How do you clean scavenged bones in a way that makes them safe for pokemon reuse?

Bury them until decomposition of the soft bits is complete, then a soak in a degreasing solution (soap and water or acetone), then a hydrogen peroxide solution to whiten them, then a good rinse with plain water. Maceration (soaking in water to allow decomposition) is faster than burial, but it stinks to high heaven and I don't really have enough outdoor space to justify it.
