Week 2 and 23 wks to C2C
Decided to count forwards as well as counting down to the big ride of 2018
So week 2 Monday I stood on the scales and I was not a happy man, 15 stone 8.4 pounds or 218.4 lbs or 99.kg
To put it bluntly a fat git so I've made a plan to eat no more than 2000 calories a day and to start getting more active.
Well it's now Sunday I've been using an app called noom too record my food and roughly work out the calories and I have managed to stay under the 2000 calorie limit. however today being Christmas eve there will be a certain amount of social eating going on over the next 7-8 days. so while I'm hoping I will have lost a little weight over the past week.... for the week ahead I will still try to monitor the calorie count but to be realistic I'll be happy to maintain the weight and if I do put on a pound or two that'll be fine too given there's an expectation of seasonal indulgence.
Activity - short answer is what fucking activity!
while I've not set foot in a gym or sat on bike yet.. i must admit I have made a concious effort to slightly up my activity levels this week by walking to the tramstop on a couple of days and on Friday walking a couple of extra stops before getting the tram home. Probably totaled an extra hour or so of activity over the course of a week. Not a lot but it was an hour more than nothing.
Activity for the coming week might be a bit sparce give the obligatory seasonal social interaction and the return to work on Wednesday. however I'll do what I can, even if it's just a brisk walk to and from the tramstop on the work days.. That ll = 6 × 12 minutes if I do it.. So not ban for the festive week eh...
That said I am going to start the getting fitter in Ernest from the following week (wk commencing 1st Jan 2018) the ideal is a minimum of 3 gym or swim sessions and 1 bike ride a week I'm not going to beat my self up if I don't manage it by the end on the first week of 2018 but it would be nice to have managed it by the end of January. ...and then continue it as a baseline level of activity from there...
Watch this space and here's hoping the fat bloke in the red suit brings you something nice.
