Wu Yanzi decides not to go to the Conference with Shen Qingqiu the year that Yue Qingyuan would participate. So, Shen Qingqiu does not see Yue Qingyuan and doesn't not kill Wu Yanzi to save him. Instead, he stays under his "tutelage" for a lot longer. Until he finally snaps...

Shen Qingqiu always had a penchant for fire. There was a reason he burned the Qiu household and watched the flames burn higher. What better way to say a final goodbye to his "teacher" but the same way he bid farewell to his "family".

(I don't know guys, the image of Shen Qingqiu watching Wu Yanzi burn is living rent free in my brain right now.)

We'll stick to roasting poultry in an oven, rubbed with oil or larded with bacon and stuffed with stuffing or perhaps a whole lemon sliced halfway through at one end.

A setup like this, with some way of releasing the turkey initiator into the cooking-oil accelerant at a preset time, would be something a fictional arsonist might try, at the time of year when These Things Happen.

I'm less sure it would work IRL. Trying that sort of heat-the-oil-and-be-elsewhere arson around (!) would let the oil follow the rules of any other kitchen grease fire, and reach non-turkey flashpoint at a time of its own choosing.

Which, as anyone who's had a pan do that scary WOOMF! ignition will know, is always the wrong time.

I like to think that the solders who die in the magic forest are kinda trapped there as punishment after death. Like, because of the slaughter they at least allowed to happen, their spirits can’t move on.

And that bears who spread the propaganda about unicorns, were in command or actively trained soldiers (think like, Padre or Caricias) can sometimes feel the pain of their wounds…

…So think of the absolute AGONY someone like Azulin, who *burned the forest down* would feel the moment he died.

Augusnippets Day 21 - Path of Whumperless Whump - Delirium

for the doc lovers, except they're being 17 instead of horrifying (Aspen Weiss is their old name and Joni is their fraternal twin sister) i kinda did a weird thing with the prompt but hopefully it's ok i am eepy myself

Aspen knew they'd gone too far. Despite their efforts to ignore the fact, their body was, unfortunately, human, and there was a limit to the number of hours they could study without pausing for sleep. If they were honest, nutrition shakes and coffee weren't much of a substitute for sustenance either. Their hands were shaking around the mugful of stone-cold liquid between them.

How long had it been since they turned a page? The textbook in front of them was nothing but a blur, time and space seemed to flow around them like oil on the surface of water. Distorted sounds teased the edges of their hearing. If they didn't know better, they'd chalk it up to mania, they were no stranger to psychosis, but the sleep deprivation had induced a sort of delirium instead. The difference was something they ought to know if they were to become a doctor.

Yes. The exams. The exams they needed to pass in three days if they ever wanted to escape this seven-devilled facility. They didn't have time to study and to prepare their grand exit, so much needed to be done, and neither part could go forward without the other. Hence sleep was the first thing to be cut. Now they were realizing that had been an error in judgement.

"-spen? Aspen! Az, come on, are you in there?" Oh. So some of the sound had been real. Their eyes were slow to obey, blown pupils fixing on Joni like a drunkard's.

"Jävlar, what'd you take?"

"Nothing… clean. Promise." Oops. That had been a microsleep just then. Hopefully Joni hadn't seen it.

"Helvete. You're falling asleep standing up. You're going to bed. No complaints." That was fine, because they didn't have the energy to.

Again, always very confusing to me when people suffering from The Obsessive Compulsives are Antis™, like these people will not protect you. They believe thought crimes are real. They inherently hate you and WILL throw you to the wolves if they ever come to know about anything related to your intrusive thoughts or the """""weird""""" things they ask you to do in therapy to manage/cope with them.
