For Halloween the miniatures tell scary stories. it starts off with the romans making up stories using mythological creatures but the cowboys (especially jed he supposedly spent alot of time in the appalachian area in real life) start telling stories of cryptids they've encountered skin walkers, Bigfoot, la Lorona. Things of that sort and the romans just think those are their myths, until jed and octavius are hanging out and octavius asks about how they made up those stories and jed just like, "we uh we didnt?" And octavius is mildly horrified

guy who's stuck in a timeloop for so long he stops wanting to leave it. guy who started out trying to escape but slowly grew used to and became comforted by the familiarity of the repeating day. guy who is no longer who he was before the timeloop. guy who is offered a way out and violently refuses it because he can't leave, doesn't want to leave. guy who escapes the timeloop by chance or force or accident and doesn't know how to live anymore. guy who keeps going through motions that don't match the situation and keeps having conversations that aren't actually occurring. guy who panics every time he realizes he can't predict the next instant. guy who left the timeloop but still lives with it.

Ok wait now that there's the episode out I need to remind people that the Skyfish

is based off an "actual" thing in cryptozoology; also called "rods," and they're supposedly some kind of entity that shows up in photos (and we all know they're just bugs or other flying animals moving too fast for the camera's exposure time)

And I think that's neat. They've been one of my favorite cryptids for years so my excitement to see such a deep cut in Dungeon Meshi was beyond comparison

Love when the Justice League thinks Batman is a cryptid. This believe is only further enhanced by the face his sidekick, Robin, is clearly a shapeshifter, what with changing their height, hair style, skin tone, and even gender.

Batman clearly thinks that by having Robin look different every couple of years, it will show that they aren't cryptids like it would if Robin didn't age.

But the Justice League is too smart for that. They figured it out! But they are good friends (colleagues) and won't spill Batman's secret, but they will drop hints to him that they know, to show that they are smarter than he gives them credit for (they aren't.)

When the batkids learn that the league thinks this, they start periodically going to the Watchtower with Bruce, taking turns dressed up as Robin.

The League is surprised as Robin seems to prefer taking the form of a child, perhaps to have villains underestimate them? But they just assume Robin is trying out something new.

The batkids definitely tell eachother about what was said/happened as to further sell the act of Robin being a shapeshifter, because clearly it has to be the same person, Robin knows what happened, so it couldn't of been someone else dressed as Robin.
