📚 STUFF I READ 📚
🥰 Contractual Obligations: A Love Story in Three Traffic Lights (shaenie) - 56K, White Collar threesome, getting together - I loved all the backstory of how Peter & El had been chasing/wooing Neal all along (and the crimes everyone committed along the way)
😍 some sweet violent urge series (voxofthevoid) - 42K, Avengers WS Bucky/modern Steve - roommates to lovers with a D/s vibe - incredibly romantic & tender and also absolutely filthy [reread of pts 1&2, new pt3]
💖💖 +187K of shorter fic so shout out to these I really loved 💖💖
The Gold of Your Body (azephirin) - The Old Guard: Kaysanova, 11K - sometimes devout Catholicism leads to kink discovery
just to see each other (feel it all) (susiecarter) - Top Gun: Maverick/Iceman, 35K - absolutely loved this Pacific Rim AU
fish in the sky (alby_mangroves, chaosmanor) - MCU: stucky, 37K - incredibly gentle and warm story of Steve going to the Stark Family Farm for a forced vacation and meeting the mysterious Russian caretaker, James. I really don't have the words to describe how wonderful this fic is, except that it will make you laugh and maybe cry and leave you as healed as Steve. And also you will want to eat a lot of cheese. This is one of those forever faves that I have bookmarked AND downloaded and saved on every device [reread]
like a monument to desperation, two floors high (greatunironic) - Stranger Things: steddie, 6K - from the 'the most remarkable thing' universe, showing us the reason rock star Eddie & his boyfriend (World's Sexiest Guidance Counselor) were banned for life from the Getty

Hi Taylor, hope all is well with you. This is a bit random so please feel free to ignore this if you'd prefer.
Do you have any advice for someone experiencing writer's block? I have so much trouble trying to string a single sentence together. It's gotten that bad and idk, I just felt like asking. Sometimes I feel it's helpful to read about what other writer's think about writing in general. Sometimes I feel seen and sometimes I end up learning something new so I'd love to hear if you've found anything that has been helpful to you when it comes to writing.
First of all no, please send me messages like this all the time!! I also feel like I learn more and really that's what a community is all about. Send questions and thots and music and just whatever your heart desires!
Also, god it really really sucks. I'm sorry you're having trouble even getting a sentence out, believe me, I get it. For me, it's really really different every time it hits. I'm so sorry this is so long, but maybe it'll help you or someone else so I wanted to be thorough! 💛
1. Sometimes, I need to read - read other fanfic, read different books of a variety of genres. This helps spark that 'goddamn I wanna write something that makes people the way I feel when I read this!' inspiring feeling...HOWEVER, for me personally, depending on my mood, this actually backfires and I start getting too in my head about comparison and doubt which ultimately blocks me more (but see note #7 to combat this)
2. Specifically for fanfic writing, I need to return to the source a lot of times! I realize I haven't watched the show in awhile, or if it's my other Fandom, I need to read the original books. Even though we're on Tumblr and we see gifsets and people writing about these characters and art, sometimes we need that original source material to spark something. If you're not writing fanfic and writing something original, this could even be returning to your outline, making a mood board for a specific scene/character/etc. Why did you want to write this story to begin with? Why did you fall in love with it? Why do you want other people to fall in love with it - what do you want them to take away when they finish it?
3. Water, food, change of scenery - it sounds silly and everyone says it, but sometimes your body just can't focus. Drink some water, take a bite of something and even go for a little walk around your house (outside is better for me but whatever works for you!)
4. Share it with someone! I'm super duper stubborn and feel like I have to fix the block myself and honestly sometimes thats just silly. Having someone read it or tossing out ideas with each other really helps! You need a writing community around you - and not just people who will tell you your shit rules (which of course you want to hear, but you need the balance - the people who will tell you what's working and what's not working)
5. Dump it out! Try to just literally throw any and every thought onto a page - whether it's a doc or hand written, a voice note, whatever. Don't worry about timeline and things flowing or making sense. Often times you're blocked on a part because something else is calling to you! Also, and this may be tough to hear - it may make you realize you're blocked because you need to blow up your entire plot. I can't tell you the number of times I was blocked on something because it just wasn't right. No matter how much I loved the scene, it didn't work, it wasn't in the right spot, etc.
6. Brackets!! And Comic Sans! It's silly, but I saw a thing that recommended typing in comic sans when you're blocked and sometimes this works for me? It's something about the font and your brain not taking it seriously? Also brackets. For when you're stuck you just literally type [and then Steve does something hot here but we move on to..] like filling in the part you're stuck on and come back to it.
