i don't know how to phrase this correctly but. even tho i think, even tho i know, that you guys mean well with the mental health awareness messages, like really, it's very sweet, important and thoughtful, we literally know nothing. as we should. we do not know what happened, and at the end of the day we don't deserve to know. so it'd nice to stop speculating, i think. it'd be nice to see that family getting the respect they asked for

Hey bro I like your writing and I was wondering if you could give us some Mizu x Filipino!Reader hcs🥺👉👈 ̶(̶t̶o̶t̶a̶l̶l̶y̶ ̶n̶o̶t̶ ̶g̶o̶n̶n̶a̶ ̶u̶s̶e̶ ̶i̶t̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶p̶r̶o̶j̶e̶c̶t̶ ̶m̶y̶s̶e̶l̶f̶)̶
I have to make this poetic I'm so sorry but also making it modern!au and canon setting teehee (ALSO DOUBLE UPDATE?) slight nsfw ig!! mdni.
Tumblr media
canon divergent, just think of this is as that scene from Goyo where Remedios and Gregorio Pilar do a wholeass pining scene idk
Absolutely met you at some fancy ass noble party
You're a child of a wealthy Senor who's in great partnership with the Lords from the Commonwealth
Mizu's camping in and disguising herself in the party to find more intel on her next target and then she bumps into you
at first you're like very inquisitive of where she came from (considering that you view her as a man at this point), how she enjoys the party and what not
then you're suddenly like ik what you're doing. you're not from here.
Mizu's thrown off bc haha this is an international gathering of sorts and like ppl here are mostly foreign
you're like well its bc you're so obvious when it comes to occasions like this that I've already spotted you from a while back
and so youre like dancing and all and Mizu has no choice but to extract info from you
she reveals that shes looking for a white man, and that he may have connections here in the ph
and coincidence cuz you, who's also a part of the resistance, have been tracing the weapons provider of the spanish army.
so you guys work together. you give her intel, she helps you hunt down the provider and their little goons
it kind of starts like an enemies to lovers .... kind of a forced situation where Mizu has to deal with the resistance in order to get to what she wants but rlly theres no other way around
falls in love w your love for your country
despite your privileged upbringing, you're deeply interconnected with your roots, and have been fighting for the filipino people
you guys fight over the simplest of things, like how she doesnt wear things right or holds weapons correctly
you definitely bond over weaponry though and its history. the first time you've seen her katana, you were so amazed. in return, you showed her a kampilan—a sword carved and forged by your grandfather. she had so many questions.
yeahh overall i think what pulled you together was your shared anger and desperation for justice. No matter the situation, whether it be a resistance against oppression or looking for the man that caused a hellscape within your life, y'all resonated with the emotions and trauma that came with that.
BEST BELIEVE THE SEX WAS GOOD and rough and yes hbejawhejehe mhm
anys thats all. you're like PARA SA PILIPINAS and shes on her knees.
