Vedic Observations
Accuracy dependent on ENTIRE chart.
1st H ruler in 4th H
If the planet is debilitated or malefic, this is generally considered a good placement. You can be a private person. You can be very connected to your mother, family + homeland/origins.
ex: 1st H ruler Mercury in 4th : You are intelligent in private. You are communicative only when comfortable.
Virgo ASC - Mercury SAG 4TH H - you may find many have misconceptions about you. Your reputation suffers. You dislike your physical appearance. You struggle to find your purpose.
2nd H ruler in 2nd H
When a ruler is in it's own house, the planet can protect the home. There may still be hardship depending on whether malefics aspect. Generally, you are comfortable with your wealth. You have secure relationship with family.
ex: 2nd H Libra - Venus in 2nd H : In a man's chart, this shows wife will add to your resources. She may be attractive and indulgent.
3rd H ruler in 2nd H
Your efforts are going toward the 2nd H - ex: efforts toward income, effort toward assisting family. Depending on the entire chart, this feels good or forced. Either way, your income depends on your efforts.
ex: 3rd H Scorpio - Mars in 2nd H : Mars your drive and willpower is being used to deal with your family and gain income. You can have to fight with the family for what you deserve. You can make income through active work. You can spend recklessly at times.
4th H ruler in 11th H
You can gain through your mother and family - might be through advice and opportunities rather than being handed wealth. Your mother can help you reach your dreams. She wants you to live your dreams - whether she has the ability to help depends on the entire chart.
4th ruler is 8 away when in 11th this indicates the mother is under a lot of stress. There can be a dramatic transformation in your comforts, your mother, your home. Your mother can experience near death experiences - ex: car accident.
ex: 4th H ruler Jupiter in 11th H : This shows you are a natural mentor/teacher. You gain through teaching/mentoring. Your mother may have been very moral and religious. This placement gets better with age - your relationship with mother can transform for the better later in life.
6th H ruler in 10th H
In the workpalce, people bring obstacles and dispputes to you. This could be your job to deal with these types of people OR your coworkers and bosses dislike you. It may not even be dislike - depending on the entire chart - maybe you are simply in a competitive workplace.
Your career may involve taking care of other people. Your career could involve children. Or people look to you as if they are a child/in need,
ex: 6th H ruler (Saturn) in 10th H - You can desire the career be stable and routined. You need it to feel secure. You could work for non-profit. You may desire status but it will take time to earn - saturn will make you work for it.
7th H ruler in 11th H
If the planet is not debilitated or badly placed, you gain through partnerships - independent work may not lead to maximum gains for you. The spouse could add to your gains. The spouse could help fulfill your desires. The spouse could be a dream come true for you. The spouse can be met through social networks, the spouse can feel like your best friend.
But let's not get delusional, depending on the entire chart, this can simply show you desire a spouse/marriage. You desire someone come help you. This is all desire but the planet may not be able to fulfil any of your desires.
ex: 7th H ruler (Jupiter) in 11th H - The spouse is good with finances and business matters. They can be good at motivating people. They can be social. They can increase your social network - possibly they introduce you to religion or religious people/groups.
Saturn Aspect 8th H Ruler - this can indicate a long life if the ruler is well placed.

✺ 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐢 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐚 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐭 <𝟑
just a reminder i do have solar + other readings open now :) 🎀
1. start off with the solar rising:
• the sign on the ascendant gives you a good idea as to how you will feel about and approach the year ahead.
• see where your rising falls in your natal chart:
this tells you where you’re focused for the year ahead (e.g. finances, friends, career, etc…)
2. natal x solar:
• check to see if any planets/points conjunct each other between solar return and natal chart and check the natal house where this conjunction is falling. the planets conjuncting each other show what type of energy will be present and the house shows where that energy is playing out (here are some examples):
• you can also check for trines, sextiles, squares, oppositions and other aspects between solar and natal charts but i personally find that conjunctions are the most potent
3. sun house:
•check where the sun falls in your solar return. this gives a pretty good idea as to what themes are most prevalent in your year ahead
• id say from this point on out you can basically read as a natal chart:
✺ planets ✺
sun - where you express yourself, vitality, and drive
moon - what you are emotionally tied to
mercury - where there is activity/ideas/info
venus - what areas of life you find pleasure and happiness (especially concerning people and money)
mars - where you find confidence, energy, persistence, independence and/or conflict
jupiter - where you find opportunity/luck/overindulgence/blessings
saturn - where you experience frustration, limitations, hard but important lessons
uranus - sudden changes, liberation, and the unexpected
neptune - fears, misconceptions, fantasies and imagination also where things seem to “blur” for you this year
pluto - dread, change, upheaval, determination
✺ asteroids/other things ✺
chiron - what keeps hurting you this year
lilith - where we rebel and obsess over, and want to have things our way
part of fortune - happiness and luck
vertex - the sign, house + degree gives insight to impactful events ahead
✺ signs ✺
aries - where you are able to take the lead and have more control
taurus - where you want to feel stable, secure, and resourceful
gemini - where you may be multitasking, where you have to communicate/talk a lot
cancer - where you feel comforted, understood, taken care of
leo - where you want to express your creative and fun side, where you want to shine
virgo - where things may seem a little more mundane, where you are adaptable with schedules/work
libra - where you are kind and personable, where you experience harmony with others
scorpio - where you find personal deaths and/or tenacity
saggitarius - where you experience freedom and expansion
capricorn - where you are goal-oriented and responsible
aquarius - where you embrace new/eccentric ideas and experiences (especially having to do with the internet or people at large)
pisces - where fantasies/creativity/imagination play out, where things may seem too good to be true
✺ houses ✺
1st - how you approach the year ahead, qualities you want to exude
2nd - how you set yourself up for the year (material and non-material)
3rd - how communications and info are brought up
4th - what your private/home life is like
