The Way Pinoy Motorcyclists Drive

I talked to a motorcycle rider defending the way many of them drive in the streets. Sabi nya iba perspective ng naka 2-wheels sa naka 4-wheels. Sa mga 4-wheels masikip na view nila pero sa mga 2-wheels maluwag pa daw yung space between cars kaya ok lang na sumingit sila.

Waiting for Boarding

This photo was taken in the airport of San Jose, Occidental Mindoro. This is what I considered as the most backwater Philippine airport that I encountered. Passengers has to disembark and walk to the terminal. Baggages are hand carried and there was no baggage carousel. This was around 16 years so maybe the airport was already improved.

Mabini Monument in PUP-Sta. Mesa

The monument of Apolinario Mabini in PUP - Sta. Mesa Campus.

The campus became the permanent site of the house of Mabini after being moved 3 times from Nagtahan because of urban development. The exodus of the house somewhat reflect Mabini's life of moving from one place to another while on the run from the American during the Philippine-American War.

Memories of COD Animated Christmas Display in Cubao

One of my fond memories noong bata pa ako is watching the COD animated Christmas Display sa Cubao with my family.

Naalala ko pa nun na buhat pa ako ng tatay ko para matanaw ko lang yung mga gumagalaw na mga manikin showing the story of the birth of Jesus.

I was able to give my kids the same experience 2 years ago. Ngayon yata tuluyan nang nawala yung animated Christmas Display sa Cubao.

Maybank in a Heritage House (Sta. Rosa, Laguna)

This is one of the heritage house in the poblacion of Santa Rosa, Laguna. Good thing that Maybank adapted to the heritage house and did not "wrecknovate" it.

The Arch of Santa Rosa, Laguna

The Santa Rosa Arch in Santa Rosa City, Laguna is not a simple welcome arch pero but was a watchtower against tulisanes in the past. Sadly, the original arch was demolished because of increasing volume of vehicular traffic. This is another case of "progress" demolishing heritage.

So nakarating ako sa Quezon City from Laguna na halos wala nang pamasahe. Napansin ko na wala nang laman ang wallet at halos wala na rin ang barya. Naiwan ko sa bahay ang ATM cards. Buti na lang may load pa yung Beep Card at nakauwi pa rin.
