Sadly, I think this might not be quite as gender-fucky as you hoped! This wip has become a mess because trying to construct a logically consistent society out of the omegaverse is enough to drive any man to madness, but the original intent was to explore omegaverse "gender" roles as dictated by the instincts usually attributed to alphas an omegas. Basically, I think alpha YQY and omega SJ would both feel incredibly ill-suited to the expectations placed upon their dynamic/secondary sex. 

The initial idea was that SJ grew up assuming YQY would present as an omega, and SJ developed preconceived notions of what their futures would be like because of that. When he reencounters YQY at the IAC and finds out that YQY is an alpha, it feels like an additional betrayal of the version of Yue Qi that SJ had built up in his mind. Ofc, YQY is still the same sensitive and nurturing person. At the same time as SJ is projecting the false expectations onto YQY, he presents as an omega (late, as a QJP disciple), and is immediately horrified at how people might apply that sort of expectation to him. 

I still haven't figured out where I want to go with the overarching plot of this one, but I'm really attached to the idea of bad alpha YQY x bad omega SJ being idiots about social expectations.

I am nineteen years old, and will be twenty in 25 days! My birthday is February 14th and I am an Aquarius.