Tumblr media

LOOK: Multisectoral groups marched along Commonwealth Avenue earlier today as President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. delivered his third State of the Nation Address (SONA) at the Batasang Pambansa to assail his failed promise of a Bagong Pilipinas [trans. New Philippines]. For the groups, Marcos’s Bagong Pilipinas is a grand sham. Amid promises of better living conditions, 46 percent of Filipinos rated their families as food poor—the highest since 2008—according to the latest survey of Social Weather Stations. “[H]inaharap [ng ating mga kababayan] ang realidad na mataas ang presyo ng mga bilihin, lalo na ng pagkain—lalo’t higit, ng bigas,” said Marcos in his speech earlier, affirming bleak realities on the ground. On top of a cost of living crisis are poverty wages that fail to meet the family living wage of P1,190, as estimated by economic think tank IBON Foundation, the P35 wage hike in the National Capital Region (NCR) enacted last week was dismissed as an “insult to minimum wage workers” by Leticia Castillo of human rights alliance Defend NCR. Such wage hike is far from the P150 raise being lobbied in Congress by labor groups under the National Wage Coalition. Castillo also decried the persistence of red-tagging and vilification of activists perpetrated by the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict. From July 2022 to June 2024, 3,419,044 cases of threat, harassment, and intimidation were recorded by human rights group Karapatan. The number of political prisoners also climbed to 755 as of last month. These human rights violations run contrary to Marcos’s establishment of a Special Committee on Human Rights, which was labeled “toothless” by Human Rights Watch. Marcos’s claim of a bloodless drug war is also inconsistent with the 359 drug-related killings—34.3 percent of which were committed by state agents—recorded during his second year in office by research project Dahas. Moreover, despite claims of an independent foreign policy, the Philippines under Marcos remains dependent on the US and its unequal treaties, said Liza Maza of MAKABAYAN. Last year, Marcos announced the creation of four new US military bases in the country under the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement with the US. Such treaties with the US have been criticized for intensifying tensions with China and the broader Indo-Pacific region. Clarice Palce of Gabriela and Ronnel Arambulo of Pamalakaya raised their worries of the Philippines being dragged into a stand off between two global superpowers which will only worsen the poor living conditions of Filipinos. The program ended with a symbolic destruction of the effigies of Marcos and Vice President Sara Duterte. The broken UniTeam will be challenged by the Makabayan Coalition which will field a complete senatorial slate including ACT Teachers Party-list Representative France Castro and Gabriela Women’s Party Representative Arlene Brosas in the 2025 midterm elections. Well, I am poor.
I only got to LaSalle because I got scholarship. I am also not too smart, kyeme lang, bumagsak nga ako sa UPCAT eh.
Immersion to have idea about poverty? Bitch I don't need it, I grew up in poverty. Kapag nag-i-immersion ang school namin sa mga depressed barrio, minsan ako ang nagiging tour guide kase dun ako nakatira.
But having the opportunity to think na I can compete together with these rich kids despite being dirt poor, despite coming to class with maputik na shoes (no joke, like literally), makes me think that I can take on society no matter what, that I can be respected if I just work a little bit harder.
So you're telling me??? Na despite all the efforts of the scholars out there??? To rise up from poverty?? To get the respect they deserve?? (This is without the context na magiging mapagmataas sila ha, opinion nyo na yun if they're gonna be like that) hindi parin nila deserve yun??? Kase ano? Mahirap parin ang Pilipinas? Sinong may kasalanan? Ang instructors n'yo?
Parang instead of helping your "mamamayang pilipino" to get attracted to education, you're telling them na institutions are only for the privileged. THESE COMPLAINTS ARE ROOTED FROM EFFORT, NOT PRIVILEDGE. I'm not even nagrereklamo about OP wanting to be called Doctor, sometimes it is unnecessary—sa academic conventions lang naman talaga nagtatawagan ng Doctor or Professor or Engineer. Sa school settings okay lang yung Miss/Maam.
I'm talking about how you guys are over-reacting and saying na we shouldn't respect OPs wishes.
Like, why?
Bakit naging matter of privilege ito?
Yeah, private academe system is shit. Minsan naiinis ako kapag nagtataguan ng science journals ang mga uni, which is dapat public priviledge ang science, but is bitterness the way to solve it?
There was this one jeepney driver na minsan kong nasasakay when I come home from school. Yung anak nya nag-aaral ng masteral sa UP noon. He's very kind, gentle, and respectful, and would take pride sa kanyang anak na malapit na magdoctorate. I feel happy whenever he brags about his daughter kase nakaya nya, as a jeepney driver, na mapagtapos ang mga anak nya. I'll see to it na when we meet again, I will say, "Oh Kamusta na po si Doctor, manong nesty?"
Or maybe hindi dapat.
"Ayokong tawaging Doctor ang anak mo, Manong. Ang kapal naman ng mukha n'ya. Wala kaseng Phd ang kapitbahay ko, eh."
