After cursing to himself for what seemed like forever about how the Trainer's able to get it to work so effortlessly, he managed to yank out the other four Pokeballs that contained the rest of the team Jason traveled Unova with: Axel the Haxorus, Tempest the Scolipede, Driver the Excadrill, and Mr. Fluffy the Archen.]

Look, Driver. Pal. I'm going to tell all of you something, and if you can take the news well, I know everyone else will. You're the most level-headed member of the group, and basically my second-in-command.

...So. Me and Jason were messing with this thing, it's called the Synchro Machine. It's used to link the minds of Pokemon and their Trainer, allowing the latter to experience the world as the former.

I know Jason said that we had basically mastered that already-

And we DID-

-But, we figured that this would even further increase our understanding of that power. However, while the Synchro Machine was being used, it had malfunctioned. And...

Something happened.

I'll keep it short. I'll have more human tendencies from here on, and Jason is basically a wild Pokemon stuck in a human's body now... at least until we can find a way to fix this. We're still trying to figure out what the long-term effects are, though.

Thank goodness, I was really hoping that you wouldn't be upset. But everyone did hear that, right? And until everything gets fixed... if they get fixed... There are going to be some changes, surrounding the structure of the team.

So, until things are fixed, I'm the leader until said otherwise. Jason, you have any problems with that?

Day 7: Favorite Villain

I do like me a good villain. But good villains can also be hard to find. There's a lot of one-dimensional villains out there, or they're so horribly abusive & homophobic that you just want them to die.

I much prefer villains with some dimension and complexity, though I can be won over by a villain who's just clearly having a ton of fun.

So who to pick...

I do like Vegas a lot, but I kinda don't see him as a villain? He's an antagonist for sure, and does some dark stuff, but he's clearly a victim in a lot of ways, and gets the secondary romance in the story. Not that that's mutually exclusive from villainy, but it's just not how my brain categorizes him.

I looooved Heng's portrayal of Chalothon; he did so much to add dimension to a fairly thinly-written character, but we didn't get to see Chalothon's change of heart, or the incredible acting Heng would have brought to it, so that makes him slip down overall for me. (Can you just imagine the scene of Chalothon giving his Naga soul to Tharn? We get so few good villain turns in BL. I'm so pained at the deprivation).

I do have a soft spot for Aoey in Lovely Writer, largely due to Bruce's acting. He's a very interesting character in terms of a person who had a chance for his own beautiful real love story, and just made all the wrong choices, time after time. (I mean who in their right mind would say no to Chap?)

Oh who are we kidding, y'all know I am a fanatic for Not Me. I'm going to have to go with my boy Todd.

Sing is such a versatile actor, I don't think he gets nearly enough credit for what a chameleon he is. He's really good at fluffy roles for sure, but when he had to turn on the menace as Todd, he absolutely delivered.

He plays Todd's turn from "helpful friend" to "rich bastard" perfectly and in such a believable way. He's chillingly realistic in his belief that the only way to change the world is to buy it, and make it his.

And of course we can't talk about Todd without talking about his relationship with Black, how fucking thrilled Todd is when he realizes Black is awake from his coma (that Todd is responsible for), and how these two consistently try to kill one another, but can't, because of their deep fucked up love (they bone in between fights, you can never convince me otherwise).

Also, the scenes between Gun & Sing are goddamn acting masterclasses.

If we ever get our Joong Archen serial killer show, Sing needs to be his accomplice.

Time to give Emmet's rock bird some love and attention. I really want to pet Archeops' head. It seems like it would have the texture of a smooth rock. I bet it's warm! And I think Archeops gives good hugs. They probably have a lot of arm strength considering how they fly. Their model in Masters makes me giggle because it looks like they're putting everything they have into flying! Working so hard to keep off the ground!!!

They are putting a lot of effort into flying! Their pokedex entry says they're more adept at running, and Emmet says bird is flying to show his hard work to the team.

