“Two clearly gay characters” I never once saw what klance shippers saw, where were they clearly gay? Inb4 I cradled you in my arms (I thought it was a funny joke about Keith and lance being rivals yet teammates) and… I actually can’t think of a single other piece of evidence I’ve seen

Also people don’t have to ship anything they don’t want to, even if it’s canon (ie I don’t care for kataang), or even if there’s insanely strong gay subtext (ie idgaf if others don’t ship shuake). Even if klance or whoever these other people are actually were canon, people aren’t obligated to ship them

also lance and pidge had way more evidence and were infinitely cuter anyways okay bye

Fandom Problem #8297:

Two clearly gay characters: basically do everything a gay couple would do, are heavily queer-coded, can’t live without each other (are basically canonically gay in every way except for being confirmed by the creator or in canon)

Some idiots in the fandom: uhhhhhhh I don’t ship them! I only see them as friends! I only see them as brothers! They aren’t confirmed in canon/by the creator as gay so I don’t have to ship them! So to me they’re only friends! 😀😀😀

You’re either too stupid to recognize blatant queer coding when you see it, or you’re homophobic. So which one is it?

(For the record this is about characters like Lance/Kieth from Voltron, Yu/Mika from Owari no Seraph, Reki/Langa and Joe/Cherry from Skate the Infinity specifically, but I’m sure there are other examples).

The small trickling of plance/pidgance/lidge shippers liking my longful desire post to get back to drawing those lil shits literally makes my day sometimes, when I'm burnt out after capitalistic job.

Even if snail pace, slowly it's been encouraging me to set back up my room and art space to be in a better place to fall back love with art and a long missed fandom.

I've purged my other social medias to eventual rebrand or whatever but left the time capsule that is Tumblr alone and seeing old post still get traction all these years later is incredible

The fact that i got into the voltron franchise was because of Plance (pidge x lance) instead of klance (keith x lance) was definitely a black sheep experience 💀