(at since gusto ko gumaan ang pakirandam mo, bigyan mo ako ng pera para maengganyo ako kumuha ng Phd.)

I'm sharing Jade's prom story from her Twitter thread. You can read it here and share it around. I'm putting it under a read more since it's quite long, but it's definitely worth reading every single word that she wrote. If you want to read more or get involved with LGBTQ+ rights, I have linked a few organisations that do great work in the Philippines.
LGBTQ+ Organisations in the Philippines
Bahaghari – national alliance of LGBT+ advocates, organisations, and formations. You can sign the petition for their anti discrimination bill SOGIE right here.
LoveYourself – an organisation that promotes HIV awareness, testing, and treatment. They also have resources available for those seeking help to transition.
UP Babaylan – The oldest LGBT+ student organisation in the Philippines.
LakanBini Advocates Pilipinas – A network of transgender organisations. They focus on health, psychosocial well-being, and human rights.
Rainbow Rights – A nonprofit NGO that focuses on legal literacy and empowerment with respect to SOGIE laws and policies.
Proud Campaign Philippines – Not only do they raise awareness of SOGIE, but they also help Filipinos in need with food, clothes, toiletries, and other necessities.
🩶 State Of The Dollification Address 🩶
I have 3 prom stories that I’ve experienced and here to tell all of y’all! I am now using my voice and platform to raise awareness, for humanity’s maturity and for the betterment of inclusive schools. ‼️
I want to say to ALL schools out there! No matter what Sexual Orientation, Gender Indentity & Expression. Students has the right to have equal knowledge and experience with schools and campus. As long as oppression and discrimination is still happening in today’s world, this is a sign that we are not yet treated as equal.

My first ever Prom that I’ve attended way back Feb 13, 2016. I got invited by a guy from an all boys school. He sponsored everything from the gown, ticket and transportation. Everything went well, I attended their prom as the WOMAN THAT I AM. It was magical, fun and romantic. I greeted some people in the event, ate, had a romantic dance with the guy and also partied a little bit, we went home safe (take note: our driver is his Dad). So happy with this experience I got to live just by being me.
I met some Queer people and some of them are now Trans Women from that school, last year 2022. They told me that I was so iconic, that the administrators, teachers, pastors are triggered by my presence that night. They had to call every Queer people in their school just to have a prayer/mass session to pray the gay away. It was so sad, they couldn’t fight, they just told me that they love and look up to me for my bravery and courage from that night. I hope they are now healed from that trauma.
Going back to March 2016, for our Moving-Up Ball in my school. Everyone is excited as we are about to enter Senior High School (the first batch of SHS) and Junior High School is about to end. I’m very excited about it because it’s going to be our last Ball/Party of our whole batch. I am thinking to myself that this is going to be my coming out moment as a Trans Woman. I immediately thought of wearing a dress and wearing a wig because my hair is too short for the vision of my full bloom woman.
Days before the Ball, I asked my adviser politely if I can go to the event wearing a dress as the woman that I am. She said “No, naiintindihan naman namin ang gusto mo, “Girl” na nga ang tawag ko sayo (as tinatawag niya kong “bakla” before) pero sa college mo na yan gawin, masyado ka pang bata. Malay mo mag-iba pa panananaw mo at maging lalake ka talaga (she laughed)”. I cried it out going home that day. Translation: “No, we understand what you want, I’m already calling you “Girl” (as she calls me “Gay” before). Do it in college instead, you are too young. Maybe you might change your perspective and become a man one day (she laughed).
The day of the event started… I did my friend’s makeup, as I am a makeup artist before. I started doing their makeup during lunch time and ended really well. My sister and mom helped by putting their dresses and curling their hair. 5 girl friends of mine are very happy with the results. I have a lot of memories with them I cherish and miss them now. Hi Aira, Ela, Elriva, Kirstine & Lubna.
I was so tired and had to glam myself up too. I wore a 30 inch black silky straight wig, white cocktail dress from my sister and black thigh high boots.