7. This is my new favorite! I'll link the podcast below - but they're these wonderful women who make this podcast about screenwriting, but I think there is some crazy cool and beneficial advice for anyone wanting to write in general in their episodes.
But anyways, something they discussed has really helped me and that is: naming your doubt. Like literally giving her a name (they called her Miranda in the podcast) and telling Miranda "no sorry, that's not helpful, you don't get a seat at the table right now, we'll get back to you) AND THEN doing this amazing exercise when you're doubting. She uses an example of her student saying "isn't that too soap opreaey?" And so then she makes her student write the scene as soap opreaey as she can. And that ended up taking the pressure off while also pulling out some nuggets that she ended up really liking! Does that make sense? So just write whatever you're doubting to the extreme. They explain it much better in the podcast 😅
8. Going along with #7, find some writers or people you really admire on YouTube or podcasts or a book who are talking about writing! It's amazing how a little video or quick episode of listening to someone talk about writing passionately can spark something in yourself. It reminds you you're not alone but it can also give you a new way to approach something, etc.
9. Lastly, I'll just say, that in order to push past the block, you have to let go - whether that's pressure, doubt, etc. You have to give yourself grace and patience because the more you sit and stare at something that doesn't want to come out, the more frustrated and tight you get and the longer it'll take to come out. There's an interview with Taika Waititi, and I know I'm really butchering what he said, but it was something about even opening a word doc, staring at it and not typing a single thing, and then closing the doc that day, still makes you a writer. There are going to be days where it just doesn't come but that doesn't mean you're not a writer and that it'll never come!
I hope that helps anyone 💛 also here is the link to the podcast in case you're curious 🥰 happy writing!

9 books for 2022!
I was tagged by @sioirsebhan to list 9 books I want to read in 2022, and there are just SO MANY BOOKS I want to read!!!
So, in no particular order, I’m listing:
Black Water Sister by Zen Cho - Actually I lied, I’ve listed this first because I have borrowed it from the library! It currently sits next to my bed, waiting for me to pick it up! @quandary-peak recommended this one, it’s a sort of supernatural ghost/horror story about intergenerational trauma featuring a lesbian main character, if I remember right. And hey, I do love queer women, I love ghosts, and I am trying to learn more about horror! It ticks all my boxes!
Four Lost Cities by Annalee Newitz - Nonfiction about (gasp!) four lost cities and archaeology of the modern age! I listen to the podcast Our Opinions are Correct and I like listening to Annalee Newitz’s insights and commentary, so I’m expecting to enjoy their book!
Iron Widow by Xiran Jay Zhao - I’ve enjoyed reading the author’s videos on Chinese history in media (also, their outfits are GREAT) and it was billed to me as Chinese-history inspired angry feminist Pacific Rim AU? With no love triangle, just eventual OT3??? Yes, I want to read this! (It’s also sitting next to my bed, but I am so excited about this that I find myself waiting for the perfect weekend where I can dive into it and be completely consumed.)
Nona the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir - I love the Locked Tomb and have loved Gideon and Harrow, I’m just thrilled to see the third book!!! Eee!!! Much excited screaming!
The Fortune Cookie Chronicles by Jennifer 8. Lee - The history of American-Chinese food and the sociological and political pressures around why it is the way it is! I’ve heard bits and pieces of this book quoted in various articles or podcasts that I’ve enjoyed, so I finally want to read the source!
The Lady’s Guide to Celestial Mechanics by Olivia Waite - Historical F/F romance with science ladies!!! I really enjoyed The Care and Feeding of Waspish Widows by the same author, so I want to read this one too!
Night Sky With Exit Wounds by Ocean Vuong - After having seen so many gorgeous snips of his poetry on Tumblr and Twitter, I want to actually read the book! I have purchased it, but am a very slow poetry reader; I will usually read just one or two before I go to bed, sigh longingly, and then stare longingly at it in the morning.
The Oleander Sword by Tasha Suri - @meishuu recommended the first book to me (The Jasmine Throne) and I loved it!!! I love this fantasy India with these amazing powerful lesbians fighting against imperialism and with twisted royal family dynamics!!! Amazing, want to read the sequel!
How to Write an Autobiographical Novel by Alexander Chee - I’ve read a few of Chee’s essays before and enjoyed them, and also listened to him on Food 4 Thot and this has been on my to-read list for a while! Perhaps this will be the year I finally do it!
