Sandwings, Draco arenicolus

My lovely babies. Mostly the same as my original ones, but a bit more armored like an armadillo. Also new chin spikes and a forward facing nose spike for funsies. They're well built for walking long distances and do so quite regularly, and have good low-light vision, as walking during the night is much less energy-taxing than flying during the day. Their flat feet and blunt claws help with this as well.

This Sandwing is doing a very good example of a defensive posture, as Sandwing bellies are much less armored than their backs, they lower themselves and may even flatten themselves entirely when engaging in a fight.

Also I will be continuing my long-eared Sandwing propaganda and no one can stop me :)

You accidentally stole the butter from the grocery shop, and now your mercenary leader husband is coming to your rescue.

“I stole it Rasui, I’m a criminal now.” You cry into the phone, the loud noise distorted slightly through your fire-y boyfriend’s phone.

“Habibti, just go back and pay— It’s alright, you didn’t mean to.” He tries his best to calm you down, and yet. . . Sobs begin cascading out of his speaker. His eyes closing shut as he tries his hardest not to laugh.

“I can’t— They-Whatiftheythinki’mathief?!” That does it- Your slurred and frantic sob yanks out a loud and abrupt fit of laughter that he can’t control. Each and every laugh rolls out of him like magma trickling down the volcano that previously spewed out it’s contents.

“This isn’t funny baby!” You call through the phone, “I’m being very serious!!”

“I know and It’s funny— Habibti, just stay there and wait f’me.” He laughs, wiping away the small flames coming out of his eyes. Like tears.

“I’ll come pay for it.”