We went to the moving-up ball with my friend’s driver. My mom joined us because she wanted to explain something. As we got into the event, they immediately stopped me from entering. A teacher told me that I cannot enter, and they let me talk to my adviser and some of my teachers, they said “Jade, sinabihan ka na namin… You can’t wear this here. Magpalit ka ng suit na panglalake, para papasukin ka pa namin, maaga pa naman may time ka pa magpalit, Go na.” Translation: “Jade, we told you about this… You can’t wear this here. Change it to a Men’s suit, so that we can let you enter, it’s still early, you have time to change, Go for it.”
I told them I wanna talk to the principal. They let me talk with the principal and I explained the definition of Transgender and explaining that I am a Trans Woman. She refused, my mom talked to the principal and explained that I am a Trans Woman and I wanted to make this last moment of my JHS as the woman that I am. My mom said “Payagan niyo po sana yung anak ko na makapasok, kasi po babae po siya and yan po ang gusto niyang damit. Pangarap niya po yan”. Translation: “I hope you allow my daughter to get in, She is a woman and that’s how she wanted to dress up. That’s her dream.”
They still said no and change my outfit to a suit or anything na “panglalake” or “Men’s wear”. I lost hope at that moment, I saw my mom crying because how heart broken she is. I immediately cried too and said “Mama, umuwi kana ako na lang mag stay dito and ilalaban ko to. Ayoko na makita ka umiiyak”. Translation: “Mom, Please go home, I’m going to stay here and I will fight for this.”
She invited me to go home too but I said I needed to stay, this is something I think that is right. She went home and I started bursting out of tears, I was sobbing and fully destroyed. As a protest, I’m going to stay here until they let me in. There were feedbacks that they can hear me sobbing inside the event. My classmates comforted me, they took turns to accompany me outside. As the event is going through my classmates are slowly getting inside, they brought me food, talk to me nicely, my whole class went to me outside and took a class picture. Teachers that are close to my heart went outside to accompany too. And there’s this one teacher stayed with me the whole night outside and she said; “Malayo pa tayo sa pinapaglaban natin, pero gusto kong malaman mo na tama ka Jade, tama ang pinaglalaban mo, ikaw yan eh. Balang araw matatanggap ng lipunan natin ang isang katulad mo. Salamat sa pag-laban kung sino ka.” Translation: “We are far from what we are fighting for, but I want you to know that you are in the right track, that’s the real you! The time will come that our society will accept the people like you, thank you for fighting for being who you are”.
She said so many inspiring words that uplifted me. Take note: she’s an Araling Panlipunan teacher. Hi M1ss Meann Salimbangon, you deserve the love from this world. I love you so much, I will never forget you! You’re a treasure for me. She told me she won’t leave me outside until I get home safe. My friend’s driver offered a ride to get me home safe. I went home when that after party started. I was so tired and cried myself to sleep.

April 2016, our Moving-up Ceremony. Advisers are announcing that “No “proper” haircut for boys are not allowed get the diploma on stage. But instead, they will give the diploma a week after (together with our report card). I informed my adviser that I can’t cut my hair because I identify as a Trans Woman and I would like to get my diploma as how my hair is growing now. She refused, so i decided to not to go through. I did the Moving-up ceremony rehearsal for nothing. I informed my Mom that I can’t go to the stage because of my haircut. She was sad that she won’t see me receiving my diploma. I attend our moving-up ceremony with the parents of my friends, I was sitting in the parents section wearing a BLONDE FUCCING HAIR, full leather look with my y2k hidden wedge sneakers lol.
My head was heated seeing these boys in our school DIDN’T GOT THE PROPER HAIRCUT and got their diploma on stage. I immediately thought that the advise and requirement is just targeted for me or for the Queer people in my school ONLY. They were just oppressing us.