Okay!!! So now that I have yelled about the things I want to read, I would like to tag @skogrr, @anneapocalypse, @bittylildragon, @wolffyluna, @quandary-peak, @meishuu, @h1bernate, @foibles-fables, and @fireandfolds if you want to play?

what was the podcast 👀 was it mcelroys
Oh GOD they definitely sound unbearable but I've thankfully never listened to any of their stuff, the one I was referring to is called "Food 4 Thot" a "queer" libfem podcast hosted by 4 gay dudes (one of whom is nonbinary ided) and the way they speak and the format of the show (LOTS of porn references and queer theory) is just annoying as hell. I used to be a regular listener in my libfem days but I stopped listening after a while because I didn't like how often they used words like "pussy" ("to serve pussy") and "bitch".

Things To Do In Quarantine 🌻
Experiment with new recipes to cook or bake with.
Exercise inside, even if it’s just gentle stretches through yoga or pilates - I recommend checking out Blogilates on YouTube as a starting point.
Tend to your garden and soak up some much-needed sunshine.
Read more! If you don’t have many physical books at home, download the Kindle app and buy some from the Kindle store. Many classics are available from the Kindle domain for free, such as Grimm’s Fairytales and the Sherlock Holmes stories.
Write more! Take this time to look back on past story ideas and make them bigger and better.
Create physical or digital art, whether it’s a sketch with watercolours or a digital painting on your graphics tablet.
If you’re like me and miss hiking outdoors, try playing games that recreate this feeling, such as Stardew Valley or Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Watch films that remind you of nature, particularly ones made by Studio Ghibli - my favourites are Spirited Away, Kiki’s Delivery Service, and Castle in the Sky!
I’d also recommend watching BBC nature documentaries as they’re always well produced, like the Planet Earth, Blue Planet, and Wild Japan series available on Netflix.
You can even host an online movie night using the Chrome extension Netflix Party with family or friends!
Discover new podcasts on Spotify - if you want a chatty podcast that will have you weak with laughter, definitely check out Food 4 Thot.
Find relaxing music that will help you through this stressful time. I love scrolling through different lo-fi or orchestral playlists on Spotify, and would also recommend checking out slower albums from artists like Lana Del Rey or Hozier.
Remember to talk regularly with your loved ones!
Practice self-care in whatever ways you like most. I love to burn a Yankee candle, take a relaxing Lush bubble bath, and slathering on some Body Shop lotion, all of which are things that you can order online to support these businesses whilst their physical stores are closed.
Most importantly, remember to be kind to yourself. This is an unprecedented global pandemic, so everyone is rightfully scared.
However, try to take this time as an opportunity to rest from your usually hectic lifestyle, in which our lives revolve around education or work, and we are often valued more for how productive we are, rather than how happy we really are with ourselves.
Feel free to add more suggestions! 💛

By Marcus Scott
By the standards of previous generations, millennials are often dubbed as entitled, lethargic, apathetic, unimaginative and uncultured with an appetite for politically correctness. The same could not be said with the four young men behind the politically incorrect queer podcast Food 4 Thot, a roundtable of wits that doesn’t shy away from topics like religion, unrestrained group sex, civil resistance in the age of Trump, safe spaces in the time of trigger warnings and identity politics.
But this group seems more or less equipped to discuss these topics: Composed of Dennis Norris II (an ex-figure skater turned fiction writer and MacDowell fellow), Tommy “Teebs” Pico (a highly-profiled author, poet and Lambda Literary fellow from the Viejas Indian reservation of the Kumeyaay nation), Fran Tirado (Associate Editor at Hello Mr. and an AFAR ambassador homodocumentarian) and Joseph Osmundson (associate editor of The Feminist Wire and postdoctoral associate scientist at NYU), Food 4 Thot is like a poppers-induced wonderland created equally for the NPR-tweaked social justice warrior and the diva-obsessed rosé-swilling gay alike.
Speaking with this multiethnic, multiracial Molotov cocktail of queer writers, playwright and critic Marcus Scott conversed with the coterie of Thots about dating apps and contemporary relationships, racial discrimination in and out of the gay community, the present and future of the gay community and equal representation in LGBT culture.
Marcus Scott: What is so astonishing about the lineup of creatives that hosts the Food4Thot podcast is that the group is intentionally diverse, multicultural and multiethnic. Has there ever been an awkward moment where some perspectives have collided with others off-air?
