can be anything you write in, or even a note document on your phone (though it's hard to press a cool leaf in your phone). I actually think it's incredibly important to meld your mundane and magical journaling, because it emphasizes that one's practice isn't just a Thing You Do Sometimes, it's a way of living and interacting with the world.
Whenever I remember, I go and put my spells, correspondences, and tarot spreads I feel I've got a good grasp of in a second journal that lives on my shelf. Its purpose is a reference, as opposed to the journalistic nature of my, well, journals. This one was a gift from a friend, a beautiful handmade tome with heavy paper, but again it can be anything you can store writings in; if I didn't have it I'd probably just steal another sketchbook. I write in this one with a quill I found at an antique shop (tips are cheap enough online or steal em from Hobby Lobby, I always advocate theft from corporations) and ink I make from blackberries I forage (storebought is fine, of course, and alum is in the spice aisle of the grocery). That's where my spells live once I feel like I've ironed them out well. I probably do this about once a month, I try to do it during the New Moon, as it has correspondences of creativity and new things, but sometimes it's just when I remember.
You don't gotta buy special journals for stuff, it doesn't have to be a fancy handcrafted leather-bound ordeal, you don't have to have separate books for your mundane and magical musings (everything is magical once you open your eyes to it). It's your practice and as long as you're doing things with intention and respect to the natural world, as long as you're learning about the world around you and appreciating magic in all its forms, you're doing it right.
Blessed be and up the punx, y'all~

uhh hi welcome to my blog :)
ā¢ iām claiming this lil corner of the internet to immortalize the silly little things i do to get through living. not sure about the structure yet, but weāll figure it out as we go i guess (pls note the title of this āepisodeā) ā¢
some things about me:
iām transmasc non-binary & use they/them pronouns š¤
my queerness is pretty much my entire personality
iām mentally ill & iām on drugs
i have a very mean dog who is the light of my life
āāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāā
on to the blog part:
since itās the beginning of august, i thought itād be fun to talk about the lil things i do when a new month starts.
reading challenges & goals
iām a big reader, so i always look forward to refreshing my reading challenges & setting new goals each month!
i use storygraph (truly a game changing app for meā i canāt sing its praises enough) to log what iāve read, my tbr, and my challenges/goals. thereās a really great blogger i found through the app (booksare42) (a hitchhikers guide to the galaxy reference that warms my soul), and they host a monthly tbr tackle challenge that includes 5 prompts usually based on canadaās international holidays.
i also have a couple reading challenges of my own, but only one that i update monthly. iām a big fan of randomizing things thanks to my neurospicy big sis & all our games of neurotic barbies (more on that another day), so i made a randomized reading challenge. i use random (another great app i swear by) to get:
a letter ā i have to read a book beginning with the letter i spin
a genre ā self explanatory
a number (5-10) ā # books to read
so far iāve completed all of my monthly challenges, which always gives me a lil dose of dopamine :)
tarot
iām relatively new to tarot & it never ceases to amaze me. at the beginning of the year, i did a 12 month spread that i reflect on at the beginning of each month. i really appreciate the insightā plus itās like a lil hereās-what-to-expect treat :)
for the 8th month, i drew the king of wands. the themes of this card are āleader, visionary, intentionalā and the guidebook suggested that i write all my ideas & dreams in a journal. i really love this idea bc i have so many plans and projects floating inside my head and in my note app, and having a complete & organized tangible list will be such a relief for my very loud inner monologue.
p.s. i use the queer tarot deck by ash & chess and OMG i love it!! i live by the guide book (all of the card interpretations and spread ideas are queer-centered, and itās super helpful & accessible to folks new to tarot). not to mention the art is absolutely stunningā each card features a queer model (and the guide book lists their names & pronouns!!) it rly is just a lil deck of queer joy š
āāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāā
cool things of the week
ā¢ this is the segment where i tell you about some cool things iāve been enjoying this week ā¢
song: casual, chappell roan
chappell has captured the hearts of just about everyone and good for her!! we stan chappell in this house, and iāve had casual on repeat all week. itās a staple of a new playlist iām working on. speaking of playlistsā
playlist: soundtrack to my bipolar ii
i blasted this playlist through my car radio at least once every day during the past week, and i canāt blame meā itās great ;) itās full of songs that make me āØfeelāØ but thereās not a singular moodā itās all over the place, like my bipolar cycle
ā¢ my phone is being dumb rn but iāll update with the link when it gets it shit together ā¢
book: the dark matter of mona starr by laura lee gulledge
hereās my review on storygraph, bc it sums up my thoughts:
needless to say, i loved it
thing: gift basket from me to me
iāve recently discovered that one of the best ways to love myself is with my own love languageā gifts. i prepared a gift basket for myself the way i would for a friend, and i waited a few days to āgiveļæ½ļæ½ļæ½ it to myself so it would be a treat after a long work week :)
gift basket contents:
cute lil bag of purse essentials, including travel hand sanitizer, lotion, & tissues and a tide pen
coupon for a free donut
set of micron pens
journal that i decorated with stickers
cute lil hardback spiral notepad
paperback notepad (i painted the cover!)
