Aiden and Mack having a little heart to heart about her and Will because he’s pleased for her but just wants to let her know that is she isn’t happy (like she wasn’t with last bf) she can always talk to him and he’ll sort it out!! And she’s just so happy with Will but is also so happy her brother is willing to stand up for her, even when he approves of the relationship!! just some sweet brother sister content 👀

ooo yeah there is a definitely a aiden and maleness conversation that’s going to happen! and aiden is for sure reassuring making sure she knows he always been on her side no matter what! mackenzie always worried aiden wasn’t on her side but he always was and he would easily choose her over anyone so it’s always nice for her to hear that! they would probably talk be when aiden sees mackenzie for Christmas (so the fic won’t be out very soooonnn)

“Are you sure?” Mackenzie asked Will again as she sat on his bed in the hotel room, she was fiddling with her rings.

Will and Mackenzie talked this morning about telling at least best friends and siblings about their relationship. Mackenzie really wanted to tell her people but she didn’t want to if Will wasn’t ready.

“Hey.” Will firmly but gently spoke as he sat down next to her resting his hand on her hand stopping her fiddling, “I don’t care who knows, the whole world can know or no one con know it is your choice and it’s your choice if people find out.” Will reassured her softly.

Mackenzie slowly nodded and smiled a little smile and nodded, “Okay who first?” Mackenzie asked her boyfriend, she’s still getting over her shock that he is her boyfriend now.

Will sat on the bed next to her and they both leaned against the headboard, “Do you want to go first?” Will offered her grabbing one of her hands and gently intertwining their hands.

Mackenzie nodded and grabbed her phone clicking on her group chat with Aiden, Connor and Cole and clicked face time.

“MackMackMack!” Cole immediately rambled out the second he joined the call.

“Shush.” Connor playfully shushed Cole when he joined, “Hi Kenzie!”

Mackenzie grinned as Cole started arguing with Connor over getting shushed and saw Aiden laughing.
Will smiled amused from where he was sitting next to Mackenzie not on the camera, he didn’t realize close Connor and Cole are.

Aiden cleared his throat stopping Cole and Connor’s playfully arguing, “Hi Zie what’s up?” Aiden asked knowing his sister well enough to know this isn’t a random face time call.

Mackenzie cleared her throat and shared a look with Will who gave her a reassuring look, “Uh you guys may have been right about Will.” Mackenzie awkwardly mumbled out not sure what to say.

“Right about what?” Connor raised a knowing eyebrow.

“I’m dating Will.” Mackenzie blurted out and showed Will on screen making him wave softly.

“Ha! i was right Cole!” Connor grinned his playfully and competitive side coming out.

“Buzz off.” Cole groaned dramatically rubbing his face annoyed he lost the bet by just over a week.

“I won.” Connor teased with a teasing smile making Cole flip him off.

“Won what?” Mackenzie asked suspiciously narrowing her eyes at the screen making Connor and Cole both freeze.

“Nothing!” They both said in unison but Mackenzie just stared at the screen.

“Wemadeabetwhenyouandwillwouldgettogetherwithryanandgabe.” Cole quickly rambled out.

“You made a bet with Ryan and Gabe?” Mackenzie didn’t even look surprised and Will shook his head because his best friends would do this.

“Maybe.” Cole dragged out as Aiden just laughed, Once Ryan found out about Cole and Connor’s bet he wanted in and he dragged Gabe into it too.

“Connor won than?” Mackenzie smirked teasing making Connor nod and grin.

“Unfortunately, couldn’t you have gotten together in October!” Cole complained.

“I’m so very sorry.” Mackenzie sarcastically spoke making Will snicker amused.

“Thank you.” Cole playfully nodded.

“Anyways, i’m glad you are together now,” Aiden piped in giving a supportive smile, “Smith treat her the way she deserves and we will have no problems.”

Aiden thought he would be more worried when Mackenzie started dating again but he has seen Will an show Will treats Mackenzie and Aiden knows it’s not like the situation with Mackenzie’s past relationship where Aiden thought he was good for her and wasn’t because everyone agreed Will is perfect for Mackenzie.

“I promise.” Will truthfully promised making the three boys all nod satisfied. They will give him more shovel talks when they see him next but for now he’s approved by them.

Mackenzie and Will talked with the three for a little bit more before saying bye and hanging up.

“One down.” Will softly spoke pressing a slow and soft kiss to Mackenzie’s forehead making her eyes shut as she enjoyed the contact from Will.

Will gave Mackenzie a moment before asking, “Ready?”

Mackenzie nodded and she fiddled with Will’s hand as Will stared the facetime with his sister and two best friends.

“Well hello Mr. Heart Eyes!” Ryan chirped the second Gabe joined the face time and he was sitting with Gabe in the dorm.

