Hi, Veilguard dev here. Your analysis of the """restructuring""" is pretty spot on. One small clarification: not doing DLC wasn't a game team decision, it was an executive or business decision. A lot of us were begging to do DLC and longer term support.

My sympathies for your situation. I'm not surprised at all. I've always been a proponent of post-launch game support. DLC and continued support is a great training ground for juniors and mid-levels to level up their skills on lower-stakes content and features and post-launch content has a notably less brutal delivery schedule. I thought it was a big gamble when Veilguard marketing announced that there wouldn't be any post-launch content. Clearly the choice did not pay off.

VERY COMMON MISCONCEPTION: These were NOT Toys-R-Us exclusive. Most US stores did sell these, but with a limited stock, presumably due to how the franchise was preforming. Toys-R-Us was just the most common place to find them, due to the fact they were already pretty much in the gutter around when these came out (Released only 1 year before the store shutdown). Short follow up on my previous post rambling about Rocky and the theme of water that surrounds him (Click here to see said previous post)

So to further prove my mad ramblings I direct your attention to the page Dithyramb from all the way back in volume 1 who's contents newer fans (*cough*Like me*cough*) may be familiar with from the pilot, which is Rocky talking about the Mississippi River

And we also have his bio art from the official website which has Rocky balancing on a moonshine barrel down a River, which I'd fairly guess is the Mississippi River (I know captain obvious here)

So that makes 5 examples so far of Rocky and his relationship with water, now to mentally prepare myself of the "What If" scenario that he drowns 😀👍(I will never be prepared)

Note: that this is cannon to the AU (Which is a crossover with another series and the main Undertale game, UTY was only recently incorporated into the story and yes this bit is set post True Pacifist and follows some extended lore that simply all you need to know is that not every Monster was sealed Underground. In fact, a vast majority of them were not and simply went into hiding away from Humanity.)