When it’s my time to get the diploma they called my name on stage flashed my photo to the screen. I stood up with my head up high, from the parent’s section. Everyone was looking at me, my friend cheered and screamed for me, the parents were clapping. It was a fuccing moment (just like a Pose episode) 🤣
Finally the nightmare era from that school was over, there is much more stories to tell. But it’s to long to share, so many bullying and oppressing issues that I experienced. I know it’s a Catholic school, but is it a requirement for Catholics to hate and oppress Trans Individuals like me? And the LGBTQIA+ community, if there are more issues (I knew it’s not just me 😌).
Moving forward, I searched for the right school to enroll for my Senior High School and that is iAcademy! I really really love this school so much, they accepted, acknowledged, and loved me. This is the first time I felt seen, heard & valued by a school. They let me wear what I want, let me my hair grew, it is so long that it touches my butt. I was openly proud Trans Individual, I even got a romantic relationship with a classmate (part of my growing process).
Tumblr media
Fast forward for our Grad Ball and Graduation Ceremony. The MOMENT I’ve been waiting my whole life was to attend our Graduation Ball. I wore the MOST HUGE ROYAL BLUE CINDERELLA-LIKE BALL GOWN WITH FEATHERS AROUND, LEAVING SOME FEATHER TRACKS WHEREVER I GO, WITH A FUCCING CROWN, because I already knew I am a fuccing QUEEN. I won best dressed of the night from the female category. They gave me a 10-min moment to share my JHS Prom experience and I am thankful for this inclusive school and being an LGBTQIA+ ally. I was so happy I could die. This moment will last forever and to the herstory of iAcademy.
Tumblr media
For our Graduation ceremony I wore the highest heels that I owned and a red cunty dress to my Graduation. I got my diploma on stage, strutting myself like the sexiest, cuntiest & baddest student on Earth.

While [the Philippine Coast Guard or] PCG officials have stated that they are ‘preparing for the worst’ due to the massive oil spills, protesters have criticized the impacts of reclamation and other environmental degradation in various coastal communities, particularly in Central Luzon, Southern Tagalog, and NCR, in addition to the effects of the oil spills.
[These oil spills are part of the systematic failures and incompetence of the government in protecting the environment, as it prioritizes the interests of large corporations’ profits despite its greenwashing projects and programs] said Jonila Castro, spokesperson of Akap Ka Manila Bay and advocacy officer of Kalikasan People’s Network for the Environment (KPNE).
According to KPNE, [San Miguel Corporation or] SMC not only owned the cargo fuel but also chartered the vessel under adverse weather conditions during the onslaught of typhoon Carina.
The group further denounced PCG’s participation after the said vessel was found to be unregistered and lacked the necessary permits but was able to transport oil.
[PAMALAKAYA spokesperson Ronnel Arambulo] also noted that while the government has provided P15,000 in economic relief to those affected, this amount is inadequate given the ongoing scale of recovery as communities are still grappling with the long-term consequences of the oil spill.
Meanwhile, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources noted the cost of damage to the livelihood of Manila bay fisherfolks reaching to ₱351 million. This further pose a threat to food security, people’s health and ecological destruction with the apparent damage to mangroves, seagrass, coral reefs and fisheries in Manila bay.
In Baseco, residents are grappling with a trifecta of environmental and social crises: from the relentless flooding brought about by typhoon Carina, ongoing reclamation projects in Manila Bay, and the escalating urban militarization.
[In Baseco, we also experience harassment from the military and threats from the 11th and 12th CMO, who orchestrate fake surrenderees. Is this what Marcos Jr. convey for ‘Bagong Pilipinas’ (New Society) under his administration?] [Michael Villagracia of Baseco People’s Alliance] posed a question.

Mega-Dyne Advanced Research and Development's Prototype Super Quantum Connected Phone is in Alpha Testing... oh my!
Tumblr media
Gerry Taylor, an engineer at Mega-Dyne Advanced Research and Development, always brought his work home with him, and his live-in girlfriend knew to leave it alone because he was one of the people who did Alpha testing. Sometimes, there was no telling what shocks, burns, or whatever the things he tested might still have in them. Unstable much? Very!”
