Behold, the fabled stim post!
Stede
- The Classic, flappy hands <3
- rocks back and forth on his feet
- spins/twirls, especially to music
- walks on his toes if he's not wearing shoes
- bites his nails as a nervous stim
- stims with nice fabrics <3
- paces when he's nervous
- snapping/clicking his fingers
Ed
- shakes his fists up and down
- bounces
- drums his fingers on surfaces
- taps his feet against the floor
- give him some drum sticks and he'll go wild, the man is a drummer
- loves pressure stims. weighted blankets, getting Stede to lay directly on top of him, and the feeling of tight leather are some of his favorites
- also stims with nice fabrics, but most the ones Stede is wearing
Izzy
- Running his hands along Poppy's fur
- nail polish asmr videos
- draws on his skin and clothes with markers absentmindedly, specifically really likes drawing stars
- hums the tunes of his favorite songs when he's alone
Olu
- sort of specific one here: he pulls his knees to his chest and then pulls his hoodie over his legs
- fidgets with rubik's cubes
- yo-yo king, king of the yo-yo
- blows bubbles. really likes those bubble wands that look like swords
Jim
- This one is kinda specific, but I think they have one of those practice butterfly knives that they spin around a lot. They want a real one but they aren't allowed to have one just yet.
- cutting wood with their pocket knife
- rips leaves off of plants and tears them up
- popping the bubbles that Olu blows
Lucius
- Stim toys galore. Has more pop-its and cute squishies than strictly necessary, but uses them all often. aways has several in his backpack. He'll share with anyone who needs one
- chew necklaces that he matches to his outfits
- flippy sequins!
- claps his hands and bounces when excited
- calligraphy asmr videos. with the sparkly ink <3
- dances as a happy stim
John
- pulls his arms into his sweater sleeves
- has one of those 3D printed slug fidget toys that he carries around a lot
- swimming as a stim! the water feels nice
Pete
- stress balls! specifically those ones with the goo inside and the nets around them.
- punches at the air when he's excited
Frenchie
- Flappy hands with sweater paws!
- also has lots of stim toys! really likes fidget cubes
- slaps his hands against any surface. tables, walls, his own legs.
- always humming and whistling
Buttons
- bird sounds! he'll echo different calls that he hears
- just generally repeats sounds he hears
- animal stims. will pet any animal for long periods of time.
Roach
- slime!
- loves how soft flour is, will shove his hands in a bag of flour
- bites his fingers
- finger painting
- fidgets with those stretchy lizard toys
- rainbow groan tube
Swede
- bites the straw on his water bottle
- runs his hands along his favorite blanket
- vocal stims from his favorite cartoons :]
and now, shared stims!
- I think most of them, if they make a sound at someone in the house, the other will echo it back most of the time. if several of them are in one spot they just go on with this for a bit.
- Ed and Frenchie are the musical boys, and if one of them starts humming or whistling or drumming a beat, the other will probably join
- Ed and Stede both fidget with their wedding rings <3 (they also eventually catch onto this and think it's very sweet they both do it)
- Ed, Lucius, and Swede are the chewy necklace gang.
- watching stim videos is a family activity, they all give their input on which ones they like or don't like after each one
- Ed and Stede will hold hands and spin together, but they can't do it for very long. Very good stim for very high happy energies :]
please share with me any other stims you think any of them would have <3 or if you do any of these let me know!

Roller Chain Fidget
^their picture
^my picture
This fidget was bought for me as a gift from my wishlist from amazon, where it cost $11.59 and came in a set with an infinity cube, a two-lobed fidget pad, and three bike chain flippy fidgets.
Stimmieness 8/10 I like to stim with this fidget by rolling it around my thumb. It feels kind of like one of those massage wire ring thingys.
Durability 10/10 I tried to break it, but i couldn’t. the rubber rings might break eventualy, but I’m pretty confident they’ll last at least a year.
Messieness 9/10 I haven’t broken it, but if it does ever break I think I’ll be left with two or three easily disposable peices.
Noise 8/10 it makes a very quiet noise when i fidget or stim with it, and if i tap it I can get it to be a little louder.
Category: Squash and Joint, also some Squish. I can fidget with it by squishing the joints around or I can stim with it by rolling it around my thumb, which provides pressure.
Overall 8/10 it’s not always the kind of thing I want, but I can use it multiple different ways, and it’s quite durable.

