Plance mermaid AU?

 I mean isn’t this already cannon?

I’ma switch this up and say Pidge is a mermaid, but not like your usual little mermaid type of mermaid

She lived in lake rather than the ocean, however, he did at one time live in the ocean, but hurricanes and all moved her

Pidge doesn’t mind as she kinda likes the Lake better? The ocean was too busy for her plus the Lake isn’t heavily populated so she can be above water

One day however she pops up and comes face to face with a guy getting ready to get in the water

“Oh I didn’t know anyone else was-”

aBSCOND UNDERWATER PIDGE DOES

Lance is like “?” and swims to where she was 

When she doesn’t come up after like five minutes homeboy loses his shit thinking she drowned and begins swimming around under the water trying to find her when a big green fishtail smacks him unconscious

A panicked Pidge quickly realizes and lugs the (heavy) human male back to shore before disappearing into the water

Lance awakes to the sun setting when he swore it had just been high in the sky, also why was there a sopping wet blanket on him?

He looks to the water and remembers the girl, had he dreamt all of it? No, he had seen the girl with his own two eyes, but if that was the case where did she go?

He decided to come back to the next day and low and behold there is the girl again  with her back to him as she is pu- THAT IS A TAIL! SHE HAS HALF A FISH BODY! A FUCKING REAL LIFE MERMAID

Lance has to cover his mouth in order not to scream as he watches the girls back while the wind blows her damp brown locks around.

Pinching himself he realized this was real, mermaids were real and one was right in front of him…A really pretty one admittedly.

He quietly swims over and under the rock she is on and peeks up at her face, it’s covered in freckles and her eyes are the color of river stones that shine in the sun

Yes he looked at her breasts, not because he was being pervy, but mainly due to curiosity and she had some kind of like green leafy spotty stuff covering her breasts and nipples

When Pidge noticed Lance she screams and so does he, but luckily Lance manages to grab her wrist

“I’m not gonna hurt you!”

Pidge struggles a bit trying to hit him with her tail but, Lance is a fish out of water apparently and is pretty nimble when he knows it’s coming

She calms down and sighs

“What do you want human?”

“One, my name is Lance, and two I wanted to talk to you.”

Pidge blinked

“Pidge.”

“What?”

“That’s my name. Pidge.”

“Alright, Pidge, how did you end up in a lake?”

They start meeting every day and each day they teach each other about human and mermaid culture like Lance learned that to a Mermaid the sound of crashing waves is equivalent to thunder before a storm

Lance stops by one day and Pidge is asleep on her rock, he swims over and for some reason, his eyes fall on her lips, they are so small and weirdly pink also they form a cute little pout without trying? How the hell was she this cute?!

He gently places a kiss on her lips seconds before Pidge began to wake  up

“Did I fall asleep?’

Lance nods

Pidge touches her lips “why do my lips tingle?

he forced a blush down, oh god was he caught?

“Did..Did you kiss me?

yep. caught red..lipped?

“I wasn’t thinking, it just…I’m sorry i’l leave.”

Pidge grabbed his arm

“It’s just what?”

“It’s just that…well you’re adorable without even trying and when your lips look as kissable as you’re especially with that pout of yours..”

“Your lips are pretty kissable looking too.”

“Wh-”