5th - how you express creativity/romance/fun
6th - what your schedules/daily routines/self-improvement may look like
7th - what qualities all relationships (especially enemies and allies) may embody this year
8th - what things are being changed (loss and rebirth)
9th - what things give you faith and hope, how you find opportunity
10th - what your long-term goals and responsibilities may be like, reputation
11th - social circles, communities at large, and goals + aspirations
12th - mental health, healing, spirituality, and isolation
✺ when planets are in retrograde ✺
planets and asteroids that are retrograde mean that that planet struggle to outwardly express their traits. expect some delays, frustrations, and/or thinking as to the planet’s traits
4. house rulers
once you’ve made sense of the houses and signs in them, check for where each house ruler resides in the chart and check for important aspects (i do under 3 degrees and under but the orb is up to you) such as conjunctions, sextiles, trines, squares, and oppositions (if you guys would like i can make a post about aspects) and you can count minor aspects if you would like as well but i personally don’t
here is an example:
the 3rd house is in libra, with the ruler in the 5th house in saggitarius, conjunct mercury, opposing mars and making a sextile to saturn. third house in libra could mean that communication and info seem to be highlighted in one-on-one relationships and may be pretty harmonic and diplomatic as well (especially with the mercury conjunct venus aspect). this being in the 5th house means that info/communication may be a source of happiness and creativity this year. maybe something to do with the arts! the ruler conjunct mercury may emphasize the fact that there’s communication with multiple people and information exchange is also a main theme. the opposition to mars may mean that it’s hard to assert confidence or leadership when this person talks with others this year. with the sextile to saturn in the 7th though, this encourages that this person should practice patience and restraint in social matters, particularly when forming connections with others.
house systems for solar return chart?
whatever you prefer!! i personally like whole signs though
hope you enjoyed!

Misconceptions about Astrology
Hello! It's been a while since I posted the last observation here and I kinda miss that time. Since I'm turning more to traditional tropical astrology than before and learning about this topic, I've found out some misconceptions about tropical astrology, specifically made by modern tropical astrologers. Even I used to interpret some astrology placements and now I find some of these interpretations objectively wrong. Which are these misconceptions I'm talking about, you're gonna see in this post. I hope you're gonna learn something new today.
Myth: Houses are connected to the zodiac signs. For example, having planets in the 2nd house is exactly the same as having planets in Taurus.
Fact: Sadly, houses are not connected to any zodiac signs. No, Aries does not rule the 1st house. No, the 6th house is not related to the Virgo sign. No, Aquarius is not connected to the 11th house etc. That is false. Back in June, in one of my first observations, I used to think this way, that houses are somehow related to zodiac signs, but I found out this was the wrong interpretation of placements and I deeply apologize for that. In Hellenistic (traditional tropical) astrology, there's a thing called planetary joys, meaning that every planet has the most joy in a certain house. For example, the Sun has its joy in the 9th house, the Moon has its joy in the 3rd house, Mercury has its joy in the 1st house, Venus has its joy in the 5th house, Mars has its joy in the 6th house, Jupiter has its joy in the 11th house, while Saturn has its joy in the 12th house. All of these planets function very well in these mentioned houses.
Myth: Our natal chart represents our personality, who we are, our purpose, what our soul wants and what we are supposed to do.
Fact: Our natal chart actually represents our whole life and what is possibly going to happen in our life. It's not only about our personality and who we are. There's a common belief that our natal chart is about our own individual path we're meant to take, making us feel more individualistic, special and powerful, which I find very empowering and I appreciate if some people want to take control of their own life and to know more about themself. However, our natal chart also tells us about our father, mother, siblings, cousins, partners, boss, professors, working class, children etc. It is also about both of our fortunate and unfortunate events in our life we cannot fully control. So, if you're struggling to find your suitable partner or to make some money and you think you're the problem here because you're not manifesting enough or something else, maybe it's not that you're the only problem, maybe you're in an environment that is not serving you to get succeed in relationship or in finances. Or something unexpected might happen in your life which may delay your success. Trust me, your life will be much easier when you stop thinking that your natal chart tells you what you're supposed to do.
Myth: The degrees are also related to zodiac signs. For example, The 10th degree (10°) and 22nd degree (22°) are Capricorn's degrees. 5°, 17° and 29° are Leo's degrees etc.
Fact: That is completely false. Degrees do not work like that in tropical astrology at all. In Hellenistic astrology, we use the terms, mostly the Egyptian terms, to interpret the dignity and condition of planets through the degrees. Let me give you an example! So, If you might have the Sun at 22° of Gemini in your natal chart, that doesn't mean you have the Capricorn's degree or that your natal Sun in Gemini is influenced by Capricorn or Saturn at any point. Actually, your natal Sun at 22° of Gemini is placed in Mars' term (Mars' term in Gemini sign goes from 17°00' of Gemini until 23°59' of Gemini). So, your natal Sun in Gemini is not only influenced by Mercury, your natal Sun in Gemini is also influenced by the planet Mars. I'm gonna post a picture of the Egyptian terms table, so you can see how degrees actually work in tropical astrology.
Myth: Venus in man's chart represents his partner, while Mars in woman's chart represents her partner.
Fact: Venus in both man's and woman's chart represents their partner and which kind of people they might be attracted to. Venus also represents sex, not Mars. The planet Mars represents war, violence, destruction, impulsiveness, which danger shows in our life, taking forced actions we don't want to do etc. Love is supposed to be balanced, harmonized and peaceful, definitely not violent, destructive and dangerous. But that may hit different if you have Mars in the 7th house, or even Mars aspecting Venus (conjunction, opposition or square). Sex is also supposed to be balanced and harmonized. Two people sleep together because they both chose that freely, not because someone forced another partner to have sex. So, Mars cannot represent sex and your partner if you're a female, I'm sorry.