£13.95 from Amazon (named “OBEDA Sensory Toys for for Autism, ADHD, Stress Relief, Anti-Anxiety. Fidget Toys Set for Kids and Adults. Liquid Motion Timer, Dinosaur Squeeze Balls, Flippy Chain and More”)
ordered on the 8th july, arrived on the 13th july (though this may vary depending on your location)
came with 3 small cards with ‘happy birthday’, ‘i love you’ and ‘be unique’ written on them, so if intended as a gift, you could use these as tags (i will be saving these cards to use at a later date)
Basketball Foam Ball
Personally, i’m not a big fan of foam stress balls but this one seems to be high quality for those that do enjoy them. It’s quite firm, so it made my hand sore within a few minutes of use (however, if you’re more used to firm stress balls this may not apply to you). it does make a noise when you squish it (the air being pushed in and out of the ball) but its not particularly loud so could be used in a busy classroom, for example. Very fast-rising so returns to its original shape as soon as you stop squishing it.
Dinosaur Stress Balls
Similar to the traditional orbeez-style stress ball in a net, but the net is replaced by a rubbery dinosaur. the dinosaurs have holes in so when you squish them, part of the ball inside pokes out the holes. i haven’t tried to remove the dinosaur part, but i think it would be possible if you would rather just have the ball inside. Does make a ‘squish’ noise due to the orbeez. Good quality and doesn’t feel like it would break easily. They do look quite childish and obvious in appearance, so if you’re going for subtlety these may not be the best toy for you. Definitely my personal favourite toys in the box!
Peas In A Pod
You squish the pod and the peas pop out the top. Simple but effective. They also come with a thread and a chain so you can attach them to a bag, purse etc. so easily portable. Almost completely silent so good for quiet situations.
Bike Chain Fidgets
Two metal rings that loop through each other infinitely. took me a while to figure out how they work, but once i did i found it very therapeutic. a simple, repetitive action that’s very enjoyable. Very quiet so good for quiet situations. Also doesn’t stand out much in appearance, so won’t draw too much attention.
Rubbery Stretchy Strings
Six differently-coloured rubber strings that can be stretched. personally, i like to twist several together and stretch them as it feels more durable. really good for relieving stress or getting rid of excess energy. however, not very subtle as the strings are very colourful and the action of stretching them is very obvious to onlookers.
Oil Timer
my second favourite item in this kit. blue and pink bubbles slowly float down to the bottom, never mixing. a very soothing visual stim and id highly recommend purchasing one even if you don’t get this kit (it’s also available in different colours if purchased separately). made of very durable-feeling plastic so won’t break if dropped. completely silent and very smooth to touch.
Overall
I’d highly recommend this kit. You get a lot for the price and the variety of toys seems good. It’s also fairly affordable (though if it’s too expensive for you, you can purchase most of the toys separately). My favourites were the dinosaur stress balls and the oil visual timer.

My Pinkie headcanon
My fav headcanon(a lot of this is based on me cuz I identify with Pinkie a loooooot, but not all of it ) for Pinkie pie is he is a transcolt(boy), can be feminine(I just get that vibe off pinkie), pan romantic, grey ace, pansexual (when sexual), adhd(possibly autistic), stims by bouncing, flapping, sometimes rocking (various kinds) when it feels right, and a bunch of other body stims(swings, loves seeing body stims represented), things that click(clicker, bead strings, etc), collects stim toys (especially tangles and other fiddly things like that (those rings flippy things, bottle caps that click, chewies)), collects random things he likes, super noomy(runs around a lot, in quick bursts, kind of like a cheetah or a fox), sweets are totally a special interest, loves the color blue, loves pastels(and most colors really), loves video games (a bunch of different ones), loves animals(gummy is his favorite of course), hard worker, great friend, gets over-stimmed while traveling(ways of traveling that aren't walking) cuz he can't move like he needs to(it's worse if it's cramped), also stims by playing with his hair (thought when he cut his hair short he shaved his head cuz he wanted to know what it was like and it was weird cuz he couldn't play with it then, like he would reach up to play with it forgetting he had shaved it and it's just like oh...right shaved, so he would just rub his hoof over it giggling. For a while he just stumped by petting it cuz it was so different from how it used to be. ) and was super duper happy when I got long enough again. (the hair bit is super based on me, my hair looks really similar to the first pic and I stim with my hair literally constantly). Loves (nice) ponies, is kind of awkward(but doesn't always realise it and doesn't let it stop him when he does), has anxiety but deals with it pretty well, doesn't have anxiety attacks too often (and ignores the near constant state of general anxiety), gets super tired after a whole whole lot of being around a whole bunch of unfamiliar ponies(but doesn't often realise it, so days off are just super tired pinkie recoup days), has problems sleeping(the adhd) so he stays up super late, often baking or working on other projects, planning parties, etc. I may add to this, but it's already a lot so I'm not sure.

Note
What fidget/stim toys would be good for use at work? I need something quiet and unobtrusive.
Anything in black or silver. Boinks fidget, Tangle relax therapy, thinking/silly putty, spinner ring, isoflex stress ball, one of those sleek looking fidget pens, some kind of chain link flippy fidget, I’ve heard good things about the thinket but they’re very pricey, massage rings, neodymium magnets.
I’d also recommend a balance cushion for your desk chair if you have one.
Hope this helps!
