Fish's tone couldn't have been less cordial. She gauged the man in front of her, eyebrows knitted together. "And what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be at the park, feeding ducks?"

She took an annoyed sip from her glass, scanning the room quickly. It was a very select party, the fancy kind she usually wouldn't be invited to. But this was work, and she was undercover, posing as a rich heiress. She supposed Edgar had good reasons to be here, being (on the surface at least) a diplomat and all. But still, how annoying! She still remembered their last encounter, and it hadn't exactly gone smoothingly.

"Don't mess this up for me this time," she warned between her teeth, "I'm working."

one thing you don't note is that despite the figures being shot from a high angle, thus making them agnostic to the direction of the bodies, their shadows are parallel to the uniform patern of bodies, creating a sense of unease, the fact no shadows overlap also add to this eerieness. also worth noting that the visual information for what the man is holding is in the shadow, since the shadow clearly shows it's shape which is just MWAH good photography.

Yeah it is such good visual work by all parties involved! Something would definitely get lost if we had overlapping shadows.

I felt like my post was already too wordy but the shadow for the gas mask is one of my favorite parts.

Canto 7 made me realise that Don Quixote is actually relatable as hell. Like she’s so hyperfixated on fixers, constantly rambling and getting overexcited over the slightest mention of the topic yet (almost) everyone else doesn’t give a damn. In fact sometimes they actively find it annoying.

Sure, I agree Don is bothersome when she lets her interest and over-the-top sense of justice get in the way of reality and ruin certain plans or get into trouble. But watching her be so happy while everyone else doesn’t care hits hard. Especially with the mention that most of them have been avoiding listening to Don’s rants. And the additional mention that Don kept asking the others about their own adventures before Limbus Company, showing that she finds her friends interesting and wants to know them more, but nobody has ever asked Don about her adventures.

Like. You guys know that feeling when you try your best to research or at least have a general understanding of the interests of all your friends so that they can freely talk to you about it and the two of you could discuss it to your heart’s content, but whenever you bring up your own interests all you get is a reply like “Oh ok” “Cool” or hell no reply at all? It’s kind of like that. Except maybe unlike Don who keeps on waffling regardless, we get the weird sense of guilt thinking that our arbitrary rant bothered our friends. Thus making us believe we should never mention our interests to them ever again.

Absolute punch in the gut realisation for me and we’re still in part 1.

Fish was scared, too. Not that she wasn't used to the feeling. Fear had been like a shadow, for the past 5 years. Always following her, everywhere she went. Of course, it had followed her to 13, too. But this was different, now. Less of a warning, more of a... certainty.

President Snow wanted her dead.

She was pacing around the room in a storm of blue hair. The charming mask of the Mermaid from District 4 was gone: her eyebrows were knitted together, her hands clenched into fists.

"I can't," she finally said, settling down on a grey, metallic chair (everything was grey here). "I'm stuck. I can't stay here, I can't go back to the Capitol-" unless she killed Edgar, "and I can't go home."

She was being selfish. He'd saved her life, and she was throwing a temper tantrum. Lips pursed, she looked at her feet. "You could leave. You could find a way out."
