I need a blurry home-video style mashup of domestic recordings of Buck and Eddie together- with Photograph playing in the background like it did the day after the tsunami- and I need it playing at the end of their wedding.

End credits to their slowburn.

Buck, covered in flour and laughing at Eddie who's behind the camera. Eddie, shaving in the bathroom, catching Buck and the camera's gaze in the mirror and rolling his eyes affectionately. Chris setting up the camera on a timer and rushing to join Eddie and Buck in front of the skyline. Blurry video frames that are half Jee-yun and half the rest of the family, all at a picnic together. Dark night-time clips of Athena recording Hen, shushing the camera and pointing at Eddie and Buck laughing together in Bobby's kitchen, slightly flushed from the alcohol and utterly head over heels for each other in every sense of the phrase. Cut to the final frame, the two of them cutting into their wedding cake together; Buck, teary eyed, beaming grin splitting his face; Eddie, completely breathless, watching Buck smile at the camera for a full minute before reaching up to kiss him so so gently.

i think my fav thing about this fic is how Firestar collects moms like they're trading cards. he had spottedleaf, the OG mom, but also willowpelt, bluestar, yellowfang, and formerly frostfur xD they see him and go "is anybody going to parent that?" and they dont wait for an answer.

Back on my shifter fic The Lost and The Found which is being written for @monsterrae1 birthday

Buck’s just had some pretty upsetting news.. his family gather round.

“Shift? It will help.”

It’s a request, nothing more. Bobby feels him nod and then Buck moves away and the familiar sandy fur and blue eyes are back. Chim presses in close at once and Buck whines quietly in response.

Bobby makes a phone call then shifts himself, presses black fur up against Buck on the other side to Chim. It doesn’t take too long for Buck’s loft door to open and Athena and Hen to round the corner.

He lifts his head as Athena closes the distance between them. They lock eyes, understanding each other even when in opposite forms. Hen changes first, joining the pile, then Athena shifts too after a quick caress to Buck’s then Bobby’s ears. She’s large and strong and Bobby’s so proud to be her mate, to be able to love her and receive her love in return. She takes her place next to him and while he lowers his head back to rest on Buck’s flank she stays upright. Alert and ready to protect her family in whatever way is needed.