“More like puppy eyes.” Grace teased making Ryan and Gabe both laugh and Mackenzie had to look away to stop herself from laughing.

Will smiled shaking his head at their teasing, Grace and Ryan both tease him at least once a day about his feelings for Makenzie because in their words he has an very obvious crush on her.

“Want to hear my news or not?” Will raised an eyebrow.

“Yes.” Gabe nodded pinching Ryan to shut up.

“I asked Mack to be my girlfriend.” Will told them with a proud smile and he moved the phone back showing Mackenzie.

“OH MY GOD FINALLY I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR A BILLION YEARS!” Ryan loudly said with the smuggest grin that they finally got together.

“It’s barely been a year.” Gabe depended but Ryan just continued to grin smugly.

Will just rolled his eyes fondly at Ryan, he gets constant texts from Ryan with screenshots of media of him and Mackenzie with Ryan chirping him about his feelings for Mackenzie and how obvious he is.

“Thank goodness i want Mackenzie as my sibling.” Grace beamed looking happy Will finally asked her.

Mackenzie laughed at Grace’s words as Will gave his sister a deadpan look, “Thanks Gracie.” Grace just smiled.

“Ha i have to rub it in to Eisey that i know before him.” Ryan grinned pulling out his phone.

“Uh Cole already knows.” Will told Ryan.

“You told that BU player before me!!??” Ryan looked offended and disgusted.

“He’s your friend with how much you text each other.” Gabe bluntly told Ryan fondly rolling his eyes.

“Absolutely not, i only tolerate one BU player and that’s Celly.” Ryan firmly said, he would never admit to liking Cole once Cole joined BU.

“Well you’re the only likably BC player.” Mackenzie teased laughing at the offended look Will gave her, “Maybe Gabe too because he’s to nice.”

Gabe smiled softly.

“And this is why you are the only BU player i like.” Ryan laughed at her words and the look Will was giving her.

“Mean.” Will pouted at his girlfriend trying to not smile as he said his girlfriend in his head.

Mackenzie just smiled and squeezed his hand leaning more into his side making his pout go away.

“Anyways i need to know why Eisey hasn’t told me yet.” Ryan looked at his text pulling up Cole.

“Because we told Cole not to tell you as we told him only five minutes before you and he ended up blurting out he needed to tell your group chat.” Will bluntly told them.

“What group chat?” Grace tried to ask innocently but Will just laughed and gave her a look not buying her tone at her.

“Look the group chat was needed!” Ryan protested.

Will and Mackenzie shared a fond smile as they listened to Ryan’s reasoning why the group chat was much needed, it went well telling all six of them.

Mary yawned from where she was lying out on the chair on the dock by the water at her family’s house in Cape Cod.

The house was packed with Will’s friends and she invited her three best friends too.

James got out of the water shaking his hair like a wet dog and plopped down on the chair next to her and smiled slightly seeing the peacefully and sleepy look on his best friend’s face, it was nice to see her so relaxed.

Mary let out a sigh and turned over facing James.

James looked at her face, “Did you tell anyone about your offers?” James asked her.

Mary has obviously got a lot of offers to play hockey in the 2024-2025 season with Colleges when she finishes with the NTDP but the last few months she also decided to send in early applications with nothing but her academics and not hockey.

Truthfully there wasn’t a big reason for her to apply especially after being offered a spot at Boston College for hockey, the school her family has went to for years but she wanted to prove to herself she was more than just hockey and if she wanted to she could go somewhere else.

She was surprised with the amount of colleges that wanted her just for her smarts and not because of her hockey skills.

Mary didn’t tell anyone she was applying but James saw her apply so she told him.

Mary opened all of her letters with James.

“No.” Mary whispered, Her family has kid assumed she would be going to Boston College when she gets an offer, not knowing she got an offer already. She would love to go to Boston College but also she would like it to be her choice not just because her family went there and that’s where everyone expects her to go.

“Are you going to tell anyone about the offers?” James asked wanting to know if she decided yet.

“No i’ll just tell them where i’m going to commit to one.” Mary told James, she didn’t see the point to tell her family she was accepted into other colleges and accepted a whole year earlier.

“Okay.” James nodded accepting her answer, “So have you decided for sure yet?” James asked because he wasn’t going to a college without her.

“BC feels right.” Mary admitted with a small grin. Mary knew Boston College would most likely always be the college she would pick but applying to other schools proved something to herself.

James also got an offer to Boston College and his brother got one too making Boston College be James’s top choice, “BC it is.” James grinned because why would he go to another school when he could go to the same one as his best friend with his brother.

Mary’s face softened and she reached over grabbing his hand squeezing softly smiling gently, “Thank you.” Mary’s words meant more than just James picking Boston College. James taught her what’s it’s like to have a friend and she couldn’t ask for a better best friend.

