The Arch of Santa Rosa, Laguna
The Santa Rosa Arch in Santa Rosa City, Laguna is not a simple welcome arch pero but was a watchtower against tulisanes in the past. Sadly, the original arch was demolished because of increasing volume of vehicular traffic. This is another case of "progress" demolishing heritage.

Most of the churches I visited in Thailand follows the architectural style of Europe. But there is one church that used the Thai architectural style even to the depiction of Jesus in gold.

The Price of Progress is Very Hot Summer
My school during elementary is surrounded by trees that's why it is much cooler. Ngayon decades-old trees are cut down to give way for buildings and concrete fields. Magtataka pa ba tayo kung bakit sobrang init?

SABAW MOMENT

Mactan Shrine: Where Magellan Met His End
My first visit to Cebu nakabisita sa dalawang monumento ng magkalaban na sina Magellan at Lapulapu.
Magellan led the first Spanish expedition that reached the archipelago that will be later on called as Las Islas Filipinas. He allied with Rajah Humabon of Cebu and fought Lapulapu and other chiefs of Mactan Island in the first instance that a European power involved itself with the local power struggle in the archipelago.

Colorful Lighthouse of Lilo-an, Cebu
A colorful lighthouse in Lilo-an, Cebu.
Lilo-an's name came from the word lilo, which means whirlpool in English. Marami kayang lilo sa Lilo-an?
This particular lighthouse guide ships going to Cebu from the north and maybe keep those ships away from the lilo.
