Ellen was holding a sleeping six month of Jack in her arms and Jim was holding a two year old Quinn’s hand as they walked into Jacqueline’s hospital room.

Ellen and Jim had offered to be there for Jacqueline during deliver but she declined not minding doing it alone.

Her labor was very quick and Ellen and Jim were only waiting in the lobby for under an hour.

Jim felt his face soften seeing his baby sister okay only looking a little tried and sweaty but she was absolutely glowing as she looked at the little bundle in her arms.

Jacqueline looked up and beamed seeing her family, “Meet Finnleigh Tate Hughes.” She very proudly introduced.

“Baby?” Little Quinn asked curiously looking up at his aunt with wonder.

“That’s right Q.” Jacqueline fondly smiled at her godson nodding at her brother to let Quinn up.

Quinn was set down in the bed next to his aunt and he gently sat down next to her and looked at his baby cousin in awe, “Pretty.” Quinn mumbled with a happy smile.

Jacqueline smiled happily.

“Well done.” Jim proudly told his baby sister as he walked over to her and pressed a kiss to the top of her head.

“Thank you.” Jacqueline smiled softy at her family as she gently reached out and grabbed her sister in laws hand and squeezed gently.

“She’s beautiful.” Ellen whispered leaning closer to Jacqueline and looking at her niece in awe. Ellen was so excited when she found Jacqueline would be having a girl and she is happy to finally have a girl in the family.

Quinn gasped softly as his baby cousin opened her eyes and they were so pretty, so bright blue, “Her eyes are like Aunty JJ and Jacky.” Quinn told the adults in the room.

Jim smiled remembering seeing his second born son’s eyes and realizing they are exactly the same as his sister and now his niece has the same.

Jacquline smiled just so happy as she held her biggest gift.

“When are you allowed home?” Jim asked her.

When Ellen and Jim found about her pregnancy they told her that there is always room for her in their house. Jacqueline declined at first but Jim and Ellen are persistent and want her and her child to stay with them as long as they want.

“Tomorrow morning.” Jacqueline answered making Ellen and Jim nod.

“Oh!” Jim remember and grabbed something out of Ellen’s purse, “I got her something.” Jim set a light gray bunny stuff animal next to his sister.

Jacqueline smiled and thanked her brother not knowing that the bunny would become Finnleigh’s absolutely favorite toy in the world and would bring it with her everywhere.

Ellen, Jim, Quinn and Jack all stayed with Jacqueline and Finnleigh for a few hours until it was time for the boys to get put to bed and Ellen and Jim promised to be back at the hospital bright and early to take them home.

Jacqueline looked out the window and saw a full moon and smiled as she looked back down at her sleeping baby in her arms, “Hello my little moon.” Jacqueline cooed at her little love. Finnleigh cooed softly back.

Finnleigh was holding hands with two year old Jack and an almost four year old Quinn walked right being them with Jacqueline guiding them into the hospital room where Ellen and Jim were.

Ellen had just given birth to her third son and the last one she wanted to have.

Jim looked up and smiled seeing his little sister, his sons and his niece, “Come meet Luke Warren Hughes.” Jim was beaming as he proudly introduced his youngest son who was lying in his arms.

“Luke?” Jacqueline asked with a wry smile looking shocked.

“After his awesome Aunty J.” Ellen softly piped in with a smile, Jim and Ellen both wanted each of their boys to be somewhat named after Jacqueline and they all are.

“Hi Luke.” Jacqueline softly cooed at her littlest nephew once her brother handed him to her.

Jacqueline sat down on the chair letting the three little ones look at the newest addition to their family curious.

“Lukey.” A two year Finnleigh softly said looking at him in awe.

“Lukey.” Jim repeated with a fond smile sharing a fond look with his wife not surprised Finnleigh was the one who picked out a nickname for Luke already.

Finnleigh leaning against the chair and her little head laying on her mom’s head as Quinn as sat down and held Luke first. Then Jack sat down and held Luke next.

“Wanna hold him my little moon?” Jacqueline softly asked her daughter running a hand over her natural ringlet curls.

Finnleigh softly nodded and gently sat down next to her mom and slowly Jacqueline handed Luke to her.

“Hi.” Finnleigh softly whispered to the baby smiling softly at him, “Baby brother?” Finnleigh looked up to her mom for an answer.

Jacqueline paused not sure how to answer.

Jim walked over and kneeled down in front of his niece and goddaughter, “Yeah your little brother.” Jim gave a reassuring look to his sister as he ran a hand over Finnleigh’s hair.

Jim and Ellen both planned to have Jacqueline and Finnleigh live with them and they would never not let Finnleigh call the boys her brothers.

Finnleigh softly nodded and looked back down at her baby brother.

Jacqueline smiled as Quinn and Jack both leaned against her and looked around the room as their family felt complete.

oh yes you best believe the three were in mclaren because they would never want to be in another garage but with finnleigh, the car wasn’t the best that weekend but finnleigh still had an incredible race and very entertaining race to watch, she definitely enjoyed seeing jack, she loves when her family comes to her races

Finnleigh Tate Hughes was born December 18, 2001 from her mother Jacqueline Luce Hughes, the younger sister of Jim Hughes.

Finnleigh was born from a one night stand and never knew her father, Jacqueline wanted her daughter to grow up knowing her family so Jim and Ellen happily had Jacqueline and Finnleigh live with them making everyone’s lives easier.

Finnleigh has never considered Quinn, Jack and Luke her cousins but her brothers, she lives her entire life living with them and she will always consider them her brothers, just as the three will all consider her their sister.

Everyone in the family but Finnleigh all love the ice and hockey but Finnleigh absolutely hated it and growing up wanted to be no where near the ice. So once day they have went go kart and it was easy to notice how well Finnleigh did, despite never driving anything before, Jacqueline knew than that she would be seeing a lot more of Finnleigh driving.

When Finnleigh got more and more into karting Jacqueline and Finnleigh started to travel more and more to the UK for karting races and eventually Formula races. They were still home in Toronto or Michigan often.

Jim Hughes absolutely adored his baby sister and with Ellen’s permission they named each of their sons after his sister some how, Quinn was simpler because Jim use to call his sister Qu and that’s how they got Quinn’s name. Jack was easy because her name was Jacqueline and Luke was just as easy as Luce was her middle name.

Unfortunately the family didn’t stay happy for ever, Jacqueline passed sway in September, 2020 just days before Finnleigh was supposed to win the F2 Championship.

Finnleigh was never the same after her mother’s death and disappeared from everyone but the Hughes for a few months only showing up to preseason testing in 2021 for Formula one.

Finnleigh became teammates in her rookie year with Lando Norris when she joined Mclaren in 2021. She didn’t know how much she would end up needing Lando and how much Lando would end up needing her.