Anyways, I think I said everything I wanted to say about this topis. I hope you enjoyed it and found this observation useful. I only want to help you to interpret astrology placements with accuracy. I wish you all the successful week ahead!
Best regards,
Paky McGee

The thing about conflicting headcanons re: Yusuke's financial situation post Madarame (ie is he actually poor, does he make money but spends it all on art because he has poor impulse control, is Kosei a money laundering scheme etc.) is that like Yusuke's financial situation is written to facilitate a running gag so it's not consistent.
The school gives him an allowance, but he's also being charged for utilities despite being on a scholarship and so showers in the cold and works in the dark and worries about the electricity bill.
We know he bought those lobsters that one time but realistically how much of his money is being spent on supplies for class vs non-necessities he feels inspired by? Because canvases are expensive and if there's a certain size expectation/requirement you can't save by getting a smaller canvas. So when someone says "he just spends all his money on art" what are we really talking about?
By Strikers he's very excited to have money from an art contest to spend on his friends but was that true during the course of the base game when he was in his slump? Because I have a hard time believing he was even entering competitions
The details don't really make sense because most of these details come from jokes that are never elaborated on into cohesive worldbuilding.
And even if you want to say the issue is just he's got bad spending habits, that's still a situation that would require intervention by an adult probably because uh, no shit?
Yeah of COURSE Yusuke is completely unprepared to live on his own and is incidentally starving himself, he was raised by a dude who convinced him that the only purpose he served was helping his Sensei. In what way would it have benefitted Madarame to prepare Yusuke in any way to live on his own or know how to balance finances, he actively wanted Yusuke reliant on him, because that's how abuse works.
I'm pretty sure Yusuke has never even conceptualized living on his own, and that's not even adding in the detail of Nakanohara being concerned he'd commit suicide if he stayed with Madarame. NO SHIT HE'D BE BAD AT IT? People don't just emerge from the womb capable of money management
In that situation is the proper response really "oh that Yusuke, he just doesn't understand money, it's not a big deal"?
And like regardless, he IS still starving. Like the extent to which you think it's self inflicted aside, he's a 16 year old who will constantly talk about skipping meals and eating sprouts from the park and that sucks. Someone should maybe like talk to him about the root cause of that!
TL;DR: Yusuke's financial situation doesn't make sense because it's not supposed to, so it kind of doesn't matter to me how people headcanon the nature of it, and I fundamentally think it's incorrect to say one option of "poor vs has bad impulse spending habits" is more correct than the other because arguably they both raise the question of "holy shit why is no one stepping in here" if you think about it all the way through
PS. Also I wrote this whole thing because I saw a tweet that was like "one big misconception i see about yusukes character and how he’s treated is people saying “Why doesn’t Joker/Haru give him money when he’s poor?” and the real fact is that he’s not poor (post madarame). He’s just EXTREMELY irresponsible with his spending and spends it all on art," and I was like "idk if that's a misconception really I think a case can be made for both because it doesn't make sense" and then AFTER I wrote it I remebered that I have repository of every Yusuke scene uploaded into my brain and was like "wait if you call Yusuke poor in PQ2 during the Akihiko/Shinjiro/Yusuke quest he'll agree" and then there's also the scene in Tactica where Marie calls him dirt poor and he doesn't disagree with the poor part, just that she insulted dirt
So like my point still stands but I'd ESPECIALLY not call it a misconception to say he's poor when canon material supports it.

As national legislation on deepfake pornography crawls its way through Congress, states across the country are trying to take matters into their own hands. Thirty-nine states have introduced a hodgepodge of laws designed to deter the creation of nonconsensual deepfakes and punish those who make and share them.
Earlier this year, Democratic congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, herself a victim of nonconsensual deepfakes, introduced the Disrupt Explicit Forged Images and Non-Consensual Edits Act, or Defiance Act. If passed, the bill would allow victims of deepfake pornography to sue as long as they could prove the deepfakes had been made without their consent. In June, Republican senator Ted Cruz introduced the Take It Down Act, which would require platforms to remove both revenge porn and nonconsensual deepfake porn.
Though there’s bilateral support for many of these measures, federal legislation can take years to make it through both houses of Congress before being signed into law. But state legislatures and local politicians can move faster—and they’re trying to.
Last month, San Francisco City Attorney David Chiu’s office announced a lawsuit against 16 of the most visited websites that allow users to create AI-generated pornography. “Generative AI has enormous promise, but as with all new technologies, there are unintended consequences and criminals seeking to exploit the new technology. We have to be very clear that this is not innovation—this is sexual abuse,” Chiu said in a statement released by his office at the time.
The suit was just the latest attempt to try to curtail the ever-growing issue of nonconsensual deepfake pornography.
“I think there's a misconception that it's just celebrities that are being affected by this,” says Ilana Beller, organizing manager at Public Citizen, which has been tracking nonconsensual deepfake legislation and shared their findings with WIRED. “It's a lot of everyday people who are having this experience.”
Data from Public Citizen shows that 23 states have passed some form of nonconsensual deepfake law. “This is such a pervasive issue, and so state legislators are seeing this as a problem,” says Beller. “I also think that legislators are interested in passing AI legislation right now because we are seeing how fast the technology is developing.”
Last year, WIRED reported that deepfake pornography is only increasing, and researchers estimate that 90 percent of deepfake videos are of porn, the vast majority of which is nonconsensual porn of women. But despite how pervasive the issue is, Kaylee Williams, a researcher at Columbia University who has been tracking nonconsensual deepfake legislation, says she has seen legislators more focused on political deepfakes.