Food4Thot: Oh, we collide plenty on-air too. Just ask Joe and Dennis about Beyoncé’s relationship to capitalism and within five minutes the table will be turned over and Rosé splashed on Joe’s face. In general though, we love and learn from one another. We had an early taping (that won’t be released) where Tommy, as an indigenous person, talked about how he hates the word “tribe” as in “she found her tribe.” And yet, we’ve still said that on- and off-air. When it happens, we realize, oh… OMG, I AM SO SORRY! That’s what being in a relationship is.
MS: In March 2017, Vice published an article that declared that, “LGBTQ Media Is Less White Than Ever, but It’s Still Not Enough.” In the article, the writer noted the cognitive dissonance of homonormative attitudes and how white muscular men are exalted in the press and in society. Do you feel there is a system of advantages and privileges that are gifted to gay white men that people of color aren’t?
Food4Thot: Hahahaha. Also, water is wet. It’s no surprise that mainstream gay “culture” colludes with white supremacy via body politics, so we’re here to take it down, take no prisoners, and take a selfie all the same.
MS: Do you feel gay white men have garnered a monopolization on certain issues or topics that is relevant to all LGBT people? If so, why is whiteness still being praised in gay culture, which has been celebrated as being inclusive?
Food4Thot: Well, gay marriage being the defacto issue of gayness/gay “culture”/gay “media,” and not the murder of trans women of color is evidence that white gay maleness monopolizes the issues of the gay “movement”—a movement, it should be noted, that would not exist without the time, effort, and sacrifices of trans women of color. Gay “culture” is just another site of gentrification in late stage capitalism, and as long as it remains monolithic it will continue to prioritize its most saleable facets, despite claims of inclusivity. So what you do is break up the monolith and expose what’s going on inside.
MS: In the aforementioned article, it also noted that “young, politically engaged [French] people demand LGBTQ media that showcases diversity and social justice more than their older peers do.” What do you think separates gay millennials from previous generations?
Food4Thot: Maybe part of it is that because the stigma around being LGBTQ has lessened somewhat, more people are embracing themselves and because the ranks have swelled so has the desire for a proliferate representation of queerness? Maybe it’s gladiator sandals? Maybe it’s Maybelline?
Dennis: It’s definitely Maybelline.
MS: Has Grindr, Scruff, Hornet, Adam4Adam, Tinder and other apps changed the way we view diversity, inclusion and equal opportunity hook-ups?
Tommy: Maybe? I think a potentially more interesting conversation is how convenience culture in dating makes people so entitled to every particularity of their desires.
Dennis: I think the convenience culture that Tommy refers to here is a big part of the answer to your question, Marcus. Being a gay man of color, I never really understood the extent to which I might be undesirable, or on the other hand, fetishized, until I got my first smartphone in 2012 and joined Grindr. I’m not sure if these apps have really changed the way we think about equal-opportunity hook-ups, but I dothink we’re simultaneously both more cognizant of it, when we want to be, and less cognizant, when it suits our needs desires.
Fran: And on top of all this, it is so limiting to try and define an entire population—how we experience relationships, how we include or disclude—with an app. It’s just not what the conversation is actually about, and these recurring conversations about Grindr and Tinder exclude the majority of queer people. Queer people who use apps are only a fraction of us. Can we move on from it already?
MS: I was talking with a friend who felt alienated from the LGBT community, particularly other gay men, because he felt they valued vanity and fabulation over more political and intellectual concerns. He is not alone in this belief. As you know, gay men in particular have a history of valuing wit and advocacy. To some, it feels like we have moved have moved away from that. Do you feel there is some truth to that?
Food4Thot: Our philosophy is, “Get you a show/man that can do both.” It’s also reductive and dehumanizing to argue that you can’t like Beyoncé because then you become a gay cliché. None of us are theater queens, but like who cares if you are? We all love limp wrists and millennial pink, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t political (we’re political AF) and aren’t smart, engaged, concerned. Both the stereotype andthe rejection of the stereotype are limiting, and we try to break those things wide open on the show.
MS: What can we do as a community to change the optics of gay culture?
Food4Thot: Listen To Food 4 Thot — it’s our mission, it’s our brand, it’s our currency.
Dennis: Call me crazy but I think the best way to change the optics of gay culture is to be less concerned with the optics of gay culture. Over-awareness of the optics means to some extent, catering to an exterior gaze, and like, who has time for that? Can I just live?