“Anytime Mara.” James grinned back completely understanding her unspoken words.

“Oh for next season,” James started and gave Mary a serious look, “Mom told me to tell you that the guest room is yours if you want it.”

Mary blinked and smiled touched. With Will going to Boston College the next season their mom was unsure if she would be staying in Michigan another year especially when her job wanted her back in person in Boston meaning Mary will most likely be going back to Michigan without any family.

Out of everyone she could stay with James and his family is who she would be most comfortable with.

“Thank you, I’ll tell my parents.” Mary squeezed his hand softly once more giving him a thankful smile.

James smiled and nodded back.

“Are you two coming back in?” Cole yelled out from the water as he balanced on Huston’s shoulders.

James and Mary shared a look and started laughing seeing Cole just sitting on Huston’s shoulders.

James and Mary both got up and walked down the rest of the dock and both of them jumped into the water making Cole cheer.

James and Mary both swam over as Huston leaned back and dunked Cole into the water making all three of them cackle as Cole spluttered coming up from under the water rubbing water out of his face.
Cole grinned at their laughing and just jumped onto Huston knocking him into the water too.

Once Cole and Huston finished tackling and wrestling with each other in the water, Cole grinned mischievously, “We are playing chicken!” Cole told his best friends making them share a look but all agree.

Cole just hopped on to Huston without saying anything and Mary walked behind James as he bent down letting set her hands on his shoulders and hop up.

James had a much easier time holding Mary than Huston had holding Cole.

Mary laughed as Cole was wobbling as he tried to lean towards her and almost fell off. Mary laughed even louder as she pretended to lean towards Cole and touch him and Cole leaned back quickly almost falling off it wasn’t for Huston.

Mary grinned and finally touched Cole and he immediately fell off Huston’s shoulder and into the water.

Mary and James shared a high five laughing.

Mary easily hopped off James shoulder after way too many times of going against Cole and Cole didn’t mange to knock her off once.

The four finally got out of the water and all got wrapped up in the warm towels from sitting out in the snow and headed up to the house where all of Will and his friends and their old teammates were just chilling outside on the back deck.

Will smiled seeing Mary’s content face with her three closest friends and knew she would be okay next season with those three.

Mackenzie got invited with Will and Toffoli to the NHL headquarters in New York City as they had an off day while they were in New York.

It was really cool honestly they got to have a whole tour of the headquarters before the social media took the three of them to start filming.

For about a few hours they just filmed so much content, a lot of youtube videos playing some games and a lot of tik tok doing some trends.

Once they spent a while filming so much content they were all finally of allowed to leave and Mackenzie, Will and Toffoli were waiting in the lobby for the uber and taking to one of the social media girls that is actually an old friend of Toffoli.

Toffoli was joking about how attached Mackenize and Will are to each other, “Basically they are just an old married couple already.” Toffoli teased the two rookie.

Will’s lips quirked up not hating the sound of that but Mackenzie made a slightly uncomfortable face, “Just friends.” Mackenzie corrected giving Toffoli a look knowing why he is teasing them, she misses how Will’s face fell before he quickly covered it up.

The uber pulled up and Toffoli said bye to his friend and they headed outside only to find that there was an error with the uber and there was only room for one person.

“I’ll go, you guys can take the next together.” Will quickly said getting in the car before Toffoli or Mackenzie could say anything.

Will wanted some alone time after Mackenzie corrected what Toffoli said so quickly, he thought it was because she doesn’t seem him romantically but he didn’t know she corrected Toffoli because she was worried Will would be uncomfortable as she has no idea what Will feels for her and doesn’t think Will likes her romantically.

Mackenzie frowned watching Will rush into the uber and not saying anything else to her as he left, Toffoli raised a knowing eyebrow knowing why Will left.

Toffoli saw Mackenzie’s genuine frown on her face and knew she didn’t know why Will was upset, “Celly you like Smitty right?” Toffoli asked her bluntly once the uber was gone and he called another uber.

Mackenzie blanched looking shocked he just asked her so bluntly, “What?” Mackenzie’s voice went high.

“You like Smitty romantically.” Toffoli stated raising an eyebrow at her. He already knew the answer but he wanted her to say it.

“What does that have to do with anything.” Mackenzie defensively stammered out her cheeks turning red. She knew he already knew what she felt too with how much he teased her about Will.

“A lot, do you like Will?” Toffoli asked her once more.

“Yes.” Mackenzie mumbled out her eyes lowering to look at the sidewalk.

“And why haven’t you told him yet?” Toffoli asked her, it was the one thing he couldn’t figure out why Mackenzie or Will haven’t confessed yet, especially Will.

