After refusing to pay anymore of Chole's unfair "taxes" Marinette starts a riot that drives all of Chole's forces out of the village, but Chole isn't ready to back down so she returns with and army who round up everyone and captures Marinette. She decides to make and example of her by beheading her in front of everyone, but luckily Adrien shows up to stop the execution and frees Marinette.

Chole is shocked and furious at Adrien's presence in the village and him defending them. Adrien discovers Chole had been using him to scare all the townships into handing over their money for "protection" against an evil giant. This causes Adrien to become so upset he grows even bigger and with Adrien's help everyone bands together and drives out the soldiers and Chole.

But Chole vows to return with the special forces of King Gabriel to back her up and to personally make Marinette suffer for stealing Adrien form her. Adrien is properly welcomed into the village and becomes part of the community.
