ED FANCIES THE SWEDE is real timeline mega post

The way everyone ignores that Ed fancies the Swede saddens me

But it is real. Follow me on this journey

The Swede was the first person Ed greets by himself on the ship and later he tells him 'love the rope, everyone's wearing rope' about his rope suspenders, mirroring when he later tells him 'love the new look'.

ED WAS LITERALLY THE ONLY ONE THERE FOR HIM PRE-MAKEOVER. He was out there being Swede's #1 supporter when everyone just ignored him and later he is the first to compliment him on his singing, once to Stede and once to his face.

He then compliments the Swede on his new look and looks impressed when Jackie brags about his ~prowess~ in the bedroom.

Like always, the Swede just giggles and acts shy at anything Ed says. He is not brave enough to really say anything to Ed but he is visibly flattered. This is pretty much the same way he acts around Jackie so I think he probably fancies Ed as well. He doesn't act nearly as giggly around Stede, Oluwande and other crewmates and can actually have a normal conversation with them.

AND. And. The Swede's song triggers Ed's PTSD and makes him go Kraken. You hear it playing faintly in the final episode before he puts his leathers back on.
