The Blue Bar, Novotel Hotel Dubai World Trade Centre

A stylish bar at the Novotel Hotel, in the Dubai World Trade Centre offering amazing cocktails, wine, delicious bar snacks, live music jazz & blues on weekends.

Looking for a great spot for live music with a laidback vibe? Blue Bar is located in Novotel in the World Trade Centre. As soon as you enter, there is a change in ambiance from the hustle and bustle of the hotel. It’s dark but the stage was exceptionally lit, the bar is small yet cozy. We were sat alongside the stage with jazz music performed by Veronica’s Vintage Jazz Trio. We loved the intimacy of the venue, we felt so close to the stage and we were interacting well with the act herself. Veronica really makes you feel warm and welcomed. The staff were very friendly and attentive without being annoying.


We came quite late so our focus was not necessarily on food, but more the actual ambiance and experience of the evening. However, we were recommended the blue bar sampler, chicken wings & red chilly prawns. The blue bar sampler consisted of popcorn shrimps, fried calamari, spring rolls & cheesy balls. We also tried the Angus mini burgers and was not disappointed, they were scrumptious. The meat was not dry at all and the veg tasted fresh.

For drinks we ordered Mango Juice - I know simple but refreshing; ‘Jammin’ like Bob Marley - a fruity cocktail that had a great after taste and also ‘Mystery Bachata' of Latin America is served in a Martini glass - absolutely crazy blend of coffee in the cocktail gave a boost to my mood.

By midnight, we and other patrons were dancing and having so much fun listening to Veronica sing favourable classics with a Jazzy twist 💖

Today, Luca met Noisy Nick and he looked for the many hidden nails on a storybook on a screen with his classmates. Then his teacher had us cut a paper plate in half, spread glue on it so yarn and cut up pieces of paper could land and stick on the paper plate. I was like “Oh, of course, N is for noodles.” Right?