Archeops probably actually unironically eats rocks to help with digestion. It's a bit scary to see at first, but Emmet eagerly explains why his lovely fossil pokemon is doing that. Archeops likely is prone to rocks, too, due to being a fossil.

Fluffy guy definitely tries to preen you and Emmet when he can while cooing at you both. Ancient bird loooves Emmet and tries to express it by helping make his nest more habitable. (Between the Joltiks, his Eelktross and Archeops, Emmet has given up on trying to have a made bed.)

Arhceops face may feel a bit rock like, but it's definitely alive and filled with life. It actually makes him a great cuddle buddy due to how warm he is. What makes him a bad cuddle buddy is his squawking. He likes to talk and be heard. Emmet has to politely ask him to stop warring against Ingo in the noise department.

All of Emmet's pokemon are unfortunately cursed with the Physically Affectionate need because Emmet is that. Archeops tries to perch on your shoulder if he can and coos sadly if he's unable to. There are times he 100% is trying to hug you and others when he's going in to snatch your food.

All in all, he's a good bird.

Also, imagine being brought back to life after centuries of fossilised and immediately being taken in by one of the best trainers in Unova who likely adores you endlessly and wants to help you become the strongest Archeops in the whole region. Basically, baby Archen trying to sleep with mother Emmet.

Há quem diga que o tailandês fosse muito mimado pelos seus pais adotivos, ele até concorda um pouco, mas também tem a visão de que nunca teve nada na vida, então, porque não poderia ter agora? Não via problema em ser ambicioso, de ter tudo que deseja graça aos esforços dos responsáveis, mesmo que seja difícil de conseguir pela falta de condições. Foi adotado com oito anos, foram oito anos onde não teve uma blusa nova sequer, onde ter coisas próprias e diferentes fossem um luxo enorme. Apenas acha que merece tudo que deseja.

Os seus querer e as suas vontades sempre foram muito bem atendidas, os pais trabalhavam apenas para dar tudo do bom e do melhor para seus três filhos, sendo o do "meio" o mais mimado e que mais recebe atenção, o que já era um caso raro. Em nenhum momento furtou coisas grandes ou dinheiro, era sempre um acessório: um relógio, um óculos, uma corrente, pulseira e/ou anel. Coisas "pequenas", mas que tinham um grande valor. Ele ficou nessa por meses, repetindo e mudando algumas técnicas, indo em lugares diferentes, mas também nos mesmos após esfriar. Mas uma hora a casa iria cair.

O jovem foi obrigado a cumprir trabalho voluntário após ser pego pelos seguranças do shopping, o caso foi para polícia, mas por ser menor de idade, não teve consequências severas. Teve que devolver tudo que foi furtado também e pedir desculpas para cada gerente das lojas roubadas, e com isso ele foi proibido de sequer pisar no Galleria Department Store. Seus pais também o puniram, tiraram a liberdade dele e ainda começaria a trabalhar para poder bancar os luxos que queria, então era da escola, para o trabalho e casa, mas sempre conseguia dar umas escapadas pra se divertir um pouco.

Com alguns anos trabalhando numa loja de roupas de luxo, ele podia ser independente financeiramente e assim que fez vinte e um anos alugou seu primeiro apartamento, no Asphodel Meadows do Acropolis Complex. Se sentia parte dali, um lugar bonito que tinha condições de bancar e ainda passar uma boa imagem para "amigos" de fora. No entanto, se manter no lugar acabou virando uma dificuldade após ser demitido. Conseguiu emprego como auxiliar de fotógrafo, não pagava tão bem quanto o anterior, mas dava pra pagar o aluguel e apenas isso, então ele faz alguns bicos também, trabalhando extra em alguns eventos e sempre topando qualquer coisa que vá o beneficiar.

So like previously mentioned, Danny is definitely a Big Dude in this. Like a really big and bulky dude, who is very gentle with both tiny and giant pokemon alike. Everyone gets affection and carried around like they’re his precious babies. 