Fran: Amen to Dennis. The only thing that’s wrong with the gay community is people who talk about what’s wrong with the gay community.
MS: What do you feel is the biggest representation issue facing the LGBT community today, especially in terms of the media?
Food4Thot: That we don’t have our own brand of Rosé.
MS: With the amount of ears tuned into your broadcast series, do you feel there is a responsibility that LGBT media experts have to present both positive and negative representations of LGBT culture?
Food4Thot: Positive and negative representations still feel reductive. We just are. And we’re doing it publicly. We’re humans, we fuck, we can be slutty, we can be sweet, we read books, we read each other. These are things that straight people do too, without having to represent their sexuality.
MS: For the most part, you are all social media savvy millenials. What do you feel is the greatest hurdle gay millennials are best tasked with?
Food4Thot: Except Dennis.
Joe: I don’t think gay millennials are tasked with hurdles that other folks aren’t. We have collective trauma, perhaps, in the way that queer people always have. I don’t think Grindr makes it harder to find or keep a man; in fact many relationships start on Grindr. There has always been temptation outside of a relationship. There’s nothing new under the sun; what’s happening now just feels new because it’s happening to us.
MS: Any thoughts on how we can better diversify narratives in LGBT media and arts?
Food4Thot: Listen to Food 4 Thot, also other queer, brown things! Give them money!
MS: For readers who may not have tuned into your podcast, #Food4Thot is very brazen with the sexuality and sensuality presented so candidly. It’s so fresh and innovative. But certain groups of people demonize sexuality. How do you think we can express sexuality to be presented even more as natural, healthy and liberating in pop culture?
Tommy: Ask less what people think and ask more what do you really want?
Dennis: I think we can do that by simply being honest and putting it out there. Forcing people to see you, to hear you, to recognize your existence and humanity.
MS: Any sex-related horror stories you care to share?
Food4Thot: Listen to the podcast, and you’ll find plenty there.
MS: Finally, just for kicks: Favorite pop icon/diva?

Hey thotty otty otties -- Brooklyn Magazine just posted this interview with me & the Thots about our podcast and it’s predictably trashy but I did come up with the preamble to our constitution:
We the Thots of the Resistance, in Order to form a more perfect crew, establish short shorts, insure domestic backrooms, provide for the common clap back, promote dismantling white supremacy, and secure the Blessings of Beyoncé to ourselves and our posterior, do establish this Constitution of the United Thots of America. We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men ain’t shit; that thots are endowed by Sade certain unalienable rights; that among these are wine, creativity, and the pursuit of shade.

"The best way to describe Homoground - Queer Music Podcast is a queer-positive take on MTV. Host Lynn Casper introduces you to the queer creatives that many mainstream pubs ignore. Since its first episode in 2011, more than 1,000 #LGBTQ+ musicians and bands have been featured. Not only will you discover tunes your Spotify algorithm almost certainly wouldn’t, but many of the bands share their stories about coming out, starting a band, and the struggles of getting mainstream radio time. Audiophiles and wannabe audiophiles—this one’s for you." Thanks Well and Good for including us in this list with friends Food 4 Thot, Dyking Out, QUEERY, Making Gay History - The Podcast + more!!

So I've been thinking this for awhile I think I might actually be a lesbian??? Like it's a fact that I love girls but my questionable liking for guys is different? Really looking back at guys I've liked I feel like it had something to do with compulsory heterosexuality? Like feeling I had to/should? Plus the guys I do think I like have to be really specific. Also found out that finding a guy attractive doesn't necessarily mean I want to date them, just want to appreciate them from afar and (1/4)
that’s ok? When I’ve pictured my future as a kid seeing myself with a guy felt strange I thought being bi that sure I could like either but that being with a guy would be almost settling. Like it would be just ok in comparison to a girl. Like if people are ever like “oh one day your husband…” i get really annoyed. And no guy could ever meet my high expectations of them. But then I don’t want to reinforce the idiotic stereotypes people have about the bi community just being confused and (2/4)
eventually picking a side. Like I don’t wanna be that. Also if I am attracted to some guys to some degree then it must mean I’m bi. And then calling myself a lesbian would mean I’m CHOOSING a sexuality and not just liking people naturally. The whole community is always trying to say sexualities aren’t a choice and I’m going against that. Like what if I could have or end up falling in love with a guy and could be so happy, but I ignore it because I simply “don’t want to”. Labels can be great (¾
but they feel either too confining or too broad AND THEN I’m the bisexual who doesn’t like labels trope and here we are again and wtf. So if I don’t like men after all then MAYBE I’m not a lesbian because I didn’t add that I do like people that don’t conform to the gender binary and go by other identities. But still could like identifying as les. So do I just have a weird thing against men? Guys I’ve been “with” wasn’t that great to me but maybe it’s cuz they’re the wrong people idk (4/4)
Hi there!