l.e.d. lights for my room (i put them up today & my soul is singing)
pink fuzzy socks ft dogs
handmade card w/ a sweet lil note
catstrology by luna malcolm (dollar tree find that is essentially a book of astrology cat memes and i love it)
rings (i immediately broke one them so that was cool)
choco chip cookies :))ļæ¼
āāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāā
thatās all folks
well, dear reader (if youāre out there), i hope you enjoyed the first episode of 24carrot corner :) iām not entirely sure what next weekās post will look like bc of the aforementioned idk-what-iām-doing thing, but hey, planning ahead is for losers anyway
pretty pls be nice to yourself in the coming week š¤ youāre stuck with you so might as well, right?
k bye

a journal entry from a distant past
what are my goals? i feel myself in this state of transformation. can i truly live with no life goals? do i have to be working towards something all the timeā¦ that sounds exhausting. right now im chilling. getting high. living in the present. that sounds good to me. i think im discounting myself. ive been learning more about tarot and astrology. i want to be immersed in those. i want to learn about what we cant see. i am waiting for the right opportunity for me, but how will i know that opportunity is right if i have no goal in mind? well, first off, i do have a goal in mind - comfortability. secondly, im literally just playing devils advocate with myself. im gonna use my fucking intuition to understand if a decision is right for me or not. fucking duh. what am i talking about. i guess i had to write this out to feel better. why am i worried about having no goals? i guess i had the thought that if i had no goals in life, then my life is pointless. is that true? i dont know. it was just a thoughtā¦ let me try to philophosize this real quick. if someone has no goals in lifeā¦ maybe theyre just there to observe. observe the happenings of the world. how can certain lives be pointless and others significant? exactly. every life has the same amount of significance. were all here for a reason. well. i guess we are here to do different things, accomplish different tasks. but are those tasks on a ranking of importance? i want to think not. i dont think i think that. haha. im unsure. okay i just thought a little bit and im pretty sure there is no ranking, that we are of equal importance. yes. unless the universe is unfair or somethingā¦ and i feel like the only unfair thing is humans. like were fucked up fr. oof this candle has been burning for too long and i have a headache now. well. this process is going to be long and drawn out. i look forward to see how i come out of it. i wonder if this is a collective happening throughout the world, or if its because of my age, or my birthchart, or if its just me. hm. i have to shit ill b back.
is it time to indulge? time to reflect and confront? or time to learn? the answerā¦ do what you feel like doing. if you have any feeling like you dont feel like doing somethingā¦ dont do it. yeah. simple as that. sometimes i forget, and thats understandable. your mindset is changing. change is not linear. its okay. i love you. i love me. do what you feel like doing. my two options are jack off, or read. mmm i feel like jacking off lol. thats what i mean thoughā¦ is there a point where indulgence gets to be too much? and then i think, why are you worrying about that? just enjoy your life. stop worrying about whether something is good or bad, because youre thinking too much. using your head too much. not using your body enough. listen to your body more than your mind. when you start to thinking about whether youre getting too indulgent, youre limiting yourself, and your overthinking about things that do. not. matter. it doesnt matter. you do what you feel you should do. not what you think. your thoughts are influenced by your environment. your body is your body. bitch if yo coochie tingling play with it. if you feel like getting high then get high. if u feel like watching tv or doing nothing, then do that. dont feel bad. what the fuck. thats what other people have conditioned you to think. why would you feel bad about doing stuff that makes you feel good. stop that. i love you. who am i talking to? i feel like theres another person in my mind. ive always felt like thatā¦ always have conversations with myself. i think thats a good thing. always the devils advocate, seeing different perspectives within myself. i wonder where it comes from. is it me talking to myself? is it just me replacing the person who i would want to tell me these things? maybe. maybe. sun in my twelfth house.. i keep thinking that has something to do with it. sense of self is hidden. maybe me conversing with myself is that sense of self coming out of its hiding spot. im discovering myself, instead of just being a product of my environment. its me. its just me. its just been hidden. yes. hello. we are going to be friends. is it mental illness or a spiritual awakening lol. that was a joke. a meme i saw earlier. well. what a realization. i am curious to see this sense of self more in the future. hm. taking notes on the computer is so much easier because i type much faster than i write, however i am concerned about the digital aspect. im getting a hard drive soon. bye now.

Hello- sliding in with some creator-based questions! 1. How long do you spend on research for shows? Is it all done at the very beginning or more search for things when you need to?
2. How do you get more comfortable and confident writing longer monologues without feeling like you've lost a listener's attention? Is it in the background sound? Is it in long and fancy words? Hope the real-life horrors aren't consuming your whole soul! - Cry MJ
Hi!!! These are great Qs thanks for asking!!!