“But damn!” thought Mary Becky O'Casey on seeing the latest thing he had brought in to work on.
A smartphone like nothing she had ever seen before. One that was supposed to be connected to a prototype quantum computer that no one at Mega-Dyne was sure what all it would eventually be capable of.
Whatever the case, the damn thing did floating hologram charts!
And there it sat on a coffee table in their living room as Gerry had to dash out and handle some complex, no doubt all-night problem involving another thing back at Mega-Dyne HQ. And there it sat glowing.
“What could it hurt?” Thought Becky, "But do what with it?"
Scrolling through the screen, most of which was beyond her, but one item made her pause.
“Maximum Complete 100% Translation,” it read, but activating it didn’t pop up a keyboard. Instead, it seemed to activate a camera screen, but even then, it still would do nothing.
Then Becky remembered that a new restaurant had just opened nearby called Fresh Pinoy Cuisine, which served dishes from the Philippines.
Becky had seen one of their menus and could not make head nor tails out of all the exotic-sounding names on it. Inasal na manok? Pinoy Bihon? Pancit Tortang talong? What could they all mean?” she wondered. “I’ll go there for dinner and try the translation thing.” She decided.
Tumblr media
As soon as she was seated in a quiet little corner, she pulled out Mega-Dyne’s no doubt still buggy, experimental Super Quantum computer-linked phone, keyed up the Maximum Complete 100% Translation, pointed it at the menu, the screen then said, "COPY COMPLETE. RECORD MORE?" Shrugging, Becky let the camera take in the Philippines-themed restaurant until it gave a ping and read, “READY TO ACTIVATE POINT CAMERA AT SELF.”
“Wha..? thought Becky but went along.
The phone produced a dazzling bright light straight into her eyes as a deep shock went through her.
When she recovered, Becky expected to find the translation of the menu on the phone screen; instead, she saw that it had turned itself off.
Then she glanced down at the menu and knew that Inasal na manok, Bihon Pancit, and Tortang talong meant Domesticated chicken stew, Filipino Rice Noodles Chicken and Veggies, and Eggplant cakes.
“How do I know this now?” wondered Becky aloud to herself, but it came out as "Paano ko malalaman yun?"
“I can read and speak Filipino!” thought Becky. Then, another thought came to her. After all, she had felt the vibe that came from the flash run through her whole body. Taking a compact out of her purse, she looked, and yes, indeed, the face that looked back at her was not the one she had come into the restaurant with.
Tumblr media
“Babaeng Pilipina ako” (I’m a Filipina girl!”) thought Becky, the words in her head already starting to change from English to Tagalog.
Then Becky saw the waitress coming and calmed herself.
“Ready for some food from back home?” she asked in English, “Yes, I am,” said Becky, also in English, but now with a very noticeable Filipino accent.
“Recent arrival?” asked the waitress, who, compared to Becky, had no accent at all or at least sounded as Virginia regional as Becky had before the quantum flash. Would you like me to switch to Filipino?” asked the waitress. “Yes, it’s like I just got here today, but I need practice, so English, please,” said Becky.
And then, with her heart beating like mad, she ordered her first Pinoy meal. By the end of it, she had calmed down and was ready to leave.
That was when a thought came to Becky, who by that time had decided that she would after tonight start calling, and more importantly, thinking of herself not as Mary Becky O'Casey, but as Maria Blessica Ocampo “Oh Grabe!” (Oh wow!”) thought Blessica “My boyfriend is now one of those guys with a Filipina girlfriend! I used to make fun of people like me. Napaka ironic!”

Batch 2024 participates in 2-week off-campus internship
University of the Philippines Integrated School (UPIS) Batch 2024 completed their 2-week off-campus internship at various sites from February 12 to 23.