First of all, I can’t figure out when this was sent but I’m gonna guess not recently, so I’m really sorry for that. I’m going to reply now bc maybe you’re still out there and following this blog? I have been busy and sorta abandoned this blog, so I’m really sorry about that as well
You aren’t a trope because you’re a real person with a complicated sexuality and hey! same! I used to ID as bi and I don’t atm and that’s totally fine! Neither of us are hurting anyone by questioning our identities or changing what language use!
With that said, in my experience of reading, listening to, and talking to LGBTQIA folks (specifically outside of tumblr!), I’ve found this is a fairly common experience. There’s an argument that was created partially in pursuit of marriage equality that people are “born this way.” Yes, it did help get some of those “movable middle” straight people to be less homophobic. It can also be super resonant and true to any given LGBTQIA person and I don’t want to invalidate their lived experiences.
However, it rests on this idea that being gay (or otherwise lgbtqia) is bad/wrong but must be forgiven because us lgbtqia people Can’t Help It. Instead, I’d rather choose to celebrate my own queerness. For me right now that looks like:
-using gay to describe my orientation when I am being read as my assigned gender and among acquaintances, because I am not pursuing any romantic or sexual relationships with men
-using queer when I am in my community
-working on learning more about my nonbinary gender and figuring out how I want to transition (socially, medically, etc)
I’m struggling to articulate this well, but the thing that has helped me the most is listening to real, adult lgbtqia people. I know that they’ve discussed this before on the podcasts Food 4 Thot and Queery with Cameron Esposito. Those and other podcasts I’ve found incredibly helpful and fulfilling, especially now when I have very little in-person access to a queer community. Hearing people’s voices and earnest, good-intentioned discussions about LGBTQIA experiences is validating, fulfilling, and challenging in a way that’s really helped me. I would also recommend reading memoirs, poetry, and fiction by LGBTQIA authors! Many of them will likely disclose similar uncertainties and questioning.
Ultimately, you are a real and complicated person with a rich inner life and background of experiences. No one word is ever going to be able to perfectly encapsulate that or convey it to everyone else. You get to take your experiences and feelings and to try to find language that articulates it for other people. You get to choose which label works for you. And whichever it is, you’re not lying, I promise.
#if u have similar experiences and tips or media that discuss it? please chime in in the replies!#LGBTQIA#queer#lgbt#questioning#asks

Pride Podcasts
Need some LGBTQA+ content for your earholes? Here you go! A lovingly curated* list of nonfiction podcasts dealing with history, current events, interviews, and general queer culture chat.
History is Gay: Two queer nerds share their love for the past, hijinks, and all things gay, sharing stories of those of us in the unexplored corners of history who have always been there. Because history is never as straight as you think! (‘Gay’ in this sense includes the LGBTQA+ spectrum, but acronyms don’t always make great soundbites!)
Queer as Fact: Queer history podcast covering content from around the world and throughout time!
One From the Vaults: A trans history podcast bringing you all the dirt, gossip, and ~glamour~ from trans history! (and yes, ~glamour~ is absolutely necessary, you need to listen to the host’s pronunciation, it’s delightful)
Food 4 Thot: A podcast/gabfest hosted by four multiracial queer writers discussing sex, identity, what they like to read, and who they like to read! One of their original taglines was “like NPR on poppers” and they can get absolutely filthy. Most of the episodes are decidedly unsafe for work, but I like listening to them on my commute. :’)
Nancy: Stories and conversations about the queer experience today! Special place in my heart because the hosts Kathy Tu and Tobin Low bring that sweet, sweet Asian-American rep I crave.
StoryCorps: StoryCorps brings unscripted conversations and interviews on a variety of topics, but for the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots, they’re asking (and focusing) on the stories of people who were born before the Stonewall riots, and how their lives have changed over the past decades.
*meaning things I personally listen to, and obviously as one person I only have two earholes and limited time. Feel free to add whatever good and wonderful things you enjoy!
