I know, Tumblr is not the greatest venue for Finnish comics. In Finnish at least. But this is a good one. The title is in english " I know I am Overweight" and it is first book of three. The two following handle Sexuality and Mental health, respectively.

And it is not just beautifully drawn/painted through out. The very persoona tale is great, eye opening and it makes one hurt s bit too. No, not because the author is nude all the way That is just the surface. It is because the author is nude and vulnarable about being harassef about her body by almost all of society.

And the book is like it's author, smart, funny, empathic and nerdy. And brutally frank. I know, I used to date and live with Sari and she is an absolutely cool person. So happy we are still friends.

A good way to learn Finnish. Ja suomalaiset ei omaa mitään tekoayytä.

Something a bit more personal. This summer has been a wild ride, with intense feelings of dread and despair as well as some life-altering moments of goodness and validation. I'm not trying to pick a fight with anyone with this comic and I'm not blaming anyone for anything. I'm talking about my feelings and experiences and that's it. I'm also so very tired of trying to explain myself and my reasons for writing and drawing these comics. That reason is an overwhelmingly strong feeling of responsibility to use this little voice that I have. To talk about these things and maybe help someone like me to avoid hitting their heads to as many rocks as I did on the road to self-actualization. And those who are offended: please sit down and ask yourself: why?

Very interesting. I'm not sure if it's the other way around in your country, but I know that in Hungary, and I live near that country, that the months and days are reversed and the year goes first and then the day at the end. By the way, I noticed that the man was looking at the numbers upside down.

Sorry for the delay, but of course, like every year the tradition of Donald Duck comics fans dictates that I wish of course a happy birthday to one of the best writers and artists of Donald Duck comics currently celebrating, and that is Don Rosa. Yes, Don Rosa celebrates his birthday on June 29. Happy 73rd birthday Don Rosa! I wish you good luck and health and thank you for the excellent comics you have written, not only about The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck, but other comics as well. Especially my favorite The Three Caballeros Ride Again.

I would also like to mention the excellent comic called "The Duck Who Never Was" from 1994, where it is told how Donald went to an alternate universe where he does not exist, but in the end he returns to his family and friends where he enjoys a birthday party . I'm definitely posting on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of that comic, as well as Donald Duck's 90th birthday.

Happy Belated 90th Birthday Donald Duck, and Happy Birthday Don Rosa! Please like and reblog if you are a fan of Don Rosa and his comics. And yes, his comics are not and will not be Ducktales! But certainly his comics are one of the best!

Mutta en voi olla ylpeä niin pitkään kun kieltäydymme käyttämästä vapauttamme tekemään sitä mikä on oikein. Niin pitkään kun suljemme silmämme.

forgot to share my twst OC Joona. figured he'd probably be in Pomefiore dorm!

-he's mid-to-late 20s -he's nicknamed Jojo by some, Junebug by Fel occasionally -figure when he came in through the mirror Crowley heard he just finished up his degree and was like "Great! you can teach here np" -so he's forced to do art classes part time at the school -_- not that he doesnt enjoy it but man.. -on top of that he probably still forces this guy to take classes all over again (thus the uniform) -havent decided if i want him to be completely magic-less or to have a very small amount u-u -unironically think him and Vil would be great friends, but they'd have a white girl wednesday incident at least once (probably when he hears him and Leona talking 😭) ive got to make a relationships chart later! -he majored in art but he has a minor in mimery. like actually. -he can talk his way into getting 98% of things if you let him but often chooses not to. he could if he wanted! -he has a strong resting face and monotone voice at times so i believe major expressions of emotion from him can sometimes startle others -Joona has a fairly rich background and parents that spoiled him and his siblings as long as they worked hard and didnt 'waste their time doing things half-assed and leaving things unfinished' end quote -he's got a mild soft spot for kids even though he's always sure they'd dislike him for having such a stoic face. he's the guy who doesn't quite know what to do when they start swinging on his arms -fondly calls Epel, Riddle, Ortho and Ruggie his 'lil cousins' -he's exclusively an older brother/parental figure to Gidel!

had this random idea for a tmagp comic where sam puts a poster that just says "if holding onto something hurts, it's better to just let go" on the wall of his cubicle, and everybody has wildly different takeaways from that. like alice walks by it and goes "maybe i need to let him go" and gwen walks by it and goes "maybe this job isn't good for me" and celia walks by it and goes "maybe i need to accept that this is my home now" until lena walks by it and just goes "maybe i need to finally kill myself"

hi sorry in advance if this is weird but i couldn't for the life of me figure out who machete was reminding me of and just now i figured it out - surku the dog from the moomins. can't remember enough to tell how accurate that is personality wise but something about the image of a distressed pointy-nosed dog shivering in a coat... plus ne on molemmat ahdistuneita queer ikoneita

I love Surku! Surku must be protected at all costs.

If you ask me, he's even more distressed in the comics.

I keep him on my fridge door as well.

But now that we're on the topic of Moomin characters, I must add that I see Machete in various Fillyjonks a lot. The short story Fillyjonk who believed in disasters is one of my favorite pieces of literature ever, when I first read it it shook me to my core, I still revisit it on yearly basis. For someone who seemed so wild and free spirited by nature, Tove Jansson did remarkable job at catching and depicting the essence of anxiety, uncertainty, vague sadness and irrational fears. At least in my opinion.