“More states are interested in protecting electoral integrity in that way than they are in dealing with the intimate image question,” she says.
Matthew Bierlein, a Republican state representative in Michigan, who cosponsored the state’s package of nonconsensual deepfake bills, says that he initially came to the issue after exploring legislation on political deepfakes. “Our plan was to make [political deepfakes] a campaign finance violation if you didn’t put disclaimers on them to notify the public.” Through his work on political deepfakes, Bierlein says, he began working with Democratic representative Penelope Tsernoglou, who helped spearhead the nonconsensual deepfake bills.
At the time in January, nonconsensual deepfakes of Taylor Swift had just gone viral, and the subject was widely covered in the news. “We thought that the opportunity was the right time to be able to do something,” Beirlein says. And Beirlein says that he felt Michigan was in the position to be a regional leader in the Midwest, because, unlike some of its neighbors, it has a full-time legislature with well-paid staffers (most states don’t). “We understand that it's a bigger issue than just a Michigan issue. But a lot of things can start at the state level,” he says. “If we get this done, then maybe Ohio adopts this in their legislative session, maybe Indiana adopts something similar, or Illinois, and that can make enforcement easier.”
But what the penalties for creating and sharing nonconsensual deepfakes are—and who is protected—can vary widely from state to state. “The US landscape is just wildly inconsistent on this issue,” says Williams. “I think there's been this misconception lately that all these laws are being passed all over the country. I think what people are seeing is that there have been a lot of laws proposed.”
Some states allow for civil and criminal cases to be brought against perpetrators, while others might only provide for one of the two. Laws like the one that recently took effect in Mississippi, for instance, focus on minors. Over the past year or so, there have been a spate of instances of middle and high schoolers using generative AI to make explicit images and videos of classmates, particularly girls. Other laws focus on adults, with legislators essentially updating existing laws banning revenge porn.
Unlike laws that focus on nonconsensual deepfakes of minors, on which Williams says there is a broad consensus that there they are an “inherent moral wrong,” legislation around what is “ethical” when it comes to nonconsensual deepfakes of adults is “squishier.” In many cases, laws and proposed legislation require proving intent, that the goal of the person making and sharing the nonconsensual deepfake was to harm its subject.
But online, says Sara Jodka, an attorney who specializes in privacy and cybersecurity, this patchwork of state-based legislation can be particularly difficult. “If you can't find a person behind an IP address, how can you prove who the person is, let alone show their intent?”
Williams also notes that in the case of nonconsensual deepfakes of celebrities or other public figures, many of the creators don’t necessarily see themselves as doing harm. “They’ll say, ‘This is fan content,’ that they admire this person and are attracted to them,” she says.
State laws, Jobka says, while a good start, are likely to have limited power to actually deal with the issue, and only a federal law against nonconsensual deepfakes would allow for the kind of interstate investigations and prosecutions that could really force justice and accountability. “States don't really have a lot of ability to track down across state lines internationally,” she says. “So it's going to be very rare, and it's going to be very specific scenarios where the laws are going to be able to even be enforced.”
But Michigan’s Bierlein says that many state representatives are not content to wait for the federal government to address the issue. Bierlein expressed particular concern about the role nonconsensual deepfakes could play in sextortion scams, which the FBI says have been on the rise. In 2023, a Michigan teen died by suicide after scammers threatened to post his (real) intimate photos online. “Things move really slow on a federal level, and if we waited for them to do something, we could be waiting a lot longer,” he says.

The Saturn-pluto aspect
• Hi friends. Welcome back to another post 💘🤗Today we’re discussing the saturn-pluto aspect. I feel this is the least aspect talked about, so I’ve decided to shed light here. I know some of ya’ll have it. Anyway! Enjoy. Feel free to like, comment and reblog 🧘♀️🤍
🌖 Both saturn and pluto are intense planets in their own way. Saturn and pluto are malefic, and cause great turbulent change. Those with saturn pluto aspects have experienced a gratifying loss, grief, and intense loneliness. These natives have experienced dark moments in their life
🌒 At least one or more authority figures wanted this native to conform to their idea of success, and placed restrictions on the native. The native was shut out, and feelings weren’t allowed to be expressed. Saturn is restrictive, and for many years the native grew up unable to speak up and move forward it seems. Even when away from the hurt, the native lives in a certain time period affected by it all.
🌓 Since saturn rules the father, the father may have been careless about finances, wealth and could have hid his financial situation. The father could have been paranoid, lived a single life at some point, and faces depression. The father bears a huge responsibility, or sees the native as one, and pressures the native to take care of themselves. The father is incapable of stability, mentally and emotionally and expects the native to take care of him.
🌔 Becoming aware of unconscious dynamics in the natives mind is important in this lifetime. While saturn delays, brings opposition, and constraint, saturn also teaches long term discipline, stability and reliability in oneself. As the native learns about their weaknesses and strengths, and continues to build from their past, they strengthen themselves. They adapt to new wisdom, develop their skills, and can maintain their core.
🌘 But also, pluto can just as easily bring chaos, disruption and fast paced changes. The native never knows whats next, and following the unknown is a guiding point in their lifetime. The native is here to understand their role, position and inner core despite these changes in their life. Despite it all, the native accepts they may not know whats next, but they are sure of themselves, and how much they healed to be in the present moment.
🌜 The native will realize a lot of their structural foundations in life fell apart, because it was not strong originally. There may have been illusions of it being strong and fortified, but eventually the native cannot escape what the truth is. Saturn wants to guide and help the native break free from illusion, misconceptions in the mind, and rebuild the way the native needs. Pluto will create the necessary changes and action to invite what mental constraints the native has, in order to release it.