Research for stuff is really on going and developing as I make a project. I spend a significant chunk of time at the very beginning of a project reading around the subject areas involved to try to get a sense of whether or not it's something that will be able to hold my interest over a long period of time. Show making, as you know, means you're living with your project for hundreds of hours. It's every bit as big of a commitment as writing a novel, and more of one, if it's a multiseason show. It's kind of like compatility in relationships; you gotta scope out whether or not you're going to work out long-term at the beginning, and a good way to do that is research. Second to this, though, most of my shows are about something I'm coming in with a high base amount of knowledge of in one way or another. I read medical journals for fun, for example, so research for NQD is just building on existing knowledge and stuff. Sometimes there will be a specific area of interest I need to swot up in, like tarot for SBR. Research for shows very much on-going and grows along with the project.
2. I actually really struggle to recognise my work as being any good despite reassurannce from others. Instead, I dedicate huge amounts of time to practicing my craft. Writing is one of those things where the best way to improve is to do. It may not necessarily make you more confident, but it might help you find a loophole to bypass the self-doubt, which is what I find. Whilst I can't trust that my work is good, I CAN trust that I've definitely put the hours in to making it as good as I can personally make it, and that's usually enough to get me over the hump. Trust your audience, too; they have tuned into your show bc they like it, most of the time. You aren't holding them hostage. If they don't like the thing, that's fine, they'll just leave! Someone else WILL like it. Make the thing for them, instead. Another thing is to trust the characters. Why are they speaking this long in this way, uninterrupted? It's usually because they have something important or extremely interesting to say so let them speak! Sometimes, shy, reclusive characters will break up a monologue with hedging phrases, saying 'if that makes sense' or 'you know' to solicit feedback from their audience, whoever the audience is. It can be a good trick for a nervous writer worrying their Big Speech is overstaying its welcome. In short; make sure your monologues are in character, trust that you as a writer have done the work and are good at what you do, and trust that the audience who will enjoy your character's 4 minute rant about dead plants will come along and when they do, they'll love it so so much.
I hope this was interesting and helpful!! --- Eira xxxx

hi! im mae!
well, my name is actually macey... but i like to go by mae online. i don't really care if you call me either. i thought id make a little intro post given i recently created this blog (it is actually a copy of an older one, but i wanted a fresh start).
my bio states most of it, i am 21 years old, i live in the united states, i identify as female, those are pretty much the basics. i consider myself a bit of a hobby collector and a gullible hyperfixater. some of my main hobbies include but are not necessarily limited to:
photography (i adore film, but due to no access to a darkroom anymore, i am primarily digital)
reading (mainly fiction, romance, fantasy, although i do enjoy an article concerning my special interests or mental health)
music (i play guitar, uke, and bass, as well as write my own music and lyrics, im a subpar vocalist though)
music listener (i am very passionate about the music i listen to, if it has resonating lyrics, i will listen to it, some of my favorite artists are mcr, coldplay, billie eilish (altho i think shes been a little iffy lately), eminem, $uicideboy$, brand new, and lana del rey)
crochet (mainly clothing, bags, and plushies)
doodling (i used to want to pursue art career wise, however was very burnt out and scarred by art teachers in high school and decided i couldn't use that for grades or income)
journaling (this is my most recent hobby picked up, however I've stuck with it decently strictly for over a month now and i am adoring it)
cd collecting (this is a passive hobby for me due to costs of CDs and a general life on spotify, however i do love collecting my favorite albums)
tarot and crystals (this is another passive hobby for me. i do not consistently practice tarot nor crystal meditation, however, if given the time and inspiration i will practice them. i wish i was more consistent, but i find these two to be moderately daunting)
I am currently pursuing an ASD diagnosis and am working with a clinic and insurance on finalizing testing, if anyone has gone through this process you know just how exhausting it is. I am diagnosed with ADHD. I believe these two things to be the driving forces in why i am the way i am and if not who i am. i strongly dislike statements such as "you are not your diagnosis" or "its just in your head." i am my diagnosis. it affects all aspects of my life. invalidating or denying that is invalidating me and ignoring a majority of my life and struggles. regardless, i may update here on how that whole process is going, tips i learn along the way, or further revelations that may occur during said process.
that being said i am a huge fidget toy enthusiast and am always looking for new fidget recommendations, i adore tangles, and these little edamame poppers, but id like to have more one-handed quiet fidgets.
some of my special interests are:
mental health and some disorders, i generally love learning how our brains work, both neurotypically and neuro-divergently
currently journaling its my main special interest and i adore looking for new spreads (ik a hobby sh)
crocheting (ik another hobby)
whales and whale sharks!!
collecting things, such as yarn, books, stickers, games, candles, skincare, and makeup (ngl most of it is purely collection)
japanese culture and foooooood
the northern lights
lake superior (i have always loved her and spent a year living a 15min walk from her)
i am a university student as well as working part-time, so the amount of activity on this page may not be consistent, as i already have an ever-changing life with variability in intensity from week to week.
i finally think that is all. if any of this resonates with you, maybe consider following! id love to have you as a mutual if we are alike, and i definitely do not consider myself someone to have many friends, i certainly do not have a best friend, so i am always open to chatting with new people :)