Part of the Grade 12 work program is the two-week off-campus internship which aims to apply the knowledge and skills they have obtained from Kindergarten to Grade 11, to experience a real-world work environment, to understand and explore the careers they may pursue in the future, and to develop proper attitudes regarding leadership structure, employee interactions, and professionalism.
Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) Track
Grade 12 - Kalayaan, the Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) track, had their work immersions at Bantayog ng mga Bayani Foundation, Interactive Children’s Literacy Program (ICLiP), M&P Creatives, and Teatrong Mulat ng Pilipinas. UP Diliman Information Office (DIO) and DZUP 1602, despite being within the UP campus, were also included as internship sites for the off-campus work immersion.
The sites offered internship tasks such as writing articles, creating scripts, designing social media posts and publicity materials, covering events, newscasting, hosting, observing and teaching classes, assisting video shoots, joining rehearsals, and participating in activities conducted by the sites.
Zaeda Wadi, a former UPDIO intern, shared some of the most important lessons she learned through her internship. “At the UP DIO, I learned that being attentive is such a helpful asset to have! Be it in article-writing, observing during programs, interacting with others, or following instructions, having a present mind makes things clearer—and easier. I also realized that there are various activities in UP Diliman that I can participate in! It opened more doors for me to venture that can set me on new experiences as a student and community member,” she stated.
Additionally, she talked about some of the discoveries she made through UP DIO. “UP DIO staff taught me that in the hustle of life, sharing conversations and laughs makes the office life bearable and memorable! I learned from their close bond how it is always nice, even essential, to check in daily wholesome chats with people we meet at the workplace,“ she shared.

Business and Entrepreneurship (BE) Track
Grade 12 - Kapayapaan, the Business and Entrepreneurship (BE) track, experienced working at Underdog Fitness PH, Revised Salon, Friuli Trattoria, Puff & Dough BakeLab, SGD Coffee, Street Kohi, Noki Japanese Fried Chicken, and Urban Chick for their off-campus internship.
Some of their work included taking orders from customers, cleaning and setting up the area, making orders and food products for the business, assisting in supply inventory, creating and designing social media posts, preparing financial reports, assisting in administrative-related tasks, and conducting market research.
Princess Tan, a former intern at Noki Japanese Fried Chicken, shared her thoughts on how different the off-campus internship is from completing regular coursework for classes. “The real world is less structured than the system in school. The tasks we had to do weren’t listed for us and weren’t taught to us from the very start to end. You are expected to learn the operations as you go through the work program. Additionally, mistakes would cost you more unlike in school where you’ll just get a deduction on your score,“ she said.

Applied Sciences and Engineering (ASE) Track
Grade 12 - Karangalan and Karunungan, the Applied Sciences and Engineering (ASE) track, held their internship programs at Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) - Department of Information Systems and Computer Science (DISCS), ADMU - Department of Electronics, Computer, and Communications Engineering (ECCE), ADMU - Department of Mathematics, Buri Technologies, Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) - Environmental Management Bureau (EMB), DENR - Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB), Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Department of Science and Technology (DOST) - Advanced Science and Technology Institute (ASTI), DOST - Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), LCI Envi Corporation, New Era General Hospital, Smile Studio Dental, and Wilson Hobby Studio.
Some specific tasks given by the sites consisted of conducting playtests, exploring and programming with Artificial Intelligence (AI), attending workshops and seminars, testing websites, creating courses on websites, performing Test Case Documentation, listing products and packaging of companies, managing and operating with information and cybersecurity, weather research and reporting, assisting in dental-related work, input and documentation of dental procedures and prices, assisting in tech support with 2D software, 3D printing, and attending discussions and seminars held by the sites.
Enjoce Lampa, a former intern at ADMU - Department of Information Systems and Computer Science (DISCS), shared the skills he was able to develop or enhance through his experience. “The skill I used the most during the internship was definitely my knowledge in programming. I think I already had pretty good programming [or] coding knowledge from my experiences but this internship further enhanced my skills because I was able to use it on a real project. I learned the Godot game engine and its native language, GDScript, to create our game and I think I will be using this knowledge more in the future,“ he stated.