🌛 The native may also find that they receive criticism, pressure and expectations from their boss/ authority figures. Saturn shows where we need to mature and grow. Natives can resent authority positions not just in career, but family as they become afraid of being what hurt them.

You may come across struggles involving the residences you buy (for ex: someone I know had this placement and the first house they bought was infested with rats that they didn’t know about for a month). This can also just indicate not purchasing your own house until later in life
𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟓𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞
》 Romance. You may be someone that struggles a lot with your love life
》 Talent. This doesn’t usually mean you lack talent it most likely just means you struggle to find what you’re talented at and may figure out at a later age
》 Happiness. The 5th house does represent joy so these people are prone to having depression and struggling to see the good in life
》 Fertility. If you’re a women with this placement then you may struggle with fertility issues
𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟔𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞

》 Long term relationships/marriage. Similar to saturn in the 5th house this can cause struggles with your love life (don’t worry because this isn’t always the case it could just mean you marry someone older, someone’s who’s really mature, or that you get married later in life)
》 Enemies. You may naturally attract lots of conflict and enemies into your life that are challenging even when you aren’t the one who started these conflicts (Celebrity example: Selena Gomez)
》 Conflict. You may struggle handle conflict maturely or to meet in the middle with others/compromise
𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞

This doesn’t always mean sexual intimacy is something you struggle with (although it can) it could just mean becoming intimate with people in general and letting them develop a deep connection with you is something that’s a challenge for you due to fear (which could possibly stem from trauma)
》 Major transformation. Transformation is something that’s hard for everyone but with this placement it may be especially hard for you to adapt to change
》 Longevity. You may struggle to do anything long term because you seek constant change 24/7. It’s challenging for you to adapt to new environments
𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟗𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞

》 Friends. You may be someone that struggles to make friends or just struggle to make friends your age
》 Manifestations. If you’ve taken on the challenging traits of this placement then you may struggle to manifest things into your life solely because of self doubt. The way to fix this is (as weird as it sounds) to be delusional in your capabilities and fully believe in yourself no matter what anyone else says
》 Money. The 11th house represents financial gains so sometimes with this placement it can be harder to attain wealth. You must work really hard for money. This doesn’t mean wealth is completely out of reach for you it just means that if you do become wealthy it will be at a later age after lots of hard work and challenges
𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟏𝟐𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞
》 Mental health. This house represents your mental health so often people with this placement will struggle with mental disorders (ex: depression, schizophrenia, etc)

》 Fears. Your fears may be something that hold you back a lot. You must push yourself a lot in order to overcome this
》 Isolation. Similar to saturn in the 11th house sometimes this placement can make it hard for you to keep friends not because you’re not friendly/likable but because you tend to isolate yourself a lot

MERCURY OPPOSITE MOON SYNASTRY | ASTRO SYNASTRY SERIES
In Vedic astrology, the moon is also considered the mind. Therefore, we believe the emotional state of ourselves, and others is a direct reflection of our mind and vice versa. With such said, most people do not believe the same and go as far as to thinking “they do not make emotional decisions” and so forth, but in actuality, anything anyone ever does, is with their emotions considered. This misconception and misunderstanding serves as a basis for mercury opposite moon synastry.
The mercury person in this dynamic, thinks they are more logical, practical and should be the leader or shown more respect. The mercury person does not trust or value the moon person especially when it comes to making decisions or thinking rationally. This opposition is most felt in the beginning and the cause for the end of this relationship.
Personally, I have my sun and mercury conjunct in Gemini 8th house. I also have a Pisces moon and Venus in cancer with Pluto in Scorpio however, I cannot stand hearing or dealing with emotional people especially in sectors of business. I find that people are blinded by their emotions, unable to think logically and ultimately, people make things more difficult than they need to be because they are thinking emotionally. Most people are unable to accept or hear clear, concise, and blunt facts. They somehow think you are being rude when you are just being professional or straight forward. Most are too sensitive to hear the truth or direct communication. It’s like people cannot not hear you all of a sudden, similar to speaking under water. They hear you talking but cannot discern what you are saying on both sides. The moon person cannot understand the mercury person and the mercury person can understand the moon person but does not “relate” or value the moon persons logic.
Oppositions are similar in different ways, they come full circle, however, when mercury is involved there’s little patience, if at all for the moon person. I can see this dynamic in married couples where example, THE MOON PERSON BEING THE WOMAN, DOES “GIRL MATH” WHEN GOING SHOPPING AND THIS INFURIATES THE MERCURY PERSON, BEING THE MAN FOR THE SAKE OF THE EXAMPLE. IN THE VICE VERSA, IF THE MAN IS THE MOON PERSON- HE WILL IMPULSIVELY GO OUT AND BUY A MOTORCYCLE AND WHEN THE wife finds outs, who is the mercury person, this infuriates her because “we cannot afford or need this bike”. The planet mercury and the moon are not directly linked to finances unless mercury is in an earth sign and the moon in a water sign- where my example will be most accurate but hopefully you get the point.
Having this synastry with someone will always cause frustration and arguments because they are sensitive planets. When the mind and emotions come together , usually people are unable to balance this, especially in relationships. The moon person may want to cuddle and talk about feelings, but the mercury person does not want to nor finds a purpose in it. The moon represents feelings amongst other things and astrologically, mercury is in its detriment in water signs including dealing with indidivuals with water placements. Think of technology and water mixing - there is bound to be damage that not even a bowl of rice can revive. To reiterate, the moon person simply does not understand the mercury person and the mercury person understands the moon person but lacks respect for them which in turn may appear like they do not understand the moon person. The mercury person is like “I understand your stupidity, but I cant tolerate nor will I trust it”. The moon person is like” I do not understand why you do not trust me or value my feelings/thoughts and actions contingent on said emotions .