“Uh it could mess everything up, he probably doesn’t even feel the same.” Mackenzie quietly said back with a small frown, she doesn’t think Will will ever have feelings for her.

“And have you thought that maybe Will does like you back?” Toffoli said more gently this time.

“No.” Mackenzie replied not wanting to get her hopes up.

“Well i happen to see both of you and you are the only person who doesn’t see Will’s feelings for you. Trust me when i say you can confess to him and it will work out good.” Toffoli encouraged her giving her shoulder a reassuring squeeze.

Mackenzie fiddled with her rings slowly nodding at Toffoli’s words, she knew he was telling the truth because if he was lying Cat would kill him.

“Okay.” Mackenzie let out a sigh. She has had so many people tell her that Will likes her that she was staring to hopeful believe it.

“Okay?” Toffoli asked tilting his head confused.

“I’m gonna tell him.” Mackenzie nodded determinedly.

“Great!” Toffoli smiled nodding encouraging glad she is finally going to say something just as the uber pulled up.

Mackenzie quickly got in the car and Toffoli looked amused as he followed her into the car.

Mackenzie was fiddling with her rings the entire drive trying to decide what she was going to say.

The car pulled into the driveway and they got out and walked together to the elevator.

The elevator door opened to Mackenzie’s floor, “We’ll go get your boy.” Toffoli gave her one more encouraging look and she nodded quickly and hurried out of the elevator and down the hallway.

Mackenzie quickly opened the hotel door of Will and hers room seeing Will lying on his bed, “I need to tell you something.” Mackenzie blurted out immediately.

Will looked confused seeing her rush into the room, “Okay?” Will sat up as she walked over to him.

Mackenzie bit her lip looking nervous before letting out a breath, “Okay. Uh I like you, like like like you wait that sounds childish, uh i like you romantically and you definitely don’t have to feel the same and i would completely understand if you don’t feel the same because.” Mackenzie nervously rambled out.

She missed the way Will stood up and the smile on his face continued to grow more and more with her words, “Mack?” Will called out softly stopping her ramble. He’s been waiting to hear these words from Mackenzie for a long time.

Mackenzie paused and realized Will was now standing in front of her and smiling which was a good sign, “Yeah?” She looked at him hopefully.

“I like you too.” Will softly told her back smiling at her gently taking a step closer to her.

“Oh.” Mackenzie let out a sigh of relief at Will’s words, he liked her.

“Oh.” Will teased her softly, “Can i kiss you Mackenzie?” Will whispered softly wanting her permission.

Mackenzie’s eyes went wide but she quickly nodded making Will’s smile grow even more.

Will slowly brought his hands up to Mackenzie’s cheeks cupping her face making her let out a little sigh and lean into him, Will smiled and leaned closer and finally pressed his lips to her lips.

Mackenzie’s hands went up to Will’s face and her fingers tangled into his remaining of curls.

Mackenzie and Will both didn’t want to stop but eventually they needed to breath and Will rested his forehead against her forehead as they caught their breaths.

“I’ve been waiting to do that.” Will whispered admitting, his thumb softly and delicately brushing over her cheekbone.

"Me too.” Mackenzie admitted a bit shyer.

Will dropped one of his hands off her face and resting his hand on her lower back pulling her even closer to him.

“Is this more than a one time thing?” Mackenzie asked softly looking nervous and she didn’t realize she was fiddling with Will’s look sleeve but Will did.

“It’s as long as you want it to be. I like you Mackenzie Celebrini and i would really like you to he my girlfriend.” Will sternly but softly reassured her and asked her.

Will watched her face light up even more at his words and smiled softly at him, Will hoped he will always get this smile directed at him.

Mackenzie’s breath got caught in her throat and she quickly nodded, “Yes.” Mackenzie whispered before pressing her lips back to his feeling Will’s smile.

Will and Mackenzie spent a long time hair standing there wrapped up in each other and kissing before Will eventually pulled back.

“Okay why don’t you get comfortable and we can watch a movie?” Will gently suggested making Mackenzie nod and she let go of her Will and grabbed a pair of sweatpants and t-shirt heading to the bathroom changing quickly.

She came back into the room seeing Will lying in his bed and his hoodie on the spot next to him, Will looked up at her and patted the spot next to her.

Mackenzie walked over to his bed and Will softly tossed the hoodie at her knowing Mackenzie gets cold easily especially in hotel rooms.

Mackenzie slipped on his hoodie making Will blush as he does everytime she wears a piece of his clothing.

Mackenzie got into the bed and sat down next to him and Will lifted his arm up giving her a soft and encouraging look.

Mackenzie slowly scooted closer to him and softly rested her head on his chest as Will wrapped his arm around her letting out a happy sigh as he rested his chin on top of her head, he finally got the girl.

Mackenzie hummed softly she could get used to this.