Synopsis
The students in Tinajero National High School Annex had an Educational Trip where they watched a shadow play performed by the Pilipinas Got Talent Champion the El Gamma Penumbra. They performed a variety of inspirable shows. Suddenly, a guy sat in front of Yanna, so she had to tell him that he’s blocking the view in less harsh way. After the show, the El Gamma Penumbra received a lot of compliments both by the students and teachers. (Please note: All the characters, place, and events are based on true story but the names of the characters were changed).
SETTING:      Laus Group Event Centre
AT RISE:        The show has been started so the students and teachers started to cheer the performers.
MA’AM LEIGHNE:  Everyone get your tickets here. Remember, you only have one ticket per
student. So, if you lose your ticket, you won’t be able to come inside.
                                     Understood?
STUDENTS: Yes ma’am.
MA’AM LEIGHNE: Okay. Let’s go!
OLIE: Wait guys. Let’s take a photo of our tickets first.
MIKAY: Oh yeah.
(The friends gathered around and started to take photos of their tickets)
RAINE: Send it to me later.
OLIE: Sure.
PRINCESS: Send it to us too.
OLIE: Okay.
(And the friends continued to go to the event centre.)
MIKAY: Let’s sit over there.
(Michaela said while pointing to the seats near the aircon and the speaker)
MIKAY: I’m hungry.
RAINE: Me too. Do you guys have food?
OLIE: I have Cracklings here. Do you like it?
MIKAY: Sure. Let’s open that.
OLIE: I bet Princess don’t like it. She’s not eating sour foods.
PRINCESS: Indeed. But I will eat that since I’m hungry too.
(And the friends are happily eating the snacks while chatting with each other.)
ANONYMOUS MAN: Attention. The show is about start in a moment. I am asking for your
understanding. Please do not take any videos and audio recording to
to keep our performers’ privacy. A simple photo of them will do.
RAINE: Ouch! That’s so loud.
PRINCESS: It’s because we’re near the speaker. It’s also cold here because we’re in front of the
                      aircon.
(The show started and the students begun to cheer them. The students brought the cellphones out and opened their flashlights and wave them in the air.)
OLIE: 우와! 진짜 너무 좋아
(Olie said which means they’re so good)
PRINCESS: I can’t see.
RAINE: Me too. It’s so hard to be small.
MIKAY: Should we stand up?
OLIE: Let’s stand on the chair.
(They stood up on the chair and starting to enjoy the view because finally they can see the show.)
OLIE: Princess. Could you get a photo of me with El Gamma Penumbra?
PRINCESS: But I’m shy.
OLIE: Oh come on. What’s there to be shy.
Mikay, could you get me a photo with the El Gamma Penumbra?
MIKAY: Sure. Give me your phone.
(Olie her phone to Mikay and Mikay starts capturing the best photo.)
OLIE: Thanks.
MIKAY: You’re welcome.
(She replied with a smile.)
(While watching the show, a guy suddenly appeared and sat I front of Olie and blocked the view.)
OLIE: Excuse me. Would you mind moving one seat? you’re too close to me so I can’t watch
             show.
(Olie told the guy which she meant the is big compared to her so he’s blocking the view. But she wants to make it less harsh so she didn’t said it in direct.)
GUY: Oh, sorry.
(When the show ended, they come out immediately and start talking about the show.)
OLIE: Wow! They are so good to hurt my hands!
MIKAY: Indeed. They are a worldwide superstar!
OLIE: But I think I hurt my throat because I overdo the cheering. I need a fluid, Let’s buy water.
PRINCESS: Let’s go. I’m thirsty too.
RAINE: Olie, are you alright?
OLIE: Yeah, I’m fine. It’s nothing. Let’s buy water and go back to the jeep.
(Al the students go back in the jeep to continue in the next destination.)