Honestly, this is a typical sexist dynamic in a traditional sense where women’s thoughts, opinions or intelligence is not acknowledged or taken seriously whereas, for men, it is though we know men tend to do the silliest things.
This is not literally a sexist dynamic; I am just using that as an example so we can all understand the vibe of this synastry placement.
It’s one thing to be opposites because as we know they attract but when the moon and mercury are involved, I cannot say these planets and people can work. Again, the mind and emotions have different needs that both lack patience to understand or compromise. Despite the opposition, I do not think this synastry is compatible in anyway. These two will cause more frustration, drama and eventually resentment.
Grant it, there are always other aspects in a synastry chart than may overpower this placement and this couple may be able to make it work but interpretating this synastry aspect alone- I am not hopeful. The moon person values their emotional needs just as much as the mercury person values their thoughts, ideas, and logic. They both refuse to budge on that and in the event, they try, sadly, they will fail.
Imagine, as a couple needing to save money, but you have a partner who keeps spending money running your plans for the future. The one spending money clearly doesn’t understand the importance of saving nor are they able to control their emotional impulses to save. Therefore, whatever progress you try to make, your partner is showing you that they are not on board, don’t understand or their emotional spending needs come first. Will this now frustrate you and lead to resentment?
Imagine, needing your partner to be a crying shoulder. Someone who you just want to vent to without solutions, judgements and or words that go against your emotions. Imagine crying about something that may be your fault and hearing your partner confirm bluntly, “it’s your fault” with no remorse to your feelings. Or whatever your emotional about, your partner invalids it or refuses to hear or even see your side of things because seeing you emotional is bothersome to them in the sense it annoys them. Will this not hurt you and cause resentment?
There’s so many examples I can give but the gist is, this couple, this synastry is not compatible and I would save yourself the pain, drama and insecurity that this synastry will produce. You guys are just not on the same page and if you try to work through it, at some point that frustration and resentment is going to blow up like throwing an electronic into water.
Logic and emotions do not mix.

Your Wealth and Its Sources in Houses 2, 6 and 10
So many people learning Astrology and looking at their chart are concerned about the condition of the 2nd house lord or planets deposited there, convinced it’s their “money making ability”, linked to their work environment.
This is a modern day misconception, as people have been blindly taught to believe that “making” money or getting a job is the only approach towards finances or wealth…while it only applies successfully to a narrow select group of people with specific placements.
The earthy houses of wealth accumulation possession 2, 6 and 10 all have a different way of providing that wealth, and the condition of their lords is going to determine how that process is going to take place in each chart.
The 2nd house is the wealth you are born with, which is why it’s also tied to the environment of family security. You don’t “make” money in the 2nd house, because it’s about basic provision that ensures your survival. That's why this house is produced for by Jupiter. You can’t do anything further with your life if you don’t have basic food or shelter. The 2nd house is the starter pack that you carry through life with you. It may need care and maintenance, just like you care for your home and possessions, but it’s essential role is basic family protection. An afflicted 2nd house can cause a lot of strife and struggles in life, handicapping a person's early life despite their best efforts.
The other houses are more tricky, because they are produced for by Saturn. That means they improve over time, but they also don't come as easy as a regular 2nd house situation should. However, they also give steady support, so when years pass you can rely on them even if your 2nd house was giving you grief in childhood.
Business endeavors start in the 6th house because of its mercurial nature, linking it to the concept of trade. Here, you take your 2nd house provisions and exchange the excess of what you don’t need that life provided you with, to get something from someone else that is useful to you. This is where the concept of “working” starts because to expand beyond your basic prime family conditions you need to put in a certain effort to trade. That’s why before the invention of currency people were engaging in trade offs to survive…again, a one on one debate that leads to exchanging goods and services.
This house is also where the value of our initial 2nd house resources comes to light, and this connection is the reason why people associate the 6th house with debt. If your 6th house is strong, you become the person other people rely on. You are the one helping others, and then karma comes, sometimes years after, and you collect. In an average situation with the 6th house, beneficial partnerships through exchange are readily available to you, so what you are lacking, the other person provides and vice versa. If the 2nd or 6th house and their lords are struggling, during appropriate transits or planetary period, you are the one who ends up having to put yourself in debt, as you are lacking so significantly in certain areas, that you need to actually work overtime to fill that hole, and in the meantime, you need to live on credit to survive, one way or another. However, if done well, an efficient 6th house raises you way above the status of your family of origin. Note, that you have to look at the 6th house dispositor to see what kind of debt or upgrade interests you. I have seen people with 6th - 12th house connections consider moving abroad a huge asset and make financial efforts to achieve that, even if where they ended up living wasn't necessarily that much more luxurious, but just more fitting for them personally.
The 10th house is your solid base of wealth that you accumulate as a result of experience and maturity. Not only you capitalized on your family wealth, but expanded it through increasing your assets by trading of the excess. That led to a build up of solid, long term capital, suitable for public use. A physical legacy, that you can not just enjoy for yourself but put out there to share with the world. This invites even more wealth, because the world rewards you for becoming a valuable substantial public contributor.
A strong 10th house gives someone a backbone, a clear energetic idea for how they want to show up in the world. It takes a lot of time with the 10th house, but the person works slowly but consistently at their legacy. They may have a lot of ideas, just waiting for the right opportunity to start building upon them. With a weak 10th house or its lord, you may find someone who has no long term foresight, doesn't think of their legacy and likely doesn't have a good routine. Since the 10th house is a natural result of the 6th house, a person with a weak 10th house or its lord tends to have a lot of health issues due to bad daily habits. Lack of responsibility leads to their legacy being squandered, or nothing worth remembering is there in the first place. A well place 10th house or its lord may even leave a spiritual legacy, for example someone who is well remember by many for their spirit, even if their physical assets were modest. It's more about skillful handling than the nature of the heritage.