Now he definitely has a mimikyu (Perseus) who likes to ride in his shirt pocket, along with a mischievous gengar (Orion) and phantump (Andromeda) he refers to as his son and daughter half jokingly. Ellie also jokingly calls them her siblings whenever she visits and causes mischief with them. 

And he has a miniature army of other wild pokemon who have followed him not just out of the pokemon world but around several dimensions and through time. They’re his lil pals- even when several are larger than him- and he’s their strange ghostly human.

Now he definitely does also have more, but these are the ones constantly following him, not including the ones who instead decided to travel with Ellie, stick with Jazz or go follow after Dan. Or stick with his parents. But y’know, here’s his many travelling friends who just refused to leave him. And most are wild and lacking any sort of pokeballs. Not that it stops him from having a couple of pet carriers or bags that the smaller ones like to hitch a ride in when they can’t perch on him. Or just straight up be carried. 

Damian is on a mission. It is his life goal, at least for now, to convince this stranger to let him have one of the creatures following him. If that means constantly running into him and trying to convince him, fine. If that means getting his father to meet the stranger, so be it as well. 

Currently his goal is for an eevee at the least, but he is also eyeing the other creatures and a couple of eggs that he has no clue what might be too…

Day 27 Pokémon team

Archeops Hybrid Emmet

Appearance

A thin coat of rough fur coats his body starting from the top of his collar bone down to his knees. His arms have a downy layer that thickens at the roots of his arm feathers, but does it stop at his hips or thighs? He won't say...

Feathers run along the undersides of his arms starting from the middle of his bicep down. Though brightly colored they're rough to the touch and ruffle easily. He tries very hard to keep them preened.

Sharp little canines poke out over his bottom lip though he tries very hard to hide them. Usually appear more clearly when he smiles, one rebelliously hitching over the curl of his mouth.

Back of his hands have scales along his knuckles, as well as along the top of his feet. His nails are sharper and he trims them regularly, wearing thicker gloves to prevent tearing.

Markings on his face! A blue streak of scales runs down the bridge of his nose and over his eyebrows and forehead disappearing into his hairline.

Has a tail! Keeps it well hidden under the length of his coat to prevent little children pulling or playing with it. It's also verrry sturdy and strong enough to wallop someone into a wall if he needed to.

General

Works at Gearstation. While not considered the prettiest of hybrids, being an ancient hybrid gives him an advantage of legal protection.

Mother was a Haxorus hybrid and father was human. Ingo being a Haxorus himself was expected, he was not. The gene for Archeops is recessive and mainly appears in reptile hybrid families.

His coat had to be adjusted for the feathers along his arms. The sleeves split down the bottom of his arms in slits. It's easy to slip on, but ruffles his feathers upon taking it off. Largely wears short sleeves or tank tops to combat it.

Can't fly, as his bones are too dense for the already weak flying abilities of an Archeops. He's not too bothered with it though, as flying is not one of his favorite transports.

Doesn't talk too much about his Archen years. his mother will tell you that yes, he was at one point fluffy and chirped cutely. He will deny it to the grave.

His room tends to become a mess of feathers due to how often they shed. Archeops weren't designed to be hybrid types.

Allows smaller children to hang off his tail if they're good.

Collects shiny things! He swears it's not because he's part bird hybrid (even though it, kind of is)

And most importantly

If he wanted to court someone, he'd give one of his pinion feathers as a courting gift

#255 Torchic #256 Combusken #257 Blaziken

If I were to rename these, they'd be Glabillus, Mogallus, and Gapillus, respectively.

Glabillus/Torchic is based on a featherless chicken. Mogallus/Combusken is based on a chicken that just happens to be really really fluffy, wherease Gapillus/Blaziken is based on a Silkie.

I would imagine these having Snow Cloak as a hidden ability. Their non-hidden ability would go Dry Skin -> Big Pecks -> Fur Coat.

I like this line to come back on because it really served as an exercise in figuring out what to cut and what to add without making things too involved.

Torchic has the colors of Scizor, but uses no other sprites. Combusken has wings from Archen. Blaziken uses parts from Combusken and Rufflet.