Now you may be wondering, how does the concept of everyone being obliged to lifelong working or struggling for anything fit into this mold? Simple answer, it doesn’t. This concept is linked strictly to Rahu.
The modern day working world is completely based off immature Rahu energy. The obsessive chase, the constant pursuit. The mindless persistent, aggressive expansion, forcing people to climb where they're not meant to, misdirected greed and fruitless, overblown ambition.
We all have a area of struggle in our lives, we all have Saturn somewhere. We all have challenging chart points. But there are as many solutions to such situations as there are charts, and trying to fit into the most popular, obvious pathways is rarely the way out.
Even if you have Rahu in either of the earth houses and so the concept of pushing the envelope influences your wealth, a mature Rahu has the blessings of Saturn. It understands there is a right time for everything. A mature Rahu is where the principle of “work smart not hard” is born. Each chart situation is individual, and every struggle is equally valid. Not everyone's efforts are going to be work or finance related. Making measured efforts in the right place at the right time is what leads to success, for any chart.

Heya, a while ago I got a job as a programmer for a small game studio (yay!), though now struggling to manage the work load from disability issues and it not being better than my previous development job, I've realised I would very much like to go solo. I believe I have the technical ability and training to do so but I'm not sure how to manage it financially, especially with an almost full time job (that I can't reduce more than I already have). Do you have any tips on the money side of becoming independent? Would just like to be stable enough to make a living on it!
Thanks for the ask!!
First: congrats on getting a job! That's excellent!
I'm going to go in-depth because I think it's a valid question, but I also want to be super clear that no one should go solo until they're absolutely prepared for the risks associated with it:
Sustainability
I can't personally speak to working with a disability, but my biggest piece of advice for going solo is: don't quit your day job. Odds are good that as a solo developer you are not going to make enough money to earn a living.
In my experience it's usually better to be miserable and struggling at a full-time job that pays well than miserable and struggling as a solo dev that doesn't pay rent. At a full-time job you may not happy but at least you put food on the table and can save money and spend it on things guilt-free, which is something a lot of solo devs can't do.
I think there's a misconception that being a solo dev is sustainable when in actuality the way most solo devs are sustainable is by already having a popular game/following, or having an existing safety net or second job that pays the bills, or by working their asses off more than they would at a full-time job. Solo dev exhibits survivorship bias because the solo devs who couldn't keep up in the market simply aren't doing it anymore. Solo dev is so competitive and the pay so unreliable that unless you strike gold (which is very unlikely) I can't in good faith recommend anyone attempt going solo without some sort of extensive planning to back it up.
I'll use myself as a point of comparison for full transparency (because I am absolutely not exempt from having immense privilege and I think it's important to acknowledge that): I was laid off in 2023, but my partner currently makes 110k CDN a year. Before I got laid off I made 85k CDN a year. We've been saving up for about ~7 years. Cost of living in our area of the country is very high, but we live in a place owned by a relative so our rent is truly dirt cheap so our overall costs are incredibly low. My partner pays most of our expenses, and I'm on her insurance plan. We're both open and comfortable about this arrangement now, but if something happened financially I'd be running out and working a job immediately out of necessity. I am incredibly privileged to have a comfortable living situation that affords me flexibility to focus on creative stuff full-time, but it's because of these circumstances that I can do solo dev in a dedicated capacity.
A Peek At Finances
I started solo dev in 2020 and until 2023 I did solo dev alongside my full-time job and I shipped 3 games in that time (so roughly one game per year), so I was saving money and making games on the side. I ran a Kickstarter as part of that and made a number of sales as part of the Queer Games Bundle (which offered much more generous payouts back then than it is able to now). Now in 2024 I do it full-time, but despite this I don't make enough to survive.
Here's all the profits from my game sales from the last 4 years as a solo dev (in USD). Remember this is from the last 4 years altogether (not per-year), and 2024 was the first year I did it exclusively:
Steam
Itchio (this is largely due to the Queer Games Bundle, I generally don't make much profit off itch at all outside of that)
On top of this, I work as a Course Director at a local University for 4 months of the year for an additional $10k to supplement my income. I also have had some other revenue streams from streaming, commissions, freelance writing, talks, Patreon, etc. however that's approximately in the ~$100 every few months range and not terribly noteworthy.
As you can tell the solo dev sales is not really enough money for most people to make rent on, and some of my games (like Lofty Quest) cost a lot of money relative to their profit. Solo dev is incredibly risky because even with perfect planning you can work on a project for years only for it to make you like, $300 in the end.
All this is to say; solo dev really is not sustainable full-time for most people unless you are the 0.1% of people who can afford to live on $1000-5000 USD a year (though I feel like most people can't).
"""Side-Hustle""" Approach
I think solo dev is more manageable as a (for lack of a better word) 'side hustle' than it is a full-time job. But I find the secret to doing that is (like any craft) is to learn to enjoy the process and not the product - if you enjoy making your own games then it will give you energy, as opposed to sucking it away like making games for work does.
When I was working in the office I'd be designing stuff for my TTRPGs whenever I took breaks at my desk, or writing notes and plans on digital games whenever I had some down time. Even working remotely I would squeeze in working on my game during big team meetings or before I went to bed - again mostly just because I liked the act of making my own games. I did it because I enjoyed it and it afforded me more freedom than I had working on content on a AAA game, but I never really did it because I was ever planning to make a ton of money or planning to go solo. Doing solo dev part-time helped me find a work-life balance where I was still feeling creatively fulfilled despite working at a job I hated, and profit came after that - I only fully focused on solo dev when I suddenly lost my job and found myself in a comfortable living situation.
An additional thing I'd say about solo dev is that if you 'believe' you have the ability to do it, then try to ship a premium game right now by yourself from start to finish as a side thing before re-shaping your life plans around it. It sounds obvious but until you ship a game by yourself you don't know what it's like to ship a game by yourself, and it'll give you a better idea of what it's actually like and if it's something you can actually manage to do more long-term.
If you're really really going to go solo full-time and nothing is ever going to stop you (once again, I would not recommend considering this at all but I know some people have trouble listening to advice), then here's some survival tips:
You should ensure you have a plan that is concrete and actionable - make it a SMART goal so that it's measurable and you can quantifiable hold yourself to it. E.g. "I'm going to publish a game solo and see how it goes" isn't something to bank your livelihood on, but "I'm going to release two small games before November and see what the process is like, and if I'm not making rent by February I will find a part time job" is. Remember that finding a new job after being off the job market will take time (sometimes months) and incorporate that additional plan. Formulate a Plan B and hold yourself to it, and then a handful of 'Plan C through G' worst-case scenarios, because you don't want to bank your livelihood on solo dev. Hold yourself to your plan whenever possible, keep going back to that plan, and know when to call it quits. Solo dev isn't worth sacrificing your life over.
Before going solo, calculate your monthly burn rate and current savings and know how long it will last - also assume you're going to spend more money than you usually do on average (because you'll probably spend more than you expect). Plan ways to cut costs in your daily life, what you can stop spending money on, etc. Figure out your insurance situation with your work; you'll either have to get your own plan or lose health coverage in some instances. If you're planning on quitting your job and you have a quit date be sure to maximize the amount of money you spend on insurance before you do; buy new orthotics, new glasses, see your doctor, stock up on your meds, etc. Don't do any unnecessary spending if at all possible.
Read up on your local business and tax laws, and learn how it works for developers in your area with regards to revenue from foreign countries (if you live outside the US, as most storefronts operate within the US). If you can, find a lawyer and an accountant who works with game developers in your area (if you know any local devs ask them who they use, they'll usually be happy to share). Seek out publishers, investors, grants, developers in your area and make connections as early as possible because they could be a lifeline down the road. If you're going to be sustainable as a solo dev it's usually from grants, investors or contract work and not because of sales alone. Network early and network often.
When you start a game, be acutely confident (and honest with yourself) of its marketability - no one thinks your game is as cool as you do. Don't make an echo chamber about your work and be open to feedback. Ask others what they think about it to validate your intentions.
Plan to spend money on promoting it. Post about your game as part of your job and never shut up about it. Be as annoying about your work as you feel comfortable, and then double the amount of annoying you are. You'll get used to being annoying because if no one finds out about your game your game will not make money.
Work like a studio; playtest your game early and often. Before you finish your first game, plan what your next game is going to be and start prototyping that. Be your own producer, err on the side of caution and cut as many things as often as possible.
I made a whole talk on the production side of being a solo dev here if you want more specific production tips.
---
Anyway, sorry that may not be...terribly helpful of an answer, but I think a realistic approach is usually best. Thanks again for the ask!

Sharia, or Islamic law, is a framework derived from Islam's sacred texts—the Quran (the holy book of Islam) and the Hadith (accounts of the sayings and actions of the Prophet Muhammad). It provides guidelines to help Muslims align their lives with their faith in matters such as personal conduct, family relations, finance, and, in some interpretations, criminal law.
Core Sources of Sharia Law
1. Quran: The primary and most authoritative source of Sharia, believed by Muslims to be the direct word of God.
2. Hadith: Recorded sayings and actions of the Prophet Muhammad, which offer detailed guidance on matters not explicitly covered in the Quran.
3. Ijma (Consensus): Agreement among Islamic scholars, especially for issues not explicitly covered in the Quran and Hadith.
4. Qiyas (Analogical Reasoning): Reasoning based on known teachings to apply Sharia to new situations.
Scope of Sharia Law
Sharia covers a range of areas in a Muslim’s life, not just legal aspects:
1. Personal Conduct: Guidelines for daily life, including worship, diet, dress, and moral behavior.
2. Family Law: Rules around marriage, divorce, inheritance, and child custody. Many countries incorporate these elements into family or civil law.
3. Financial Transactions: Ethical principles for trade and finance, such as prohibitions on charging interest (usury) and a focus on fairness.
4. Criminal Law: While often emphasized in discussions, criminal law is only one part of Sharia. It includes guidelines for offenses and their punishments, though specific applications vary by country and interpretation.
Misconceptions about Sharia Law
A common misconception, especially outside the Muslim world, is that Sharia is a uniform code advocating harsh punishments and threatening non-Muslims. In reality:
Sharia is not monolithic; it varies widely in interpretation and practice depending on cultural, historical, and regional factors. Islamic countries like Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Pakistan may have stricter interpretations, while others, such as Turkey or Indonesia, limit Sharia’s role to family and personal law.
Non-Muslims are typically not subject to Sharia. In most cases, Sharia laws apply primarily to Muslims. In countries where Sharia has a role in the legal system, non-Muslim communities are often exempt or subject to their own laws for family and religious matters.
Modern Application of Sharia Law
Today, Sharia’s application is highly diverse. Some Muslims interpret it primarily as a moral code guiding individual conduct, while others may apply its legal aspects within community or national laws. Within the Islamic world, debates continue on how Sharia should intersect with contemporary legal standards, especially on issues of human rights, gender equality, and religious freedom.
Ultimately, Sharia is a complex and layered system that, for Muslims, provides a spiritual and moral guide aimed at aligning life with what they believe is God’s will. Its application varies significantly and does not inherently threaten non-Muslims or impose religious laws on them.
